I always love the vibe of this restaurant. It's so nostalgic for me, being that I used to work here years ago. Not much has changed via the ambiance, but the menu is completely different now... so, I'm happy I could come in to try it! My partner and I were celebrating our anniversary and the cute, little cupcake you see pictured here was a complimentary treat! It definitely made us smile! I ordered the Cajun pasta and my partner ordered the Cajun combo! We love some spice and these dishes did not disappoint. I really appreciated the char of the andouille sausage! You never quite get that in Cajun pastas, so having it here brought even more flavor to the table. I also loved that my pasta was loaded with seafood! Only drawback was the cheese toast. It was barely toasted at all and had no real added value to the dish. I also tried my partner's dish and can I just say.... FRIED SHRIMP is everything here! To caveat this review before I write it, I ate Aquarium as part of a group delivery order. I don't want to assume that the food would be as cold, bland, or downright bad as it was if it had been eaten fresh and hot in the restaurant...but it was so bad that I'm not convinced it would've been improved by proximity to the kitchen. Starting with dessert first, the salted caramel crème brulée" was an absolute travesty. It looked looked and tasted like eggs scrambled with sugar; I don't think any part of it was made correctly. It definitely wasn't bruleed, and it sure didn't taste of salted caramel. I've gotten crème brulée as a carry-out/delivery item from other restaurants and had it arrive immaculately torched and delicious, so this definitely feels like just a bad recipe/cook. I got the fried fish tacos. The sauce that came with them had a little flavor, but nothing else on the plate did. The batter didn't taste seasoned at all. The rice was bland and the black beans undercooked. Not a good dish. The side of red skin mashed potatoes were very standard but still managed to be better than the rest. The group shared mozzarella sticks, shrimp kisses, and fried gator bites. The gator bites and one of the sauces they came with were actually nice! The mozzarella sticks weren't very good, and the marinara was bizarrely salsa-like. I didn't try the shrimp kisses myself, but others in the group seemed to enjoy them. Overall, the meal was a bust. I loved this restaurant! We are Landry members and spotted this place and gave it a try and so glad we did. We had a reservation for 3:00, which wasn't necessary as the place was empty on a Thursday. The manager greeted us and personally seated us up front to the aquarium. So cool to watch the fish and sharks swimming around. Our server was exceptional! She was attentive, but not intrusive and very friendly. The menu is varied, so there is something for everyone. This was an early dinner for us so I got the chicken fettuccini Alfredo. Food arrived timely and was presented well and was hot. Yay! My meal was delicious! Sometimes Alfredo sauce is so thick and referred to as a heart attack on a plate. This was not like that at all. Atmosphere - Excellent! The restaurant is situated next to a small part of the aquarium and every table has a great view. Service - Excellent. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. Food - Excellent! Ok, food at a tourist attraction can't possibly be good right? In this case, you would be mistaken. I had a cup of New England Clam Chowder. It was served hot and was delicious. For my entree I had the combo platter of fried shrimp, BBQ Ribs and Jerk Chicken, served with sticky rice. Although the shrimp and ribs were very good, the chicken was the star. This restaurant is so fun!! The wall of fish tanks was way bigger than I thought they would be. We ordered the calamari appetizer, which was amazing. Super tender and perfectly fried. My husband ordered the fried captains plate and everything was perfectly cooked. My daughter ordered one of the fish dishes with the crawfish on top and it was a little spicy but PHENOMENAL. My husband and I both ordered drinks as well. Our bill was about $200. Not ridiculously expensive, but a little higher than your average restaurant but 100% worth it. We had a barracuda that either wanted to make friends with our daughter or fight her, we weren't sure . It's been quite a few years since we've been to the Aquarium and the restaurant. We made an outing for both. Had a blast in the aquarium and we had open table reservations for the restaurant. We ended up at the restaurant 45 minutes before our reservations, but they were able to seat in in about 10 minutes. A table right next to the aquarium windows . We ordered cheese stick appetizers, kids chicken tenders, sliders