Ding Ho is a must go for Boston Chinatown visitors but remember to bring cash as this store and many others do not take card. The store itself is quite small with no sitting area so plan to walk to the park to eat. I ordered lo mein with the two chicken curry options they had and drizzle of sriracha. The food was HOT but yummy! It could've used more sriracha as it wasn't spicy at all. I would definitely visit again!

Delicious rice noodle! Can't beat $3.50 for perfectly cooked rice noodle and delicious peanut sauce! I got mine with sesame seeds and soy sauce also. There is also the option to get sriracha if that's your jam! I also tried the Singapore noodle which was a good texture but had too much of a cabbage flavor for me. Service was quick. And the venue is definitely take out style hole in the wall so be ready to get in and out and eat on the go! I'd definitely be back!

Value value value!!! Show up with a $10 bill and you and a friend will be satisfied. Great prices, good food, and quick service. Come early because they sell out of dumplings after noon!

Another day, another lunch at Ding Ho! Super friendly service. Love the ladies that works there. Always greeting me with a smile. Love their vermicelli noodles and curry chicken. I hope they incorporate another dish or something. That would be really good for business!

So glad to find this place during my recent trip to Boston. They open at 8am daily but closed on Sundays My go-to was their Hong Kong Cheung Fun (Rice Noodle Rolls). These noodles are thick, bouncy and soft and smothered in a mix sesame/peanut butter/soy/hoisin sauces. I can't get this in Florida so this was a treat, and it was inexpensive at $2.50 for a generous portion. We also had to get their dumplings to eat along side with vinegar sauce, these are $1/piece! This is a takeout place only, the inside has enough room for just a line of up to maybe 6 people. There are 3 seats outside though for a quick eat and run. This place is a gem, nothing fancy, just cheap and tasty eats. The lady behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. Come by here for atleast those 2 items, you won't be disappointed.

Hot and sour soup was banging! I searched everywhere for a good soup and this hit the spot! Quick service and the lady was super friendly

What a little gem tucked on the corner on Harrison Street in Chinatown. Cash only so be prepared but totally worth it and very economical. Hong Kong Street Food Classics. Affordable authentic comfort food that will round out your day in Boston

Update: the large take-out box is now $7. The box itself is marginally smaller, and they don't pile food up until the box can barely open anymore. They still give a decent quantity of food, so it is still extreme value.

Good food cheap! I love the noodles-they pack a ton in a small container, and it's only $2!

Does this place have a cash register and do they give receipts? I need it for work purposes when I get a meal

They have a register but not one that appears to be functioning other than holding cash. I'm sure they can scribble something for you but would it be sufficient for reimbursement?

Shanghai Classic Pork Pan-Fried Buns上海生煎饅頭: I was instantly hooked! It's hard to imagine finding such good pan-fried buns in the US. Almost every table ordered them, so they were all freshly made, piping hot. The bun was made with unleavened dough, making it chewy and refreshing, with a light, crispy bottom--not oily or hard. The meat filling was substantial and tender, with plenty of broth (see picture). It was sweeter than salty, incredibly umami. The chili oil was also very fragrant, and dipping it in Zhenjiang vinegar enhanced the flavor and cut through the greasiness. Shredded Pork & Preserved Vegetable Noodle Soup雪菜肉絲麵: The noodles were thin and round, with a soft, mushy texture. While the noodles were clearly machine-made, this isn't a problem in the Yangtze River Delta region; the issue was likely overcooking. The shredded pork were well-stirred, with tender meat, but the noodles lacked flavor. They had to be eaten with the pickled mustard greens雪菜 to be slightly salty, and the umami flavor was severely diluted. The tableware is all disposable, and tipping is not mandatory. It's quite affordable.

We're from Shanghai and love the food here. We used to just get the shenjian mantou, but recently…read moretried several other items: the scallion oil noodles (very fragrant and addictive), the shepherds purse wontons (my favorite, and hard to find), the pork and pickled vegetables noodle soup (reminds me of what my grandma used to serve), and they had seasonal flaky meat-filled mooncakes that my daughter and husband loved. It's small and no frills but very clean, and the staff were helpful and patient, and I appreciate the lack of harsh cleaner scents that dominate so many otherwise good restaurants. My mom typically requires more "ambience" when dining out but will always happily go here. I don't live in the area or would be going regularly, but stop at least once whenever I'm back in the area. We also have food allergies, which can be tricky for eating out, but they clearly knew their ingredients and cooking processes well so we felt safe eating the food.

Started with the cold noodle appetizer and also ordered sweet and sour shrimp and the pork belly. Everything came out fast and the perfect temperature. We split the cold noodles as a side to each of our entrees. All was bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced. I had a machi martini which was lovely and kinda strong, but that's ok. The menu is wide and varied. Note some items are rather expensive. We stayed with the basics. Our server was attentive and really just lovely. Highly recommended. Also, it's in a lovely neighborhood. This place was busy so it took us a while to get someone to place our order, and unfortunately one of our dishes never made it to us. Of the food we ordered, everything tasted delicious. We ordered the salted yolk lotus root, mapo tofu, dan dan noodles, and pork buns. While all the dishes were flavorful with a nice blend of umami and spice, my favorites were the dan dan noodles and the lotus root. The lotus root had a nice crisp texture that made it easy to snack through as an appetizer. The dan dan noodles were the perfect entree with the tofu and pork buns. We also ordered the honey steamed spongecake. I think this depends more on audience as some of our group loved it while others were fine after one piece. Either way, it felt like a nice unique dessert to round out our night.
