What a find! We were in the area and wanted to have fish for lunch and we found EL PESCAITO! This cozy place is a perfect combination of fresh food, excellent service and casual ambience.... Exactly what we were looking for our family lunch on a Saturday. The menu has so many options to choose for the fish, the type you select and then cooked the way you want too, we had the Fried Cherna, grilled Corvina with Lemon sauce & fried fish bites! The seafood was amazing too and even the sides were outstanding (loved the fried yuca)! And to finish a perfect cortadito! Their prices are good and their portions are big! Totally coming back soon to try more things from the menu (hopefully I'll have space for the dessert next time cause they looked sooooooo good). read more

The service is very good but food is not good at all. We ordered several dishes because we were a big table but nobody came out happy

For me this is Miami's best hidden secret I lived here for 5 years and have been coming back every year for the last 30 years and I never heard about El Pescaito until 3 years ago. It's been a regular stop ever since. Service is top notch and the seafood food is awesome. Love this place one of my favorites. read more

A surprisingly excellent food and ambience on an unassuming location but full of Cuban flavors. Service is great and from appetizers to main course and dessert a place to try if you are in the area. read more

Saw an advertisement online about this restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. Getting there is quite simple. The location is just passed the Burger King, however, you must immediately make a right as soon as the building ends. Parking is behind the establishment. The inside is nice and comfortable. Service is quick and to the point. Menu is ok with prices. I highly recommend the fish bites and the pan con minuta sandwich. The fish soup was not up to par with taste as it lacked the sense of a fish stock. Other people that were there ordered fry fish which looked very well. The waitress were very professional and courteous all the time. read more

Fish sandwich was good. Fish wasn't greasy. It was flavorful. Also had the black beans. They were delicious. Will go back

Great service and the food was also super tasty free appetizer fish on Sundays! would return

100% Recommended. Food is fresh and tasty, service is friendly and prompt and the prices are very reasonable.

What a delightful dining experience we had at this lovely, nautical inspired, comfortable restaurant! Service was gracious and attentive and met our every need. We started off with Tostadas Pan Cubano, Shrimp Tostones Relanos and Fritiras De Cobo. ALL were excellent! We'd be hard pressed not to order the same appetizers again. SO GOOD! Meals were Aaroz con Mariscos Yuca Frita, Hogfish with vegetables and Arroz con withMaduros Fritos. Needless to say, all 4 adults were super pleased and would again order the same delightful entrees served up with a nice chilled Sauv Blanc. Because it was SUNDAY, EACH appetizer, entree and wine were met with a discount! And an appetizer of fish fingers was also complimentary! Don't hesitate to dine at this wonderful restaurant. It may become your favorite! read more

Best fish sandwich in town! Freshly made, generous portion of fried fish with crisp onion and lettuce on fresh Cuban bread. And it's less than $10! read more

Food is horrible. The fish was dry and the beans were pure water and garlic. I wish I could give them less than one star.

So good! We got the Swai with caper sauce &!fried shrimp. We tried the lobster bisque, yummy! Chicken sandwich was good too.

This is a great restaurant it's the best for fish ! El Pescaito, formerly known as Medley Restaurant is a hole in the wall seafood spot in Medley that has been there for years. I'm not sure if they're under new management or why they changed the name but it's been a while since I'd been here for lunch. We stopped in today for an early lunch and had out pick of tables. This no-frills restaurant does give you a free bite before ordering. It was fried fish but I wasn't feeling the texture - too rubbery. We ordered the camarones enchilados and the camarones al ajillo. Both were very good although I felt like the shrimp were smaller than I remembered them being. The portions were still nice and our server said she'd be happy to refill our rice if we wanted more. A good spot if you aren't super finicky with your food and the ambiance of the place. Our server was nice but she didn't give us a menu and was taking phone orders while attending to us which made for a longer lunch than we hoped. Because of the rubbery fish we tried in the beginning, I'd suggest only sticking to their fresh catch of the day which they have posted on the door in the back entrance. read more

