In March Dibble Moving & Storage Inc. came to move our items from one residence to another. There were 5 movers and I know now through the police that the mover Jason stole $100,000 worth of our items. After adding everything up that they stole from us it totaled $100,000 that we payed for these precious items. This doesn't even include along with that what they owe us for breaking every single piece of our fine china, and 85% of our everyday dishes and very meaningful wedding items. I made this enormous theft discovery 3 days later when I went to use my earPod pros and realized while looking at my find your phone screen under devices they were in Lombard where the company is located, one hour in a half away from us three days after the move. Why were they in Lombard? Simple answer because all of our items had been gone through by the movers and they were stolen by the movers. I know from the Detectives that the mover Jason was heavily involved in this theft. He steals these precious items from people and then sells them on apps like eBay and offer up and takes them to pawn shops. They metaphorically raped us of all our most valuable, memorable, and precious priceless items that can never be replaced. Memories that we will never get back, memories stolen from us, items with great sentimental attachment to them. The police Detectives got involved and went to Lombard and interviewed every one of the movers and Randy Dibble and caught them in lies. They found one mover Jason as guilty as sin and there is nothing that Randy can do to refute any of this. He knows that everything I am stating is true. Randy Dibble also doesn't do background checks on his employees, or doesn't care about his potential customers. I can't call these people human because what they did to us was simply inhumane. I found out that every mover that moved us has a police record. There prints are in These people and this company is human garbage. This case is so far from over and the Detectives are still very much involved in this. I know but I can't say what the police have in store for these guys if we don't get our things back. They said that returning our items is the only thing that is going to save them. If they don't return the stuff they stole from us I would be extremely nervous if I were any of them, especially Jason, because I know his fate and it's not pretty. The only way the Detectives told us that they would show mercy is if we got our things that they stole from us back. If they don't return the items they stole from us that would suck for them, especially Jason, crawling from underneath one rock to another having to hide for the rest of his life. If they don't give us our things back they are going to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The moral of the story is DO NOT USE DIBBLE MOVING & STORAGE!! You would be crazy to! I guarantee you that we are not the first people they have done this to. How else would I know what their police records say about them? The movers all have police records and are felons. Randy clearly doesn't care about his potential customers by allowing these types of people into other peoples homes. It ended up being a two day move with us and because we were in a car accident the next morning and couldn't be at the house when our items were unloaded into our shed where we told them to. Because of that they had all day to go through all our things, picking and choosing what they wanted to keep for themselves of ours. They took anything and everything they wanted of ours. They opened up boxes that we packed and taped ourselves. We found pried open, now broken, Jewlery boxes that were locked. They picked and chose what Jewlery they wanted. Instead of delivering all our things to inside our shed like they were supposed to they instead delivered our items right into their car and back to the moving van and back to their house or the rock they live under and belong under for the rest of their lives. We were personally violated in the worst way by a group of low life's. That is what Dibble Moving and Storage is. It is so worth your time and money to do your homework and hire a proven reputable company. I wouldn't want anybody to go through and still be going through what we are still going through. Our stuff was at the pawn shop the day they were moving us we found out from the Detectives. It was just common practice to these low life movers to steal from people. As the rest of the crew were loading in our stuff for what for some reason they thought they had the right to steal from us, one of the crew was at the pawn shop with our stuff. Horrible movers, broke or damaged most of my items, the owner sent a mini van to move us from Tennessee to Illinois...mind u, we had a 3000sq.ft home fully furnished. We tried to resolve the issue with the owner and he was more concerned with placing blame then resolving the issues. There is more but I just can't relive it. Movers have insurance, however the owner refused to provide the name of the insurance company and would not the men unload the truck until we signed everything. we found out the insurance company and will file a claim, we have to, everything was damaged, unbelievable! Moving is stressful, add an incompetent, dishonest and unprofessional moving company to the mix and the outcome is an unimaginable stressful event like no other. Dibble moved furniture into my house and gouged the hardwood floors, dented walls and their insurance denied the claims. The movers hired also stole a lawnmower which never arrived. other items were stolen. Their workers hired cannot be trusted and must be watched at all times. They wanted a receipt to prove I had the lawnmower, which I no longer had. Never use this awful company. read more

