    Special #6- Pan con Churrasco
    Natassia M.

I have a tendency to be a creature of habit... when I find something I like I'll eat it over and over again until I'm forced out of my comfort zone and into a new one. This has become my latest go-to spot for lunch. A friend recommended it as a butcher shop (which I have yet to try) and she mentioned they also have great lunch specials. She was spot on! I've fallen in love with their churrasco sandwich special and I haven't been able to stop craving it since. For $7 you'll get a perfectly cooked strip of meat on a freshly baked and toasted baguette with lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise, and papitas (piknik fries). My friends have had the grilled chicken special and the steak special and they both raved about their meals. The service is quick and the food is delicious. You can't beat that! I'll definitely be back soon and maybe I'll venture into their market section and buy some goodies to take home.

Argentinean deli, selling meats to be grilled at home, cuts like: picanha, tita de asado, vacio angus, chorizo, morcilla, bife de chorizo and more!! Reasonably priced, a bit less than usual argentinean place. Ordered a sandwich with meat... meh... after I ordered I noticed they did not ask me how I wanted the meat done???? oh well... the quality of the meat is ok, but I have had better. They get some people in for lunch, a couple of tables in.

Delicious. And the fresh bread cant be beat

Everyone is nice. The boys cook their steaks well, the bread is fresh and the chimichurri is the best ive had. Whats not to love? Going back on the weekend to get my vacio this time.

Half eaten churrasco sandwich, ensalada rusa, morcilla n chimichurri.

First, the bad news: you can't drink the beer n wine they sell with your meal. Boo. Second, parking sucks, BUT, you can park across the street at Wiwi transmissions (if they're closed). Now for the food. Yummmm! I ordered the churrasco con pan, ensalada rusa, & morcilla. The meat was tender n delicious. The morcilla was one of the best I've ever had. Yes it's a blood sausage, so what? Get over it. If u have cash you pay outside. If you don't, the cashier will write up your order, you go inside to pay then you go back outside n get your food. You can either sit outside or take your food inside in the cool market if there's a table available. Service is friendly n pretty fast. They sell jars of homemade dulce de leche, yummy desserts, breads, chocolates, n Quilmes beer which you will have to enjoy it at home. Go check it out!!

I am a sucker for these small mom and pop places , and don Domingo did not disappoint ! From when you come in, the staff goes out of their way to treat you like family . I witnessed a staff being so nice and friendly to an elderly lady, and it automatically won big brownie points. As previously stated in other comments , it' looks like a gas station inside , they have a variety of Argentinian wines to choose from. They have a bakery side , and a meats side. I came for one thing , and that was the Pan con Churrasco. Of course offers with chimichurri and home made hot sauce ( another brownie point) , the steak was absolutely delicious and mouth watering. It was big enough to be full . I can't wait to come back and purchase their meats and desserts !

Best Argentinian ( pan con churrasco ) . The service is amazing and the food delish. They also have 2 restaurants that are great to go with family and enjoy a great Argentinian cousin. The place is a family own restaurant so the owners are always there ( at least someone from the family) so they come always to ask how you are doing and make sure you feel like At home. They have a great variety from pasta, meat, salads and Argentina wine and products that you can buy and take home with you. I would recommend it 100%.

Ended up hanging with a friend who goes to FIU and realized this place was near the campus. The first time I came here (on a Saturday), the outdoor portion is open. Large open flame grills with every type of meat you can imagine are cooking. The line structure is designed for one to walk up to the griller, point at/indicate an order, watch someone package the food behind a wooden table, go inside the shop to complete the payment, and then collect the food from outside using the receipt of payment. A little more complex than what I first expected, but trust me - IT'S WORTH IT! The meat is grilled homestyle and tastes fresh. The second time I visited (on a Wednesday evening), only the cafe portion is open inside. You tell the person/cashier inside what you'd like and they convey the order to a cook inside. The menu is a little scattered, as the pictures hanging on the wall have numbers but aren't titled (and the numbers don't correspond to anything on the take-out menu)... Ended up paying $32 for a parilla para dos. This meat platter far exceeded my expectations. Traditional pork sausage and blood sausage were easily the best items. The chicken was somewhat plain, and the churrasco steak was annoyingly chewy. Definitely consult the spicy chimichurri sauce for necessary flavor corrections. The dish was accompanied by two sides (I opted for mashed potatoes and vegetables), and the amount of meat was beyond enough for 4 people! The cafe also sells a splendid variety of pastries such as cake rolls, empanadas, and more. Didn't get a chance to try it, but the cuban coffee (coladas, cafe con leche, etc.) looked stellar! I wish there was more of a restaurant feel inside (as opposed to an awkwardly located cafe in a grocery shop). Despite the venue's atmospheric challenges, the service is good and the food terrific! Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance/atmosphere : 2/5

This place has the BEST Argentinian bbq you can find in Miami. Churrasco sandwiches, choripanes, and the chicken are all $5 and flat out amazing. It's basically a garage grilling party next to the actual shop only on weekends. Seating is a mission because there are only 3 picnic tables & they are in the parking lot, making parking an even bigger mission. But omg so worth it when you bite into that perfect medium-rare churrasco sandwich.