Best kept secret in Miami!! (Medley) The food is fresh, ceviche is amazing and the seafood soup is off the chain. I just had swordfish and it was as good as I've ever had. All in a building that you would pass by without a 2nd thought. You won't be disappointed!! read more

Gem of a place right outside of Doral. Place had been in business for 30 years and for a great reason (they rock). Fantastic customer service, super fresh fish and freshly made juice (the lemonade is out of this world). The look is super simple but don't judge a book by its cover. Lastly they have $1.50 beer every Saturday ! read more

This is a little hole in the wall - family oriented , great food and phenomenal service !!

Brought my team for Christmas luncheon, and we loved the experience. Father & son team Julio and Chef Julito put on quite the spread for us. Lunch included fried fish finger appetizers, sangria and a seafood paella that rivals any I have ever had...Looking forward to checking out their second location on the beach; coming soon. read more

I've been here before but this was sold and there is new management. Having said that I ordered the fish soup medium size....its basically a fish broth, although tasty, had almost nothing in it. Being a chef myself, fish soup should have small pieces of fish and rice and maybe carrots and some tarot root. It had almost nothing. I asked for soda crackers and they had none!!!! Hello!!!! What fish house has no soda crackers? Instead they brought me some cold bread. Asked for snapper filet, they had none, even though it's on the menu , instead was offered mahi or salmon. So I asked for fried Swai. My husband asked for Swai fingers and they where overcooked and rubbery. My Swai was perfectly cooked but my French fries where cold. The manager or owner came to our table and told us to add some oil (which I assumed was olive oil) to our bread and instead I discovered that it was just plain either canola or corn oil tasteless! The waitress was very friendly and have no complaints about the service. But the food was not memorable and we won't be going back. The 1 star is for the friendly service. That's all. read more

This place was called Medley Restaurant and Cafe until recently. Check their old yelp page. Cozy dining room packed with Cuban and Old Florida Kitsch that feels surprisingly airy and cozy, in spite of its warehouse complex location. Excellent, fresh seafood dishes are served at blazing speeds, at ridiculously cheap prices. Had the whole fried fish, very good. Coffee is also excellent, and desserts are simple but nicely executed. Highly recommend it. read more

This is my first at this restaurant. I was referred by a friend. However, the restaurant is an industrial area, the building appears to be rundown. The inside of the restaurant looks somewhat clean. I ordered garlic shrimp "al ajillo" with one side (8 shrimps and Moro's), no other extras unless you want to pay an average of $3 dollars more per side. It took 38 minutes from ordering until the food was served. I think this was definitely overpriced and will definitely not be back! read more

For the love of God. I was in the restaurant and another person. It took almost an hour. Some of the worse service I have had. The food was mediocre. I would have expected the time it took to get the food that I would experience a cornucopia of flavors and experience a meal like never before. I will not be returning here. I have been finished eating for over 15 min waiting for the check. Really, really bad s read more

This place was delicious! Total hole in the wall but really tasty and super affordable seafood. The marisco paella was flavorful and delicious. Also had the fish soup and civeche which was amazing. In Brazil we have a saying "eles mandam super bem," which means they always get it all right. And that was what we always say through the whole experience every time. The fish is super fresh and the service is on point. We usually have the same server help us. I just love her explaining the dishes in Spanish. I don't understand a word, but hers are hypnotic and you want to eat anything she says. Also, for a fish place, their pork was pretty phenomenal. Masas de Cerdo Frita, Racions de Dedito, Arros con Pescado, arroz con mariscos are some of my favorites. The only drawback is that they close early. I guess with they overall quality they offer, they can do whatever they want. read more

When you get to the parking lot the place doesn't look very nice. Once you get in, it is very warming. The service was very good and also the owner was very friendly walking around to check on us.
