Went to Dr. Limon to celebrate my Mother-In-Laws birthday. This is my second time coming here and I will say, I was not disappointed. We order 4 different plates that we shared between the family. We ordered Jalea Del Mar, Ceviche de camorones, seco de res and tostones de cangrejo. The food was to die for. The family and I will definitely come back to eat some delicious Peruvian food. Highly recommended.

My latest obsessions with Ceviche (Peruvian Style) has taken me to many Peruvian restaurants in South Florida, and one of the best, in my humble opinion, is none other than Dr. Limon, and more specifically, the Kendall location. This restaurant is not that big and it is a bit out of the way, but that hasn't stopped fans to flock into it, but if you go early evening, you can quickly be seated. The greeting person is always nice and very welcoming. The ambiance is casual and that is perfect for me. There's always a lime sitting on the table when you arrive. I always though a small stethoscope on those limes would be so perfect. The first thing that is brought to you is a small shot of Leche de Tigre, which is a perfect start for a Ceviche junkie like me. They have the traditional Ceviche, which is amazing, and if you want a bit more, there are 3 other variations: Fiebre Alta, Anestésico, Fiebre Amarilla. They are all good and I can never make up my mind, so I go round Robin whenever I am there. But if you are hungry, for just a dollar more, you can get a 3-layer Ceviche with all the flavors, and more fish than in some lakes. Aside from Ceviche, you cannot go wrong with Causa Acevichada, Chaufa is always good, and if you are adventurous, anticuchos is amazing. I don't see it on the menu online, but i know i have had it there. The prices are very reasonable, except for Pisco Sours. Just a couple of them and you are paying almost twice as much for Pisco Sours as you do for the meal. Given the amount that is served, how little pisco is in it, and it is mostly foam from egg whites, I find this to be the only thing that is unreasonably priced. But no worries, they have a bar, plenty of beer, including a couple that is their own, and you'll have a great time at Dr. Limon. Can't wait to go back, probably tomorrow night

Ordered takeout for Valentine's Day first of there was no utensils in the bag so I guess they want us to eat with our hands and second of all the tostones were soft and drenched in oil and one of them was about half a tostone the ceviche I always get when I eat there is great has 3 layers but the to go one only has 2 sucks because when I eat in person the food is great

Lomo Saltado

Lomo saltado portion was not the best and was a little salty. Our favorite were the tostones. Service was great and they played good music.

The best Peruvian cousin in the twin. Top notch quality dishes with very fair price. Great place to experience all kind of Persian dishes. Waiter and waitress were very welcoming.

This spot never disappoints. Been coming here for a long time and have yet to have a bad experience. Food and service are great. I don't know why the other Dr. Limón closed by Roasters & Toasters, but as long as we have this one, I'm good. Thanks for running such a great restaurant.

The best Kendall spot when you want sushi, Peruvian and Asian fusion. They have it all.

somewhat weird vibes bc the place was empty except for us but our waiter was pretty attentive. i fell in love with the ceviche, but it was after waiting forever for it to come out... despite the place being empty

Yum yum yum! Went with my dad on a Thursday evening. Not crowded at all. We got to pick our table to sit. Had the ceviche and roll. Delicious! Service was super nice and helpful. The place was clean and super welcoming :)

The service could have been more attentive, and the food was just okay--nothing special. However, I really enjoyed the drinks, and the menu prices were very reasonable. A decent spot if you're looking for affordable drinks in a casual setting.

Food was excellent, as always. The service was a bit slow, but the food quality and taste is always worth it. Love the coconut lemonade and lomo salteado. The ceviche is another dish that is always fresh and tasteful.

Leche De Tigre Crispy corn

With visitors from out of town, we went for Peruvian because they can't find it in their state. Our server, Angela was great--cheerful fun attitude and good energy. We were welcomed with complimentary Leche de Tigre (tigers milk) and crispy corn with house sauce. Being first timers here, she explained everything well. We ordered: Chaufa with Chicken: good, classic. Playa Chucuito: I'm not a fish person but wow. I'm in love with Mahi Mahi now. The quinoa in mushroom pepper sauce was spectacular. So rich and buttery without being overwhelming. My guest said, "it's like comfort food that o never tasted. I would gladly give up Mac and Cheese for this!" Emergencies 911: this salmon dish was an absolute dream. One person agreed: "it's a dream come true that I didn't even know I could dream of." The other said, "I see why it's called emergency: it's so delish it's like you'll die and go straight to heaven." It was a taste of heaven for sure. Sobredosis de chocolate with Lucuma ice cream: Peruvians are known for good chocolate cake and this one was good and rich, but let's talk about that ice cream...Lucuma tastes like something familiar and cozy. "I feel like it's something from my childhood excecpt I've never had Lucuma or even know what it looks like." It's honestly good on its own without the chocolate getting on the way. I am definitely coming back for the Lucuma milkshake! Good dessert for sharing as its very sweet and can leave you overwhelmed. I'll definitely be coming back because the menu items all seem beautiful and delicious!!

