I'm not big on crab boils so had not actually been here before. We decided to try it today and glad we did. I started with the gumbo and wow!!! This was full of flavor with a wonderful Anduille sausage and crawfish. The flavor was just very complex and frankly delicious. We both had the soft shell crab fried. Very good, the service was on point. The only odd thing is they have beer and cocktails but no wine and that is usually a killer for my wife.

Been wanting to check this place out for a while now and it also kept popping up on my TikTok FYP. Our server was very sweet and explained the whole menu to us which was nice of him. I will say it seemed a little weird that everything came separately. Ordered some blue crab and clams but they were brought out in separate bags instead of just in one. Also you can only order by the pound while a lot of other places you can order by 1/2. Some boil places bring you the seafood crackers for the claws but we didn't get those. The sauce was also very salty and had huge chunks of garlic while other pieces were minced ,wish there was some consistency there. The corn was also cold (damn near frozen) which was quite a shock to bite into. I think the best parts of the meal were the lemon pepper fries and the rice, though it's pretty hard to mess up rice. Overall seems pretty expensive for something not that great. Wouldn't come back but try it for yourself. Update/edit: we got food poisoning

Oysters
Noodles N.

Oysters were good but tiny and too expensive for the price. Lots of delays and hard to get server's attention even when it's not busy at all. Gumbo and rice was okay. Garlic butter sauce did not come in time for the oysters and only arrived by the time the check came which I never even got to use and was still charged for. What pissed me off the most was the manager just standing there staring at me until I made eye contact to which he finally gave me my check back. What a fucking weirdo. Avoid at all costs.

Sooooo good so flavorful so good! Great value service is funny haha yum great enviroment music playing

Snow Crab Legs

Not too different from the standard crab boil spot. I did a crab boil with snow crab legs, corn and potatoes. Medium hit. Mixed seasoning blend. The boil was yummy and filling.

Ya know i am a huge fan of all seafood boils ... "the boiling crab" is super famous right along side "hot n juicy" whenever i travel, and they always have these two in the city, and i always always go to hot n juicy. Could never bring myself to try this franchise bc Hot N Juicy is my all time FAVEEE...... since visiting Miami, they didnt have a location so i was like "HEY its your time to shine!!" aaannndd... i must say, i made the right decision all those times, but it does feel good to finally see what all the "whole shabang" hype is about. Unfortunately, the sauce did not do it for me. im really not into this plain "cajun" flavor anymore. HOWEVER, what DID it for me big time was their DUNGENESS CRAB... holy moley, you would have never ever guessed it was frozen!!! the crab still had all the mustard and flavors ... mann that crab was soo good. i ate the whole thing by myself!!! i wish i got to take some photos of the inside of it but i was too busy digging in.. also, it doesnt come with any sides, fyi. SERVICE was wonderful. i think for this area, this is a great option for seafood boil, pricing was typical.

This place is the bomb!! Highly recommend!! The food was fantastic and so good! We all loved it even the kids! William welcomed us the minute we walked in was friendly and told us all the great stuff to get! Alexander was an amazing, waiter he was so nice and helped us with our order! The owner and management should be proud of these two employees made our time enjoyable and the food was as well too!

We are travellers. It's a great place to have seafood, place is quiet and clean. Staffs are very welcoming.

Omg.....I'm not from the area and let's just say this restaurant made me feel so comfortable and "at home"...the service from the moment we walked in was AMAZING...very attentive and cheery....Matthew was a star server in my book...but the rest of the team shined...even the manager...I, myself managed restaurants for years and have to say....this place is definitely worth trying!! The flavor on the food really hit the spot...we mixed all 3 flavors in our bag and it was PERFECT!!!

So, let's get into it: I don't know about you, but the one thing I do not enjoy doing is driving and circling around, being lost, just to find an establishment. So, I love that this restaurant is so easy to find with good signage, lots of nearby parking, both street and lots. Anywho, once I parked, the manager Judd was so friendly and kind and directed me to the table where my friend was seated. He overheard that I was kind of speaking loud over the music when I barely had a voice due to losing it from another event, so he kindly turned down the music for us. Once there, service was quick and attentive. I got a Fresh Paloma for my drink and the Seared Salmon for dinner. The drink was a good size and tasted good, no complaints there. As for the dinner, WOW. This was delicious, I would get this again. The flavors were there and the portions were just perfect (not too much and not too little, I usually never get enough or leave with leftovers). Also, not overpriced for Miami in my opinion. Aside from that, I did try some of my friend's off-menu pasta and it was really yummy. Furthermore, they have great weekly specials: (Note, subject to change. Please check Instagram or call for Current Week): Tuesday: Burgers and Bottles, $10 Burgers and Half off Select Bottles of Wine Wednesday: Double Loyalty Points and Fire, Flour & Fizz ($12 Pizzas, $12 Aperol Spritz, $7 Prosecco, 5pm-close) Thursday Ladies Night: Complimentary Bubbly for Ladies 4pm-7pm Sunday: 10am-4pm Bloody Mary Bar Go check it out, I don't think you'll regret it. I will say the sushi roll itself (while not necessarily small) was not all that large/filling, so I would recommend getting something else on the side. I liked that their roll and appetizers had a fun flavor and uniqueness that I haven't seen at other places. But I will say the prices are a little expensive but I guess average for Miami area. I was surprised to find single-use chopsticks over reusable ones. A small detail in an otherwise fairly nice restaurant that did kind of stick out to me. The vibe kind of felt like a mix of a slightly more upscale restaurant, but also kind of minimalist modern if that makes sense? Additionally, our service was a bit slow, with our waiter right over our shoulder asking if we were ready to place our order, no then not being around for the rest of the meal. Maybe it was just an off night though, and the food did come out fairly quickly. Overall I did enjoy my meal here, and I would probably come back eventually when I want something slightly more upscale. But on a day-to-day I would probably go Edward for my sushi fix. Not that the food was bad by any meals. I really enjoyed the fun and different flavor combinations, it's just a little pricy to go to everyday, and in my opinion the main portion sizes don't quite reflect that or have any particular flare to them aside from a colorful/flavorful sauce or topping in them. Recommend a try if you are nearby though to see for yourself.

The side salad wasnt totally fresh (could pass...BYOSalad too), the fries were what you expect, tostones were over pressed but i like them in any format and were a perfect side to the camarones fritos. Something I never thought I would say is that you need to try their cow tongue, I know that may sound strange to many, but as someone who never allowed myself to even dip my toes in anything of the kind, I can confidently tell you this plate expanded my horizons. The golden chicken is not just fit for anyone with a foot-fetish (it comes with the chicken foot plated as an unexpected guest), as the flavors can only be described with the fireworks Remy experiences in Ratatoille. The Mulberry Leaf and Homestead Guava was creative and complemented by cucumber; the Fruit and Cream had luscious poached quince and tonka bean caramel Weaknesses: *The seats are uncomfortable, made of solid wood. Pillows would help *The appetizers and main courses were disappointing. The Snapper Crudo had a nice horseradish sauce, but crackers or something crispy would have helped to break up the textural monotony of soft on soft. The chicken liver mousse, although excellent, was paired with an overly sweet speculaas. The Black Grouper was uninspired, and the Berkshire Pork Collar was marred by excessive fat chunks *The wine lists seemed to pursue the exotic over quality Overall, Recoveco did not qualify as one of the 20 Best New Restaurants in the US in 2025, at least from our perspective.
