    Small dine-in spot.

Please don't miss Dim Sum King on Jackson Street in Seattle's Chinatown worth stopping here. Yes, it's the only place where you can still buy authentic Chinese dim sums starting at $1.30 per piece. You didn't hear it wrong. Most places on the west coast would charge $6-$8 for an order of dim sum items these days. Dim Sum King is pretty unique at cheap affordable prices. Downside is there's not many tables and chairs inside and it's not fancy or modern inside. Straightforward dim sum to go spot. Tiny spot, but stands out. Easy to pay cash here. Chinese staffs are hardworking and efficient. Everything looks great and tastes great, especially if you're looking for old traditional and authentic dim sum items. There's a piece of white paper with pen/pencil at table for you to place your orders whether dining inside or ordering takeouts. $1.30 per piece is pretty darn good for frugal eats. Even if you buy 3 pieces, it's still way cheaper than in other U.S. metro cities. Love it. I'll be revisiting again. I just wish there's more dine-in tables or even outdoor dining areas. Other than that, it's a legit stop here with delicious dim sum items.

I love me my dim sum from my auntie's at dim sum King. Best price best dim sum takes me back to my childhood in San Francisco.

This place is a true Seattle gem. After sampling the heavy hitters, I'm comfortable saying Dim Sum King has the best dim sum around without going to Vancouver. Not only that, but it's also the most affordable with a price-per-piece around $1.35 for most items. The Siu Mai, BBQ Pork Bun, Custard Bun, and Shrimp Cheung Fun are personal standouts. With that said, this is not your typical dim sum restaurant. You'll find no leisurely rotating tables or endless pots of tea. Instead it operates more like a bakery, optimized for takeout. This seems to be a point of disconnect among other reviews here. Service is focused on efficiency, but you can take as long as you need to decide what you want by using the paper ordering sheet and referencing pictures on the wall. There are tables you can usually snag to dine in with, but expect everything to be boxed regardless. Go in understanding this, and you'll have an excellent time. overall 5+/5

For this return visit I actually got lunch from here for my parents and me since we were around Chinatown for a bit. Like the Food Walk itself, this place gets very crowded during peak lunch hours when they're open; every seat was taken and everyone else - myself included - got our goodies for takeout. You pay depending on how much you get; for example, one piece of siu mai is $1.30 each as of this writing. All other food items follow in a similar suit. We got the following: - Egg tart: my favorites though they have cookie crusts. I do prefer flaky crusts but the egg yolk has the right amount of sweet to balance the crust. - Siu mai: fresh and piping hot. Meat was also fresh and didn't have a weird aftertaste. - Green onion bun: each one is pretty big, and there's just enough green onions on them to distinguish between similar buns like the baked BBQ pork bun. - Sponge cake: didn't eat this myself but parents thought this was all right though a little too set. - Baked BBQ pork bun: my dad's favorite. BBQ pork is sweet and complements the bun itself. - Meat bun turnover (Shanghai pan-fried buns): I always like getting these in places like Din Tai Fung and Dough Zone. The ones here are even better, with a ton of filling in each bun and a nice crisp from the pan fry. A classic staple of Chinatown that serves awesome dim sum that edges out the competition pretty well considering dining in has gotten a lot more expensive lately! I see myself coming back a lot more, beyond the number of times I've gone here since high school, of course.

Yeahh.... NO... food was ok. Edible and not bad, but had communication issues speaking with them in theirs and my native tongue. Weirdly awkward.... Didn't know you can get a single chicken feet. Lol. Lady didn't like it when i ask for more and kept adding to my order. Sorry bro, didn't know what i wanted, but was hungry and wanted a familiar taste for the journey ahead. Next time i will just go somewhere else....

I went here at the end of the day on a whim, and they mainly had siu mai left. It was so delicious, definitely the best siu mai I've had in Seattle. Filling amount was decent. The ladies here are so sweet too. Definitely will be back earlier in the day next time!

I love Dim Sum King as you can order dim sum items by the item, rather than a plate that comes with multiple! Good choice if you're eating alone or with a group that may prefer different items than you. The ladies packaging up the food for you are fast. You fill out a little menu card and they pack what you wanted on that card. The only downside is that the menu is small and does not contain all the dimsum items, soy sauce and hot sauce are extra charge, and if dining in there are no plates/dishware and they are a little stingy with giving out napkins. Their congee could also be a little hotter, it's always just lukewarm in my experience. There are a few tables inside you can eat at after getting your order, the food is packed to go so you eat from the packaging. Bus your own table after. It can get quite packed on a weekend! Parking is also a little tough since there's no dedicated lot for the restaurant. All in all, Dim Sum King is a great cheap place to get dimsum if you're looking for the basic variety, may not want to go to a traditional sit down restaurant because you don't want 3-4 of each item, and is a no frills takeout restaurant with some seating inside.

