I had my first appointment at Diamond Optical today. CAN I GIVE 10 STARS PLEASE! I don't typically get "wordy" with my reviews, but I have to say, I was so impressed that I couldn't wait to review them! I am a LONG-TIME glasses person. I have gone to many different places, and pretty much thought they were all the same, and I eventually settled on a "chain" store, thinking it would be "better". Boy was I wrong! Not only is the service better, but the prices we SIGNIFICANTLY lower for great quality! I can't wait to get my new glasses! I love being able to support a local, family owned business and Diamond Optical is 10 stars! The Dr, staff and owner have maintained the "old fashioned" ideals around customer experience! THANK YOU! First, it really reeks like cheap air freshener. Second, the woman continuously and gruffly emphasized that it's HER store; but only to say "I can't get that" and "I don't have that". Even if she did have what we were looking for, I don't think I would have trusted her, as she was so unfamiliar with customer care. Finally, the cheapest (unattractive, dirty and dusty too) frames were $120, not including the price of the lenses which would also be at least another $120. read more

The people there are fantastic the Dr was great, But there was Not a big selection of glasses for our insurance.

Dr Emily Voytilla- I'm a case manager and I brought in a client for an exam. She was very mean to my client and made her cry. She told her that she was lying about seeing dots and static in her vision. read more

I've been coming for years. I completely feel confident in their ability to help others with their eye issues. I'm seeing negative reviews and I can't help but think this may be a problem with the person not the establishment. When my daughter said she was having issues with her eyes she was listened to and taken very seriously and was sent to a hospital to get further treatment. They are extremely concerned and polite. Never had an issue. I totally recommend !!! read more

This place has the biggest and best selection for us! I have some really cool frames and Christie is so helpful! I even got frames from somewhere else once and she had lens's made for me. Took our nearly 7 yr old son here. What a mistake! Doctor spent maybe 5-6 minutes with him, never identified himself to my wife, and left without my son being able to read the letters on the board. Our son has not had issues seeing any doctor in the past, even when he's sick. This "exam" was a joke. read more

I went here a few years ago and the owner was rude and condescending. This was when the pandemic had every doctors office have the mask mandate. I have congenital nystagmus and trying to see through the lens. I informed her about it and she told me that I should go to northeast Ohio eye surgeons and when I told her no. She also asked if I had a case manager because she said she rather talk to someone else besides me. She came out of her office screaming my name and I ran away in fear. The next day I had the cops at my door because she made a false claim and said she that I wanted to kill myself. Luckily the cops that came out knew who I was and basically had to do the welfare check. She also sent a referral to northeast Ohio eye surgeons and I told them that I didn't want her to but because I am disabled she thought that I was incapable of finding an eye doctor on my own. She also called my case manager crying because of the review I put on google. Well after that I found a wonderful eye doctor who cares about his patients. I called last year to see if they could get my glasses prescription filled and the lady at the front desk was rude and said that they don't want to do business with me because of the review that I left. I am sorry but if someone not only comes out and calls the cops but also sent a referral to a place that I said not too. She violated my rights as a human being and I would not recommend her. She doesn't handle criticism well at all and instead of listening and learning from what she has done and try to show that she is the bigger person she would rather be ignorant and not grow from the review someone left. read more

I went to Diamond Optical because they are a provider for my insurance, but I would go back again because I was impressed with the service I received. Dr. Emily Voytilla took her time during the exam, answering questions, and also gave me some insights into an issue I've been having that no one else had ever explained before. The woman behind the front counter (regrettably, I didn't catch her name) was also very friendly and helpful while I was picking out glasses. The only "downside" is that the location is very small and, likewise, the frame selection is small (if they had more room they could stock more frames). Also, their hours are somewhat limited and that can make things difficult for people like me who work a standard 8-5 business day. These are just observations, though, not complaints. I've already highly recommended Diamond Optical to my family and friends! read more

I find both employee and owner of this place very rude. They insulted me on my nationality for no reason. I did not know that I cannot get another pair that is the same as my glasses without a doctor prescription but why insult me on that? The owner was too combative and not much helpful. Too bad to have such a shop in this nice town. read more

I don't understand the other reviews. We have been going there for 40 years. At least 6 with the current staff, owner, doctor. We have never had a problem. They work well with our insurance plan. Maybe one lady might come across rude, but if you give her a chance, you will like her. We love this place. read more
