    Disgusting is an understatement

I see why this place went from having a food truck parked at miller tires to having their own location to now at doral food shops. This comes from a place of honesty because believe me when I say for a long time I was not only a huge supporter but also a fan of everything Lobsta Trap did and would spend good money every time I ate here on everything from the elite fries w shrimp to lobster rolls and everything in between. I then casually came in for lunch and to my surprise I had this horrible sight when I looked down at my food. Any seafood lover will tell you this is not a good sign and you should get up and run not walk to the nearest exit when encountering something like this. Needless to say I will never be coming back here. You have better luck eating at long John silvers at this point

    TRUFFLE LOBSTA ROLL

Food is still amazing with large portions of seafood, but the location is just dystopian. One touch screen to order your food and then you have to grab it and go because the parking says 15 minutes. And there's a man revolving around putting green stickers in cars. Hope he opens up at the Cocina in wynwood where there far more parking.

    Not what we ordered

I've visited this business in the past a few times when they were a food truck & also at the storefront ; I've never had a problem with the food or service..til today. My husband and i couldn't even find the place at first because it's now located inside a building designed for you to order through a kiosk, pay, & when your order is ready they text you saying to pick it up from a locked door that only unlocks with your corresponding order. I had to go to Instagram to find out the location. There's no real human contact, which is an ok idea if you can rely on the place to get your order correct. We ordered a truffle lobster roll and lobster roll combo; we live about 30 minutes south but had no problem traveling, as we have visited multiple times. Once we got home, we realized that the "truffle roll" was actually the same exact thing as my regular roll. My husband ordered it specifically because of the different type of bread the picture displayed. We're highly dissatisfied, not only because of the incorrect order, but there's no way to even contact the establishment & rectify because the number listed is just an answering service in another language. The food is good, i can't lie, nonetheless it's highly unlikely that we'll be back again.

I used to go to eat in this place in the least 3 times a month... Not anymore!!! Too expensive, low amount of food and bad quality.

I found it while in Miami a day early before a cruise and craving ceviche--one of my favorite cuisines that I first discovered here. The price point was great, parking was free (huge plus), and the service was wonderful. I had a great glass of wine and ordered the ceviche sampler, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Each one had distinct, delicious flavors. I left fully satisfied and very happy. If you're looking for excellent ceviche in Miami, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I'd gladly come back next time I'm in town.

I review this place with mixed feelings…read more The food was great tasting, good portions, and even better pricing. The service was great and attentive - they even remade my iced tea 3 times until I was satisfied. Unfortunately, my luck ran out when I ordered a dish called 'Jalea' which is a breaded and fried mix of different seafood and fish, which for this place was largely just fish with a few calamari and muscles. This is where I think I inadvertently met my enemy - the muscles were breaded too and one of them was completely closed and wouldn't open - I remember telling my friend, fate is telling me to attempt any further to open this muscle because it might not be good. And I left it alone; unfortunately it was a for-telling sign of things to come in my future. Fate definitely warned me, but it was too late by then as it was the last piece of the muscles that I avoided while chowing down on all others. I think they might not have been fully fresh and the breading and seasoning masked their betrayal. That was dinner at 9p, and at 4a I woke up with my stomach telling me is was time play game of thrones, except the throne I was reaching for was the white throne. There I was king of the hill for the next 3-4 days. So as much as I liked the place (ambiance was standard) for taste and value, this unfortunate event overshadowed any possibility of me ever coming back to those lands. May the force be with you when visiting this place: "when you play the game of thrones, you win or you die" and I like my life, for now

Guess we came at a good time cause later we did see more people come in. For starters, the staff here were all so professional and welcoming. Shoutout to MARIA for being the sweetest! Great recommendations from her. I loved the food so much. Mix ceviche -- so refreshing and loved the variety Jalea Bocas house (fried shrimp, fried fish, fried yuca fries) -- a little bit of everything and fried perfectly. Paired with the sauces. Skirt and fettuccine -- cooked as I requested (medium). Packed with flavor. SO FREAKING GOOD. Arroz cremoso de aji Amarillo with lomo saltado -- unique dish that worked so well. Recommend! Spicy margarita -- best drink here. Mezcal mule -- my mom and I didn't really like it because it was too smoky. Maria was kind enough to swap it out for us with another spicy margarita and didn't charge for the mezcal mule. Love the ambiance. They have daily promos on some of their items so be sure to check it out. I highly recommend this spot. 10/10