I can tell you that I have used a lot of moving companies. I have moved 4 times in the past 5 years and 10 times overall. Plus I used movers for my mother and son. So 12! Dibble is the best I have ever used. At first I was not comfortable when they arrived. They were over confident and did not listen to my concerns about different furniture. They told me that they have 30 years experience and know what they are doing. Well, they proved themselves to be right! Fast, no damage, professional, below quoted cost. I could not be happier with their service. I have used big and small movers and these guys out performed them all! Way to go Dibble! Also, they moved us out one day and kept our stuff on the truck for two days then moved us in. Very resonable cost and just overall fantastic! I will only use them from now on! Somehow I just found my review unposted in my drafts. I'm going to post now - better late than never! We received extraordinary service from Dibble in October 2016. This was a truly disastrous situation for my family. My wife and I had purchased a new build property that was very delayed in delivery. Our previous place was about to expire. We had an extraordinarily short and somewhat shaky window to actually move. Oh and my wife was 7 months pregnant. Dibble was flexible and understanding in working through our situation. They helped us squeeze in availability and helped us quickly pack for a reasonable fee. When the day came their guys showed up on time and ready to work. Good thing too, because it was probably one of the rainiest, most disgusting days of the season. They did an amazing job moving 3 bedrooms worth of furniture. Aside from a couple scratches (nothing that couldn't be touched up), they left everything in reasonable shape and were super nice during the entire process. I wish all my customer experiences were as you'd a they were with Dibble. I'll use them any time I have to move in the future and recommend them to everyone. read more

My mom made use of their services and it was a HORRIBLE experience! The main mover, Billy, was incredibly disrespectful! Her adjustable bed was not installed correctly and when she asked if it could be correctly he got frustrated and began using profanity. To top things off, one of the other men informed my mother that Billy was under the influence of drugs! If this individual remains with the company, I do not see them lasting for long. read more

I recently used their service for a move & I can say almost everything went smoothly. To start off it was over 90 degrees & I was expecting them to arrive early, they did. I wasn't as prepared as I should have but was able to pack a few boxes while they moved things. Just like the other reviewer they did ask to store their water bottles in my freezer. I'd also made sure I had a Powerade for each mover as well. They worked efficiently as a team. There were just a few hiccups I noticed with my things. They offered to shrink wrap my couch that was going in storage but later I noticed everything but the actual cushions were wrapped. This made no sense to me at all. Also they failed to wrap my leather headboards on my bed. This could have easily been a disaster if they would have scratched a lot. I noticed a few minor scratches but not enough for me to call the company & complain. The reason this company didnt receive 5 stars is because the estimate was way lower than stated. I understand being off a little but over $200 is a bit much. If my description of items was not descriptive enough I could have taken pics of each room being moved. I only thought about this after my move. So, if Dibble is reading this, it might be a great idea to incorporate a visual inventory that could be emailed prior to your quote. I almost subtracted the amount from the drivers tip. Would I use them again? Only if they sent someone out to do a real inventory or use my suggestion of email. The inaccurate estimate is a deal breaker for me. Last but not least the movers were not too persistent on moving items that don't fit perfectly through the door & presents a challenge. We had to do a lot of coaching to get my treadmill to the basement. Unfortunately this reflected in their tip as well. My boyfriend was paying the tip & he usually tips movers at least $50 a piece but not this time around. read more

