The 1st appointment I had in 2023, I waited 45 minutes as he was running behind. I decided to give them another chance as I understand all professions can run behind and he was very thorough and kind. My next yearly appointment was scheduled for Jan 16 2024. I scheduled a half day off work, his office called the morning of my appointment and cancelled because Dr. Ward's nanny was in a car accident. Understandable reason to cancel and the office did reschedule for Jan 31st. I took another half day off.  His office (Lorain Oh) called again the morning of my appointment to cancel and reschedule. I declined to reschedule and decided to go to Lang Optical in Elyria.  Dr. Ward does appear to offer his services to a lot of people in need homeless, veterans, medically underserved etc, so a pat on the back to him and the stellar human that he is.  However, if he is going to be in a profession that requires him to be available for people of all walks of life, he may want to have a back up team that can take on his patients when he needs to cancel or not take on so many patients.  With respect, Tracey Mudrock

This review is for preventative care…read more I have been a patient of Dr. Koos for quite a few years now on the recommendation of my wife. Dr. Koos and the staff here are very friendly and helpful. I am in and out very quickly on each visit (no long wait time at all). Exams are standard fare for anyone used to visiting an eye care professional (1 or 2? 3 or 4? ). I have had nothing but good service from this office so feel free to come and talk with them. Contact lens pricing is very reasonable through this office but glasses are a little pricey (you'll have that anywhere though really). Overall, I highly recommend this office to anyone seeking an eye care professional. -Update July 2016- I have been continuing to visit Dr. Koos for years now with no problem. However, my most recent visit has left a bad taste in my mouth... My latest prescription from Dr. Koos was a little off (which caused blurry vision with the contacts I purchased from them). Note that I got the prescription in December of 2015 so I could get that and the contacts purchased prior to the end of the year to take advantage of my insurance breaks. I didn't need the contacts yet since I had a couple of pairs left from my last box. When I did finally get to the "updated prescription" box of contacts, it was springtime. I found the first pair to be blurry but tried them for a couple of days to make sure it wasn't just me. I then tried a second pair to see if there was just something odd with the first pair. Once I found that the second pair were also off, I made an appointment to have the situation checked out. I finally got in to see Dr. Koos a week or so after that and he told me that the prescription didn't fit my astigmatism as he thought it would. He tweaked my prescription and ordered me a trial pair of contacts (which worked well). Where I am dissatisfied is that the office charged another fitting fee and would not replace the original lenses I purchased even though my prescription was erroneous. They do state that contacts cannot be returned after a certain period but this was their mistake (which happens and I understand). However, when business mistakes are made, they should be corrected at no expense to the customer. I plan to take my business elsewhere due to this business faux pas.
