My husband and I decided to go here because we had been looking for somewhere nice to go nearby a new bar that was opening. When I called to make a reservation, since they aren't on Open Table, the person I spoke to hastily said something and hung up on me. After the fact I realized it sounded like she said something about only speaking English. Now, I know we're in Miami, but this isn't some little mom and pop restaurant. I would normally have just gone somewhere else. Plus, at the very least, if they aren't going to speak English, the least they could do is offer me the option to try to bumble my way through making a reservation in Spanish. Regardless, I specifically wanted to go here only because of the location near the bar we wanted to go to and because we had a very specific amount of time before we would have to pick up our child, so our options were limited. I had my husband, a native Spanish speaker, call and make the reservation. This experience made me take a star off my rating. We had a great time there, otherwise, but I don't feel like I could call and make a reservation if I needed to, so in most cases I would just go someplace else. But as far as the restaurant itself, I was really surprised with how beautiful the ambiance was. The bar area had a fake fireplace but the gold lights added so much warmth. There were roses hanging from the ceiling. It was a restaurant that is casual on the one hand but nice enough that you could dress up and not feel out of place at all. There was live music that started at 8:30 pm, and the setup for that was really nice. The food was great! We were brought soft bread and butter to start, and then we ordered the croquettes. These are always hit or miss for me, but the ones here were really creamy on the inside and had a great flavor. For my meal I had salmon with white rice and maduros. I would highly recommend this. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the leftovers heated up well the next day. My husband had the lobster ravioli which he really liked as well. If not for the issues I had with making a reservation, I would definitely go back here another time when we weren't in such a hurry! read more

This place was just ok. It's really cute on the outside with the florals and the lights, but inside is pretty simple, which is fine. My table of 4 all were given menus, but only one had a flyer with daily lunch specials. After realizing there were specials a couple of us decided to order from the specials. This seemed to upset the waitress I think (maybe because the pricing is better?). One of the items on the specials was a Milanesa, which is what we wanted. She said it was only plain when it was the lunch special; no cheese, ham, or sauce. On the regular menu it's $1 more, but she said we can only get it with the toppings if we orders off the regular menu. Weird, but we still went with it. Unfortunately the plain milanesa was not good, so I don't think the toppings would have helped anyways. I'm glad we paid less at least by going with their "secret" lunch special. We also ordered the lunch entrana (small churrasco). Taste was fine, but the steak size was basically for a child. We also got a parrillada. Nearly everything was really tough or fatty. Even the sausage was hard. Pricing was fine. I definitely would not pay more for what we received. Also, I personally hate when waitstaff brings the card machine over and then watches the tipping process to see what you select. It's awkward and tacky. Unfortunately nothing stood out as great. Again went to Don Domingo. It was amazing. First of all the appetizers are great the sausages and the provolone are amazing provaleta. Love the warm bread great service from the staff manager is very friendly. The food is outrageous. Very good. Toast is crunchy crispy also really good rice really good side dishes that go along perfect with your perfect giant skirt steak which they call. Entran! It's juicy it's amazing and it's plenty 1 pound. Believe me it's gonna be one of the best steaks you've had. They also have a vast menu. I tried the ribeye and it was very delicious. And they also have pasta, which are really good. This is one of my favorite go to places and it's been around for years and it's consistent with its new decor and it's full bar now it's complete.