I used Dibble Moving about a year ago, and was very pleased with their work. Due to several snafus involving the timing of closing on our new house, our moving plans got all messed up. We had hired another company but they were unable to accommodate the change in our schedule. Cue a lot of frantic calling around, and Dibble was able to fit us in for a next-day move. Hooray! The crew of three men were very nice, efficient, and professional. They didn't laugh at our haphazard packing method, and even gave us helpful hints for the next time we used a moving company. (For all of our past moves, my husband and I did it all ourselves. Turns out that orchestrating your own move -- aka Shove Everything In Boxes No Matter What Size the Box Is -- is way different for preparing to have someone jam all of your stuff in a truck, and for having to pay them for their time.) Only one item was damaged in the move, and it was a cheap CD stand that I just glued back together, and the guys were pretty apologetic about it. They even managed to hoist our couch into our apartment via the balcony once they realized it wasn't going to fit in the door. (No, I have no idea how we're getting rid of the couch once we decide on a new one.) The only downside was the price -- they were the most expensive of the companies we looked at -- but for being able to fit us in with less than 24 hours notice, I'm not going to complain too much. read more

Unprofessional and careless. They do not stand behind their work. We hired Dibble to do a local move, within DG. We bought $4K in additional insurance to cover any potential damage and I pointed out two specific antique pieces to the movers and suggested that they take care. Both pieces were damaged during the move (one significantly) and we had significant issues and expense trying to get resolution. The movers destroyed a 100-year old family heirloom oak table, damaged an antique pine hutch, and broke a custom-framed picture. When I contacted Dibble with an inventory of the damage, they said that they would contact their wood guy to handle the repairs. Given the extent of the damage, the importance of the piece and the lack of care that they took with my stuff in the first place, I informed them that it was my preference to source the vendor that would handle the antique repairs, and respectfully asked that they cover the expense. I put the work out for bid to a vendor I have used in the past, sent them the pictures attached, and received a quote for approximately $2k (depending on the level of damage). At that point, Dibble said that the amount estimated to fix the table exceeded the deductible on their insurance, and that I would have to file an independent claim with a separate company. Considering the fact that I paid for $4k in supplemental insurance, I was confused why I now had to file a separate claim with a separate company. I respectfully asked Dibble to please take care of the damage that they caused to the property, and even offered to stay out of the process (they could negotiate directly with my vendor). Randy said since it exceeded his deductible, that he has referred it to his insurance company, that they would be contacting me directly to handle the claim, and that he was now "out of the process." Again, I expressed that my strong preference is to deal directly with them...since they broke the table...and to not have to deal with another third party. He declined to assist. After a long, protracted back-and-forth with the insurance company, where I had to schedule an estimator to come out, take days from work, field multiple phone calls and emails, they offered a check for $765 to fix the table. Considering the only quote I had was for more than double that amount, I reached out to Dibble to, again, help resolve the issue and get the table repaired to our satisfaction. Dibble refused to answer my calls and informed me via email that the insurance company would be handling it. The insurance company sent a check and letter and said that they consider the manner closed. At this point, I was forced to engage an attorney to help bring resolution to the issue. I contacted two additional furniture restoration companies to validate my original quote and scheduled an on-site inspection by Dibble's own preferred vendor. The lowest quote received was $1,100 by the preferred vendor (still well in excess of what was received by the insurance company). After 3+ months of standing to eat our meals, countless phone calls and emails to attempt to resolve the issue with no success, we had the table fixed at our own expense. We have been unsuccessful in attempting to collect the difference between the inadequate insurance settlement ($765) and the out-of-pocket expense to fix the table ($1,100). Dibble has refused to answer calls or emails and has failed to respond to my attorney. Buyers beware. Separately,he team that Dibble sent to handle the move was extremely loud and crude. They were frequently vulgar, sometimes in front of my young children, smoking and throwing their butts in my landscaping by my front door. Before any of the above issues with the table transpired, I would not have been able to recommend them based on their level of service. read more