and fish tacos. I am big on good service and our server was friendly and attentive. Sadly our cheese sticks came out lukewarm. I let our server know and she quickly took it back. A few moments later the manager came out to apologize and say they will be out shortly. He delivered them himself, piping hot and really good. They come with onion strings. A really good appetizer. The mains came out, but once again the fries were not hot. I caught the manager and he quickly took care of them. He said he personally watched them make the new batch. So all the food was good and we while there were a few misses, they were quickly addressed, the manager acknowledged the miss and took care of things quickly. I think I'm a tough critic and my experience is that these mistakes, at other places, are generally not handled well. Here they were! The service was exceptional, especially for a restaurant that is good, but not "high end". I will preface this by saying we came here only because tickets for the aquarium were sold out for the day. I had very low expectations for the food and service but thought my kids would enjoy the atmosphere. Service was as expected...slow and not very attentive. Food was actually better than I had expected, although severely overpriced. The views of the fish tanks were great from pretty much any table. We were seated in a booth but it faced the fish tanks so we could all watch the fish as we ate. If you don't love people on top of you while you eat I suggest requesting a booth or table not directly in front of the tanks. Overall, an a-okay meal. Would I return? Definitely not. Would I come here without kids? Um...no way. If you're able to get tickets to the aquarium there is really no reason to eat in here. read more

We stopped in here after taking the baby to the aquarium this past weekend and it was a decent spot to grab a bite and a beverage. The ambiance was cool that they have tables right up again and enclosure; so there are fishies swimming by as you eat. Pretty unique, though I could do without the people learning how to scuba dive lol, maybe save the lessons for a different tank. The cocktails are what you would expect for a chain type place/ aquarium- made to appeal to the masses so a bit sweeter than I would have liked. I think if we come back I'll just stick to beer. We really only shared a bite as we had eaten before and weren't terribly hungry. We shared some coconut shrimp which was good; decent sized shrimp. Fries were ok, I regret not asking for malt vinegar as that would have made them better. Face masks, and social distancing is a must. It's $8 to park, as well. I really love the ambiance. It's really beautiful and I enjoyed watching the fish swim. I love cups, so I purchased 2 glasses and 1 kids cup from here. :-) My husband and I didn't visit the aquarium, because I forgot to make reservations. But, we ate lunch here and we were pleased. Brianna was our server, and she was really nice and attentive. We started out with the castaway appetizer. We didn't eat all of it. Next, I ordered the fried seafood platter, and my husband ordered steak and a lobster tail. I've never had a desire to eat oysters, but I tried it today. Ewwww, yuck. Glad I only took a tiny bite. It's too fishy for me. The food was great, but I didn't eat all of my lunch. My husband enjoyed his lobster tail and steak. The gift shop is inside, so I purchased a mug with my name on it. If you purchase an adult drink inside the restaurant with the aquarium logo on it, take your receipt at the gift shop, and you will receive a new glass to take home. This place is very cute, and if you've never been to a Rainforest Cafe or Aquarium Restaurant, you should definitely check it out. Especially if you have children. Here are a couple of things I noticed though. -The gift shop is small, and very cramped. It was difficult to get a stroller around the place. -It has a confusing layout. After a quick run through the aquarium (too crowded and not enough people wearing masks) we decided to grab lunch here. The décor was cute and perfect for a restaurant at an aquarium. We were seated next to the big aquarium wall and could watch the fish up close while we ate. The light fixtures were like fish mobiles and kept the kids in our group happy for awhile. About half the staff was wearing a mask and the tables had a good distance between them even though it was obviously not socially distanced. It felt like the menu had enough choices to satisfy everyone but it was a little too heavily weighted with fish and seafood items for this carnivore. I enjoyed the cheeseburger and chips and couldn't finish all of it - it too large for me. The staff was very nice and our server, Diane, was