Cuban bread, box of pastelitos, colada, Cafe con Leche
Barbara S.

My favorite bakery, great service, quick and friendly. Best empanadas and cafe con leche.

Word to Live By - The image shows a wall-mounted sign for Breadman Miami bakery, with large black letters spelling out the business name. A graphic of a chef's hat is positioned to the upper left of the sign. Below the name, the slogan 'Eat Love Bread' is displayed. The sign is mounted on a plain light-colored wall, with visible electrical outlets and fixtures above it.

Very unassuming cuban bakery but boy does it deliver. Was in the area after a concert at FIU and decided to stop by and give it a try based on some good reviews. Parking was pretty simple as the bakery was in a large strip mall. We walked in and fortunate for us there weren't many people but this quickly changed once we ordered. At first glance it seemed like your normal cuban bakery with pastries and croquettas. But once you start checking out their menu and the selection of croquettas you realize "oh wait a minute". They got a ropa vieja quesadilla and a croquetta quesadilla? Is that a corn croquetta and yuca and queso croquetta? Yes to all that and they even had a croquetta cake which may end up being my next birthday cake request. My family and I ended up ordering a bunch of stuff and while we were eating we kept ordering more stuff. I must have ended up going back at least 3 times to order more stuff because it was that good and we kept finding more things as we kept looking around. Staff was great! They brought all our food over and checked on us multiple times. We even questioned whether we got the right croquetta or not and they gave us another one no questions asked. They were super patient and answered all our questions and we had so many because everything looked so good and unique. As for the food, like I said we had so many things. Our highlights for the croquettas were the corn and the yuca and queso. And by no means is this saying the others weren't great because they were but the corn and yuca/queso were on another level good. I had the Guajiro which is essentially a Frita Cubana with tostone and maduros. And if you know me you'll know I hate having to choose so if I can have both then even better. It was also amazing. My only complaint is that I had to literally dislocate my jaw in order to fit it in my mouth. Luckily my Chinese astrological sign is the Snake and it came in handy. It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. We also have the Maduro empanada which we didn't even know until we bit into it that it had chicken and an aioli sauce which was oh so delicious. We ended up taking desserts home because we just didn't have enough room in our stomach but knew we couldn't leave without them. My wife and I are suckers for torrejas (basically cuban French toast) and theirs looked amazing and huge! And you know I wasn't leaving there without grabbing a guava bread pudding. Liquid guava doesn't run through my veins for no reason. Oh and I almost forgot the mamey shake my mother ordered was effing delicious. I mean there really wasn't anything we tried that disappointed. Nothing! Overall we were all really happy and we all agreed we would definitely be coming back again. Because there was still so many things we wanted to try!!

Inside Breadman Miami bakery, two people are standing in front of a wall featuring the bakery's logo, which includes the name 'Breadman Miami' and the slogan 'Eat. Love. Bread.' The woman on the left is wearing a navy blue shirt with a small pink heart, and the man on the right is wearing a dark gray T-shirt. There are tables and chairs in the foreground, and the setting appears to be a casual dining or seating area within the bakery.

Wonderful bakery - clean, simple decorations. The service was patient and sweet, as we had a few questions about a few things, as this was the first time experiencing this type of bakery. Unfortunately, there was a language barrier. Guava & Cheese pastry - flakey, buttery pastry. The guava and cheese were not too sweet. Delicious. El Cubanito: Patty of beef and chorizo, ham, cheese, potato sticks, pickles. The bread of the sandwich was good. It wasn't pressed down like I thought. But all the meats tasted good. The potato sticks were an interesting twist. Good overall sandwich. Cortadito - short shot of expresso. It was a nice little place to just relax. I think they were supposed that we sat there for as long as we did.

Tequeno Guava and Queso - A person is holding a guava pastelito with a flaky, golden-brown crust and pink guava filling, showing the interior. The pastelito is in a white box, with a pastry topped with powdered sugar visible at the bottom of the box. The background includes a car interior with a seat and some personal items.

The food tasted amazing, the desert was good too. When we ordered the staff were really friendly and the music in the location was nice. The place was very clean.

Sandwich Cubano - A cubano sandwich with layers of ham, melted cheese, and mustard inside a toasted bun, cut into two halves. The sandwich is placed on a paper-lined tray, likely at a bakery or cafe specializing in Cuban-style sandwiches and pastries.