We used Dibble to make a move from Westchester to Lombard. The quote process was fairly simple and our move consisted of their holding our items for one night since we closed on our "sale" before we closed on our "buy." The move went pretty smooth with 3-5 guys moving our stuff into the truck within about 5 hours. Unfortunately, we could not be at our new house when they moved in due to a death in the family so I had a family member standby to make sure that the move went smooth. Unfortunately, while re-assembling the bed in our master bedroom, they broke both side rails on our bed. Although Dibble paid "Associated Claims" to repair the bed, it meant that we were without our bed for the first 3 weeks in our new house which is understandably disappointing. The price matched the quote pretty well, just a little bit over what we had anticipated. So, moral of the story, they're movers. They move stuff and occasionally accidents happen that result in damage to your property. It was disappointing that it happened to a piece of furniture that we use everyday but they made it right, even if it took three weeks between the mover and the "fixer." read more

We had a lot of fragile things and there was not one item damaged. The guys were extremely careful and had a very positive attitude, even with some challenging items. Have used Dibble twice and very satisfied with both crews. The are honest and dependable and work hard to get you moved and settled in as quick as possible. With our second time using them it was a 90 degree humid day and they still hustled and worked diligently while make sure are stuff was cared for all the while. They were also under budget the first time and right on budget the second time. It was also refreshing to see how much these guys all enjoy working with each other. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I contracted Dibble Moving to both pack my things and move them. The packing went fairly smoothly, but it is NOT the professional experience I had in mind. The moving is where everything went wrong. 1. They showed up in the morning while one worker descended from the truck yelling "I need some good drugs for this job!" In front of my 11, 10 and 8 year old sons. 2. As they began moving things, they would knock into a wall with furniture, or nick the ceiling and had the nerve to shout out, in front of me, "Don't worry about it, it's a tear-down!" Absolutely no respect for me, my home or my possessions. 3. I had a large gun safe that I wanted moved into my basement, but they complained about it so much and asked if they could just put it in the garage, that I gave in. I wish I hadn't. 4. From the first moment of the day, til the end, the foreman kept saying "You're going to take care of us at the end of the day, right? We'll finish early and save you some money, and you can use the savings to help us out, right?" He said this at least 6-10 times. 5. They dragged my mattress through the garden and it literally has mulch on the bottom of it as they left it on the bed. 6. They left my dining room rug at the old house, so in order for them to be able to put the dining room table down, I went back to the old house with my sons and got the 8x10 wool, heavy, rug in my car and put it down for them. However, they never put the dining room table on it, instead they LEFT THE DINING ROOM TABLE IN MY FAMILY ROOM. 7. I think the job was bigger than they had anticipated and just gave up around 4:30. The foreman assured me they were done with everything, sat down with me at the new house and had me initial the paperwork. He mentioned, again, that he hoped I;d "take care of them" and I told him my tip about ($250 for 4 men) and he said "well, I supposed, but that's a little below average." 8. As I was unpacking, I seemed to be missing some major things. A few days later, I went back to the old house to find they simply had not moved 4 TV's, 2 large boxes in the basement, NONE OF MY HANGING CLOTHES AND I PAID FOR WARDROBE BOXES, a large trunk, a 9x12 rug, a freezer from the basement, and NOTHING at all from my shed outside, which was full (generator, storage boxes, Holiday decorations, ladders, wire racks, outdoor furniture, in other words, a significant amount. 9. I called Randy Dibble the next day to let him know how much was left at my house and he said "all due respect, that's you're fault, you signed off on it." I was never offered the chance to go back to the old house to make sure all was done. Yes, I took them at their word that all was accomplished and moved. I'm a single mom, so I was toting kids back and forth to school all day, so I could not supervise as well as I would have liked, and I could only be at one place at a time. A fact these people exploited and took advantage of. I trusted them to do their jobs and I shouldn't have. However, Randy offered, "in good faith" to come back on Monday and finish the job. I did not want these people back in my home, and hired another moving company to finish the job Dibble couldn't seem to do. 10. As I am unpacking, there are boxes mislabeled, and in the wrong places. One box was labeled, "kitchen", yet it was in the office, but contained objects from my son's room. In all fairness, there were 2 boys on the team that were very kind, respectful and did a good job. They had to do as their foreman told them, so I don't blame them. I wish I remembered at least their names so they would not be lumped in with the incompetent ones. This is not a trustworthy, honorable, or even honest company. Do NOT use Dibble Movers. I never write negative reviews, but if I can prevent someone from having an experience like this one, I have to try. I also ended up paying $200 over what they quoted me. read more

