    Chickpea Fritter & Lavender Lemonade
    Connie L.

Their Chickpea Fritter is SO good. They don't skimp on the add ins (as seen in the pics) and they encase so much flavor in their falafel, pickled veggies and sauces. Falafel is especially crispy but can get a bit gritty at times. Had some great service! Everything came out in a timely manner and the counterperson was helpful & friendly. The only thing I regret getting is the lavender lemonade. You're basically drinking some lightly seasoned lavender water. Hardly any lemon flavor.

I've been to multiple Clover locations mostly on business trips and had the pleasure to sit down for lunch with family and friends this weekend at the renovated Harvard Square location. Usually a fan of the falafel sandwich which is fresher and tastier than other Boston competitors in plant based fast casual. On this trip we ordered the chicken fingers which were as close to "real" chicken as I've seen in a plant based restaurant in the US. Only small downside is that fries feel slightly on the soggy side. The service is very fast here also with surprisingly low lines even at busy times , and the university pennants on the tile wall are a nice touch also. The future is bright for Clover especially if there are technological improvements that make the plant based meats even more authentic .

    Verde Potato Breakfast Bowl

The two stars is given to the service, and probably the nicely boiled eggs. The food part, except the eggs, is nothing to eat unfortunately. It is soaked in oil--- which I don't know if the oil come from the beans or the verde. It is my first time to try Clover breakfast and likely the last time.

Love this Clover food lab on Mass Ave and also love the Science Center location. Some of my favorite breakfast items are Tunisian breakfast bowl ($8.35) and fresh orange juice ($9.89). I would absolutely love to bump it to 5 stars if the price could be more affordable. But the food is SO good!! I love the breakfast items are made to order. Service is always friendly. Ambiance is nice, a mix of group tables or individual stations. Indoor air ventilation always great in the morning hours (haven't been here in the afternoon to test it). Highly recommend it if you want a hearty breakfast!

Wasn't sure what to expect from this place, but I really liked it! Sandwiches and fries are good, and my gf tried the coffee and really liked it! I didn't love the seating arrangement (communal seating is always a challenge) and it's on the pricier side for what you get, but it's a prime location so I can't complain too much! Stay Cheerful

Passed by this place while wandering about and doing tourist things at Harvard, it's really just across the street. There was a sign outside advertising their chickpea fritter, which caught our attention. It turns out that this is a great vegetarian joint! They just seemed a bit understaffed. There were 4 people making food in the kitchen, and only one person to make coffee/tea/juices and take customer orders. The service was still great, considering how busy they were with orders. A lot of customers seemed to take their food to go. Side note, but an "Order here" sign might be a good idea, as there were a few of us confused by the setup. The menu had a lot of healthy food and drink options, the carrot juice lemonade caught my eye, but I didn't try it this time. My friend ordered the sandwich that was advertised and I decided to try their BBQ seitan sandwich with an iced hibiscus tea. My sandwich was delicious and the bbq sauce had a nice sweet flavor. The hibiscus tea was also good and not too sweet, though my Caribbean side would've preferred it to be lol. They get bonus points for striving for sustainability, everything they hand you is compostable, like the sign says. Pro tip: The seats by the window are perfect for people watching! There are a lot of tour groups and interesting characters that pass by this busy street.

I love the history of this Clover location and I always get my food very quickly. There's interesting tile work - it was apparently a lunch counter 100 years ago. I'm digging the new bowls menu - this rice and bean bowl has exactly what I want and is the perfect size (very filling!) Healthy and delicious!

The popover sandwich was a great savory bite to start my day after a run around Harvard campus. The bread was light and fluffy. Inside was a juicy tomato and delicious fried onions. Every bite was so satisfying. No line or wait for a late Saturday morning. Staff was very nice and helpful and the food came out promptly.

There wasn't one thing on the menu that wasn't delicious. The sweet potato maple pecan salad, rosemary fries, the white bean kale soup that tasted like fall, and the fritter platter that still had my mouth watering after every bite. You found yourself a returning customer.

    Seasonal fried mushroom Nashville sandwich

I'll admit I am always a bit pessimistic about places like this and I have had a few underwhelming experiences. Clover food lab however blew my mind completely. Right from the concept, it's story and the way they source their food seasonally and change up their menu blew me completely. I had the fried mushroom Nashville sandwich and it was so good. My wife got the chickpea plate and that was also really good. The food tastes super fresh and you really don't feel like you're at a place that has no meat options. The staff were really friendly and there was plenty of seating inside as well.

Kitchen is so disorganized it takes forever. Hot food made first, so it gets cold before the rest arrives. Nearly inedible.

I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl. It is delicious, but the falafel is too salty. Otherwise, I highly recommend.

My first time in was with a friend to grab a slice of their chocolate cake. She was raving about it all night and it lived up to the hype. The cake is firm but moist and fudgy. Second time, I stopper by on a whim for a slice of pizza. I got cheese and bacon ranch. The slices were delicious. I have been on a hunt for a perfect pizza slice, the kind that droops naturally when you lift it and has the perfect sauce to cheese to crust ratio, this was it. Also thought the pricing was reasonable + they have a great rewards program you can sign up for! I am definitely going to be a regulal here moving forward. They're definitely more heavy handed on the sauce, so request light dressing or have it on the side if you're not lots of dressing. I also found the cutlets to be pretty sparse and dry, and the bread was just not good in texture or flavor. Service was fine, it took 20 mins to come out which was longer than I expected, and the space is small but has some seating. I might sound old, but the music was very loud and abrasive, so I didn't finish the other half of the sandwich and left. For $15 it wasn't my kinda sandwich so I probably won't be back.

Sizable fingers, but this style I call tenders, and tender they were. Crisp, but delicate, very much like fried clams, and the chicken underneath was tender and very moist. Good stuff with or without the dipping sauce. - Sauces: The honey mustard was smooth, slippery, sweet, and tangy. Very enjoyable. I also liked their Buffalo (more like straight Frank's) and Boom sauce (ranch with seasonings). - Fries: Very solid. Not sure if hand cut, but if they were frozen, they were unusually good. Lots of long pieces, and they tasted potatoey, not like industrial starch. - Coleslaw: Little to no vinegar, predominantly if not entirely mayo, but a thinned-down mayo, so not too heavy. Very crisp thin-cut cabbage, most likely in a mandolin. Enjoyable. Service: Very friendly.