Excellent food. Good service. Good value but way too loud. I wish they would play softer music or at the very least reduce the volume.

Over hyped and not authentic. I got the tallarine verde and the pasta was undercooked. Lacked flavor and was no worth the price.

Nothing like enjoying my bday weekend with friends at my fave live jazz bar in this area of Miami!…read moreWe called in on Saturday night and got a nice comfy half booth in the live music room right away. The room is so cool, staff is relaxed, cool and inviting. Tonight Ollie is onstage playing guitar, singing and taking all our favorite requests! We all sing along and have a great night of good food, good music, good drinks and great company of other live music enthusiasts! They have a fresh fish case stocked with great stuff including stone crab--The food is terrific! From my favorite raw bar starters, fish soup, sushi, whole fish, protein bowls, steak/chicken, kids choices, and the like. Menu is huge, something for everyone. The complimentary starter is fish dip and saltines. It Definitely sets the fish house mood! I love the decor--so jazzy, so mardi gras, so eclectic kitsch. It's just a relaxed fun time right on Miller Drive. Feels almost like a speakeasy! Aahhh, Miami--so chock full of these little unsung spots that you must be a local to know the secrets! All the fun is inside here. Check it out, it's all good at the Fish House. Thanks for following me, happy 2026! ~Tami in Miami

Visited this past Friday for Happy Hour. Had not been here in years…read more We have been to the one in Key Largo which is also fantastic. Nice and rustic ambiance, definitely seafood related decor. Welcomed to the table with crackers and seafood dip. I could eat a tub of the dip! Ordered two Margaritas for $6 each which were excellent in regular good size mug. Service was very good team effort. Appetizer was conch fritters, rather small, but tasty with dipping sauce. Lobster bisque on point, can eat a 5 gallon bucket of this easily. My wife had the fried shrimp with parsley potatoes. Tasty and enjoyable. I had the shrimp linguini covered in Parmesan sauce. Ate every bit of it even though I should of taken half home. Definitely recommend going for Happy Hour and save half the cost of dinner menu. Almost forgot Cuban Mojito to finish off the meal. Overall, just as good as the first time we came years ago. Go get yourself some !!!

Bonefish is always a good option for an impromptu lunch or dinner with family and friends,…read moreespecially on Sundays. It's nice to make reservations on their website to skip the long line. Once there, we're greeted with smiles and seated right away. We were served by Monica, who was attentive, knowledgeable and simply pleasant. She quickly brought us our endless bubbles & bloody Mary's and loaf of their delicious rustic, warm bread and spiced olive oil for dipping. What we had: * BFG Tuna Steak & Eggs - Ahi yellowfin tuna steak cooked medium rare, two sunny side up eggs, toast with a side of their mouth watering garlicky mash potatoes. * Chilean Sea Bass - cooked so perfectly, it'll melt in your mouth. So tender, juicy, and flaky. This dish is always a winner in my book! Served with green beans and mash potatoes. * Georges Bank Scallops (no shrimp due to allergies) - ask for double scallops and they are more than happy to oblige. Served with Ceasar salad and mash potatoes. The prices are very reasonable, the service is great, and the food is delicious. The bathrooms on the other hand, could use some attention. They are simi clean and the trash cans are at times overflowing. This is why they don't get the full 5 stars.

We had been to many Bonefish locations in different states and cities, but this was our first visit…read moreat the Kendall location. We came here with our daughter for Valentine's Day. We had a reservation for 5 pm, and it was already busy when we got there. Within an hour it was absolutely packed. They had added more tables to the dining room which made it a bit challenging navigating to the bathroom (especially with a 3-year-old), but everyone was really friendly. The food was incredible. I had a Blackberry Red sangria or two... haha, and it was the perfect mixture of refreshing sweetness and wine. We ordered Bang Bang shrimp as our appetizer as we always do. I think most people have had this but, if not, the slight heat flavor is great combined with the crispiness of the shrimp. Our daughter had popcorn chicken and fries (not pictured), which the server kindly brought out first. Oh and of course the delicious bread. For his meal, my husband had the Lobster Ravioli. The serving size isn't huge, but he liked the flavor. I ordered a special off the Valentine's menu - the Lobster (imperial style) Stuffed Shrimp. It came with a lemony garlic sauce, broccoli, and jasmine rice. Every bite of this meal was so delicious. The lobster shrimp combo was so tasty, and even the broccoli was seasoned and buttered to perfection. For dessert we had the Seasonal Creme Brulee for which the flavor was chocolate. It came with frozen cranberries on top. I have honestly not had a dessert this good in who knows how long. The three of us were enraptured with how good it was. I didn't catch our server's name, but she was so friendly and attentive. She interacted with our 3-year-old so much and so well which is so above and beyond, but it made things go so smoothly for us and our daughter (whom we do not bring a screen for to restaurants), and she entertained all the random things my daughter wanted to tell her. In all we had a great experience, and I'm glad this is where we ended up going for Valentine's Day this year!
