Although the sauce for the wings was pretty good and spicy, the chicken itself was just okay quality under the breading. $7 for a can of beer is more expensive than a fine dining restaurant in downtown. You can't be serious? Chimaek is a whole point of getting Korean fried chicken, and this pricing is insane. Also up-charge for a side of a dipping sauce is unheard of for a fried chicken establishment. It's. Base-line item. Coleslaw and fries were average. You have to come to a counter to ask for a soft drink refill, you can't just do it yourself. What was a complete killer is an entitled mom who decided to change the diaper on a DINING in the dining area RIGHT IN FRONT OF OTHER COUPLE EATING. Literally. Photo attached lol. I'm concerned as of why employees didn't say anything? This is so disrespectful to the other guests that had to see and smell this whole ordeal. This must be a major health-code violation too.

12 KJ Thigh Nugget and Chicken Sandwich

I know Donkey Mo is on the list of one of the best Korean Fried Chicken in town but since I'm rooting so hard for BBQ chicken lol, I just havent make my way here yet until recently Ordered the KJ thigh nuggets and chicken sandwich. Pros: All their chicken is fried fresh, oil doesnt taste old, chicken is moist and juicy inside. Chicken sandwich has a homemade Thousand -like sauce that I like. Cons: Their fried chicken sauces options are limited and taste more or less the same (The sweet sauce is very similar to Donkey Mo, just not spicy) Also I feel like their chicken taste a bit bland, more like American style fried chicken than Korean imo. Anyway, it was overall good. Place is nice and clean, good for a casual meal. We didnt have to wait on Thursday night but it got more crowded around 8:30pm.

The chicken here is pretty good and crispy. The sweet and sour spicy sauce is very manageable while the 7/10 donkey sauce was very spicy. The bone in wings are quite large. Fries and coleslaw was average. They ran out of cream corn, I really wanted to try that. Prices here are a bit above average especially at $7 a beer for an order at the counter type place. The employees here are very on top of cleaning. Especially when a mom decided to change her baby right on top of a table in front of another table that's eating.... The employees wiped it down right away. I would like to try the nuggets next time.

Food was very tasty! They served our order pretty quickly. Thd environment felt intimate. Everyone in the group enjoyed their order. I can see Donkey Mo's being a regular spot for us :)

Solid spot for Korean fried chicken! I'd say this spot is more of a 4.4/5. The 10-piece jumbo wings and an item from the snacks portion of the menu is the perfect amount of food for two people. The holy donkey sauce was the perfect amount of spiciness, which I'd rate as a 5/10 spice level--not too spicy if you're a spice lover like me. The classic soy garlic was also delicious! The wings themselves were so juicy and perfectly tender, with the breading crunchy and even. The shishito peppers were freshly blistered--they could've used a bit more cooking (personal preference), but the seasoning was just right. You also get a very generous amount of peppers for the price. Order at the counter, and pick a spot at one of the many tables. Your name will be called when the order is ready. Ambiance is causal but the decor/music is vibey.

Beer, korean fried chicken, fried sides. All perfect after a long day of work. This place is pretty solid compared to the other korean chicken places in Austin. The 6-piece wing combo is more than enough for a person and there are a lot great sides like the fried pickles and sweet potato fries that are perfect complements to the crispy chicken. It's definitely on the heavier side but I know what I'm getting into when I come here. The workers are helpful even though it's not a full-service establishment which I appreciate. I'm also a fan of the decor and R&B vibe. The spiciness isn't too crazy unless you had the chili flake rub which elevates the taste. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the bacon kimchi fries but I'm generally not a fan of loaded fries anyway since all the ones in the middle and the bottom become soggy.

Decided to try this place instead of going to BBQ chicken, and tbh I kinda prefer it over Donkey Mo's! The wings are big but the batter felt quite greasy. We got the holy donkey sauce and sweet and spicy. Holy donkey was actually pretty spicy, but not that much flavor besides that. Sweet and spicy was pretty decent! We also got the tteokbokki and it was...unique? The tteok was fried and it was topped with gochugang sauce, ranch (???), and fried onion. It was very different than traditional tteokbokki. We had a hard time deciding if we liked it or not lol.

6 Wings, Spicy Fried Rice Cake

We've been waiting for another Korean Fried Chicken spot to open up since there aren't many options in the area, and this one did not disappoint. It's a bit tucked away and not surrounded by many other restaurants, but it's absolutely worth the trip. We ordered the 6 jumbo tenders with both the sweet and spicy and soy garlic sauces. Both were packed with flavor and delicious. We also tried the rice cakes; they weren't super authentic, but still really tasty. Prices were reasonable, which was a nice bonus. The vibe is somewhere between quick-serve and sit-down, and the person at the counter was super friendly and helpful. If your only experience with Korean Fried Chicken is BBQ Chicken, this place is a must-try. Highly recommended.

I was too broke to tip so here's the next best thing. Honestly 11/10 We had the chicken dumplings we loved that they came sauced up We also had the chicken nuggets and with sweet and sour sauce , the crunch and the flavor it's just like picture Had a side of onion rings they were good nothing crazy.

The food was pretty good. Wings were juicy and the sauce was generously applied. Offered my bacon kimchi fries to the table next to me because it seemed a little too fishy for my taste. The service was decent for whatever counter ordering is worth. Came in during lunch and ambiance was casual.

