Beautiful restaurant!
Jorge G.

Una excelente experiencia en este precioso restaurante que combina menú peruano y japonés! Margarita nuestra camarera nos trató como reyes, hasta le dio un abrazo a mi querida esposa cuando nos despedimos. Gracias a todos por una bella noche. The ambiance was top notch and the service was amazing.

I was craving ceviche for a few days and decided to check this place out. It's a cute little spot and walking distance from my boyfriend's house. It may just be my new go to ceviche joint The staff was extremely friendly and accommodated us in every way. Even though there was a language barrier, our waitress, who was also the owner, did everything possible to get our orders right and made sure we had everything we needed. I didn't know which ceviche I wanted so she asked what I was looking for and gave me the perfect meal. I don't know what it was but it was great! We asked for a hot sauce and I added a bit into ceviche and it was fire! I would totally order it again! My boyfriend got the jalea mix. It was extremely fresh and melted in your mouth. The two sauces on top also complimented it very well! At the end of our visit, the hostess also ran over to the door to make sure we were let out properly We will most definitely be coming back!

The ceviche trilogy was absolutely amazing. We ordered the risotto almelcochado. Fantastic!!

From the outside I was a little bit skeptical about this restaurant; however, once I entered I was pleasantly surprised!! The interior is gorgeous and very well decorated. The service was welcoming and spectacular! Everything was brought out in a timely manner and the waitress was very helpful. The menu has a variety to choose from HOWEVER it definitely needs pictures because the descriptions do not do the dishes justice. The dishes were beautifully presented and for example the sushi appetizer had so much more than what is listed in the menu. Everything ordered was absolutely delicious. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would!!

Menu

Great food, wonderful service and even better ambiance. The pisco sour was really authentic The menu has a lot of different options and I highly recommend this place.

This is our fourth time coming to this restaurant and we can't say enough good things. The food and service is consistently amazing. A must go to in the Kendall area!

I really enjoyed the food here. What I like is that as soon as I came in they greeted me. Seated me. Brought me water and mariquitas (plantain chips) to start out. Most places bring bread, this was a nice change. I had the risotto and chicken. It had a nice kick to it. So if you like spices and cheese, this is definitely going to be something you'll enjoy. You can change out the proteins on this dish as well. The staff was super friendly. The music was relaxing and the area created a nice ambiance for possibly a date night or a nice lunch. I'd definitely come back and order the same thing, or even try something new. The menu choices looked great! The prices seemed on par with most dine in Peruvian restaurants. CHEERS!

Risotto with mixed seafood

What a nice surprise! This place was freaking delicious, portions were generous, and prices were reasonable - best Peruvian in Kendall. We went last night with our family of four after seeing it recently opened in the revamped Crossings shopping center. We eat Peruvian at least every other week and find others nearby to be hit and miss. Was glad to see there were a fair amount of people eating inside. We ordered choros a la chalaca as an app, and a jalea for the table. The jalea was OUTSTANDING. Fresh fried, hot, seasoned well, and seafood was fresh. Was also a mountain. We also had the ceviche mixto with corvina, and a risotto with seafood which were both excellent. We had to waddle out. Will definitely be back. I did find their menu a little hard to read, but who cares. Looks like we have a new Peruvian spot!

We live very close and I wanted to try this Peruvian restaurant for some time. It did not disappoint! Service, food and ambiance were all top notch. We had the teriyaki dinner with salmon and the risotto with lomo saltado. Both were excellent as were the plantain chips and corn nuts that were gratis! Definitely recommend.

Jalea

The food, service (Margarita was just lovely), and atmosphere was perfect for a little hidden gem here in kendall. Highly recommend coming to enjoy great food and relaxed family atmosphere.

It is small, beautiful with open space, and intimate that you will enjoy very much. The music is piped in and is relaxing. They provide excellent service and show pride of ownership. We didn't have reservations but we were welcomed and even received the best seats in the house. Our server was Francisco, who has worked there a long time, was excellent! We chose the Oma Deluxe because we wanted the entire experience. Francisco explained each sushi and what part of the fish we were eating. Each dish was brought out separately. There were about 9 pieces of different cuts of fish. They were delicious! My daughter had Sake and I had Non-alcoholic beer. Both went fine with our meal. Afterwards, we were served dessert. What a great experience! Give it a try when you can. Later, we went upstairs to ASTRA restaurant and bar to further enjoy our evening with beautiful views of Miami. Parking is mostly limited street parking though, so plan ahead. This spot is more about curated tastings, sashimi, nigiri, and handrolls rather than specialty rolls, so don't expect a huge roll menu. We ordered the sashimi assortment, white fish tasting, seared salmon, bluefin tuna tasting, unagi foie gras, and a few handrolls including blue crab and negi toro. Everything tasted super fresh and flavorful, especially the bluefin and unagi foie gras. Portions are on the lighter side though, so we left satisfied but not totally full. Cedrick was awesome and really made the experience better. He knew the menu inside and out and explained everything perfectly. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Wynwood and want quality sushi without the overly trendy vibe.

