This got the job done and was among the most inexpensive options after comparison. Thanks!

Justin is very kind, clean and friendly. He did a great job changing out my locks and came fully prepared with what I called in and asked for, My locks are old and my neighbors are pretty shady, so it feel nice to have new set of locks up! read more

Fast and easy communication, they come to my house and make a new fob to my truck. high recommend,

Had the replace a key to my BMW. They replaced the key but it never really worked right. They then sent a new technician a couple days later who came and looked at the key and told me the battery was dead. To go ahead and replace it myself at CVS. It's a brand new key. read more

Fast honest and kind. I appreciate the willingness to give an estimate online and the service was on time and quick. Very nice to work with. read more

Very easy to communicate with, and they were very detail oriented in the installation. Also left the work area quite clean. Much appreciated! read more

Easy. Flexible (my original appointment time had to change) and they were accommodating. Basic service request to reprogram 2 keys for our Camry. Teishone was on time, communicated well via text, professional and ensured all both remotes were working properly (test/retest) to ensure no problems. Service was quick and efficient and most importantly reasonably priced. Other businesses were quoting much, much higher. Appreciate the help! Will keep for future business. read more

lowest and fastest rate I found on here! They were nice and very efficient. would Call back if i needed other locks changed!

Fast quote , great communication and dedicated professional to do the work. I will definitely call Diamond Locksmith again.

I had a fabulous experience with Tishone and Ray. The came in and rekeyed my vehicles and house keys quickly and made sure that everything worked as expected and gave me a great deal. I would definitely recommend them anytime. read more

These guys are awesome! Second time having them help me. First time was duplicate of my Prius keys that I needed made because I lost all of it....but they made it for me on the spot! Second was the ignition key that was all messed up and I couldn't turn off my car. I called them around 5pm so the suppliers were closed but they came the next day and repaired it for me! thank you and ask for their help next time i have issues with keys or locks again! read more

These guys are freaking amazing!! Locksmith super heroes! Responsive and I mean within a few minutes responsive even in the middle of the night. They are also extremely capable considering most locksmiths I spoke with (over 10) claimed they couldn't do the job and to reach out to Lexus. The car key locked in the trunk of a car that had zero means of accessing the trunk without the keys. The few who said they could get into the trunk wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for the job. Most providing a price window ranging in the hundreds of dollars. Diamond gave a single quote that came in far below the rest and said they could be out the next day. AND showed on time, got the job completed in a timely fashion and all while I was in a Zoom meeting. By the time I ended the call the work was complete. But here's the real value of Diamond locksmith - they came in significantly cheaper than anyone else all while providing service over and beyond expectations. There's no doubt I'll be repeatedly utilizing Diamond. read more

Owner Ray provided efficient emergency car key fob replacement for our daughter in past. Today's job: his technician Teishone added a brand new deadbolt lock to our home's original wood entry door. The older door frame made it technically trickier but the new dead bolt looks like it's always been there and works great! 5+ stars. Well priced excellent work! read more

On time, knowledgeable and courteous staff. They were able to handle different types of locks and offered competitive pricing.

Ray was able to troubleshoot and fix a broken lock in no time. Professional and skilled, Ray fixed the lock within 30 minutes. I am happy to recommend him to my neighbors. read more

Diamond Locksmith - Van - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - San Mateo, California

Lost the key to my parents' mailbox, D'OH!! :-O But one quick glance at Yelp led me to Diamond Locksmith, where I was easily able to set up an appointment to get the mailbox lock & keys changed. On the day of the appointment, right on time, Alex appeared and had everything ship-shape in less than 20 minutes! Friendly, professional, and efficient, Alex is a true Champion of Customer Service! Will definitely use Diamond Locksmith in the future (if I need to)! read more

I requested a new car key since I lost one of them. This was a car key for a 2023 model Lexus. Teishon was very friendly and got the job done promptly and very courteous. The price was significantly better than the price I was quoted by the dealer. Diamond used OEM parts so it is the same key fob as the dealer. If I ever have an another issue with keys, I will definitely use Diamond Locksmith again. Highly recommend!! read more

It's always a pleasure having Diamond Locksmith take care of my security needs. Running my own business and keeping my service van well secured is crucial. I was glad to setup an appointment on Sunday being my van is in use 6 days a week. Really happy that they installed my security locks as I requested. 5 star service read more

I lost one of my VW key fobs and needed a backup. The service was prompt, professional and exactly what was agreed upon including programming the new and old keys. The price was half of what the VW dealership quoted. High recommended! read more

The key lock in our front door cylinder rotated freely without engaging the deadbolt. I contacted Diamond and got an immediate response from Ray. He sent DeShawn, who quickly diagnosed the problem. At first he thought it might require a new custom cylinder that could take a few weeks to order. But DeShawn was resourceful and he was able to locate the individual part that broke in the mechanism and replace it at a fraction of the original estimated cost, within 2 days! I love it when a business underpromisses and overdelivers. Our front door lock is now back in business, faster and cheaper than it could have been. Plus, both Ray and DeShawn responded quickly to my texts, and DeShawn was very friendly and personable. I highlight recommend Diamond Locksmith. read more

DeSean and Ray were terrific. The job took WAY longer than they expected but they hung in there and achieved success. (Programming a second Chevy Bolt key fob.) Some of the other people I'd contacted did not guarantee their work; even if they could not have programmed the key fob correctly they would've charged me. Not so with Diamond Locksmith, which I appreciate appreciated greatly. Fair price, given the time spent. read more

Great service and very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend them. Cost was reasonable, too.