Located in Chinatown, parking is plentiful and easy to find. There's no indoor seating whatsoever. However, you can get it togo and there's an outdoor courtyard area with some seating right behind the restaurant. Service could use improvement. The lady helping us out was in a very cranky mood making us quite uncomfortable. However there's a good selection of popular dim sum items. Food was absolutely delicious. We got some steamed BBQ buns and egg tarts. I especially enjoyed the egg tarts. They were fluffy and not too sweet. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, Dim Sum King is a great place for some delicious dim sum. Customer service could be better but service is quick and items are packaged nicely.

It had always been a fave spot for getting cheap individual pieces of dim sum. However, in the past few years, prices have gone wayy up - so now it's pretty much the same cost as going to get sit-down dim sum for some of these items. And every single time I go in, the ladies behind the counter are *super* rude and always rush you even when you feel prepared with what you want - their attitude is just really offputting. even if they run out, which they do often, they talk to you like it's your fault for even asking. I am used to bad service and an attitude often, especially at traditional restaurants, but every single time? It gets tiring being yelled at the moment you walk up to the counter, even as someone who has regularly come here since I was a kid and will even order in their native language.

Swung by Dim Sum King in the International District on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was a total mess--couldn't find a spot anywhere, so I just got dropped off. Picked up a few of my favorites: * Sio Mai * Fun Gor * Sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf * Turnip Cake All super tasty, just like always. There was a line, but it moved pretty fast so no big deal. Heads up though--they only take credit cards if you spend over $10, so bring some cash if you're just grabbing a few things.

This was really affordable and tasty! We would definitely come back. Though the focus is more take out, you can eat inside if you'd like at one of the little tables. I recommend going early if you want more choices. They will make more but you'll have to wait like 10 min. The portion sizes are very generous and they are well packaged. If you want them to separate things, let them know in advance.

My all time favorite Dim Sum spot in Seattle. They always have such a wide selection. I got the Pineapple Bun, BBQ Pork Bun & some Chow Mein. Some of my other favorites I get are the Dumplings, Shumai, & Shrimp Rolls. You cant find any better tasting or priced Dim Sum around

Love this place for a quick stop for delicious dim sum! Their shu mai is absolutely yummy and it's my favorite from this shop and you don't have to order sets here! They often participate in the CID food walk so if you'd like to try their foods, it's a good opportunity but they're very affordable so anytime is a good time to try them out! I also like their egg tarts as well. The ladies at this store are quick and efficient making this a quick stop for a delectable meal in CID! Such a solid dim sum location and I would definitely recommend it to others!

Credit cards accepted. Originally, we were just going to stop by for fast HK style breakfast or something light before heading to the airport later that early evening. Surprisingly, after we had a plain porridge/oyster sauce ginger scallion noodles/rice noodles/water & coffee, we actually ended up talking to the boss lady in Cantonese for another good two hours. She treated us to two teapots of good authentic Chinese brewed green tea. That was a very good hydration stop and we got to know her a bit. Good people. We added the favorite HK french toast afterwards which was excellent/exactly the way we like it to be. Old HK cafe/coffee spots can be good. Boss lady said that Seattle Chinatown has been hit hard due to high inflation times. There were cases where groups of families ate here and didn't pay/they took off eating free foods. Small businesses suffer. We were very satisfied with our stop and look forward to coming back in future. Foods are great tasting and authentic. The Chinese name, 全記麵家, has little to do with the name Mike, but is nevertheless an excellent choice for anyone in the area. The staff is very Cantonese through and through. It is a cash only establishment and their menu is heavy on the noodles, be it in soup form or dry. There isn't a ton of room for large groups, but the turnover is quick and thus the weights are usually quite minimal. Service is very good overall and super friendly. I would highly not recommend using their bathroom, as it's tiny, cramped, and not in the best condition. The noodle soups vary from wonton noodles to fishballs. They also specialize in beef brisket and fishballs, making this feel like a bit of a Hong Kong style cafe. Most of the soups average out to be $14-16, depending on size. It's a joy to watch them assemble the bowls in lightning quick fashion. Wontons are excellent. They're plump with just enough skin for texture and are complemented by a fragrant soup and very little skimpage on the noodle (#1). The large dumpling (aka "sui kau") is an excellent wonton alternative for those looking for similar textures. The beef brisket is tender and they also have a dedicated section for just congee. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. H Bistro 3.8/5…read more Food - 3.8/5 Quality: 3/5 Portion sizes: 5/5 Flavor: 3.5/5 We ordered the staples like chow mein, house fried rice, angus beef, and my personal favorite: the honey walnut prawns. To start, the portion sizes are amazing. When I saw the waiter pull out a whole vat of fried rice, I was already nodding in approval. They're big and make you feel like you're getting your money's worth. The quality of the food I would say is slightly better than average. While the fried rice and noodles were great, the shrimp used for the honey walnut prawns had that rubbery/synthetic mouth-feel, so docked off some points for that. Taste-wise, the noodles and rice were pretty light and a bit bland, which makes sense why the soy sauce tasted extra salty. Use it as a good counterbalance. I doused that rice in soy sauce and sriracha because it was me, but if you're not a fan of bold flavors and are looking to lose weight (but still love fried rice), it may be more up your alley. Honey walnut prawns were buss (not minding the texture thing), and the angus beef was seasoned to perfection. I'll take 3 more plates of that angus beef if not for the fact that my dish was 1 part beef and 3 parts zucchini. Would've preferred more beef for a dish that was 23 bucks. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the zucchini dish with a side of beef. Water tasted like tea and and not the other way around. Service - 4.3/5 Hospitality - 4/5 Speed - 4/5 Wait times - 5/5 Nothing too remarkable here. It's a family owned restaurant so the vibes were very homey. We got seated right away because we were loitering outside the door before the open sign turned on. Wait times were fine. It took roughly 15 mins for everything to be pushed out, with the fried rice being the first dish to land on our table. Hospitality was average. The waiter checked in on us a few times and asked if we needed refills for our water, but that's about it. I enjoyed saying hi to the occasional kid who popped in the shop. Design - 3.25/5 Interior: 4/5 Exterior: 2/5 Neighborhood: 3/5 Amenities: 4/5 Outside is mid, but the inside is lit with decorations and fun lights. Again, very homey and easy to navigate around the place. Neighborhood is the CID which can be shady at night, but we went during the daytime so it was chill. Just look over your shoulder every once in a while and carry pepper spray. Bonus points because the trip to the bathrooms didn't feel like going to the backrooms. Overall, food was semi-buss, waiter said hi, I didn't get jumped, the inside wasn't a liminal space, and the bathrooms wasn't a trip to the backrooms. 7.6/10.

