Asopado Marinero - seafood soup
Krysthal S.

This soup is loaded with seafood and it is one of the best in town. 109 fish market really has fresh seafood and that is what makes the difference in the quality and flavor of their dishes. I love this place.

Service charge

First not a big fan of music blasting while trying to eat. Also no one spoke English, waitress never came back to the table after dropping off food. Then the icing on the cake was a service charge that According to the waitress the owner puts on the bill for themselves (not even for the wait staff) it's for the owner so they are charging a service charge in order for staff to bring water etc. Sounds a little weird to me. I will not be coming back. Don't like BS fees added to my bill.

Tostones , grilled shrimp, French fries

Great customer service, Sangria is delicious. Seafood is fresh and big portions to share The lobster bisque is amazing , salmon seasoned very well

Excellent pan con minuta and frituras de cobo. The fries were not the best, but overall great experience and glad we found this fish market so close to our house!

Came here to buy some fresh fresh to take home and fry. Red snapper was 7.99 a pound cleaned and all. They have all kinds of seafood and also made to order. $10-16 for fish and 2 sides. It's a mini market with basic grocery items, a little cafeteria that's serves soups, pastelitos and Cuban coffee, alongside the fish market. They have freezers with all types of seafood, beer and wine too! Good costumer service and we plan on returning to eat there. Although there aren't tables they do have bar stools and counter that you can eat on.

I had the best experience at fresh Florida fisheries. This weekend I was set to make tuna ceviche…read morefor a family party and was looking for a place to get fresh tuna at a reasonable price. Enter fresh Florida fisheries I popped in on Saturday morning and was immediately impressed how fresh all of the seafood looked and how organized it was basically you order at the counter. The staff is super knowledgeable and they will prep your fish for you however you like. Then they give you a number for your order when you pay, and then you wait for your number to be called. I knew I was looking for for tuna, and my eyes definitely wandered at the selection of fish! The person who helped me was super friendly, suggested the amount that I should be ordering for the party size and was able to clean the fish for me. I also thought that the price was super reasonable for fresh locally caught tuna it was 2499 a pound I got a little bit under 3 pounds for just around $70 and it was incredible. I will definitely be back to explore more of the seafood options that they have. Fish is something that I love to eat, but don't often buy from a grocery store because I get a little weirded out at the quality. Knowing that this is so close to my house with high-quality fish for a great price will make me a returning customer for sure. Parking is pretty chill and easy in their front lot and I'm sure you can park down the street if it's a really busy day. Will be back.

My first visit here and I sort of wish I'd read the other reviews before I came here. If so, I…read morewould have come at a time where I was hungry and for a mere five dollars had them prepare my meal for me. But that being said, I found it to be a very nice fish market. Now there is a huge downside that you immediately encounter when you arrive. The parking lot is exceptionally small and people are parked every which way, except in the spaces. Getting to the actual building will take some time. The neighboring lots have pretty clear signs that they will tell you if you park there. So you're stuck dealing with what it is. The fish variety is good, although not great. If you're looking for strictly local fish, you'll probably find what you want. Several varieties of snapper and the fish looked wonderful and fresh. Some of my favorites like hogfish and grouper. You can buy the whole fish and they'll fillet it for you or you can buy fillets if they have them of the fish that you want. But the part I missed is having them cook it for me. Now that is something I would like to try next time The downside is they strictly local fish. You won't find any flatfish and I was surprised that they did not have any U4 or U6 shrimp which I like to use to make paella. In addition, I did not see fresh scallops. They did have some nice lobster tails although I did not see other shellfish. Some people have said the prices are reasonable; I found them about 20 to 30% higher than other fish markets I visit. The people here are really nice in the market is attractive. I will be back as I said to get a meal cooked for me in part because it is closer than the fish markets I usually visit and also my curiosity after reading other reviews. I recommend this market if you have the patience to wait for a parking space. If you're looking for the larger shrimp for paella look elsewhere

Oh my goodness RUN, do not walk, to Martinez Distributors. I had been here years ago to find pork…read moreshoulder for a NYE party and completely forgot about it until today. Once again, I was in the market for a pork shoulder and my Tia recommended I go here. Located in the Doral warehouse district this is a no frills spot to get any kind of meat and seafood you desire for a ridiculously good price. Think of it like a Costco but without needing a membership, and with more meat variety when it comes to cuts and sizes. This is a great spot to go to if you're planning a larger party as they have a ton of sausages, things to picar, and meat and seafood to choose from. I picked up tuna steaks for $6.99 (8 oz portion) as well as a 11 lb bonelesss pork shoulder for under $30. I will definitely be back for their assortments of cheeses, arepas, and cured meats (hellooo jamón ibérico). I also noticed they have frozen empanadas and other bakery items that looked perfect for my freezer or party prep. The service is really friendly and I found it to be clean and easy to navigate. There's a parking lot as well as street parking. I'd suggest coming during the week, as I did hear on the weekends it gets crazy. This morning I went before 10 am and I was in and out in 15 min. I will most definitely be back.
