Great brewery! I've been to many wonderful breweries in hotspot areas (Asheville, NC & San Diego, CA) for example, and Dog Rose is right there with them. Great atmosphere, staff and (lets not kid ourselves) great beer! My girlfriend and I walked over from downtown St Aug and chose to rock a flight of all their beers. We took our time and truly enjoyed each style for what they are. Their efforts at maintaining safety due to COVID is also respectful. We went on a Friday afternoon and was nice and quiet. Went again Saturday evening even before dinner and was just as good. Had a food truck though we did not indulge. Def recommend. Wish they had some patches/pins/metal wall art to add to my collection, too! read more

Greeted by a friendly staff, CLEAN, spacious, open tap room with a brewery clearly represented by quality rather than quantity. Every single beer hit the mark and was true to what it was advertised to be. Food truck must have been hand-picked too, because the level of quality and originality of "Wingin' It's" recipes matched the caliber of this groovy little brewery! Totally happy, totally hoppy, totally hippy (Grateful Dead wall decor and atmosphere), totally will be back next time I'm looking for a brewery in St. Augustine! You guys have got it goin on! Get a flight to try as many beers as you'd like. Maybe you can sit with your dog outside but don't be confused with "Dog" Rose for dog friendly. Outside area is narrow and partially covered so not good on a rainy day but inside space is quaint. Nice staff read more

Happened to wander by one night and stopped in for a pint. I didn't even know this place was here but the beer was good and it had a great atmosphere. We stopped in on our way to dinner and tried a couple of different beers and played some darts and shuffleboard. It was a great way to kill some time and play some games while enjoying a cold beer. read more

Dog Rose Brewing happened because A1A Ale Works is no longer a brewery. This is because when they stopped brewing their former brewmaster of 15 years, Doug Murr, opened his own brewery. Now, without the limitations of what corporate wanted in their beers, the first results of Doug's creativity are available. The entire lineup is solid. I have already developed an infatuation with Palace Pale Ale and Speedball Stout. While mostly staying clear of adjuncts, I can't wait to see what else Doug comes up with when he steps out of his comfort zone. With a distillery a stone's throw away I can only hope that a big bourbon barrel aged imperial stout will eventually show up in the future. From Saint George Street head south and cross over King Street (I recommend taking Aviles Street because it is so pretty). Keep going south to Bridge Street. Make a right and you a very short walk away (or like I do make a quick detour to the left first to see the most photographed door in St. Augustine at 15 Bridge first, then head back to the right) During our weekend stay we made multiple stops here. NOT DOG FRIENDLY- after walking 1.5 miles in drizzling rain only to be told dogs are not allowed inside !! only on your uncovered patio! whats the reason when you don't serve food? that is not dog friendly !! that is dog convenient! perhaps you should take some lessons from all the other breweries, especially in orlando- dog friendly is inside . since you don't welcome dogs , we will not be back. read more

I finally got to give this place a try last night and was not disappointed. The first thing I noticed is how big the space was! It's an open layout with high ceilings, plenty of tables and seats at the bar, as well as several games like darts and shuffleboard. There were a ton of people there when we arrived around 4:45. I was pleased to see that they were so busy (I love when new, local places get a lot of love) but even still we were able to find three seats at the bar right away. The bartenders were attentive and friendly and got us situated right away with drink orders. I always get a flight when visiting a new brewery. Each five-ounce pour is $1.50 and you can build your own. Right now they have seven beers on tap with the addition of their seasonal ale. I absolutely loved the Speedball Stout, Oatmeal Stout, and Pumpkin Ale. I noticed they had a rack of wine glasses behind the bar, so for those that don't like beer: they've got you covered, too. One of the best parts is its location: we left to go to Night of Lights and only had to walk about two blocks to do so! read more

On a vacation to St. Augustine Florida I stopped in at Dogrose Brewing. The interior of the place was welcoming and unique. I sat out back at the picnic tables because I had my dog with me. Staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Lincolnville Lager and even took a growler home with me. read more

Enjoyed this brewery and their beers. Only about a 15 minute walk through old St. Augustine and/or Flagler College from the Visitor Center and the Fort. That way you can burn off a few calories walking back to the car! Much better experience than Ancient City Brewing. This was the real deal. I would go back. read more

