I give the building and the surrounding areas in town a 5 star but inside the donut shop, I would rate it a 3 at best. A creative license plate sign inside sitting on a window ledge was really the only item that caught my attention. The space was gringey and dirty, the donut case was small and lacking variety. The glass was difficult to see through. The employees were just as boring and lacked a single smile or personality. Looking around for a napkin I see a small table as you walk out with napkins and a water dispenser that screamed to me "don't drink it" Cool town though.

I am a cinnamon fanatic who never thinks there's enough cinnamon in desserts, especially cinnamon donuts. However, the amount of cinnamon in the cinnamon twist and bavarian filled cinnamon stack was truly mind blowing, wonderful, and plenty to satisfy me. The other donuts were equally as delicious, my favorite being the old fashioned. My husband said the maple bar and apple fritter may be the best he's ever had. My only critique was the buttermilk bar was on the drier side but I think it was just over baked (I'd still get it again next time because the flavor was great). They rotate flavors often, but Raw Honey & Sea Salt and Cinnamon Sugar are always available. The chai flavors are also excellent, especially the King & I, inspired by Thai pandan tea. While I do gravitate towards the donuts first, I know they are also famous for their chai. So if you are a chai fan don't skip that option here. I just had a chance to interact with their mobile food truck at an event, which was such a fun aspect to the overall event. I got a quad of donuts and a chocolatey chai! Also I will say this: Pip's offers a free birthday dozen, which is incredibly generous gift. My birthday falls around the holidays so I usually can't make it in, but I want to be clear that I have absolutely zero complaints about that.