We used Dibble Moving and Storage for part of our move to Florida 4 years ago and recently for the Chicago portion of our move back from Tampa, Florida. We are really pleased with this company and we will be using them again for our next move. Our move-in was reasonably complicated because we had two semi-trailers containing a combination of 36 linear feet, packed floor to ceiling, dropped at my wife's mother's house in Woodridge, where most of our furniture and boxes were put in basement storage, one bedroom's furniture moved in to the main level and some items put in the garage. The remaining furniture, including one bedroom, family room, laundry room, garage items and a number of boxes were moved to another residence in Downers Grove. The crew of five guys arrived on time, got right to work and were very efficient. The -2 degree weather and several inches of snow on the ground didn't faze these guys at all. They were very polite and good natured. Due to the multiple locations it was pretty complicated; items were going in every direction. They transferred stuff as needed from the semi-trailers to their own moving trucks. Once the crew arrived at the final residence, they first covered the carpet and hard wood floors and went right to work unloading their trucks. They took great care with our furniture and household items, some oversized and some very heavy. This is a split level home, so there were four levels to put our things and the stairs were tight. When our refrigerator would not fit down the basement stairs, they quickly removed the doors, moved it downstairs and reinstalled the doors. They actually finished the 6 hour move in 5 1/2 hours, saving us some money. We had a small issue with a few items being put in storage instead of the residence, so I brought it to the attention of Randy Dibble, who rectified the issue immediately and to our full satisfaction. read more

This was our second move in 3 years using Dibble. We are now 80/78 and they made it easy for us. They were on time, well-staffed, quick and careful, and very accommodating packing and loading at old address and unloading and putting us back together at our destination. The cost was reasonable and the estimate was pretty accurate. We came in on time and under budget. My parents (who are over 60 & don't write online reviews) had a terrible experience with Dibble. They scratched and nicked just about every piece of wood furniture, broke several small items, and broke a large computer cabinet beyond repair, and even broke a leg on their piano and TRIED TO GLUE IT BACK TOGETHER WITHOUT TELLING THEM! The insurance claim for the damage took months, during which they had to keep the broken cabinet for proof. The movers also scratched a wall by leaning a metal bed frame against it, and the team leader of the movers was very rude and dismissive towards my mother, walking away, etc. Not a good way to treat people. One mover was clearly an alcoholic, too. read more