Stopped in over the weekend for a brew. I tried the sour dead roses. It was a dark sour which I generally don't see very often but it was great. The place is pretty cool with plenty of room to hang out. I played darts for a while while I drank. Everyone hanging out was also very cool. Bartenders were very friendly too. Micro-brew corner bar behind Lightner Museum. Stopped in with 45 minutes left on our car meter as parking lots are nearby. Enjoyed a cold brew after sightseeing. Opened in October '17. Open high ceiling. Bar with friendly waiters. No food early, but a few bagged chips until 5 o'clock dinner, then a limited menu that's simple and perfect for eating and hanging out. Pros: With the Flights you can get multiple and are not limited to 4 beers. Beers are all pretty good Awesome service! Bartender was super cool and told us about some good restaurants to check out where the locals go! Cool atmosphere and fun games! They have shuffle board and darts! Unique for some of the breweries I've been to which have your typical fuse-ball and corn hole. Cons: No outdoor seating and would like a bigger variety on flavors for beer. More a local place than a tourist trap. Near Flagler college, but not on the trolley line. Have darts and a few games inside. Relaxed atmosphere. Some parking, but easily walkable from pretty much anywhere in the historic district. Prices are superb as well read more

We stumbled upon Dog Rose Brewing Company after visiting the Lightner Museum in St.Augustine. Just a block away. The brewery was packed and awfully loud. Service was a little slow and their beer list wasnt huge. They offer a wine list for non beer drinkers which I always admire. We tried the poke your eye out IPA, it was bold and hoppy. Hit the notes you want of an IPA. When we were there they were serving chicken wings from a outside vendor, I imagine like other breweries they have a rotating list of food vendors/trucks coming by on any given night. read more

First time here, we heard about this place from the guys over at St. Augustine Distillery. Awesome welcoming atmosphere with plenty to do (multiple shuffleboard tables and darts). The people both regulars and employees were incredibly welcoming with a really laid back vibe. Pretty big place and a bonus to be able to see all of their brewing equipment up close. Beers were solid....high quality flavorful craft beers with a few unique brews thrown in at a very reasonable price point. $5/pint is a steal! Definitely be returning when we're back in town! read more

Our highlights include: - The ability to create customized grilled cheese sandwiches with tons of options to choose from. (And they were quite delicious) - The atmosphere and environment. - The firm stance in letting people know that ALL are welcome, and hatred of any kind would not be tolerated. Went yesterday (Thursday) evening on a brewery hop. This one was the best!! I was on my first vacation in years and the bartender and environment was such a breath of fresh air. It was relaxing inside with chill music and not obnoxious patrons. The bartender was sweet and informative about the area. Tried 6 varieties on a flight (so cool that you can get however many you want and not a finite flight), they were all so tasty. Speedball is no joke the best stout I've ever had. Not kid friendly! Not women friendly! The owner/brewer is a JERK! He confronted our 12 year old daughter while my husband went to the bathroom!!! No stouts on tap.. Will never step foot in this establishment again! Can't wait until it closes! Definitely a favorite place of mine. The beer selection is the best in the area and I highly recommend the flight for all first time visitors to truly appreciate the offerings. I've been a handful of times and never been disappointed. There are a lot of craft type places here locally but Dog Rose gets my vote. read more

Nice open layout. Can see the brewery tanks in the back which is always neat. Beers were very tasty and reasonably priced. Fun games to play and the owner is a super nice guy who explained the table shuffleboard game to my group personally. 5 stars fo show. read more

We're in St. Augustine Florida. Great quaint place. We stopped at Dog Rose Brewing Company and it was so nice. Not big. The girls at the bar were wonderful. If you love stouts or porters you'll love the Potrero De Mole porter. Excellent. Stop by. read more

I was going to switch to the goose Island macaroon stout that they had from 2024, but they wanted $50 for the bottle which is a huge markup from the retail price of about 20 to 22. I did try the cider Mill doughnut from Blakes cidery out of Michigan and it was really delicious. It was nice to have a fall flavor even though it was still 80° outside.
