Ive come to this restaurant a few times since it's near me. Apparently they changed owners 3 months ago and their prices increased significantly (despite it not being updated on the site). I decided to write a review mainly because of the unreasonable increase in price. Their prices are now prices for 4 or 5 star restaurants in south beach. The ceviche tricolor (basic dish not with corvina) which I used to pay $19, I was charged now $30!!! Insane. And my friend had a mixed ceviche which she used to pay $18 (and online prices still reflect this) was charged $24! Their buy one sushi and get one free sale was eliminated and they charged $20 for a basic fried tempura sushi roll which is expensive as it only had shrimp tempura and avocado inside. $20 you pay for fish and other more expensive protein, not for a shrimp tempura with avocado. I told the server to please let the owner know this and that I will never be returning. read more

Came for dinner one night on whim, and was so surprised how delicious the food was. It's a little Hole in the wall very simple and clean. The steak was cooked to perfection and the ceviche was super fresh. It was so good I came back the next day to being my picky Peruvian mom and we loved it even more. Service was great, all the waitresses were very helpful and were kind and playful with my kids but for sure the star of the show for me was the bavarois. Wanting to eat lomo saltado, we walked in to Ceviche & Grill which is in my neighborhood. Since we were only taking out there was no issue waiting to place our order. The young lady at the counter was very jovial and welcoming. We ordered the lomo saltado and a Ceviche mixto and a cau cau. As we sat at the counter we can see that the restaurant is small but nicely decorated, looks cleans and I think it can accommodate large parties if they combine tables. It is also cozy for couples. After 15 minutes our to go order was ready. The reason I gave this place a 3 is that, for me, and this is my personal opinion, the flavor just was not the same as other Peruvian restaurants I have eaten the same food. Again, I know that all cooks and chefs have different flavorings but the taste of the cau cau and lomo saltado was not to my liking. Don't get me wrong, we ate the food but we knew it was different. I have been Miami/Doral area for two months, and becomes one of the best restaurants in Doral area. I came here for lunch twice and this time we came here for dinner. It was a little late around 8:00 pm. I checked business hours and knew they close at 10:00 pm. We ordered Arroz chaufa con pollo, Jalea Mixta, and something I forgot the name; it is served at hotpot with variety of seafood. It was a bit salty but octopus was very good and tender. As always, foods were excellent and the portion was very generous. We had a few bottles of wine and they have fixed price for all wines, red or white. They are not fancy and expensive wines but it was decent and the price was very reasonable. We really enjoyed the night and realized it was almost 10:00 pm, but the waitress told us to finish our meal regardless of their closing time. We ate until 10:30 pm and we decided to come back to try something else in the menu. read more

We always have a good meal here. The last time we tried the Tricolor Ceviche which included natural lime, rocotto and yellow pepper. Natural lime was done properly and all three was served with canchas and boiled yellow Peruvian corn and red onions. The rocotto was tasty but could have used more pepper in the sauce to give more heat. The yellow pepper sauce was good. For dinner we had Pescado a lo Macho and Chicharone de Pescado. Pescado a lo macho included a really nice portion of fish fillet lightly deep fried served with a nice seafood sauce which included mussels, shrimp, calamari, octopus and scallops(like). The Chicharones of Pescado was great with big chunks of fish lightly breaded served with fried yuca. We always ask for the spicy green sauce( huacatay) and white sauce(tartar). For dessert we had Tres Leche, a nicely soaked cake mad with 3 milks that was sweet but not cloyingly sweet. We had Bavoirois, a nice slice of egg white meringue cake served with a caramel and vanilla sauce: light fluffy creamy sweet dessert. read more

We've eaten here about 6 times every time hoping for the best. We are both from South America and hunting for a great plate. Unfortunately, this place lacks customer service both on the phone in person. I mainly grab the traditional peruvian dish Ají de gallina and mixto ceviche. Both plates have been acceptable but service always lacked so I never reviewed to give them a chance. Today was the last straw because on the phone as always sucked and this time there was a hair in my ceviche. We were driving home from Miami to Naples and felt like something "fresh and healthy". Peruvian seemed to be a good option so we thought we'd give it a try. So glad we did! Our server (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) was so sweet and attentive and gave good recommendations. I had the ceviche mixto which was AWESOME! My mom doesn't eat meat often so she had an order of veggies, salad and white beans; all of which were very fresh and excellent! My dad had the grilled chicken with noodles and that was probably the least favorite of the meals as the noodles were more like a "mac and cheese" type of flavor. They were good, it just wasn't what we expected. Overall, a great choice if you're craving authentic Peruvian seafood; especially the ceviche. We will be back on our next trip to Miami. read more

I went to this place as a recommendation from my sister. The restaurant is nice but I unfortunately stepped on raw chewing gum which started my visit on the wrong foot. My service unfortunately was terrible. The waitress didn't attend to us for a while and only showed up at our table every twenty minutes (the restaurant was NOT busy btw). So we hated that part of our meal. However, the food was good. I had the fried fish sandwich and I was not disappointed. The fish was hot, flaky, flavorful, and had a crispy crust on the outside. The salad I had with it had a nice dressing and my tostone was acceptable but not exceptional. My wife had the ceviche. I can tell you the fish in it is excellent but shrimp lacked flavor. My suspicions were correct! Any empty Peruvian restaurant especially on a weekend is NEVER a good sign. Although the restaurant claims to be Peruvian, I'd bet my right arm that the cook is NOT Peruvian! My Lomo Saltado was not authentic and tasted like a Chinese Pepper Steak. You can tell the cook is not proficient in Peruvian Cuisine because none of the authentic, unique Peruvian flavors were present in the food. The Grilled fish fillet was good, but that's about it. They don't have fresh Chicha which was also disappointing. The service was friendly, but its definitely not authentic Peruvian! I won't return. read more

I went with a group of 14 for a Farewell Luncheon for a co-worker. We called ahead and they had the tables ready for us. We all got something different and everyone was very pleased with their food. I forgot the exact name of what I ordered, but it was beef and white beans in a cilantro sauce with white rice. DELICIOUS! The beef was so tender! A rarity. The house made salsa was soooooooooo good. Several of us ordered extra portions to put on chips and food at our homes. All in all, we found an awesome new lunch spot for our Friday lunches. It also comes with some sweet potato and corn. You can order ceviche with fish only, fish and shrimp, or a mixture of calamari, shrimp, and fish. - The service is fast. I went on a Sunday, and it was relatively empty. I ordered my food at the counter, and it was ready in 10 minutes. - It is a family-owned restaurant, so they try their best to please their customers. The waitress offered us a side of salad or a side of sweet plantains without advising the meal comes without rice.I understand that fries get wet from the sauce but not in two inch deep watery sauce. I had to move my food into a small salad plate. It was terrible the flavor was not there, I had to spit out two pieces of meat that were tough. We ordered a side of rice to complete the meal. The rice tasted like that instant microwaved rice. I wanted to have a good meal hoping this hole in the wall would be a go to spot since it is close to home. I will not be returning, I can see that many others have not neither since there were only two guests in the restaurant. I didn't see anyone come in to pickup food neither. It can't be the foot traffic is bad because there is restaurant Toro Loco about 2 stores away always full. It was disappointing since Peruvian is my favorite.