This company is excellent. I had a move from Naperville to Chicago and they managed it in right around 3 hours, no damage, no problems. The guys showed up right on time, were easy to talk to, and worked really hard. In the end, they came in about $200 less than I anticipated. Very efficient. I looked at some other moving companies first, the bigger national ones. After vetting their reviews and BBB ratings, it was pretty sobering to see how awful some of them are. Broken stuff, guys not even showing up, tremendous cost, etc. Some of them were racking up nearly a complaint a day by the BBB. I've used Dibble for two moves in Chicago now, and couldn't be happier. Whenever I move again (lord let that not be for two years) I'll definitely call them first. I used Dibble in July 2011 for a move from the South Loop to Uptown. I had a lot of stuff. I mean A LOT. I had stashed all my belongings in my post-divorce move into a storage unit, and then had stuff at the friend's home I was crashing with. The guys handled the two place pick up & loading with no problems, though there was definitely some friendly ribbing about how many boxes of books one girl needs. They loaded the truck as quickly as the elevators would allow. They then unloaded into my 2nd floor walk-up equally fast. The most they asked for was to stashed their water jugs in the fridge while they unloaded, as it was a fairly hot day. The guys were polite, friendly, quick, and careful. The only breakages were a cheap glass I didn't wrap well enough, and a cracked Sterilite (plastic tub) container that I packed too heavy. No hidden fees. Everything done as asked. It was a long move (most of the day, minus a lunch break). We paid cash. Not sure about the scheduling ease, my friend handled that since I was recovering from an illness. They definitely showed up when they said, and sent confirmation via email. I used Dibble again in November 2012 for a much smaller move. It was small enough I pondered doing it myself, but with a bum knee, I decided I'd rather pay for help. I called on a Monday to confirm my move, and was able to get scheduled for a Friday (the 2nd). I asked for a morning move, and the smallest truck possible since I had stuff in my basement, which was only accessible from our alley (a tight fit for a larger truck). Calling to schedule was a breeze. My original quote was in email from a form on their website. There was no change in estimate from the email to the phone conversation/booking confirmation. On the day before my move, they confirmed that I would have my requested morning move. The morning of my move, they were only 15 minutes after the time window (morning traffic), and had the small truck I requested. I showed them what to move, and then left them to their own devices while I procured caffeine & breakfast down the block. They quickly packed the truck, grabbed my things from the basement, and even helped pack up the odds & ends & cleaning supplies in my I-Go car. Unpacking the truck was quick and efficient, even though they had to wait 15 minutes on me while I double backed to my old place for my wallet (oops). Nothing broken, except one corner of a lid on a Sterilite container. They estimated 3.5-4 hours in my quote, only took 2.5 hours. I charged the move, and tipped in cash. Again, the guys were polite, friendly, never asked for anything (though of course I provided bottled water). Dibble's pricing is straightforward: Flat fee charge for them traveling to and from their office to your location(s). Flat rate per hour for 3 movers. Minimum of 2 hours. Billed in 15 minute increments after that. If they have to tape & wrap stuff, $5-$10 in supplies. No charge for blankets, wardrobes, etc, as they take it back when they're done. Scheduling preference is given to people who need to reserve elevators, so as to avoid customers losing elevators a/o getting charged fees. (Very nice.) Cash or charge. If you don't want to give the head mover your credit card, you can call your card information in to the office girls ahead of time (which is what I did), and when your move is complete, he'll call the office w/ the time, and then give you the authorization code on your receipt. No hidden fees or surprise charges. If you are able to provide them with an accurate estimate of how much stuff you're moving, they can provide an accurate estimate of how long it'll take. Hopefully I'm not moving again until I buy. In which case, I look forward to using Dibble again. read more

If you use this service -- BUY INSURANCE! Be sure to opt for it if offered and ask for it if not. I used Dibble for a move in 2013. When the fellas showed up, there were three of them so I thought that the move would go quick. They started off well, even though 2 of them were injured. Movers are a tough breed of people as they deal with banging fingers, arms etc. so I knew they would be able to handle the small amount of things that I had. When moving my couch from the second floor, I mentioned to the movers that the team that delivered the couch had pushed it up and over the railing to the second floor landing. No fuss, no muss. So the fellas discussed it and tried that method. They dropped the couch onto the railing and broke the arm of the couch. "No Sweat!" I thought. "It's only material, personal property!" I thought! Then the accusations started. The mover alleged that I "forced" them to drop the couch over the railing as to using the stairs. Untrue. I called the office and they seemed to be supportive and said they would make an assessment of the damage and determine the course of action. The reason for the two stars on this review is that the owners of the company did repair the couch at their expense as when I was quoted, I wasn't offered insurance. The removal of the remainder of the stars was the customer service after the breaking of the couch and the subsequent repairs. I was told they would reach out to me. Never once did they call in MONTH it took to repair the couch (I had to go out and buy a new one as a temporary so I had SOMETHING to sit on in my new apartment). I had to call them for status updates and it was always "It's underway, we'll call you." Once the couch was finally repaired, I had the couch delivered to my place. The repair work was shotty at best and the two gents that brought the couch thought that they had left some of the cushions at the warehouse. There were three wrapped in with the couch and they had the audacity to ask if they could deliver the remainder the Monday after as the office was closed! I called the office yet again and asked if I could just come and get the cushions and was told by the owner (or manager, can't quite recall) that the office was closed and he was on his way home. I'd have to wait until Monday as they repaired the couch in "good faith." This is where they lost the other star. I was willing to drive to THEIR warehouse to rectify THEIR error and got no support whatsoever. Luckily, the movers found the remaining cushions in a box on the truck. The lack of concern for the customer from the owner and/or manager was astounding. If you're still tempted to use the service, please heed my warning to purchase insurance to avoid the "good faith" repairs as my experience was a nightmare. read more