I had remembered this after visiting nearby businesses and was also bookmarked after seeing another Yelp Elite Rita frequent it. We slid in and decided to dine onsite the last hour or so of their business day. There's a large shared parking lot, as well as, street parking. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. Lots of seating configurations and typical interior decor. There was a lively family group that was wrapping up their dinner. I noted there was brisk takeout orders being picked up and three other parties that dined onsite during our visit. Great wait person who provided water, hot tea, and menus upon being seated. He was also patient as we decided from the expansive menu. We were also checked on by another gentleman towards the end of our meal, presumably the owner. We feasted and also had plenty of leftovers to take home. We selected salt and pepper calamari with green onion and garlic, half roast duck served with plum sauce, almond chicken, sweet and sour pork, and steamed rice. The freshness and flavors really stood out for me. The roast duck was exceptional - succulent meat, crispy skin, and not overly greasy! Generous entree portions too.

I do love a restaurant anniversary--especially when the celebration includes DIM SUM at $4.99 a dish! Now THAT is my kind of party. Happy 11th Anniversary, Hong Kong Bistro! Been a while coming back and already I'm wondering why it took Moshii so long to arrive at the table! I finally tried the Chinese Doughnut Rice Noodle Roll--a first for me--and now I understand the obsession. That wonderfully chewy rice noodle wrapped around the crispy Chinese doughnut is such a delicious textural contrast. Add a bowl of warm rice congee and suddenly you understand why these traditional combinations have stood the test of time. Then came the Xiao Long Bao--delicately steamed, filled with luscious juices and a lovely little morsel of pork hiding inside. One bite and careful, darling... don't spill the treasure! The Peanut Chiu Chow Dumpling, Hong Kong Bistro style, was another delightful surprise--steamed, nutty and packed with wonderful flavor. And the Lo Mai Gai--sticky rice filled with those wonderfully unctuous, savory little goodies tucked inside. Remind me - Chinese sausage, beef minced and black mushroom. Comfort food wrapped up in a little bundle of deliciousness. And those $4.99 anniversary specials? Darling... Moshii is officially a FAN! Good food, good tradition, generous portions and a restaurant celebrating 11 years by sharing the love with its customers. Seattle Chinatown, you may have just acquired one more devoted dim sum queen. #HongKongBistro #SeattleChinatown #DimSum #SeattleFoodie #MoshiiEats

So portions are awesome. Cod with tofu claypot: there was a bunch of fish and tofu in here, gravy was good, came out hot, would get again Beef chow fun: loved the flavor, didn't love the texture of the beef where it was a little mushy/soggy?, might try with a different protein next time Salted fish and chicken fried rice: a classic, usually one of the dishes we get to scope out a place, not too oily, pretty tasty with chunks of chicken and salted fish String beans: didn't really like this dish, string beans weren't crunchy, the sauce was a bit sweet, I would try a different veggie dish next time Chili oil: the chili oil at the table is pretty tasty and spicy!
