Parrillada Para Dos Persona
Aaron S.

Miami has an unusual way of hiding outstanding restaurants in unexpected places. One would never expect that such a remote strip mall out in Three Lakes would host a treasure like this. Yet this very convenient to me restaurant checks all the boxes! Food, service, and decor all hit the mark. Whether for a midweek light dinner, a romantic night out, or a meal with friends, DiCrespo has got it going. For me, it is all about the meat but the soups are amazing, both the chicken and the beef. The steaks are perfectly cooked and delicious. The short ribs are awesome. Even the grilled vegetables are a treat. The highlight of the menu for me is the Parrillada Para Una Persona. This is a sampler of several meats and, even though meant for one person, easily is good for two meals. This means I get a wonderful and satisfying dinner of perfectly prepared meats and side dishes and get to take enough home to have for lunch the next day. And the encore is just as good.It includes the best selection of Argentenian meats, Vacio, Costilla, Pollo, Chorizo, and Morcilla. 2 sides as well!!! And here's the best part; on Tuesday night it is half off. Yes that means that you're under $20, you can get a feast like this, making it the best bargain for outstanding food in the area. Pretty awesome if you ask me. And if you're reading this, you did ask me. I like this meal so much that I haven't tried most of the rest of the menu, but I do see very satisfied people eating a variety of dishes. I have never made it to dessert because I have so much leftover from my meal. Theyhave a happy hour which I believe is wine and beer. All around an excellent restaurant and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Five stars all the way.

The food is excellent, the service is good but a little overwhelming.. to many people coming to your table. A excelente point is that you select your wine and you are not overpaying. Another good touch is the live music, i think that the instrumental part is much much better. However the restaurant need more atención to details in organization and service.. to elevate their value.

Parrillada para Dos Personas / Grill for Two People was an excellent choice along with fresh lemonade.

Located in a busy shopping center this secret hideout is worth trying. Just finished lunch and it was spectacular. The salmon croquettes were tasty

Very nice Argentinian place. Authentic Argentinian dishes with some other Latin dishes added. Nice mix. Service is very attentive. Desserts are a must, great Valcárcel. Coffee was also great. I give four stars only because of location. The shopping center is not very inviting.

Such a lovely restaurant! Food was delicious and service was great. If you're in the area, don't miss dining here! Pictured are: Provoleta Di Crespo, Milanesa aLa Napolitana with ensalada rusa and a mixed salad

We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were warmly greeted upon arrival. Champagne…read morewas served as soon as we were seated, and we were also treated to a complimentary baba ghanoush, which was excellent. We started with the bone marrow appetizer, and it was truly outstanding -- incredibly balanced, rich without being overwhelming, and so good we couldn't stop talking about it. We ordered the steak and eggs. The crunchy brioche, earthy mushroom purée, and beautifully sliced steak came together perfectly, and the saltiness of the caviar tied everything together in a really thoughtful way. The picanha was another standout! incredibly tender and full of flavor. We paired it with the broccolini and wagyu fat potatoes, both of which were absolutely delicious. To finish, we shared the ube cheesecake empanada. We were a bit hesitant at first, but it turned out to be the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. The cocktails throughout the night were also excellent. We enjoyed the restaurant so much that we brought friends back later the same week. That visit was just as impressive -- we ordered the tomahawk steak, garden salad, bone marrow (again!), steak and eggs, truffle fries, broccolini, carrots, and tried all of the desserts. Once again, everything was delicious across the board. The only area for improvement would be the service. Everyone was kind and attentive, but at times too quick to clear plates and not proactive enough with the next course. At a restaurant of this caliber, I'd expect the dessert menu to be offered immediately after plates are cleared, rather than needing to track down a server. Overall, the food is exceptional, and we'll absolutely be back.

Overall, we felt that all the food…read morewas good- definitely had areas of improvement, What bridged the rating gap of the experience was the above and beyond service of the general manager Javier, our waiter and the bartenders. We chose the tasting menu at the counter. The execution of the initial dishes in the tastings were well seasoned. But quickly it was clear that given the restaurant was becoming busy and the food service and the drink pairings were not in sync. Part of a tasting experience is being wowed and enjoying the progression of dishes as you would a performance. Javier and our waiter in particular made sure by the end to ensure our experience was smoothed out. One note about the tasting experience is it lacked a certain level of finesse. While the service team did explain the dishes beautifully, it would have been nice for the chef to come out and explain even one of the dishes, especially with a restaurant that has the potential to share a rich background in history about the dishes and flavors. I found that to be particularly surprising that was not the case. In all of the tastings we have participated in (NY, Paris, Miami, Barcelona, Rome, Shanghai...) the chef has always come by even if for a second and it's in those moments that you really get a sense of the passion and the experience of a tasting. After all the origin story is the thread that would have pulled the elements together. It would have elevated this from an average to a more memorable experience. Overall, the food was solid, but regrettably not memorable. There are certainly elements that can benefit from workshopping (timing, chef engagement, consistent execution of dishes) however would be remiss if I didn't shout out Javier and our waiter for their receptiveness and making a positive end to the evening.

