I've been in the shopping center a number of times in the evenings so they've been closed. I was so excited to be able to try Dots Donuts today! I had an apple fritter which simply melts in your mouth. It's big enough to share but today we ordered two because I was being selfish. It was the right decision. This thing is all for me. The staff was courteous and quick to ring up my purchase. I'll be back to try the eruption, a filled old fashioned donut.

Simply the best doughnuts in the area! We got a dozen and were blown away by the quality, freshness, and variety of flavors. No greasy aftertaste. Really high quality doughnuts here. This is go-to spot now. Try the keylime or strawberry glazed ones - my kiddo loved them. A super cute, spacious shop too, and fabulously friendly staff. Worth a visit when the craving strikes!

Donut Friday has found me across the river in Washington. There were too many choices, and entirely by chance I ended up at Dots. It was great. I got a salted caramel and a strawberry blast. My friend got a lemon something or another and a coconut for his daughter. Mine were predictable- the raised cake was unremarkable. The frosting, however, stood out. Caramel flavor on point, and the strawberry tasted exactly right. And they were so pretty. These aren't your bougie $5.00/each donuts, either. A dozen for the office won't break your bank. It failed the coffee dunk test. Still looking for that. Very serviceable, attractive, good tasting donuts, dating material - not gonna marry it. I'm still looking for my forever donut.

Best donuts in Vancouver for sure! Locally owned and operated by bakers with over 30-years experience. Donuts are made fresh daily. I wish they could capture the delicious, yeasty, sweet smell that sweeps over you when you enter and sell it by the bottle! We had a wide assortment to choose from, although Apple Fritter and Raspberry Filled are my "go to" favorites. The maple bars are huge and covered with just the right amount of sugary sweet maple glaze/frosting. The apple fritter could easily satisfy two hungry tummies! The old fashioned are just what you'd expect and I'm looking forward to some brisk fall mornings spent dunking them into my hot beverage. I could quite happily just eat the filling from the filled donuts- especially my favorite, raspberry. I could go on and on, but seriously, you just can't go wrong here, as every donut is sure to appease your sweet tooth!

Got here before they closed by 2. Only ordered half a dozen to go. $12? Whew. So. good. i guess they also have coupons for a free half dozen but I didn't know about it. Check the local grab books or whatever. Drools

Half dozen raised glazed. These are expertly done and are delicious!

Dot Donuts has a great business philosophy. They make all of their donuts fresh in the very early morning, and stay open until 2:00 p.m. or they all sell out, whichever comes first. They usually make 30 varieties each day. Their "filled" donuts are a great take...there is an indentation (think of what a biyali looks like) into which they put their fillings. This makes them easier to eat, and makes it far easier to identify which donuts are filled with what. Be sure to try the coconut cream filled variety. It is REALLY good! The donuts themselves are big, and the flavors are REALLY good! Their plain raised glazed is outstanding, one of the best I've ever had. Definitely stop in and get some great donuts, and be sure to get there early for the best selection!

Wonderful variety of traditional and new flavors

I love finding donut places that open early so I have some options when I'm going in for an early morning meeting. Dot had lots of yummy options but it comes at a price! Stop in for a donut or two (or a dozen if someone else is paying) ... their quality is top notch!

This place has the best donuts in Vancouver. I've tried all the other one that say it, but this one is the best. The flavors are great but also they do the fun things with donuts where the flavors change and there is so much variety from week to week.

Dounot break the bank on a cake when you can have a variety of fun flavors like these!

There's just something about a fresh sweet donut and a cup of coffee. That was my first experience at Dots Donuts. That's when we decided to have donuts instead of a wedding cake. Loved our donut alternative to a wedding cake. Dots unique, fun flavors were a hit at our party and such a delicious treat. Super easy to order over the phone and appreciated the suggestions they made. Don't pay ridiculous prices for donuts. I guarantee your pallet and your pocketbook will be happy if you get your special treats here.

The chocolate was perfect. Similar to Randy's donuts (in CA) but better! William was such a great employee. He took care of us and was super patient with all our questions. She did not smile. She was quite unpleasant actually. I felt uncomfortable being there and definitely not wanted. If it wasn't for William C I would have just left. There was a line behind us, but she was reluctant to help anyone. She was great at micromanaging, but not being a good manager and supporting her team. I found it quite disappointing and she should definitely be reevaluated as a manager. You should definitely think about William C being a manager because he knows how to treat customers. Besides the Donuts, he is a reason why we come back because he is so kind and considerate. Genuinely that is the kind of person that you want as a manager and greeting customers coming into your establishment.

