Callos a la gallega (no flavor whatsoever) I have to say that I had them again and they were much better.

So after not coming here for a while I learned that it was sold and changed management... so... I decided to come back and give the new "revamped" place a try. First thing I noticed was that a lot of their regular customers were not there. Menu had changed and prices went up. Which I can understand since everything is more expensive now at days. I ordered one of their menu staples from before, Callos a la Gallega, which they told me now it is even better than before. So I had to try it. What a Disappointment !!! In one word.... TASTELESS. Service is about the same... friendly and the bar counter is usually a good place to have your lunch. I wish I had something more positive to say but it was not a good experience. Maybe in another occasion I could try it again and see if there has been any improvement. The consensus is that the kitchen is not putting out great dishes. Thumbs way down on this one.

People bring your fat wallet and a magnifying glass. Size of portion very tiny!!! Very disappointing

If you think you have had a good pork belly, think again. I am a food enthusiast that have been around the world and needless to say I have tried por belly before. The best one by the hands of the brothers Txapartegi at Alameda, Hondarribia, Spain. I can assured you that this one made by the cooks at El Gallegazo is by far better acomplish. Don't take my word for it, go try it and while you're at it also try the sepia fish. Your eyes will flip

We were in the mood for Spanish tapas and after going to 3 different places (one was closed for remodeling, another was having a private party and the 3rd had the wrong address on Yelp) we stopped at this place. Had always heard good things about it but never tried it. They had a special menu for $11.99 that included a main course 2 sides , dessert and a glass of wine or Sangria. I ordered a sausage in wine appetizer, shrimp in garlic sauce with fries and rice, bread pudding and sangria. The shrimp were large, cooked right and very tasty. My husband ordered lamb shank, rice, fries, sangria and torta De Santiago (almond cake). Everything was delicious. Servers were very attentive and they had live music. Our check was under $40.

Lunch special.. Shrimp in garlic with boiled potatoes & veggies.. Includes a glass of wine & dessert for $11

Came here on a Saturday for lunch. They have a lunch special for about $11 with 10 different selections from seafood to pork to steak. It includes 2 sides, a glass of wine or sangria, and dessert. The service was great but the place was pretty empty when we arrived around 1:30. Around 2:30 when we were leaving the place was filling up. The food was excellent & cooked to order. I ordered shrimp in garlic sauce with boiled potatoes & veggies. Others with me had the baby steak which was more like a HUGE steak with white rice & fries. The other plate we had was pork with shrimp in a savory sauce with white rice & boiled potatoes. I have no complaints about the place, service or food. The decor is very spaniard & they have entertainment at night with flamenco dancers. I will definitely be returning.

The menu contains all types of tapas so we ordered the Galician Octopus and their cod croquettes to start. The octopus was very tender and tasty, while the star of the meal were the croquettes very creamy interior without the strong fish flavor. For the main entree we ordered their black ink paella which included chucks of seafood. The rice unfortunately was very bland to the point we had to add some salt on our own. For dessert we ordered the torta de Santiago which is a sweet almond pie. Very disappointing very hard and it was not as sweet as we would like. The waiters were really nice and always attentive but the food just didn't meet our expectations.

So after a yelp review of the tapas scene, I landed at Bulla Gastrobar in Coral Gables. A slight drive from the downtown area but proved to be so worth it. Once we arrived we were seated immediately and greeted by our beautiful, friendly and knowledgeable server Melody. After she explained the menu and made recommendations, she offered to course our plates out accordingly so it wouldn't arrive all at once. Five stars to Melody for taking great care of us. Now to the food... We started things off with the pan con tomate with Serrano Ham and manchego cheese. Although this is a staple of tapas dining in Spain I had never tried it and was impressed with the depth of flavor and the different notes that it offered. It was excellent and I highly recommend it. Next was the gambas al ajillo which are broiled shrimp in a garlicky pepper butter sauce. These were also excellent, so much so we ordered another batch, Then we tried the Albondigas which were Pork and beef meatballs, with manchego, tomate sauce. These were good but proved to be our least favorite of everything we tried. Next was the datiles rellenos which were bacon wrapped dates with a small salad. These were very good Lastly we ordered the Serrano ham croquettes which came with a wonderful fig jam. These proved to steal the show. Hands down 5 stars! Because it was happy hour until 7pm, I got a Spanish beer (Mahou) and a wonderful glass of Malbec for $6 each. The total bill for all this before tip was $112 which was well worth it for an extraordinary meal with great variety. I highly recommend this restaurant!

La Negri, the singer , a real artist, and the guitarrist, and the cajon player Miguel...I hope I got the names right.. To me it was a delighful evening. I forgot to mention that they transformed the interior beautifully. It does not remind me of what they had there before. The chairs I found a bit lower, but still confortable. Suggestion to the manager: you should sit larger groups away from the stage, because they, most of the time, talk very loudly, and interrupt the wonderful Flamenco experience. If they continue with the show keeping it Flamenco, not mixed with anything else, the service, and the food the way it it, I will make this my regular place to go on weekends. I honestly revommend this place highly. You have got to see Laila at least once. And La Negri. You will not be disappointed

Service was attentive and warm throughout, though there was a fairly long wait between the second course and dessert. To start, the tuna tartare was outstanding, full of flavor and beautifully prepared. My friend's calamari with risotto was excellent as well. The salmon, unfortunately, fell a bit flat and lacked seasoning. The fries, on the other hand, were a highlight crisp, super fresh, and thoroughly delicious. For dessert, I ordered the panna cotta, which in texture and presentation was closer to a mousse than a traditional panna cotta, but honestly, it didn't matter. Whether you call it a panna cotta or a mousse, the flavor was incredible and the texture was lovely, finished with a bright, tangy mango topping that tied it all together.
