Manager MARTIN (the cook). Yelled at my son. Menifee location (7/11/2026) My son urgently needed to urgently use the bathroom and was knocking at the door. When MARTIN walked out he yelled at my son saying "didnt you see me walk in?" Of course, who walks into a restaurant and stares at the bathroom while they eat??? I tried to get MARTINs information and he denied me his name many times. I called another location and was given his name and the owners name and number. I spoke to the owner. The owner said sorry, but pretty much said theres two sides, of course. I dont want anything out of this i just want MARTIN out of there. But the owner can pick and choose who he wants representing his company. Later if there is a further problem with someone else that turns into something bigger he cannot say he didnt know. I've been to other Jilbertos locations in the area and the Menifee branch is likely the worst of the bunch. It's pretty inconsistent, sometimes it can satisfy (barely) that craving or make you shake your head that you wasted money at this place with so many other choices available. This last visit I got the Chile Relleños burrito since I recently had an outstanding one recently during a visit to SD. Thinking it might be similar was a mistake. This is supposed to be 2 Chile Relleños in wrapped in a burrito. What I got was rice, beans, possibly one Chile Relleños and one Chile Relleños fried batter. I kid you not, my wife took a bite and said it tasted like old fry grease. I didn't finish the burrito and tossed the rest. I'll kick myself before I return here, that was the last straw. read more

Looking for the best breakfast burrito in the area. Got the bacon breakfast burrito here and it's good. The bacon in it is thick and chunky, cheese in every bite and eggs were seasoned well and plentiful. Only down side was the potatoes, though tasty, they use a shredded variety which can clump and lead to bites of mostly potato. Tortilla is good but may be considered dry by some, but it didn't crumble like some others I've had. In Menifee this is a good breakfast burrito and on par with the better ones I've had in Temecula and Murrieta. Aside from the burrito, the location is new and clean. The salsa is good, standard and exactly what you'd expect. In the picture from left to right is mild, medium and hot, and the hot is not overpowering at all. They have a drive through which is how I'll be getting my next order, walking in today the burrito was ready in just under 7 minutes from time to order to bag in hand. read more

I never come to this place, but it was the only thing around when I was working out in Menifee so I stopped here. No wonder they're not busy! Their food is crap! Everything from the taco meat to the enchilada to the guacamole was saltier than shiz!!! Could not even eat it. I ordered chips with some cheese. They charged me five dollars for the cheese. I get home and not only is there very little cheese, but there's guacamole smothered on top of it. I threw the whole thing in the trash. A Perfect Breakfast Burrito This place has had mixed reviews amongst my neighbors some fantastic some terrible. I love to cook my own Mexican food so thus the reason to be posting a review so late. We drove through.... but that was great~ the drive thru menu had pictures of almost every item. a $10 breakfast Burrito was ordered but then served with care and with extreme excellent service. The lady working the drive thru was pretty cool and generous with the salsas and then explained the salsas. The Burrito itself was large, well composed and delicious. The $10 was well spent and I already can't wait to walk in to order as it sounds like they have a great salsa bar. I love this place.. I'm from San Diego and have been trying to find a me. Food place that has the same flavor of Carne asada as my favorite spots in SD. Well they make amazing Carne Asada Fries (my favorite), Carne asada Nachos and California Burrito. Oh I've had their breakfast burritos.. amazing. Not skimpy at all.. and their salsa bar.. live it! Wish I there was an option for no stars. I don't like to complain a lot or tell them too much because I work in food service as well but they're just so rude and always give you an attitude for the littlest things like this. I'm paying $16 for a plate of roll tacos and they give u like no guac, when asked for at least a little more the cook throws a huge fit and the ladies give you an attitude. I'm just asking for a little more since I'm paying almost $20 for food. Also they weren't even rolled I tried giving this to my baby brother since he was craving some and this came out only the edges were rolled not the middle ones. When I was check to see if everything was okay the whole staff were just there staring waiting for me to say something. If you haven't tried this little spot you need to. It is next to the new Arco gas station on McCall. The food is excellent and made fresh to order. The salsa bar is great and always clean, I recommend the green salsa, it's truly amazing and has the perfect amount of heat. In the center of the salsas you'll find the pickled carrots, they are so good too. I just think the guacamole needs a little more flavor but it's still good so the food still gets 5 stars. There's a small area with tables if you want to eat there. The employees are very friendly and always give great customer service. Recently, they made a small error with my order and they fixed it without a problem and made it exactly right. I remember when they first opened for business and were slinging breakfast burritos in the very early AM to the construction workers. Now, they have gained popularity and have a consistent customer base. There's a reason why, the food is excellent. I highly recommend the Conga burrito with the pollo asado, it is my go-to now. I've been looking forward to this place since I first saw the sign they'd be opening. At this point I've been there on three separate occasions and the food is not the same as their other locations. They are located off of McCall heading towards 215 where there's a new gas station. I've never seen their other locations with a drive thru before, so I finally decided to try it. The good news is that my order was correct! The food was tasty, but I asked for crispy meat and it wasn't crispy. This place is trash. I tried like them because they are close to home and it's convenient. I bought a breakfast burrito and almost broke my tooth biting into this big piece of plastic. On top of that they will get your order wrong half the time going through the drive thru. I would recommend avoiding this location finding somewhere else to eat. read more

I went to los jilbertos wanting to get some good "hole in the wall" style Mexican food for a moderate price. I checked the menu before my arrival so i had already selected the shredded beef rolled tacos. The food came out quick and hot. The flavor was ok for rolled tacos, nothing special l, it was topped with guac and cheese. I would have preferred a little less guac or put it on the side and cotija cheese instead of the shredded cheddar that it was topped with. The cook in the back was a little heavy handed with the guac sauce. The service was 5/10, the young ladies behind the counter weren't overly suggestive of recommended or signature dishes, but they were polite and interactive. The esthetics were nice, loved the wall art and self serve salsa bar. Pricing was reasonable over all it was a good experience. read more
