What a nice experience at Casa Mariano. Everything was delicious, service was nice and attentive, and the place is modern, clean, and beautiful! Food taste and quality was the highlight. For appetizers we tried the ossobuco croquettes, Marcella spring rolls, and French onion soup. All great but the French onion soup was phenomenal! For entrees we got the ribeye, linguine alla vongole, cod fish pil pil, and the Wagyu burger. The cod fish was perfection. The ribeye was also cooked to perfect medium rare temp. The burger was huge and tasty, and the linguine was delicious just the pasta was a little overcooked. For dessert we had the pistachio cheesecake and the balcarce. Both good but I was too full already to enjoy it properly. Definitely a place to come back and try the rest of the menu!
We've been meaning to check out this place for a while. Seemed very cozy from the outside. Cute string lights with both inside and outdoor seating. Modern and intimate interior design. Great for a date night or any type of event. They have a large family room that can be used for hosting birthday parties. Food- we were very pleased by everything we ate. The beef carpaccio was very fresh and flavorful. You can ask for the olive oil on the side like I did in case you don't like it too oily. Our main courses, the ravioli and duck breast were also very delicious. The ravioli came with a cream sauce that appeared perfectly with the semi sweet, shredded beef that filled the ravioli. The duck breast was cooked perfectly, not over seasoned, and came paired with what appear to be a pan fried risotto, which to my surprise was really good. Overall, we enjoyed every item. For drinks, I had a glass of Paso Robles and my partner had a sangria. The sangria is not on the menu, but you can ask them to make it for you. They do not make cocktails or have hard liquor. I've posted the wine menu! Hope this review helps :)
Wow, wow, wow! I've driven by Casa Mariano hundreds of times (my mother lives in Doral) and have always wanted to stop in. Last night, my boyfriend and I invited my mom and sister to dinner, and it was the perfect opportunity to finally visit. From the moment we walked in, the experience was flawless. The host was warm and welcoming, seating us immediately. Our waitress, Alicia, was absolutely lovely; beaming smile, great energy, super attentive, and genuinely helpful. We started with a bottle of Mendoza, Argentina Chardonnay and three appetizers that were as gorgeous on the plate as they were on the palate: * Tenderloin Carpaccio -- Portobello mushrooms, arugula, Parmigiano Reggiano, capers, poached tomatoes, red onions. All the meat eaters at the table raved about it. * Tuna & Stracciatella -- Passion fruit and nori. I'll admit, tuna and cheese sounded unusual, but it was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely perfect. * Butternut Squash Salad -- Arugula, goat cheese, pumpkin seeds, hazelnut-maple vinaigrette. Oh. My. Goodness. This might be one of the most beautiful & best tasting salads I've ever had! The flavor combinations were flawless. For mains: * My sister kept it light with the Signature French Onion Soup and Truffle French Fries (which I sampled. YUM). * My boyfriend and mother both chose the Butterfly Branzino with lemon caper butter sauce and asparagus--crispy skin, moist interior, and a sauce worth mopping up. * I went for the Blackened Salmon with sweet corn risotto, artichokes, and cherry tomatoes. The spice rub was spectacular, with a noticeable hint of star anise, and the risotto tasted like summer in a bowl. Even though we were full, dessert was non-negotiable. We shared the Goat Cheese Flan with passion fruit and honey sauce. Whoa! Flan was super silky & tangy due to the goat cheese. The sauce was amazing & bright & had little pieces of crunchy sour bits! Amazing contrast of textures & flavours. One of my favorite desserts in recent memory. The interior is beautiful, the ambiance spot-on, and the staff outstanding. "Hidden gem" doesn't even begin to describe it. This is fine dining at its best... without the Gables or Brickell price tag. Can't wait to return!
We had planned a wonderful evening, we were two couples getting together after a long hiatus, the restaurant was beautiful, menu looked great what could go wrong? Our friends had been here previously and highly recommended the place. And with an almost 5 star review it was perfect. When I arrived I was surprised it was in a one story commercial building, which proves that when a restaurant is great people find it. The servers were so nice and helpful with the order. We ordered the osso buco croquettes, shared the goat cheese salad, osso buco ravioli that was amazing, pumpkin ravioli that was delicious. Strip steak was ordered well done and was tender and juicy and their famous lasagna. Caesar salad. So what went wrong? We had in the adjacent table, a family with kids out of control. Yes I know kids are kids but these were making so much noise and disruptive we really couldn't have a conversation. My friend was getting a headache. Frankly I thought they were friends of the owners because even after we made a couple of complaints and the manager spoke to that table, they made no real efforts to contain their kids. Coincidentally another couple friend arrived and immediately complained too. After this family paid the bill one of the ladies approached our table and started berating my friend, and a third table. Then left the restaurant shouting at everyone about kids. Wow. I could have done without the show. And if it wasn't raining we would have sat outside. The manager Victor was very gracious and apologetic. And in retrospect not much he could do. The food is definitely worth it and I will give it another try. Beautiful ambiance.
This is a small extremely cute restaurant in an industrial site in North Miami. It's not only food, but art... part Spanish tapas part Mediterranean cuisine...what impressed me most was their Papas Bravas tapa... a master piece fixed with thin layers of potato crowned with tiny cubes of tuna and caviar!!! No way!!! I place some other delicacies that amazed me also like the octopus carpaccio... everything that we order was a cult to alt cuisine... our server an amazing gentleman was extraordinary. I can say enough just try it if you are around...
Absolutely delicious meal! We had the salmon and the sea bass, both were cooked to perfection and accompanied very nicely. The service was warm and polite and the environment, though small, is intimate and tranquil.
Great little gem in Doral! The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a beautiful environment and both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor space has a relaxed vibe, while the inside feels a bit more posh and upscale. The service was attentive throughout. We started with a special appetizer--smoked salmon with capers in a ponzu sauce--and I'm so glad we ordered it. It was incredibly tender and absolutely amazing. For dinner, I had the Butterfly Bronzino and my husband chose the Corvino A Lo Macho. Both excellent seafood dishes. They were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. We ended with dessert, a goat cheese flan with passion fruit and honey sauce--so good and such a unique twist! They also have a great selection of wines to complement the meal. Definitely a spot we'll be returning to when visiting the area.
Excellent place , hidden , a gem, food quality impressive, not expensive Gets crowded for lunch with business people , nice Will be coming back .
Hidden Gem in Doral, thank you Yelp (again) for steering us in the right direction. The food is spectacular! Those morcilla spring rolls is probably one of the most delicious things I've ever had, wow!! Ambiance is chic yet cozy. Seats are roomy. We went with a Pinot Noir but it wasn't the best we've had. Will opt for a Cab next time. Everything on the menu looked good, it was hard to make a decision, lol. Very happy I went with the risotto, it was spectacular. Can't wait to come back!!
Wow wow wow!!!! 10/10 every single meal we had was mouth watering. The lamb chopa, the milanesa, the meat balls everything was chef kiss The wine was really good had to get two bottles Great family birthday dinner experience Our server also gave us great service!
This place was amazing, the food is a mix of Mediterranean, Italian, and Latin. The place is small but totally worth it. The service was 10/10 and the waiters gave great recommendations
Cute place outside of the crazy busy section of doral. The food was eclectic with mostly Italian dishes but I would say it had a heavy Spanish influence. The "spring rolls" were Morcilla which is blood sausage so I'm not sure how to categorize those. lol. We had the Greek appetizer of hummus and tzatziki with 3 fried zucchini chips. That was meh... We also ordered sea bass encrusted with pistachio and cauliflower and mashed potato. Also, the branzino in butter and caper sauce with asparagus. The fish was really fresh and I recommend it The service was very good and they had a wonderful little area for our party of seven that showed up without a reservation. It was very nice
A real GEM in Doral. Worthy of all praise. Beautifully decorated restaurant with professional and attentive staff. Lets talk FOOD..... Appetizer- Bacalao croquetas, grilled and thinly sliced octopus, sweet and savor ribs and the lamb baclava were all perfection! Main - BRANZINO - exquisitely executed! Best I have ever had! Ever! Parmesan risotto was the best side dish. Dessert - Hazelnut tiramisu was lovely however the créeme brûlée crepe was my favorite. Cannot wait to make my next reservation.

