Tried dig for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The line moved quickly to order and staff were helpful in answering questions. I appreciated the student discount (10%) and enjoyed my bowl. Lots of students and corporate staff eating at lunch so can be difficult to find a table. It's nothing extraordinary but portions are filling and price is typical for Cambridge.

Chipotle style, healthy fast food casual chain now all over Boston. Choose your own bowl, or their combos. Went with salmon bowl and dear husband chose honey chicken bowl (comes with Mac and cheese). I enjoyed the seared salmon, roasted broccoli, would prefer carrots over sweet potatoes next time. Overall affordable healthy and filling meal. Seating available indoors and outdoors, more smaller 2 person kind tables. Bar seating available. Close to Kendall T station, so quite a bit of office workers and students stop by during lunch.

What a great spot! Fresh, delicious food options, friendly service and excellent prices.

ORIGIN: Dig originated in Manhattan in 2011 and has expanded to several East Coast states. LOCATION: This Dig location is near Kendall Square. The address represents three sides of an "end cap" of multi-story buildings, making use of GPS misleading. The entrance to Dig is at a quiet side street, making pick up to be a thankfully easy task. EXPERIENCE: During Spring 2023 I was first introduced to Dig through a Connecticut YES experience. I was so impressed that I had reported in my review a plan to place a large order during an MIT event scheduled the following year. The event I was responsible for had sixty people who wanted to have lunch included in the registration price. On the online order form I noticed that several dishes are recommended for take out. I spoke with Matt at the location a week in advance, and he expressed confidence that the Saturday team could easily handle preparing the order for 11:30 AM pick up. He also noted that MIT had recently placed a far larger order than mine, and suggested avoiding custom combinations if I needed to pick up shortly after shop opens. Attendees selected from four established dishes (Avocado Grain, Tofu, Crispy Chicken, and Roast Chicken), which was aligned with Matt's advice to avoid customized bowls, yet represented all popular dietary restrictions (e.g. vegan, gluten-free, nut-free). A colleague and I arrived at 11:30 and Mauricio and Floyd were in the process of packing the assembly line of dishes. Having labeled covered individual containers made it easy to distribute and ensure food was equitably distributed... especially given it was anticipated that attendees arrive at different times -- even after the scheduled lunch hour. Event attendees reported pleasure in having a healthy and flavorful lunch (typically lunch at these events pivot around deli sandwiches). Some inquired about where I had placed the order. In the end Dig contributed to the MIT event experience and attendees were introduced to Dig. I would not have known about Dig if it was not for being introduced via Yelp Elite Squad experiences. TIP: Enroll in rewards program to receive points towards free dishes.

Super friendly staff, clean environment, and great food! Would dine again and recommend to others as well.

Super friendly staff members! Really good portion! Liked all the sides and most of the protein options (except chicken breast was a little try and lacks flavor)

I love Dig, and I recently had a delicious catered lunch from this location. They have plenty of well-labeled vegan options and everything tastes fantastic. I particularly love the kale cashew caesar salad!

Dig has real food - herbed Chicken, sweet potatoes, roasted potatoes... to name a few. Healthy comfort food. My favorite is the sweet potatoes. I also use Dig for catering at the office downtown. Ordering is easy, deliveries are on time and I always get a follow up email asking about the service. Plus, my employees love it!

Yummy food and easy to order through DoorDash. Great gluten free option for those who need it. The food was seasoned well and cooked right!