There was a short wait and a simple menu. I ordered the soy garlic chicken wings with sweet and spicy sauce on the side. The chicken was crispy and the sauce was the perfect mix of salty and savory. The spicy sauce on the side was the perfect addition. There's not that much seating so I wouldn't come here during rush hour with a big group. This place is definitely worth going to if you are craving Korean chicken wings.

I came in with a couple friends and overall felt it was good Korean fried chicken. You can choose two different sauces for the 10 piece wings or 20 piece nuggets, so I had the wings in soy garlic and sweet and spicy. My friend got the nuggets and it seemed like way more than 20 pieces so I think that was really worth it. The breading is super crispy despite the drizzle of sauces. The sweet and spicy was surprisingly not very spicy at all but flavorful. Of the sides, we tried the corn and the cole slaw. The corn was sweet but kind of plain and I liked the slaw but felt the portion was a bit small. One thing missing is Korean friend chicken places often give pickled radish with an order of fried chicken which they don't give here. Service was friendly enough and the seating area is nice. There aren't any condiments to self serve though.

THE BIG: Located in North Loop and in a small quaint shop. Very industrial inside and functional. Few seats inside and a bar. Plenty of parking available in the lot. THE BLACK AND WHITE: Honestly, one of the best Korean fried chicken spots in Austin. Ordering is simple at the front, you grab your number and sit down or take out. We got the 6pc KFC soy garlic wings boned. They have thigh nuggets, however I'm more boned in guy. I think it's juicier. We weren't able to do half and half on the 6 pc however, the 10 pc, you can do half and half with other sauces. That'll be the move next time. The wings when they came out was nice and hot. They were also big and plump with great flavors! THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall for a 6 pieces KFC soy garlic wing it was around $18. Very delicious and I'll definitely be back to try some other stuff on their menu.

The wings here are amazing! They are well seasoned and the service was quick. Get the sauce tossed with the wings it makes a big difference.

Food was great and so was the service. My only critique is that I wish it would close a little later and that it was bigger.

We ordered the ox knee bone soup. The soup was great and had lots of meat in it! I was surprised by how many different side dishes it came with because usually food court meals come with bare minimum. I would highly recommend this place - the location is kind of hidden in comparison to the other stalls with bright signs so I can see why people end up eating the other places tha this spot.

Narrow Street 512 serves up Authentic Korean food with a personal touch. It feels like you're eating a home cooked meal at your Aunt's home in Korea. I experienced Narrow Street as a solo diner. My go-to dish I order 90 percent of the time I go there is the Chadol Plate (A3). It is beef brisket. You normally need to go to a KBBQ spot and get covered in a layer of smoke. Skip smelling like a campfire and get A4 at Narrow Street. The beef brisket comes with rice served in a metal bowl. You get 3 or four small plastic containers of banchan the rotates seasonally. There is a variety of different kimchi, fish cake, corn slaw, potato salad and more. Once in a while I like to switch it up and I order the Cold Noodles (F1) or squid and pork stir fry (A4). The cold noodles are refreshing with crisp cucumber, white radish kimchi, and korean pear. The noodles are bouncy with a nice chew. Great in Summer and Winter. The Squid and pork stir fry comes with a bowl of rice and it is quite spicy. It is spicier than average but still less spicy than Thai chili. The chewy squid and pork are nicely complemented with the crunchy stir fried cabbage. Once you taste it you can't stop eating it. The price at Narrow Street very reasonable for what you get in my opinion. It is sit down restaurant quality food in a fast casual setting. You can dine solo or go in a big group as there is plenty of seating at the Hmart Food court. You place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to alert you to go pick up your trays of food. The Korean ladies who work there are super friendly and will help you make your menu selection if you have any questions. I've been a dedicated regular since 2023. Narrow Street is my go-to for my Korean food fix!

It is a quaint little place, not too big of a space so luckily they did not have a wait when we went. I give it a five star review because of the sushi. The food for me was good, not the best like not great, but it does satisfy the Korean food craving. Presentation of dishes was so nice and fun, the sushi was on fire literally. They start you off with banchan-kimchi, macaroni, onions, and fish cake. It's standard, nothing outstanding, but they do give free refills! 1. Taimatsu Roll - My favorite dish we ordered. It's saucy and has a nice play on textures because of the crispy fried bits on top. It is stuffed with a sizeable piece of tuna and has a sweet mayo sauce. It is definitely more fusion leaning rather than traditional. 2. Dak-Galbi - A spicy chicken dish with sweet potato matchstick slices and rice cakes. There could be more rice cakes and flavor. It was not spicy at all, more of that sweet savory taste you get from gochujang based dishes. The chicken was super tender and there was a good amount! 3. Beef Rib Stew - This was a warming stew with glass noodles, it is a basic soup that is salty and peppery (some may think it's bland). It comes with a bone in beef rib that is fall off the bone tender! Overall, while the food wasn't the most outstanding, I would definitely come back to try other items (namely the sushi). I would also love to try the inari tofu pockets I see online (not sure if they still have that though since I don't think I saw that on the menu). Also, their other fusion leaning dishes like the carbonara tteokbokki sounds interesting.