Great Cuban sandwiches, and a Mamey smoothie. Very nice casual atmosphere café with freshly baked items like guava pastries, croquetas, empanadas, and lots of sándwiches. You pay at the counter and pick up so there is no service. Very reasonably priced for huge and delicious sandwiches, highly recommended!

This place was small and casual, but everything was delicious! The display of desserts looked mouthwatering. They serve coffee as well as sandwiches. I got the croqueta quesadilla, which I highly recommend. The croquettas are perfectly fried wrapped in cheesy tortilla goodness. The hubbys sandwich was also very tasty. The staff spoke Spanish, but we were able to get our order in without any problems. They brought out our food in less than 10 minutes so nothing to complain about. I'd definitely return here for brunch or lunch to taste more items!

a variety of pastries and pastries - Images depict a bakery interior at Breadman Miami, featuring a display case filled with various pastries, cakes, and baked treats. There are sandwiches with fries, a sign advertising cold brew coffee, and a tray with cookies and a pastry. The bakery offers breakfast and brunch items, including Cuban-style sandwiches and pastries like pastelitos. The setting includes a menu sign, a seating area, and a variety of baked goods available for purchase.

I started with the torrejas, which is like Cuban French toast, only about 99% sugar, or sure seemed like it. I haven't had a sugar high like that for some time, thank you. Plus the Cuban coffee is amazing. Also had the Omelette Sandwich, which had ham, cheese, a fried egg and potato sticks, which I've noticed are in a lot of Cuban food. All surrounded by Cuban bread. I could spend days and days going thru their food selection. Thank god that I don't live near a Breadmans, or I'd plumb up like the Pillsbury dough boy.

Amazing croquetas! Tried the hiuse specialty ones and the tegular ham ones..simply awesome! They were super crispy on the outside, and the filling was seasoned just right. They were super fresh too! We will definitely be back to get more very soon!!

The best breakfast spot on 8th street. All this for $7

The best breakfast spot on 8th street. All this for $7 you get 2 eggs any style with fries or hasbrowns a toast and a small coffee. Delicious and inexpensive. They also have Delicious croquetas my favorite are the hamon de la casa and the corn ones de maiz. Their pastelitos and cakes are also delicious, another favorite you must try is the ropa vieja empanada and the pan con bistec. The Orange juice is all natural and a great price, alot of places they charge alot and it's not even real orange juice. They also have shakes my favorite is the Nutella omg if you want a sweet treat you have to try it. Definitely recommend this place. The staff is so friendly they treat you like family. There's inside seating so you can eat.

Breadman, WTH? $9 for an egg, cheese, and bacon croissant--with no bacon? One tiny egg? This has to be a joke. Do better!

I knew when I saw the 4.3 Yelp rating and hundreds of great reviews, this was the place !! And it…read moresure lived up to its expectations... actually, it surpassed them! The hardest part about dining here was deciding what I wanted to order. I could have ordered the entire menu it looked so good! Helpful tip... check out the menu and know what you're going to order before you get in line. Otherwise you're going to be pressured to order at the front of the line. When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum! The real star of the show for me was this unassuming looking House Club Sandwich that was to die for. Seriously ... it was so good. I ordered mine without the ham, and it was divine! I wish i lived closer. I'm already dreaming of coming back. My son ordered some kind of short rib/beef burrito and it disappeared so quickly I didn't even get to snap a photo. This is a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal, I highly recommend it. One thing I can say is that it's on the pricey side. $113 lunch for 2 added up super fast but it was well worth it. I'll be dreaming of that sandwich til my next visit!

I had been seeing a lot of great reviews about this place, so I was excited to try it, especially…read morethe tacos. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos, and while they tasted ok, the portion size felt pretty small for the price. Overall, it came across as a bit overpriced for what you get. The service style is more casual and self-directed. You order and pay at the register, get a number, and then find your own seat while they bring the food out to you. Water is self-serve, and once you're done with your meal, you just head out. There's minimal interaction with staff, which might appeal to people who prefer a more low-key, independent dining experience or want a place to sit and work without being interrupted. That said, the service did not feel very friendly or welcoming. And personally, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.