This is a brand new edition to the lunch bowl scene in Kendall Square. It joins the likes of Cava, Sweetgreen, and Chipotle. The vibe is more SweetGreen meets healthy comfort food. They have greens, but for the most part the sides are very hearty and mostly hot. It's comfort food you can feel good about eating. The price point is comparable to Sweet green and Cava. If you sign up for an online account, they'll give you $5 off an order (not a paid promo). The good: - Brand new so no wait or lines at peak lunch time! - clean, inviting place - low key staff - lots of choices, decent portion size - garlic aioli is delicious! - they don't charge for bags. - super close to MIT East Campus - Nice seating area The just ok: - food itself was ok. Nothing to write home about. - the cauliflower and Mac n cheese were a bit more charred than I like, bordering burnt. - meatballs were beef and chicken, but also had very noticeable filler (looked like some rice and veg), not bad but interesting. Clever way to use leftovers? The bad: - 2 of the employees handling food were maskless. There's still a mask mandate in Cambridge and even sans mask mandate, it's just good hygiene for those handling/cooking food to not be breathing their germs on it. I'll be back to try another bowl!

Food was good but the portion was ridiculously small. I don't plan on coming back until they serve decent size portions.

Closes at 9pm, but stops cooking food and puts it in foil containers on their counter at 8. Not heated. Definitely wouldn't go after 7:30pm

I went for my graduation dinner, and they had a hand written card at the table waiting for me to wish me congratulations. To start, we had the focaccia bread to share and clam chowder, so delicious. Best clam chowder I've had, and it had whole clams in it. For mains, we had pasta bolognese, salmon, and the green apple chicken. The chicken was the juiciest I've ever had, the salmon was cooked to perfection, and the pasta was so flavorful. The presentation was great as well. Vanessa was our server, and she was so kind, helpful, and attentive. After seeing another table get the oysters, we asked the restaurant manger, Dan, what they ordered. After explaining it to us, I told him I never had oysters so he gave us the appetizer for free to try! Everyone who worked there was bubbly and warm, genuinely some of the best service I've ever experienced. Everything was a 10/10. Will definitely be coming back!

The mashed potatoes it came with were so good. - Apple crumble (6/10): Would skip this and go for something else. Overall, a great experience and we will be back for the roasted oysters!

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The almond biscuits had an overpowering almond flavor, and the flavor of plant-based protein was terrible! (Oh, this should have been a plus...)

Nothing out of the norm, average, quick, and attentive service. The food was phenomenal! I had the Beef tips & Chicken tips, and for dessert I had the "it's brownie time" ice cream & brownies combo, which I recommend highly. I love that the focus is around serving food in Tip as their highlight. I will say a lot of their food is cooked with alcohol, so slow down and read if that's something you're trying to avoid. Typically when restaurants charge higher in price the food is average in taste, but everything else we ate was a home run. I will be back to try more! For the scenery of the restaurant it was a mix of a Bar and fine dining. I like that, if you're there to watch sports and hangout you can easily do that. If you're there for a nice and simple date they've separated a space to do just that as well. It's been a while since I've been enthusiastic about a restaurant and I have to say the restaurant was a great experience, please try!

We tried 4 different types and every single one tasted super fresh, clean, and just really high quality. You can tell they know what they're doing here, even the way they shuck it is nice and clean, no shell pieces or anything. Their menu actually has like 10+ kinds of oysters, highly selective and premium. I really wish we had more time (and stomach space) to try more. But we already had like 3 dinners planned that night lol so this was more like a "stop by and eat as much oysters as possible" situation. Honestly I'm pretty sure the other food here is just as good, based on what I saw on other tables. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Boston.

(I'm certain the staff are aware that many of their diners express shock, once the price is disclosed...) Many folks simply make an assumption or a guesstimate, as to the price, when they see 'MP' on a menu, and this is usually based upon their prior experiences, ordering such a menu item. So, for example, I was thinking the lobster roll might be in the $40-45 range. So imagine my utter shock, when we received the bill, to see a charge for $69?? I have never in my life had such an expensive lobster roll. Yes, it was delicious, and the housemade potato chips were also great. The slaw was also good (though it was a very tiny amount...I would have liked more). But boy, did that price shock me. I would normally never have voluntarily ordered a $69 lobster roll. It simply never would have occurred to me, that a place would ever charge that much....