After my brother visited Casa Mariano about a year ago and strongly recommended it, we finally made our way there last Friday. The reservation process was easy, when I called to ask about the corkage fee ($25), they answered quickly and directly. Upon arrival, we were seated in the adjacent room since the main dining area was full, but the secondary room was comfortable and quiet, with only one other table in use. Our server was extremely friendly, offered thoughtful recommendations, and gave us plenty of space to enjoy our food and wine. Their wine glasses are excellent, and everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming. We started with the Ossobuco Croquettes, truly some of the best we've ever had. For the main course, we ordered the special of the day: an apple wood short rib braised for eight hours, served with risotto and a Caesar salad. The combination was phenomenal. The short rib was incredibly rich, generously portioned, easily enough for two, and we still took a quarter of it home. To finish, we had a honey ice cream with pear tartar that was absolutely off the charts. We had an incredible experience overall. We also met Williams, one of the chef owners, and we're already planning to bring my CWG (Couple Wine Group) back for a blind tasting paired with their fantastic food. read more
Casa Mariano is a lovely space with fabulous service and tasty dishes. We went for a late lunch and first impression was the dining room was pretty. My only complaint was that the lighting was way too bright but I am guessing for dinner the lighting is more dim and cozy. It is a Mediterranean restaurant so the decor had lots of blues and whites and wood and it all worked. Our server had an emergency and she had to quickly leave but the young man who took over, Wazhun, could not have been kinder. Our food was delicious and nicely prepared. We had the short rib empanadas and they were bursting with a well seasoned and juicy short rib filling. We also ordered the Roasted Cauliflower au gratin and omg was that amazing. Perfectly roasted and tender cauliflower in a creamy, goat cheese sauce but it didn't taste too goat cheesey. The sauce was more creamy with the perfect amount of cheese - amazing. Very delicious. My mom had the lasagna, which had bechamel and bolognese and she was raving about it for days. My sister had the pumpkin ravioli. The raviolis were cooked perfectly and had some crispy prosciutto on top. The delicate sauce was creamy and decadent but not heavy. Naughty but worth every bite. My husband had the lentil and quinoa salad and I never thought I would like those grains together but the lemony dressing and the addition of feta and sun dried tomatoes made a dish that is s very healthy also taste really great. I had the butternut squash salad with salmon and I didn't realize how much I liked it until I stopped to take a sip of my wine and the salad was almost gone. The salmon was a generous portion, cooked perfectly and was on the side. The squash was sweet, sliced into thin rounds and presented almost like carpaccio with arugula and goat cheese on top and the maple dressing tied it all together. We also ordered a delicious, crisp, and earthy bottle of Sicilian wine and finished off our meal with a creamy, hazelnut tiramisu. All in all a fantastic meal and we will be back. read more

