I scheduled two separate appointments, and both were canceled without any notification to me. For the first one, I confirmed the appointment three times--twice by phone and once by text--yet they continued to call to confirm, only to cancel it anyway without informing me. I gave them another chance and made a second appointment a month later. When I showed up, I was told it had been canceled again, and neither I nor the staff at the location had been notified. This was a complete waste of my time, and it's incredibly disappointing to deal with such poor communication and scheduling practices.

Some may say, why, isn't that why you have bifocals? Since I read a good bit & use my phone/ipad a great deal, it seemed like a reasonable suggestion. However, the whole BOGO event was wrapped around a donation of glasses to the Lions Club that appears sketchy now. The premise, if you weren't happy with the 2nd pair (which were going to be my readers) then you can donate them. The glasses arrive, I'm not happy with either pair. The readers (the 'free' pair) arrived with a broken frame & they were so tight on my face, I swear they made them in a child's frame. They swore they didn't. The office manager sent them off to be fixed. Next up, the pair I paid for, I couldn't see clearly out of the reading area of the right eye. I left with these after being told to try wearing them for a while to see if things improve. No improvement and I learned they didn't put the driving transition in the lenses. Working with the office manager, she said, she would take care of everything and make things right for both glasses. The next text I received told me my glasses were ready. Visited again to still find problems. Free frames/lenses were still tight & small, but not broken this time. She told me to wear them for a while to see if things get better (seems to be their mantra). When I wore them they are still tight & small, and I have a fish bowl view thru the lenses, which makes me nauseous. I don't wear them at all! (see why I call the BOGO sketchy). Still working with OM, several more visits regarding the frame/lenses of the ones I paid for, I couldn't see out of the reading portion & they are so heavy, they are making large indents/black and blue marks on both sides of my nose. I have been there to replace the nose pads, to bend the frames, Re-exam, etc., but nothing fixes the problem! From my last visit (weeks ago), I'm still waiting for a call back for a better solution. Oh did I mention they convinced me to take the insurance, which does nothing! Actually, they had put that charge on my bill without asking if I wanted it. When I saw it, I told them I didn't want it, but they said, it's always suggested you take it because it replaces the glasses when things go wrong. No paperwork was given to me so I could prove that it really did what they were promoting (yes, that was my mistake to fall for that BS). As a last resort on my last visit, I asked if I could just get new frames, but was told it would cost $40 more as a restocking fee...are you kidding me...no way! Exactly when does that insurance kick in? Still waiting for callback with resolutions. Needless to say, not using this business again.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sika for 24 years. He is an excellent physician and the only reason I…read morestayed with this practice as long as I did. I had an appointment scheduled 9 months ago and confirmed it when I received a text reminder on December 27. Today, I drove 40 minutes each way, arranged childcare for my 2- and 4-year-old, and arrived on time--only to be told I did not have an appointment. The front desk staff rudely and repeatedly told me that her manager "called and canceled" my appointment on January 6, 2026 at 3:30 PM. I received no phone call, no voicemail, and no written notification. I even checked my phone records through my service provider, which confirm no incoming call at that time. Despite this, the staff member continued to insist that the call was "documented in the system," with no apology and no effort to resolve the situation. This resulted in over 1.5 hours of wasted driving, unnecessary childcare arrangements, and a completely avoidable disruption to my day. Dr. Sika is excellent--but this office's front desk staff and scheduling practices are unprofessional and unreliable. After 24 years as a loyal patient, I will never return to this office. A practice that cancels appointments without actually notifying patients--and then treats them poorly for showing up--is not worthy of anyone's time.

I meet with the Dr. who DOES NOT check my eyes again, but types in some numbers in the computer. The prescription was for computer work and close up.... they gave me a prescription for Distance.. (that's not what I asked for!) I go back AGAIN... 2nd pair STILL WRONG.. I repeat.. I DO NOT NEED DISTANCE.. "Ohhh.. ok.. I will tweak the prescription".. again NO EYE EXAM.. Now....just seems like they're just guessing. I go back again.... and guess what?... they WERE STILL WRONG!.. AND AGAIN asking if I could see distance..I told him AGAIN.. they're not for distance... he says "did they know that?"......... OMG. I said "I'M DONE!!" ok... so he issues me a refund for what I paid out of pocket, and said he had to call my insurance co.. so they can reimburse them. I asked how much it would be.. he said "I don't know"... WHAT? why? didn't you submit an amount?... then charge me the difference?....... He could not answer my simple questions! "what was the total cost??" he pointed to an amount on the receipt, and I said.. why did you tell me a different amount the first day?.. His answer was "Or so you say". OR SO I SAY????????..... . WHAT?..wtf!!.. I'M SOO MAD! Terrible service terrible experience!! TERRIBLE!!!!!!!

As soon as I walked in a friendly optician met me and asked what I needed. She briefly looked at my prescription, determined they could help me, directed me to the correct section of the store and gave me a tray to collect the glasses I liked in. She then allowed me to browse alone, checking on me once during that time. There was a good selection of name brand frames and styles. When I had chosen three frames I liked the optician took my photograph in each pair and provided me a quarter screen side by side view. This technology was very helpful in choosing a pair. It helped draw attention to things like where my eye was positioned in the lens. The optician offered good advice regarding which frame would work best with my prescription. They offered a $34 insurance that covers the frames for 1 year - replacement with $25 deductible. For payment Lens Crafters accepted my Medical Mutual insurance. They also compared my insurance price with the price of their current sale. My insurance won, but by fewer than $100. The glasses on the shelf are the actual ones you take home. Aside from brands like Ray Ban, the store only stocks one of each frame. The lenses for my frames were ready in less than one hour as promised. The optician was highly skilled in properly adjusting my glasses.