I honestly adore the interior just covered in plants and greenery; such an inviting little space. There was a line when we entered but it moved pretty quickly which was nice. The menu was so so so tempting and honestly, I wanted a breakfast burrito but knew there was no way I'd be able to finish it before we hiked so I went with a breakfast sandwich instead. I love the plethora of options they have for vegans/vegetarians and omnivores alike. I got my sandwich with egg, vegan sausage, cilantro aioli, and avocado - I was initially worried the aioli wouldn't be strong enough or flavorful enough but it was perfect. A very good breakfast sandwich, filling too! You can also get it on an english muffin or on ciabatta which is a nice swap depending on your mood. My friends tried the breakfast burritos, loved them but agreed portions were very generous. We also grabbed a couple scones -- the lemon poppyseed and the marionberry. They were the size of my head but I definitely get the hype around the marionberry scones; would inhale one daily if I could :P Coffee was good and sadly they were out of matcha the day we went so I guuuess we just have to go back to get it! Cecilia is a restaurant for a certain type of customer. I can see a tremendous appeal for some…read morepatrons and not so for others. I shall explain. The ambiance is an attempt at industrial chic. When one walks in, the waiting area has a glass pain which gives an open view into the grill area, a popular chic vibe. The ceilings are high, there are brick walls, air conditioning ducts which run along the ceiling totally exposed, and a bar as the centerpiece of the restaurant. They pull their goal at chic ambiance off well: 5 star. Cecilia also makes a strong marketing effort to the weekend brunch crowd that likes to have a morning fufu alcohol drink as a little remedy for the ole "have a bit of the snake that bit you last night". That is to say they promote a variety of house cocktails that are both rather sweet and attractive to the eye. I feel they pull this off extremely well - delivering what they promote - although I did not indulge. Again, a 5 star performance. As for the service, I would say it was subpar, especially for a restaurant which bills itself as a high end breakfast spot. I had no reservation, asked how long the wait would be, they told me 25 minutes and the actual wait was 45 minutes. Not a good start: 20 minutes off is significant. I ran a restaurant. If you are going to be off, err on the conservative side: tell one an hour and have them sit in 45. If they decide to stay they will appreciate the effort. If they decide to leave, they will not hold it against management but will rather realize next time one should make a reservation. Speaks to bad management. As for the actual service, the waitress had virtually zero character, barely checked on us during the meal - although walked by us a number of times - and it took a long time for our plates to be cleared and the check to be delivered. Service rated a 2 star, and that is being generous. Finally, the food. I was extremely disappointed. Note I went here with high expectations. I left with a low level of gastronomic satisfaction. I ordered the eggs benedict. I tend to order this in a good restaurant because I do not make it at home and it is a great breakfast treat of done well. As for this rendition, mixed review. The pastry it was served on was a delicate, layered pastry which was very good. However, the two eggs were way overcooked to the point that the yolk was virtually all cooked. Most certainly not the way an egg benedict should be prepared. As for the side of potatoes: I frequently cook potatoes with my breakfast - mine blow these away. Not hard to make good potatoes, these were not those. My ladies breakfast was a huge disappointment. It read great and unique on the menu. A shrimp omelette. However, when it was delivered and cut into massive amount of a liquid which almost resembled water filled the plate: talk about unappetizing. Then the contents. They shrimp were the cheap, tasteless, tiny bay shrimp. Talk about no pride in quality of food and quality not rising to the marketing thereof: abysmal effort. An establishment trying to market themselves as a foodie place should use medium to large, quality shrimp which taste like shrimp- not the low end, tasteless shrimp stuffed into these eggs. This omelette would have trouble competing with an omelette at a local diner. I would never serve a house guest such a poor specimen, but then I take pride in my cooking: I do not believe Cecilia's does. As for food, given what they market themselves as - a menu which screams out that we are serious about our food: I rate it as diner food outside of the biscuit and one huge disappointment. In summary, I believe for the person who is trying to impress a guest with ambiance and the quality of food is not that important, go for it because Cecilia's is a good fit. For the patron that enjoys atmosphere, Cecilia's is a good stop. For the patron who likes a good alcoholic drink for brunch, highly recommend. For those patrons who are seeking a solid foodie experience or whom value good table service, Cecilia will deliver a big disappointment.