Coming into the restaurant I was greeted by its interesting setup. It looked more like a mini grocery store with some tables and chairs. My dad and I don't really speak Spanish well but, it wasn't so much an issue since most of their in-house/to-go menu items are order by number. I merely ordered my food by the images hung up on their wall. I found out that I had ordered a vocia with with a side of rice and spiced potatoes, or known as #17. The quality of the meat was excellent. I ordered it medium and it was tender and flavorful. The spicy chimichurri provided an extra kick to the quality cut. Definitely a recommend and totally worth it's price. Next time I'm getting picaña.

Champagne…read morewas served as soon as we were seated, and we were also treated to a complimentary baba ghanoush, which was excellent. We started with the bone marrow appetizer, and it was truly outstanding -- incredibly balanced, rich without being overwhelming, and so good we couldn't stop talking about it. We ordered the steak and eggs. The crunchy brioche, earthy mushroom purée, and beautifully sliced steak came together perfectly, and the saltiness of the caviar tied everything together in a really thoughtful way. The picanha was another standout! incredibly tender and full of flavor. We paired it with the broccolini and wagyu fat potatoes, both of which were absolutely delicious. To finish, we shared the ube cheesecake empanada. We were a bit hesitant at first, but it turned out to be the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. The cocktails throughout the night were also excellent. We enjoyed the restaurant so much that we brought friends back later the same week. That visit was just as impressive -- we ordered the tomahawk steak, garden salad, bone marrow (again!), steak and eggs, truffle fries, broccolini, carrots, and tried all of the desserts. Once again, everything was delicious across the board. The only area for improvement would be the service. Everyone was kind and attentive, but at times too quick to clear plates and not proactive enough with the next course. At a restaurant of this caliber, I'd expect the dessert menu to be offered immediately after plates are cleared, rather than needing to track down a server. Overall, the food is exceptional, and we'll absolutely be back.

Overall, we felt that all the food…read morewas good- definitely had areas of improvement, What bridged the rating gap of the experience was the above and beyond service of the general manager Javier, our waiter and the bartenders. We chose the tasting menu at the counter. The execution of the initial dishes in the tastings were well seasoned. But quickly it was clear that given the restaurant was becoming busy and the food service and the drink pairings were not in sync. Part of a tasting experience is being wowed and enjoying the progression of dishes as you would a performance. Javier and our waiter in particular made sure by the end to ensure our experience was smoothed out. One note about the tasting experience is it lacked a certain level of finesse. While the service team did explain the dishes beautifully, it would have been nice for the chef to come out and explain even one of the dishes, especially with a restaurant that has the potential to share a rich background in history about the dishes and flavors. I found that to be particularly surprising that was not the case. In all of the tastings we have participated in (NY, Paris, Miami, Barcelona, Rome, Shanghai...) the chef has always come by even if for a second and it's in those moments that you really get a sense of the passion and the experience of a tasting. After all the origin story is the thread that would have pulled the elements together. It would have elevated this from an average to a more memorable experience. Overall, the food was solid, but regrettably not memorable. There are certainly elements that can benefit from workshopping (timing, chef engagement, consistent execution of dishes) however would be remiss if I didn't shout out Javier and our waiter for their receptiveness and making a positive end to the evening.

A restaurant that still comes to mind months later is usually doing something right, and this visit confirmed what we loved about our first experience. We made reservations without any issues a couple of days before. The restaurant was clean, bright, and had not filled up yet with the busy Sunday family crowd. Upon being seated, we were provided with the regular menu and the Miami Spice Lunch menu. The Miami Spice Lunch, which has now become a daily Executive Lunch special, is a standout value. The portion sizes and the quality of the Argentinian steaks speak for themselves. As a group, here's what we ordered: Starters - Ham and Cheese Empanadas - Morcilla - Grilled Provolone Each starter delivered exactly what you'd expect from an Argentinian steakhouse. The empanadas were warm and flaky, the morcilla was rich and well seasoned, and the grilled provolone came out bubbling and perfect for sharing amongst our table with the restaurant's complementary bread basket. Entrée: - New York Strip Steak, 12 oz This was the only cut of steak we ordered. It was cooked to each of our desired temperatures and seasoned simply, letting the quality of the beef speak for itself. It is clear why La Cabrera has a reputation as one of Latin America's best restaurants. Sauces on the side, which included a BBQ sauce, and a chimichurri, were left for our choosing and were used for the side dishes more than anything. Sides: - French Fries - Jasmine Rice Both sides complemented the steak well. The fries were crispy and large in size. My father-in-law, a cuban man who's very serious about his rice dishes, thought the jasmine rice was very good. Dessert: - Dulce de Leche Ice Cream with Cone - Dulce de Leche Pancakes The ice cream was smooth and rich, while the pancakes were finished with a sugary powder coating that was impossible to resist. This lunch reinforced why La Cabrera continues to be stand out in a crowded field of steakhouses. Between the consistency, generous portions, and the value of their daily menu specials, it's an easy recommendation whether you're bringing family, hosting someone from out of town, or simply looking for a great lunch in Coconut Grove.
