I'm a big fan of a local coffee spot. Even more so if the drinks are good, there is space to hang out, and the baristas are helpful. I popped in on a weekday morning and it was bustling with people. The line wasn't long and I got helped quickly. The person taking my order was friendly and offered solid information comparing their chai to the London fog. He proceeded to ask me about my day and seem like he actually cared. I wasn't sticking around, but there were open tables. Things were clean. They also have plenty of room to sit outside if you'd like. There are pastries and some cold drinks in a case. There aren't a lot of gluten free options, but they did have one muffin I could have had. The drink preparation takes a bit of time. There were people already waiting and many of their drinks have special preparations (pour overs, steeping the tea). Have a minute to wait. I had the London Fog and the baristas advice held true. The flavor was worth the wait and I will surely go back. They roast their own coffee and make you feel welcome. Plus, there's a bookstore across the street. Love all around. read more

It's a nice coffee shop. When I arrived the line was very long and not moving very quickly. I needed to grab a stool from the side bar while I waited. Staff is friendly. Coffee is good. The space is large and open so you don't feel like you're BFFs with all the patrons. But that means you're missing the cozy atmosphere. This is a great coffee shop & roaster near downtown Vancouver that has some of the best rated coffee in the 'Couve. I needed some beans and only had time to pick them up after work. I had planned to try another highly-rated roaster my son told me about not far from Relevant, but they close at 2:00pm (Hint: their name starts with a T). So I went over to Relevant, which I've been to several times before. They stay open till 5:00. They have better prices than a top-rated roaster in Portland (hint: it starts with a C). I have came to this coffee shop around 10 times now and I am still impressed with the service and how clean this establishment is. They have a very small but good menu with amazing options for fresh bakery items. They do have merch which I think is super fun and it is in a very convenient location if you wanted to just walk across the street to grab a book while you drink your coffee. read more

This is a fun set up here as Relevant deals with a coffee shop aspect while the Irrelevant side is a craft brewery! I got two different cold brews from Relevant Coffee and I really liked both. Each option brought it's own unique signature to the cold brew as one would hope and they proved to be good ones. One type was the Ethiopian blend which I have had before as a cold brew and always really liked it. This was no exception at all and I would love to have it again as it's richness just hits the spot on some days. The other cold brew type was a little richer. Different flavor profile for sure but very good and that was the Cold Brew with Ranger Cacao. The richness in this one with the cacao is great! Good, bold cold brews as one should expect! read more

The coffee at Relevant is what I judge all other coffees on. I order a 12 oz vanilla latte that is PERFECT every time. Maybe it's because they roast their own beans maybe it's because they make their own vanilla syrup? What I do know is 10 out of 10 times my latte always has the perfect balance of milk, sweetener and coffee. The service is always friendly. Relevant coffee is a beautiful coffee shop with a good selection of high quality drinks. I loved how open and inviting the interior was. I came on a Saturday morning so there was a bit of a line, but I only waited about 10 minutes. I got a seasonal iced ginger turmeric drink and a jalapeño cheddar biscuit. The drink was perfectly refreshing and balanced with all the flavors of lemongrass, turmeric, ginger, and coconut milk. Went here at around 8:30 in the morning on a Tuesday and it was pretty busy with all the tables being taken, there were about 4 people in line ahead of me. There's only really street parking nearby with paying to park starting at 8 am. The service was lovely and quick and it seems like a nice place to work and hang out, it's a corner shop too which could be nice to people watch. Overall it's cute, I thought the coffee was mid but some of the pasties were really good. Iced vanilla latte - 6/10 just ok, lil too sweet for me with not strong vanilla flavor Fruit pop tart - 8/10. Really good, sweet but not too sweet Ham and cheese croissant 5/10. Pretty dry, not a lot of cheese flavor wouldn't recommend Chocolate chip cookies - 6. Pretty sweet, lil too much for me. I've always wanted to check out this coffee shop and today was the day. Downtown Vancouver is becoming quit the hipster spot. There are so many cool little spots opening like Relevant coffee. When you walk what catch your attention is the wide open space. They could probably put double the seating in but they've kept the spacious vibe that give the customer a sense of privacy in a room that could be packed. The staff is super hospitable and kind. They serve a variety of your favorite coffee drinks and some pretty amazing looking pastries. I didn't try and of the pastries this time. The coffee was was Carmel latte with the artist touch on top. I tried a 12 oz nonfat mocha and my partner tried the yogurt and granola. Service was super friendly. The mocha was very good, they use ranger chocolate and it wasn't too sweet at all. It was also the perfect temperature. The yogurt and granola was just okay, maybe just stick to coffee and pastries. Overall though I'd definitely recommend stopping in! read more

Pretty typical when the barista asks what you are up to. Some may find this invasive but if you've got something going on why not let them live vicariously through your short exchange? I get my latte and it tastes better than most in the region. If it weren't so noisy or if they went above and beyond for drinks I'd give this place five stars. The speciality drinks didn't wow me or present anything unique. It's Christmas. Make your own egg nog or something. All in all, I like the curation here and will gladly return for a tasty coffee beverage.