From the moment we arrived, the ambiance and location created the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. The food truly exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend the Miso Black Cod -- it was phenomenal and had the same rich, buttery texture as Chilean sea bass. Absolutely delicious. The Wagyu Burger was also outstanding -- freshly ground, high quality, and cooked perfectly. We also tried one of their sushi rolls topped with miso and filled with fresh tuna and salmon, and it was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Our server (I didn't catch her name -- an Asian woman, possibly in her 40s) was wonderful and made our experience even more enjoyable with her attentive and warm service. We truly loved this place and are already looking forward to coming back, especially to explore more of their sushi menu. Highly recommend!

They need to be a good sushi place to survive in this area but again like most places in the area charge 20% gratuity. This makes employees feel entitled and lose motivation to give good service. These are subsidies for the company to pay employees. The ambiance is actually good for this area. I would give 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable or if they actually had spectacular food. In any other city this would be decent sushi at half the price.

We got there a bit before our reservation time, and they let us sit in the smaller dining area as we waited for our spots to open up. We all did the $200 tasting and we were all pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the bites. It's 8 courses that range from a nigiri sampler, small bites, and dessert. Most memorable were the clam broth, beef loin and carrots, and the fatty tuna nigiri with caviar on top. The fatty tuna nigiri with caviar was the main reason I wanted the tasting! The hovering over people in this tiny, little whole in the wall restaurant felt overwhelming. I started to lose my patience being that there is so much staff standing around and found myself several times having to pour my own wine bottle. 2nd, I told them it was my son's birthday and nobody went out of their way to make his birthday special! And just a fair warning, you will spend over a $1000 dollars and walk out of there still very hungry! What a disappointment! Furthermore, they price gouge people trying to pass off as if his restaurant is Michelin worthy! An absolute joke! And here's the "best part" when I tried to voice my concerns, I was told to leave! I was very polite and instead of hearing me out, trying to make my experience better, I get told to leave! How disgusting! Please don't come here. The ambiance is terrible, overwhelming, and you will get sick because they have no consideration for cross contamination!

You can access the mall area from the left of the hotel lobby. What impressed me most was the presentation of all the dishes. They really took great care to make everything look beautiful. All the plates and dishes were just so stunning. The other thing that really stood out was the service. They were so friendly and helpful. I truly appreciate when servers know their menu well and are able to make suggestions. I can't remember my server's name, but she was just top-notch. We ordered: - Miso soup, (served in a charming, Japanese chawan mushi cup) the flavor was really good and strong. (I hate it when it's weak) - Spicy dumplings. They tasted homemade. Yummy - Shrimp shu mai, good, tasted as it should - Tanaka roll, with extra crispies on top, (I was not a fan because I did not expect it to be deep-fried. if it had not been deep-fried, I would've liked it.) - Peking duck served in an impressive three tier tower that looks like a round Chinese Temple. - Pork Belly Bao bun, this was also a miss for me because I expected it to taste like barbecue, but it was just really salty like they used a lot of brown salty sauce. All in all, I really enjoyed this restaurant, even though I didn't like those two items. Bec But, because of the excellent service, the atmosphere and the beautiful way they served the food, I decided to leave them a five star review. Those dishes weren't bad they just weren't what I expected. We don't live in the area so if we were to stay in this hotel again, we would definitely dine here again. I'd like to try some of the other items on the menu. You should give this Restaurant a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.

It may not have the best ambiance or the nicest restaurant decor, but the menu does not disappoint. I particularly like eel, so I recommend the unagi. I'm not sure what they add to it, but it is delicious. If you have room for dessert, the fried milk is interesting because it has several different flavors and textures you can combine. The one dish I would not necessarily recommend is the madai crudo, which needed a little more flavor in my opinion. Service is good both at the tables and in the bar area.

The crab cake curry as surprisingly tasty, with the savory salty crab balanced by the creamy slightly spicy curry sauce. The chicken skewers had a nice flavor although could have been a little juicier. All of the nigiris were fresh and flavorful, and they even accidentally brought us another table's order of salmon nigiri which they realized and said it was on the house as an anniversary gift! My favorite dish of the night was the crispy rice with gyutoro - the lightly sesame seasoned rice sesame paired perfectly with the super tender beef and savory slightly nutty salsa macha. It's a shame they only have it on the happy hour menu! To finish the omakase, they brought us a slice of one of their new desserts, a matcha cake which was a little strong on the tart components but had a satisfying strong matcha flavor.
