If you like root beer...then it is a must have and try. Served in a frosted mug (pictured). They have other handcrafted sodas. Well I guess this review won't matter as much now since this place closed down... I was feeling a hot dog so decided to come here for dinner based on the selections, they definitely have something for everyone here. I ordered the elite corn dog which was pretty tasty... the bread they use I think basically tasted like a Texas toast! I don't remember what my wife ordered but it was tasty... the fries were good but the bacon got to feel a little too much towards the end.., and the kids meal was just a basic hot dog and fries For a little over $30, I guess it was decent.., I sorta felt like trash after but it's because I don't generally eat food like this so I don't really knock it for that. Awesome place! I love the classic feel and look to the restaurant. Owner was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Not to mention a huge menu at that, with lots to chose from! The root beer was the best I've ever had! No joke. He said the family recipe is over 100 years old. I got the chili cheese dog and my fiancée and I shared the epic fries. I absolutely adore this place. From the moment I walked in, until I got my food and talking to the owner I believe. When I first walked in, it was empty but I was greeted with such attention and care. I'm not sure if that was the manager or what bur he was awesome. So, me and my husband finally made it here. We both ordered the chili dog except my husband opted to now have his bacon wrapped. The hot dog and chili were good but for some reason there was an over powering taste of salt on both of our hot dogs. We finally realized it was the bread that was super salty. It's got that 50s diner/ hole in the wall feel to it but with a modern digital menu behind the counter next to the local beers and merch selection. The folks behind the counter were friendly and helpful. Obviously, there is a huge selection of dogs to choose from as well as burgers, many fry options and some hot sandwiches. I went with a classic, the coney dog, classic fry, and root beer float. Made to order, the food was hot and fresh. Good quality hot dog with tasty chili, cheese, and onions on top. The fries were delicious. Crispy and flavorful, I dipped mine in the ketchup provided and washed it down with the float (plus several refills on the root beer. You could come here every day for a month and have a different entree every time. They also do breakfast on the weekends and that looks great too. Today was my 3rd visit here over a 2 month period. I'm hesitant to leave reviews after visiting once, however this establishment has more than earned this 5-star. Dog n sudds is a mom and pop restaurant located just outside of old town. Each time i've come in, it's the same two gentlemen, Tito and Steve. They always greet me with the same positive energy and share with me the newest updates with their business. Today they proudly told me how they scored a major catering deal with a local corporation, and also added some new items on the menu. The only thing that outshines the customer service here would be the food. I've never been a huge fan of hot dogs but after my first experience i somehow found myself here not only a second but a THIRD time. Seriously guys the food here is no joke. They also have chimichurri fries which could be a lot better. If you seen real chimichurri you'll know that this could be a lot better.