I used the company a few years ago for a move from Naperville to Chicago. Overall I was extremely disappointed in the service. The quote I was initially given was 40% less than the actual bill when everything was said and done. (Not sure why they even bother coming out to do a survey). Wardrobe boxes were all really old & falling apart; one even had an empty cigarette pack in the bottom. When we drove to Chicago, I arrived 45 minutes before them. They claimed it was traffic, which I had trouble believing. When I reported my issues after the move, no one seemed to care. For obvious reasons, I will not use this service again in the future. read more

I also used Dibble about a year ago to move and had a great experience so it only made sense to use them again. This was a whole different experience though. Both times Dibble sent three guys. The first time, before they even started, they pressed for a tip which I was shrouded by but since the crew did a good job, I gave in. The second time, I had to pay for three guys, though one apparently had a cat allergy and sat in the truck the whole time. One of the other guys was not very strong and had a very difficult time helping the other guy and ended up cutting his thumb and bleeding on my mattress and TV. He also failing to wrap in a blanket some of my wood furniture and scratched it badly. When I complained to Dibble, they offered to try and repair the scratch but would not offer any discount. Will not be using them again and would caution anyone else about it. Don't feel bad to speak up during the move as they seem to like to take shortcuts like not protecting your hardwood floors. If you are unhappy with the way the move is going, don't let them continue, you will be sorry. read more

I used Dibble Moving about seven years ago, and was very satisfied with their services. When my parents needed to move out of their home of 60 years, I called Dibble and they accommodated me in ONE DAY! The crew arrived on time, and moved everything that my parents could use or need to their retirement apartment. No incidents, no damage, and reasonable rate. We decided that the remaining furniture would be going to a relative, so we called them back and they returned a day later. Same good results, very professional and so polite! They have low prices, but when they leave a full walk-in closet of clothes hanging I see why. Moving out of a two bedroom apartment. I ordered three wardrobe boxes for my clothes and they only used one. I spoke to the driver explaining there's still my only closet of clothes left in the apartment, he stated they used all three boxes. I called the company and their answer is we can drive back for the clothes after we unpack. Sure let me pay another 150 an hr. That wasn't a solution! When they unloaded the truck of course there wasn't three wardrobe boxes, just one. When I mentioned it to the driver, he stated I would've needed seven wardrobe boxes. Two more still would've been better then one. When I called the company again, their response was they used the boxes for other things during the move. Which I have photos that it's not true. At the end of the day communication was terrible, they didn't do anything to resolve the complaint or even apologize for it. I would never use this company again or recommend them. read more

