The doughnuts here are the best I've had in Vancouver. I think this place is a hidden gem. I get doughnuts for my family all the time. They sell out fast so come early! read more

Can't say enough good things about this place! Friendly staff, cheap prices, and truly some of the best donuts I've ever had. Got a half dozen (buy six get one free) including a cinnamon twist, Bavarian cream filled cinnamon stack, maple bar, apple fritter with apple filling, blueberry fritter, and a glazed old fashioned and buttermilk bar. I am a cinnamon fanatic who never thinks there's enough cinnamon in desserts, especially cinnamon donuts. However, the amount of cinnamon in the cinnamon twist and bavarian filled cinnamon stack was truly mind blowing, wonderful, and plenty to satisfy me. The other donuts were equally as delicious, my favorite being the old fashioned. My husband said the maple bar and apple fritter may be the best he's ever had. My only critique was the buttermilk bar was on the drier side but I think it was just over baked (I'd still get it again next time because the flavor was great). Can't wait to come back here next time I'm in the area! read more

EAT MORE DONUTS! Absolutely the best in Portland Vancouver. I moved to Mexico almost 3 years ago and came back last month on a Friday night This was my first stop Saturday morning. I'm sorry DONUT NOOK it took me this long to write this. These donut are light and fluffy. The fillings and toppings are right on. They do the bakers dozen 13 instead of 12. Their prices are more than fair compared to Portland donut shops. I have at least 6 favorites. Just go before 10 am so they haven't sold out of anything. GOT DONUTS? read more

Very friendly staff, good coffee and nice assortment of sweets! Overall, nothing but good things to say.

Some of the best donuts in Vancouver! We used to live up the street and frequented. Haven't been in years until today. They have these donuts called "stacks". They are soooo good. And they also have cream filled ones. You have to try them. The cream filled is next level. They have the best Bavarian cream ever. It was already noon when I was on this side of town so I called to see if they had anymore cream filled stacks and they had ONE left. Needless to say, I was on my way. When I got there, to my surprise, the lady working had put it aside for me. Such a nice gesture as I didn't specify I was on my way but she must've heard the excitement in my voice! lol Just as I remember them. So freaking delish!! Had to grab a couple raspberry filled, and an apple fritter as well. read more

When I get a donut craving, I come here. This time I gathered some glazed raised, apple fritter, lemon filled, Bavarian cream, Pershing and cinnamon stack (cream filled) for my coworkers. People are always impressed. Even hard core glazed only purists are amazed. Just the best donuts ever even against stiff competition from Randy's and Sidecar from LA. read more

This is one of those places that driving by you would never guess the goodness within, except if there's a crowd... the donuts are always delicious. I love cake donuts and this place never disappoints. My husband loves the bear claws here they are huge and yummy... my kids prefer the cream or jelly filled which are definitely a higher quality filling than your standard shop... this a treat when we come to indulge! read more

The best donuts in town. Always. The other shops don't hold a candle to Donut Nook. I love that it's just a little shop, not a fancy chain, and the service is always friendly. Yum read more

After nearly 50 years in business, doesn't the Nook's longevity speak for itself? This place has been here forever, and the simple formula of excellent donuts at a reasonable price has sustained it throughout. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? It seems to be a gathering place for old-timey locals to sip coffee and chat about whatever's on their mind. Hey - if that's your jam, cool. Speaking of jam, I had the blueberry filled donut, and thinking about it as a I write this review has me salivating. Yup - legit doughy goodness. I hear fritters are their thing, and I am sure that'll be on my list next time. It might be another 5 or 10 years before I go back, but I am sure it'll be there, and just as good. read more

Great service and the food is the BEST!! We always stop here for the absolute best pastries!

Omg what a cute spot! And the donut tasted amazing. So fluffy and fresh and filling. The way a donut is supposed to taste ! I got a raspberry filling and the woman that rung me up was soooo sweet. Definitely worth a try if you were on the fence!! read more

Stopped in for a sweet treat after having lunch nearby. It's an old school building and atmosphere inside. They do have their own parking lot out front and a variety of seating options inside (couch area, bar with attached stools and a couple tables). Their donut case had a nice variety of donuts and flavors. When we were there they only had cherry fritters available. The looked delicious, but I was really hoping for an apple. I did see they had another favorite of mine, the Bavarian cream! I ended up getting one of those and it was delicious! The donut was nicely browned on the outside and soft on the inside. A lot more dough than I'm used to, or prefer, but definitely tasted fresh. The cream on the inside was super yummy, as well as the chocolate frosting on top. I'm kicking myself now, after reading other reviews, that I didn't get a maple bar too, for later. I'd also like to try their banana fritters and cinnamon stack donuts. Overall a nice experience. The pricing is comparable to other similar establishments and quality above par. The ambiance inside isn't appealing to me, but a great place to get donuts to-go! Would recommend. read more