exceptional. She was available every time we needed her and didn't hover. Went to the romance night for Valentines Day. Great concept - just poorly executed. If your flavor profile is "flavorless" this place should be on your bucket list. The most flavored part was the balsamic dressing on the salad. The steak was tasteless and chewy. My night didn't end well after this dinner. Just stomach cramps. The strangest part of the experience was going through the exhibit after dinner. Most of the aquarium lights were off - so unfortunately we didn't get to experience the whole exhibit. The aquarium was amazing it was my first time there all the way from Phoenix. I brought my wife as a surprise as soon as we got into town. The exhibits of all the fish, the tiger exhibit, and the array of exotic fish wear a beautiful sight. To top it off we enjoyed brunch in the aquarium restaurant and the presentation of the food was amazing the alcoholic beverages was amazing and the service was amazing. I highly recommend anyone as far as adults teenagers two young kids to spend the day at the Denver Aquarium they will truly enjoy it. What a fun way to end our journey in the aquarium! The food was wonderful, the wait was short, my kids were so happy and honestly, worth the price of the food. So m y Wife wanted to celebrate my Birthday with a "dinner " and after researching she decided on this place that was a little out of the box for us as we usually will go for a good steak or Rodizio on my Birthday. Although we we were seated near the front of the restaurant we were assured we had a prime seat/table in front of the tank. Not a huge menu to choose from but choices that ranged from salads up to steak and Lobster. They did offer a full bar if you wanted to wet your whistle. Everyone enjoyed thier meal but I think everyone enjoyed watching all the different fish swim by while we waited and enjoyed the conversation. Tours are available but reservations are necessary if you'd like to participate in that. I would recommend this place for something different It was a nice experience and enjoyed our time. First off I am surprised by all of the low reviews about slow service we didn't experience that at all. This is reservation only so keep that in mind. The service was phenomenal we had Brianna and she was personable, fast and efficient. We did the romance package for Valentine's Day and it was worth every penny. She took our order right away for everything so she could bring out our meal in a timely matter (which she nailed!) We had a four course meal and champagne for what we would pay at outback for just one appetizer and two steaks (WOW). The steak was absolutely delicious the shrimp were cooked to perfection, every dish we had was beautiful and tasty. The ambiance of this place was relaxing and graceful I loved enjoying my meal watching the fish swim around. Then we paid $8 to park and the lady at the ticket booth said that the will reimburse us inside. While inside they told us they validate outside. Really!!! However there was no onion in the dish I ordered. They said it must have dropped in there by accident... 3 out of 4 dishes "accidentally leaving the kitchen" the way they did seems a bit sketchy. When we spoke to them about the mishaps. They said they would correct it. The manager then brought two dishes out, one in each hand. But stopped on the way to pass one of to someone else to deliver the food with her? They brought the food and let us know they weren't charging us for it and walked away. No apology, no nothing. Here ya go, we took it off the Bill.... At $20-$30 a dish, I could think of a million other places in the area that would make more sense to eat at and not risk food poisoning or allergic reactions to things dropping in your entree by accident. First of all I have stomach issues but that does not excuse the food issues. We had our son and daughter in law and granddaughter with us. So grand daughter ordered kids Mac and cheese with mashed potatoes and orange slices. She got two orange slices and the garlic potatoes were cold. Bc of stomach issues I got the child's pasta which was so gross I would not feed it to our dog. There was very little pasta sauce on the pasta. Pasta was over cooked so it was mushy. I love this place. Very creative and interesting (visitors sit next to a tank and can observe various type of fishes closely, including small sharks!). We ordered the fried gator (wanted to try out how it tastes like) and the Broiled Fisherman Platter (all seafood in one dish, including lobster tail, stuffed and grilled shrimp, scallop, crab, tilapia, and seasoned vegetables). The Platter's portion is generous - my partner and I were full after sharing one platter.
