Been going to Ding Tea in Tucson for years and they never disappoint! This charming boba shop is very conveniently located and has beautiful interior decoration. It has a modern, light cafe ambience and is a great traditional boba shop. There are lots of seats available for catching up with people or studying/work. They also have board games available! The staff are always very kind and helpful and the boba balls are always warm, soft, and chewy. My favorite order is their matcha slush (low sweetness) with boba but they also have a variety of Asian-inspired flavors such as ube, yakult, honeydew, etc.

Let me start by saying that the tea was delicious - I ordered the taro milk tea - and the service was excellent. I do wish my drink would have had more ice, though. And I was really looking forward to trying the golden boba, but those are now only offered on weekends. But overall, good experience!

Went to Ding Tea on a Saturday night and trying to find parking was a struggle it was my first time and I didn't realize they had more parking in the back, but thankfully I got a spot out front! The shop is really cute with surprisingly a lot of seating with how small the space is. I ordered a Hokkaido Milk Tea with boba and it was pretty good! Only downside is that the boba was too soft and kind mushy. But flavor of the tea was good!

One of my favorite things to do when I travel is try new boba places- all boba places are different and never offer the same drinks, desserts, or fruit teas! I ordered a peach black tea with lychee & my friend ordered the Hokkaido black milk tea. Both were delicious- my fruit tea didn't have an overwhelming peach flavor like some drinks do & my friend's drink was sweet and savory with the tapioca pearls and regular sugar level. As always, this place has a cute seating area & nice atmospheric music.

Love this place so much!! But for some reason, I had a different experience tonight! I ordered my occasional strawberry milk tea. Usually get it just the same. With less ice 25% and 75% sweetness. For some reason it was full 100% sweet (taste) and full ice (I'm not usually a big cold drink consumer) I wasn't able to assess the drink before I got it this time and had it delivered instead. Unfortunately it's too late to fix it by now, but I hope the crew will understand that drinks should come out consistently, and adjust the levels of sweetness accordingly; I'm sad my drink did not come out as I anticipated! (Last few times were quite the same!). I would love to try ordering again in person so that if there's any adjustments needed to be made, I would be able to communicate it.

Always a great boba option!! I've ordered tons of green teas (passion fruit, strawberry, mango) which have all been refreshing! Everything is pretty customizable such as sweetness and ice levels and there are various toppings available like pearl boba or fruit poppers. Recently tried the taro milk tea which became my favorite as it's super rich and creamy! The service is quick and the tables are clean. They have some card game options which are fun.

The fruit teas are good! I have not tried the milk based teas. My go to is the wintermelon green tea with golden boba. It's hard to find this flavor of fruit tea at other places in town. The space is cute but small and without a restroom so we've only done take out. Definitely recommend trying it out !

Cute decor, quick help with ordering and paying. My drink was delicious! Love that there are games to play.. And my daughter thought this place had fun/cute things!

Always difficult to write a review on a place based off of one drink! I ordered the mashed taro burnt cream milk, tea, basically a jasmine green tea drink with milk and mashed taro, topped with a blow torched cream foam. Overall really tasty, but I don't get much taro flavor except with the actual taro bits. It's very creamy and tastes more like dessert than a milk tea. The menu at Ding tea is very extensive, though, and I would be willing to try other drinks.

I'm not a boba fan but a small human that I'm close too is. And she gives this place 2 thumbs up. She did a black milk tea with golden boba and half sweet. She said it was delish. And better than the black boba she gets at another spot. So I'm gonna say this is a win!

SO AESTHETIC! I loved the ambiance inside here. Lots of cute decor and lighting, so Instagram worthy. They have a large menu and lots of options, so be sure to be prepared to order! The 16oz size is a great amount for me. I love that they have coffee jelly here, as not every boba place does. They put A LOT of jelly in my drink, I had a lot extra at the end. I really enjoyed my hazelnut milk tea, it wasn't too sweet. I'll be back!

Always excited to see new boba spots open in town. Went with my family and met up with some friends there. Overall we had a great time. My daughter loved the decor and my son drooled over all the drink options. The staff was friendly and helpful. They really have a good system down for getting the drinks done relatively quickly. It was decently busy so we probably waited 10 mins in line and another 10 mins for our drinks. Our group got two house milk teas, two fruit slush, Thai tea and taro tea. All the drinks were solid and I appreciate the variety of toppings and ability to customize sweetness and ice. Something that I struggled with was the strong smell of industrial cleaner when I first walked in. Not sure if it's like that all the time or if my nose was just being sensitive. As one of the better boba shops in town we'll definitely come back and try more at Ding's.

I was after something basic, my usual of a cold brew with some variety of flavor and almond milk. Sadly, they did not have any sugar free flavorings beyond matcha, which I was not interested in, so I went for half sweet salted caramel with almond milk. I went with a large cold brew and with the add-ins, it came to around $5, which is a solid price! Sadly, the iced coffee was not good. It was borderline sour, which means it had been hanging out for a bit too long. The flavoring and milk couldn't even mask it and I could only stomach about half of it before calling it a day. Additionally, service was "bleh". Both baristas I encountered were low energy and just odd vibes for a cute local coffee shop. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, as it sounds like their more complex house drinks are a bit more exciting. Now I know, and I wouldn't mind giving them a second go when I find myself back in the area. But until then, solid 2.5 for me.

It doesn't look like a traditional coffee shop from the outside -- you walk around a wall to get in -- but once you're inside, the space feels intentional and curated. They also have outdoor seating with umbrellas, which is comfortable in the winter, though it would probably be warm in the summer since it's not fully covered. The coffee is very good and definitely leans into the craft-coffee vibe. Drinks come in one size, and when I once asked for whipped cream, they let me know they don't carry it -- which actually made me laugh because it fits the whole minimalist, elevated style of the place. All 4 of us have extensive experience in the hospitality industry and appreciate the stresses. Since we are unfailingly friendly customers, as so many servers are, & because there were only 6 other customers at your coffee shop at the time, sharing our experience is warranted. We visited the Main Gate shop just after noon on Saturday, 4/18. The barista was wearing a cap & O'Neill-branded t-shirt; he has a salt & pepper beard. Requesting my cappuccino in a ceramic cup, he stated, with obvious exasperation, "You can just say 'for here'." He was also visibly irritated when we requested 3 Dirty Chais of various sizes & shot strength, as if this request was overly complicated. We would have ordered food, but he was so unwelcoming we did not. Nor did we linger. We have visited this location other times and have only been treated warmly. Clearly this barista does not represent the customer service your employees normally provide. You can train people to make a good coffee. Training them to be pleasant is more complicated & best documented. Hence, this review. An unpleasant experience like this has no place in Tucson. It's not who we are & it's not who you are either, I know. We hope this gentleman finds another line of work soon
