Found this place when i was heading back from the huntington beach and start craving for some boba. Amazingly, they franchised the dingtea closed to the beach. Pretty nice plaza that you can find your parking easily. The girl told me they just open like few week ago. We order first 2 jasmine milk tea with crystal boba to try out less sweet. Turn out it was pretty good. I love it. So we end up to buy 4 more for our brothers at home. Lolz will come back and support for the shop. Nice decoration inside and friendly service. I like to try Jasmine Milk Tea at every boba place I visit and omg it's really good here! Creamy, slightly sweet, and yet refreshing tea flavor. I tried a mix of the Crystal boba and the Golden boba and both were cooked perfectly. I also tried the kumquat drink and it was very interesting with fresh kumquats and a plum xi muoi flavor to it. So far I've tried the rose milk tea and monster latte boba. This is the second place I've tried that has rose milk tea and it's second best to the other place I usually go to. Newly opened location in Costa Mesa. Very easy to set up a club fundraiser with them which is a plus! They were very professional and offered to help in any way possible. They easily handled the large crowds and pumped out consistent drinks throughout the night. I see a lot of potential in this Ding Tea location. Drinks were consistent with other locations. I got the brown sugar milk tea and would avoid it the next time around because it was too sweet for my taste. Either that or I would get half sweet. The golden boba consistency is one of my favorites and doesn't get hard easily! Would really recommend if you're in the area. read more

I've visited many Ding Teas but this is the first time I ever got disappointed! My tea was 75% ice and the drinks tasted really off! Staff were not as friendly as other locations and music was blasted so loud that they couldn't even hear our orders. Great study spot! I don't usually get add-ins in my drinks because I'm very particular about my boba pearls, but I actually enjoy getting the honey boba from here in my milk tea. So I've been craving boba for the past several weeks and pretty much went to all the boba shops near our house. Found Ding Tea on yelp and decided to give it a try. It's in an awkward plaza next to a nail shop and Pier 1, but their drinks are legit. The signature milk tea is the best I've had in quite some time and the golden boba are soft and chewy. So far I've tried the signature milk tea, peach green tea and kiwi aloe juice, all were delicious. I'm not a huge fan of overly sweet drinks, so I love that you can reduce the sweetness. I usually get half sweet, which is just right for me. Ask the people behind the counter for recommendations, they're happy to help! read more

I am a big boba drinker, sometimes two cups a day from 7 Leaves, Ding Tea, Feng Cha, cha for tea. Tonight, December 11 around 8:30pm, I ordered 5 drinks to take home for my family. When my sister went inside to pick it up the drinks, workers all seemed to be lost. When she handed them cash the cashier took it and stared at the register for a moment, confused. The cashier handed it back and asked her to pay with card. Why would she take it if they don't accept cash? Anyway, when the drinks were being bagged one of the girls spilled a drink and just stared at it with her finger in it, and the kicker is when I arrived at home and handed out the drinks to everyone one of them was totally incorrect. Instead of a kumquat lemon green tea they gave me a small rose milk tea which none of my family members like so it just went straight down the drain. Looks like this closing shift wasn't on top of their game, and especially acting so nonchalantly, wearing sweats and vans and preparing drinks with no gloves, I'm not sure I can trust these people to make our drinks hygienically. 10/10 would not recommend coming back here unless there are stricter policies to make sure the job gets done right the first time. read more

Bring cash with you, otherwise there is a $5 minimum if you're paying by card. Workers are always friendly every time I come here. During one of my visit they took a long time to make my order but considering that it was a busy night I didn't really mind, plus they apologized twice for the wait. After my 3rd visit I decided to just go ahead and get their stamp card (or more like punch card since they use a hole puncher to punch holes into your card). I've also been to their Garden Grove and Gardena locations but this one is closest to my house. It seems that each Ding Tea location has their own stamp card and can't be used at other locations because they have different owners. Sweetness level tends to differ between drinks so you have to figure out what sweetness level you prefer for different drinks. Of the drinks I've tried so far: Hazelnut milk tea: got this on my first visit here and asked for no sugar. Apparently I was told that they couldn't adjust the sugar level on this and if I wanted them to use less of the hazelnut syrup so that it's less sweet and I said yes. Unfortunately it was still too sweet so I decided to never get this one again. Signature milk tea: I got one at normal sweetness with golden boba and another one for my sister at 30% sweetness and no boba for when she got off work. It was good but at normal sweetness it was still too sweet; my sister let me taste hers and hers was much more tolerable than mine was. Ginger tea: this one is always served hot. Incredibly soothing and perfect for a cold day or if you're sick. I don't recommend getting boba with any of their hot drinks, though. Strawberry milk tea: got this at 30% sweetness. They also added golden boba even though I don't remember ever saying that I wanted golden boba, but I like boba anyway so it's no big deal. Has a strong strawberry flavor and at 30% sweetness it was still sweet but not too overpoweringly sweet. Their boba is nice and chewy; out of all the boba places I've been to in Orange County, Ding Tea's golden boba and Tastea's honey boba are my favorite. read more

Matcha milk tea with boba: Great matcha taste, as in, it doesn't taste like dirt, like some matcha milk tea do. 30% sweet is still too sweet for me. Golden boba is soft and chewy, exactly how I like it. If you are expecting boba with more bite, like traditional Taiwanese boba, it's not that. But again, I prefer the pearls to be cooked like this. The price is a bit higher than I expected: $4.09 for a regular sized matcha milk tea with boba. It's located in a dead strip mall where Pier 1 Imports is. This business is a great addition to reviving this strip mall and for Costa Mesa. read more

I ordered the peach green tea which was good, almost a tad too sweet but tasted good. We also ordered honey milk tea which the misses enjoyed. I always come here and they never fail to provide top service. All the employees that ive ever encountered have been super friendly. I wish they had smoothies or slushies though. Their menu is limited to milk teas and flavored teas. However their drinks taste amazing and I would highly recommend anyone to try out this place. read more

Wow, ding tea is my favorite boba place but I have to say this location is the worse I've ever had. I ordered the jasmine green milk tea with grass jelly and it was not sweet AT ALL. The ones at Westminster, bolsa and Buena Park had been consistently good. I have no idea how this place can be so far from it. I had to ask them to add sugar in my drink TWICE. I'm definitely never coming back. It was such a huge let down because this place is much closer to where I live. I would rather make the extra drive for a better drink than to go here. read more

This place has a great selection, and I love getting my signature milk tea. Though the quality here just doesn't seem to taste the same as opposed to their Garden Grove location. While I love how this location is much closer and the wait isn't as long, to have it undermine the quality doesn't make it very worth it. Then again, their prices are a lot better than most other Boba places, and I hope that after some time they will improve their quality down the road. In the meantime, I won't mind waiting longer for milk tea if the quality is worth the wait. read more

This little shop is so cute and modern. Very spacious. there is open area where they make the drinks in front of you so you can really see the fun that's happening there.