Rarely does a spot live up to the hype, not Sunny's. The hype is real. If you are planning a visit, make sure you have reservations. And yes, plan with time. The dining room has an 80's Miami vibe -- antique mirrors with palm tree edges, magic hour light beaming through the windows, playlist on POINT. Ambiance is the best, truly. Now down to the food. Here's what I had and what you should, too: - Parker house rolls (holy canoli) - Caesar salad (best in my life) - Wagyu carpaccio - 8 oz Wagyu (cooked perfectly with a slight smokiness to it) - French fries - Ice cream sandwich (you CANNOT leave without having this) There you have it! We went with the Butcher's Feast, and each cut of steak was absolutely delicious. We also got the Wagyu add-on for a bit of an extra charge, and honestly I would say it is worth it. I loved how you could completely customize each and every bite. All of the steak was soooo flavorful, and all of the vegetables were crunchy and flavorful. One of my favorite parts of the meal was also watching them cook the steak for us right at our table. Just tell them what kind of cook you want on your steak, and they will take care of the rest. As far as the approachability of this restaurant, I found it very welcoming and a really great hospitality team. Having never tried a Michelin Star restaurant before, I was worried I would be out of my element but I felt very comfortable here. They tell you how to make your bites of vegetables and recommend different flavor combinations to try. This is an AMAZING place to come on a special occasion, and the price of the meal reflects the high quality of the aged steak, and the attention to detail on each dish. Highly recommend the Butcher's Feast and a trip to come visit this restaurant.

The wedge salad followed, crisp and refreshing with just the right balance of richness and acidity. For the mains, the experience really elevated. I had the tomahawk steak, and it was outstanding--perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and easily one of the better steaks I've had in Miami. My wife ordered the lobster ravioli, and this dish deserves special mention: it wasn't just ravioli with a hint of lobster--it actually featured generous, large pieces of lobster, which made it feel both indulgent and well worth ordering. The ambiance strikes a great balance between upscale and lively, making it ideal for both a special occasion or an elevated night out in Brickell. I took advantage of their 4 course $60 dinner special (not listed on their website but offered every day, including weekends) and went with the Caesar Salad, 14 oz skirt steak, fries and flan. Each dish was very good, the steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, the fries were crispy and good, and the flan was probably the best I've ever had. I enjoyed a very good glass of Malbec reserve with my meal. La Cabrera also offers a $39 lunch special. Ambiance was charming and the service was also very good. A restaurant that still comes to mind months later is usually doing something right, and this visit confirmed what we loved about our first experience. We made reservations without any issues a couple of days before. The restaurant was clean, bright, and had not filled up yet with the busy Sunday family crowd. Upon being seated, we were provided with the regular menu and the Miami Spice Lunch menu. The Miami Spice Lunch, which has now become a daily Executive Lunch special, is a standout value. The portion sizes and the quality of the Argentinian steaks speak for themselves. As a group, here's what we ordered: Starters - Ham and Cheese Empanadas - Morcilla - Grilled Provolone Each starter delivered exactly what you'd expect from an Argentinian steakhouse. The empanadas were warm and flaky, the morcilla was rich and well seasoned, and the grilled provolone came out bubbling and perfect for sharing amongst our table with the restaurant's complementary bread basket. Entrée: - New York Strip Steak, 12 oz This was the only cut of steak we ordered. It was cooked to each of our desired temperatures and seasoned simply, letting the quality of the beef speak for itself. It is clear why La Cabrera has a reputation as one of Latin America's best restaurants. Sauces on the side, which included a BBQ sauce, and a chimichurri, were left for our choosing and were used for the side dishes more than anything. Sides: - French Fries - Jasmine Rice Both sides complemented the steak well. The fries were crispy and large in size. My father-in-law, a cuban man who's very serious about his rice dishes, thought the jasmine rice was very good. Dessert: - Dulce de Leche Ice Cream with Cone - Dulce de Leche Pancakes The ice cream was smooth and rich, while the pancakes were finished with a sugary powder coating that was impossible to resist. This lunch reinforced why La Cabrera continues to be stand out in a crowded field of steakhouses. Between the consistency, generous portions, and the value of their daily menu specials, it's an easy recommendation whether you're bringing family, hosting someone from out of town, or simply looking for a great lunch in Coconut Grove.