I began searching for movers a couple of months before our big move, and began getting quotes about a month out. I contacted a total of 10 companies in the area. From everyone that I had requested quotes from, Dibble had the highest review ratings (you really do need to actually READ the ratings for all of these companies, folks, to weed out the fake or ridiculous reviews that some people post. Don't just pay attention to the number of stars each company has - Just saying...), most responsive and friendly office staff contact, combined with the most competitive pricing for what we were looking to accomplish. Not a super complex move, but we did have two pick up locations, as well as one drop off location. On my first contact, I had reached Michelle via email - my preferred method of contact. I appreciate that Michelle was comfortable communicating with me via email for the majority of the contact that we had, but also that when necessary, she reached out via phone as well. I did everything from quoting to scheduling with Michelle, who is knowledgeable and very nice to deal with. She also called to confirm our move the day before, as promised. Late in the night, the day before our move, I had emailed Michelle to let her know that we had a few additional items to add to our move. Understanding that this was obviously a last minute request on MY part, and not necessarily something that they would be able to accommodate, I wanted to give her a heads up, and also see if it was possible for Dibble to move these things for us. She called me when she got in the office in the morning, told me that the additional items were no issue at all, and even offered an extra crew member to assist in our move (to shorten the move time), which I appreciate. Our three crew members, Brian, Loddy, and Freddy arrived on time and ready to go! I'm telling you, these three HAULED A$$, carefully at that. They made sure to apply floor protection where needed, and moved everything carefully. We had literally no damage to anything - walls, floors, or items. They also moved two insanely heavy dressers down a narrow 8 step stairway in my old house and up 17 steep stairs with no landing and a sharp turn at the top in our new home (again - NO DAMAGE). I was thoroughly impressed with their work ethic (there wasn't a moment of rest for any of them), and ability to move all items with no issues, and no complaints. Brian, Loddy, and Freddy moved every item in a way that made it look feather light... Which I know for a fact they weren't... We packed them after all.. lol The guys were also very polite, and willing to joke around with my fiance and I. I would definitely not hesitate to recommend Dibble to family, friends, or strangers. Our experience was exceptional - Dibble made our move FLAWLESS, and with the stresses of searching for, buying, fixing up, and moving into a new home, that flawless move was soooooo very appreciated. I called Dibble movers a month before I needed to move. They came out the next day to do a quote and it was the best one I received. Three movers for $100 an hour? Can't beat that! They were great about staying in touch with me before the move. On moving day they were actually EARLY! The guys that moved our home were courteous, funny and really careful with our stuff. The best part was watching how well they worked together and communicated with eachother about how to move our bigger items. They were completely professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Dibble was great! They came out to do a quote, which was very close to what it cost when all was said and done. The movers showed up on time and ready to work. Here is the most remarkable thing about the move... We have a dining room cabinet that I had forgotten to completely empty on the lower shelves. I left a turkey platter, gravy boat, chip and dip, and a couple other serving dishes...totally unwrapped and unprotected on a few shelves. I didn't realize until it was packed away in the back of the truck, so I figured it was a lost cause and didn't say anything. After they brought the piece of furniture in to the new house we opened it up and NOTHING was broken!! We could not believe it! I have used Dibble twice now. June 2012 from Schaumburg to Vernon Hills and now from Vernon Hills to Aurora. They are incredible! I could not believe how incredible they are. I had a last minute change of address, same complex just different building and naturally it wasn't an issue. I was told between 8:30-9:30 arrival which was great since I was getting up early to pack up my cars of things I am not comfortable movers moving. At 8:10 they arrive and we clocked in work starting at 8:15. As were signing papers with one the other two went straight to moving. They packed up our 894sq foot apartment in 2 hours. We have an hour drive down getting keys and such etc and they were waiting. We reviewed the new apartment to check spacing and then they immediately started moving in. They sorted the boxes according to my labels that i put on each one for which room. They figured out ways to get different pieces into every room. Did a bit disassembling of some pieces and put them back in perfect condition. We clocked out on time at 12:45 in our new apartment! I have never had such fast efficient work! Price was as quoted plus we added some insurance which was very affordable and I am glad we didnt need it. We were told about the fees for supplies and it was in the range quoted as well! I have no cons about them. They were so beyond efficient and quick I truly appreciated the service I was provided. I will always use Dibble for any move and I will recommend it to anyone wanting to move! read more