Donut Nook has been in business for 46 years, and appears to have a dedicated and loyal following. It also appears to be a family-run establishment, and the people working there are all very kind and helpful. The donuts are also inexpensive, and Donut Nook has varieties that I've not seen at any other donut shop (such as the "cinnamon stack"). The flavor and quality of the donuts seem not to be quite as good as some of my other favorites. I'm particularly fond of the lemon filled, though, as the lemon filling seems to taste like it is made with real lemons and is light in color, quite different than the neon yellow artificial-tasting stuff that most donut shops use. The parking lot is basically parking spaces in front of the shop, and this area is very narrow and tricky to navigate. One must be very careful backing out because it is narrow enough that backing out can easily put drivers into the street. There is more room on the side of the building, but it is not clear if that parking is permissible for the donut shop, or if it is for the other businesses. If you're looking for a noteworthy lemon-filled donut, I'd recommend coming to Donut Nook. read more

We have found our donut place! Service with a smile, and coffee in real mugs. Homey store. All that is great and all... but the donuts, man, they're really good. 4.5 stars. read more

This place is a favorite of mine. It's a small family run business that makes donuts how they should be made. When you walk in it smells like a childhood memory of mine; of how donut shops used to smell before they got to fancy for their own good. They have all the classics and a few you're not going to find anywhere else. I'm talking Apple fritters injected with Hostess apple pie filling. Cherry and sometimes blueberry fritters. Buy a dozen and get one or two free. Looking forward to being one of the old timers there every morning for coffee and chat. Not a fancy interior but a great product. read more

This place should DEFINITELY have 5 stars. Anyone who rates it less.... they are lying to themselves. You walk in and immediately return to your grandma's house who hasn't renovated since the 70s. Slight cigarette smell from the old couches and a really charming lady who works the counter and greets you. Get a dozen - try them all. I promise you that you will not regret biting into these rings of pure joy. I got a simple chocolate cake donut for my first taste of them and had to eat the entire thing. The filled sticks and the jelly filled ones.... I shouldn't have wrote this review so hungry! read more

5-star service, 4.5-star fritters, and 3-star doughnuts mean I'm a fan of Donut Nook and the comfy couches in its cute reading nook. The friendly team behind the counter greeted me with smiles. Of course, you don't need bonus cheer when tempted by donuts, yet, the warm welcome still warms my heart ... and review. The fritters are hailed as the "thing" to get at Donut Nook ... and I agree. You can taste real fruit in the fritters of soft layers covered in a sweet glaze. The Cherry Fritter may be the most famous and it is indeed tasty; however, I loved the Apple Fritter with yummy chunks of apple. As for the donuts ... well, they literally put the "dough" in doughnuts by being the breadiest most dough-y donuts I've had in a long time. A sweet-frosted Maple Bar was my favorite thanks a thick lather of sweet other word mapleness. Two similar offerings were a regular Chocolate Bar and another Chocolate Bar with Sprinkles. The version with sprinkles was the more fun of the pair. Donut Nook is a popular local Vancouver hangout. I finally know why thanks to its family-friendly nook, heavy donuts, and fame-worthy fritters ... plus stellar 5-star service with smile. read more

Best donuts ever! The Bavarian creamed filled chocolate covered are exploding with cream filling like no other! Best kept secret no longer!

I've tried this place 3 times and I have had the same experience each visit. (Show up around 7:00am each time, which should be when they are the freshest) I always get the baker's dozen and get a random assortment. I bring them back home and everyone says the exact, same thing. "These taste like day old donuts." Every, single one of them tasted old. The long Johns, the fritters, the twists, the filled, and the cake donuts. I have tried desperately to find something that was good at this place and I have tried nearly every donut but each time it's just dense, stale, and dry. I ended up just throwing away my dozen yet again. Review score only reflects the product. I don't usually make a comment about service, but it's clear not all are welcome. read more

This donut joint is some of the best in the area. There are some off reviews but don't let those scare you away.