Quick and responsive. Very helpful. Locksmiths are hard to find in SF. Some don't even respond. Sone say they will come out and never show up. Diamond shows up and does the work. read more

I called them based on the Yelp reviews even though I was skeptical - lots of fake reviews out there! They said they would give me a free estimate for fixing my deadbolt stuck in the locked position (which none of the other places I called offered that), so why not? My appointment day rolled around and got a call from Justin letting me know what his ETA was. He showed up on time - a respectful and polite young lad. Justin disassembled the lock to diagnose the problem. He ended up replacing a small part but of course informed us of the cost beforehand. It was competitive. He installed it, but it didn't solve the problem. He clearly explained next options to us. Justin was honest - He was able to fix it w/o having to order a $400-600 custom European replacement part! He kept thanking us for being patient with him, when it fact, we were incredibly thankful he took time to diagnose the problem, try different solutions, and meticulously install the parts. He kept going back to his truck to fine-tune parts to perfection. He vacuumed up the mess he made. So professional and friendly. Would definitely recommend. We would use Diamond Locksmith again hands down. Thank you Justin for being respectful, honest, productive, and detail-oriented....all at a very competitive price! Two thumbs up! read more

Our car fob plastic case broke and we bought a replacement case online. Needed the key blade cut, no programming required since the transponder and chip would be transferred to the new case. Big box store wasn't able to do it but Diamond did. New key worked, service was prompt and friendly, and price was reasonable. We will use Diamond again if we needed any locksmith services. read more

They arrived a bit later than expected but it was not bad. They were quick and efficient with opening the door and got spares done for us in less than 5min. read more

Great customer service! Teishone came out to help with new key fobs. He gave me status updates and delivered!

I called around a few local locksmiths, who varied in pricing and couldn't tell me (even with photos) whether or not they could rekey my lock, let alone a provide a quote for how much it would cost. I was quoted $200-250 from some. I called up Diamond Locksmith and they were confident they could rekey my door and gave me a quote over text. I was able to schedule for the next morning and they were willing to drive to Oakland from San Mateo, plus their pricing was competitive and transparent ($125 for our electronic door lock). We ended up also replacing the backdoor lock for an additional $50 to the same key as the front door, plus they provided 3 sets of keys no extra charge. Our door was a little tricky to close and he spent a lot of time and care trying to fix it for us -- he left the door working in better condition than it was before. Can't recommend Diamond Locksmith enough! They were prompt, professional, and had great attention to detail. I'll definitely use them again in the future and recommend to all my friends. read more

I managed to deprogram my car's last remaining original keyfob late in the evening tonight. Went on Yelp searching for a locksmith and Ray @ Diamond Locksmith was the only contact in my Yelp search results list who responded in an instant, showed up at my place at 10:30 pm, got everything reprogrammed and fixed in less than 5 minutes (literally) and charged less than 1/3rd of a dealership's rate. Thank you, Ray! read more

Great response time. Great communication. They quickly scheduled us the next day to install a smart lock and rekey 4 locks at a very reasonable price, especially for how fast they completed the job. Every key and every lock works great. Highly recommend. read more

Extremely disappointing! I do not understand the five star reviews on yelp at all. My senior citizen mom paid $180 to have her front door lock worked on. The handle set was not operating properly. The worker took a drill to the brass plate on the door, almost drilling to the edge of the door itself. Completely damaged the door and the plate for no reason. Because after all that, the front door lock still does not operate properly. Please seek out a different locksmith, If you want the job done right. read more

Very quick response, with kind, courteous staff. I had to use them in an emergency situation and would do so again!

This is the second time I called on this locksmith. This time I locked a door and could not find the key. I requested Diamond locksmith to come to the rescue. They sent Tishon to address the problem. He came on time and performed the service quickly and efficiently. I asked him to make copies of the door keys and he made it on site without any problem. I decided to ask for copies of another door within the house while he was there. He did not have the right equipment for that particular door lock. Instead, he called on another co-worker who had the right equipment to come over. His name was Justin. Justin made an appointment to see me on the date and time I would be available. Justin came on the agreed upon time and made the spare keys. I highly recommend this company. They are fast, perform the job well, and their employees deliver excellent customer service at a good price. read more

Pros: good price to cut my car key. Although the machine automated process took only 5 minutes, other vendors wanted nearly double Cons: totally unresponsive. Setting up an appointment took multiple days of texting and me getting no responses or 1-2 word responses. It shouldn't be this hard and my time was not respected. read more

I got a quote from Ray for my Prius Prime and it was pretty much as I expected. So I made an appointment on Tuesday. My appointment time was just around the corner and Ray texted me and said he can't make it and wanted to know if Friday was OK. I said sure. My appointment came around and he was pretty much on time. He looked my car and he search for the right fob. He found one but it looked scratched up. He offered to change the case but I like my case cause it was more unique than the regular Prius fobs. I just wished it look newer. He also cut the key for me. Great job! read more
