During those visits, the service was excellent, the food was consistently good, and I was impressed enough to leave a very favorable review. Today, however, was a completely different story. The restaurant was not particularly busy, yet my food took an unusually long time to arrive. While waiting, I was seated near the kitchen and could clearly hear employees engaging in loud horseplay and unprofessional behavior, which did not create a very welcoming dining atmosphere. I started with a cup of the pork green chili, which I normally enjoy. It is usually served with crackers, but none were brought out. When I asked for crackers, a cracker container was brought to the table, but the crackers inside were stale and soggy. When I politely mentioned this to my server, the response was simply, "That's how we get them," before walking away. There was no apology or attempt to correct the issue. When my cheeseburger finally arrived, it was severely overcooked and very disappointing. Everyone can have an off day, and that's understandable. What concerns me most is the noticeable difference between the excellent experiences I've had previously and the poor service and food quality I received today. I truly hope this was an isolated incident because I have enjoyed dining here in the past. For now, though, I'll be taking a break before returning.

- Excellent First Visit to Dimitri's Restaurant While getting a haircut today, the barber mentioned a few great local spots, and Dimitri's came up. I had never been before, so I decided to give it a try--and I'm really glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The restaurant was very clean, the service was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, which made for a perfect lunch experience. I ordered the tropical tacos, and they were outstanding--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. One thing that really stood out is the setup--it's almost like three restaurants in one. There's a pizza section, another area with a wide variety of dishes including pasta, and plenty of options no matter what you're in the mood for. Parking was easy, which is always a plus, and the whole experience just felt comfortable and well-run. I would highly recommend Dimitri's, especially for a relaxed lunch or even happy hour. At one time this place was grand. Iconic, being on the lake in downtown Sebring, it had all the makings, but since then it has gone downhill. Service is unattentive at best. In our group one person asked for cream for their coffee. The Hispanic waitress promised it repeatedly and never brought it, Another person ordered the "jumbo sea scallops" and got a small handful of the tiniest scallops I have ever seen. And my ham and cheese omelet had no ham, and just one slice of American cheese thrown inside. They have a display case for cakes and pies but when I went to look they mostly looked old and dried up. Even so I tried to ask a waitress behind the counter a question about a pie, and she was visibly annoyed at having to answer me and just said "no" to everything as she clearly did not want to be bothered to open the case. If you're looking for a fantastic mom-and-pop restaurant with some Greek-inspired dishes, this is the place to go! My husband and I have dined here multiple times, and we've never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and attentive, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. The food is consistently excellent, and the restaurant is clean and inviting. Was there today ordered a BLT with French fries. French fries were cold so the waitress brought them back. The cook must have put them back in the oil to get them hot. They came back to full of oil to eat. My waitress went and told the manager who could care less. I paid the bill and won't be going back. By the way my sandwich was also supposed to come with a pickle spear and it didn't. Suggestion to the manager at else pretend you care. First time here was two years ago. Wasn't impressed and was way too loud inside to relax after…read morebeing up for 40 hrs. This visit was a bit better. The waiter was polite and friendly. Could have been by a bit more than the three times. But not a big deal. Food was good. The carnitas was a bit on the dry side. But salsa and hot sauce fixed that. Rice was flavorful as well.