Updating My review... just to reinforce what a great experience Casa Mariano is for business meetings. I know the location/area can be deceiving, but i booked my reservation thru Open Table, stated business lunch, and they assigned me the private room with a wonderful TV & AV equipment. Loved the private room, it was perfect for my working lunch meeting, we indulged in delicious pulpo al olivo, pesto burrata, tuna tartate, and for main dish I had the salmon with risotto. We shared a really nice dulce de leche w/strawberry cake.. the servers were attentive & had great recommendations. I need to visit more often! read more

We dined at Casa Mariano for a friends birthday and as a small restaurant, I had unfortunately never heard of it so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Jorge, our server, was incredibly attentive and provided outstanding service on a very busy night. The food was literally to die for. I am still dreaming about the house made rigatoni. We tried the butterfly branzino, duck breast socarrat, patatas bravas, and gnocchi Alla bolognese. Everything was made to perfection, and with so much attention and care. Can't wait to be back. read more

Reservations are a MUST. They WILL turn you away even if the restaurant looks empty; they are most likely fully committed and the reservations take priority. Decor inside is absolutely gorgeous! Absolutely love everything about it and you really do feel like you're having an intimate meal in a house.... which I guess we are! It's Mariano's house! Everything I've ordered has been great. Cooked fresh and well flavored. Beer and Wine only; no cocktails available- FYI Service is paced yet efficient. You don't feel rushed but you're not forgotten. Overall a great little stand-out spot in Doral. read more
Casa Mariano was really delicious. It is located in a small shopping center in Doral. It is not in a place where it can be easily seen from the street, but it is charming and nicely decorated. The restaurant has both inside and outside dining options for those who want the choice on a beautiful Florida night. The menu is not big, but it certainly has great options for every taste. We had the lentil salad as an appetizer, and it was delicious... fresh, and nicely seasoned. The main courses we ordered were linguini vongole and a pistachio bacon crusted corvina. Both incredibly good. The wine list without being big it has great wines at a moderate price. Service was perfect... attentive, but not intrusive. Casa Mariano is definitely a restaurant that can become one of my favorite places for good food and dining experience. Great addition to the Doral dining scene. read more
I had such an amazing experience in this restaurant. I love the ambiance and the service was super quick. I went on lunch time and it wasn't packed. I did make reservations in advance just in case. I had the dates appetizer and it was soooo delicious. For the entree I had the bacon churrasco with a ceaser salad and it was soo good I will have order this again. I had a cappuccino with a hazelnut tiramisu dessert. Everyone was very sweet and cordial but the food was out of this world. I definitely will return. The prices are reasonable as well. read more

From the moment we entered our server Jorge was very welcoming and attentive, even bringing me a hook for my purse (great little detail). We were a group of 5 and had the tuna, lomo saltado empanada, ham croquetas, and provoleta. All of them were delicious, the empanadas was highlight for me. For dinner we had the 48 hr sous vide malta short rib with cacio pepe risotto, famous lasagna and the milenese. All delicious but thr short rib was out of this world. Lastly, the goat cheese flan with passion fruit caramel was absolutely divine. We will be coming back and highly recommend this place. Ambiance, service and food were all amazing. Kudos to the chef! read more

This was my second time at Casa Mariano to celebrate a friend's birthday. The service was really good. We felt taken cared of and not forced to buy anything. Simply great! It's every well decorated inside and bathroom was impeccable. Food once again did not disappoint. We had a few appetizers and entrees and shared. Definitely will go back. The baklava appetizer was my favorite! read more
