    Van Damme Pizza

I came here with my mother for lunch around 1pm. The parking lot was small but there is tons of on street parking and a public lot across the street. At 1pm the place wasnt busy at all. There was one other customer at a table against the wall. The hostess was very welcoming and let us pick where we wanted to sit. For some reason my 84 yr old mother always wants to sit by a window. That is more scenic but in the late fall, on a damp, cold, dreary day.... Sitting by the window was also cold. She couldnt figure out why she was so cold. Lol. Also adding to the temperature conundrum was the hvac had a outport directly over the booth she choose. Still she didnt want to move. So I sat there freezing but smiling. The menu has a lot of things to choose from. Being fall, I knew they had the harvest salad. So I knew that was what i was ordering. She wanted pizza. At Deweys, you can order any of the specialty pizza half and half. So we ordered half Van Damme (brussell sprouts, onions, bacon, garlic n cheese ) and half a Hawaiian. Pizza was big enough to share and have three pieces to take home. Salad was huge and I ate every last leaf. Its one of my favorite salads. It has peptitas, figs and boursin cheese topped with homemade cider vinaigrette. Soo good. We left full and happy. Thanks Deweys.

I've been wanting to try Dewey's for a while, but it's a bit of a trek from home. We finally made it out to the Worthington location for a late lunch to celebrate my daughters' last day of school. We started with the peppercorn ranch salad and loved it so much we ordered a second. It was super refreshing, and according to my daughter who's a self-proclaimed ranch connoisseur; the dressing was superior. For pizzas, we tried Ryan's Inferno and a classic pepperoni. Ryan's Inferno is their take on buffalo chicken pizza, topped with buffalo chicken, blue cheese, celery, and ranch on an olive oil base. It had great flavor, though the blue cheese was a bit overpowering. Next time, we'd probably skip that topping. The real standout of both pizzas? The crust. Light, airy, fluffy and seriously delicious. However, the pepperoni pizza fell flat. It tasted low quality, almost like something from Little Caesars. We couldn't quite tell if it was the sauce or the pepperoni, but it lacked flavor and felt underwhelming. Ryan's Inferno was the clear favorite at our table. I can see why Dewey's is a neighborhood go-to, but for serious pizza lovers, it's just okay. Major kudos for the crust, though, it deserves its own spotlight.

Bronx Bomber pizza with Pepperoni, sliced sausage, black olives, onions, and green peppers.

I have had Dewey's Pizza in Grandview and this Worthington location a few times. My friend and I shared the seasonal Harvest salad with fig, bacon, and pumpkin seeds that was delicious before the Bronx Bomber pizza with Pepperoni, Sliced Sausage, Black Olives, Green Peppers, and Onions. I loved the Bronx Bomber because of gooey cheese and sliced sausage. Other pizza places do sausage crumbles while Dewey's is one of the few that does sliced sausage on their pizzas. I love the New York style thin crust that crispy on the edge and soft that you can fold the pizza slice. It was lunchtime and not that busy, there was one server who did a wonderful job in taking great care of my friend and I. I like you can see where they make your pizza. I will be going back to Dewey's Pizza in Worthington, Grandview, will check the Dublin location too.

First time trying Dewey's pizza and it was incredible! We ordered the elote pizza and a cheese with jalapenos. The elote pizza is seasonal so definitely try it before it goes away! The sweet smoky notes of the roasted corn are complemented by the tajin crema drizzled on top, adding a zesty brightness that cuts through the richness. What sets this pizza apart is the crust of the pizza. It is baked to perfection, it's fluffy and light. I would 100% recommend this spot!

Dewey's Pizza has a good variety of specialty pizzas. I promise myself I will try something new each time I go. However, I always end up ordering the Porky Fig pizza. It is just too good. The Porky Fig pizza has a fig jam base, mozzarella, fontina, prosciutto, caramelized red onions, gorgonzola. It may sound a little odd, but it is a delicious combination of sweet and savory. Dewey's restaurant is not that large of a space, but it does offer seating space outside as well. They also sometimes bring in live music. The bar area is pretty small.

Stopped in for Lunch with the Hubby. Our first time here. Inside was nice and open. They have a window to the kitchen. You can see the magic happening. Staff was very friendly and the space was nice and clean. We decided to try 2 different pies. One was the Hawaiian and the Other was a Veggie. They came out nice and hot and both had nice flavor to them. Nice amount of toppings. We enjoyed everything about our experience. Not normally in this area but if we are we will come back to try more.

    Porky fig / meatball pizza

I've loved Dewey's since back when I lived in Dayton and that love is still true. Exceptional salads, fantastic 'za and a truly great service model make for an amazing experience. Today I had the seasonal Harvest salad which rocked my world with abundant greens, dried figs, garlicky Boursin cheese, pumpkin seeds, bacon and a cider vinaigrette. I followed that up with a pizza that was half porky fig, half meatball. A finer gourmet pizza I've yet to find - it checked all the boxes. My mouth and tummy are happy.

    MEATBALL and arugula Prosciutto

So after having Dewey's pizza, I'd say its definitely towards the top of my Columbus pizza list now. Staff was nice and patient, restaurant was nice and clean, food was great. My only complaint would probably be that parking appears sort of sparse but it didn't seem to be an issue when I went. We got 2 small half and half pizzas. You can literally make any pizza half and half, which is amazing cause I like to try everything. They also have create your own options so really you can sort of do whatever you want flavorwise. As the preset topping combos were already enticing, we tried 4 different ones. We got the seasonal arugula prosciutto, meatball, green lantern with white sauce, and edgar allan poe. Also got everything well done cause im a crispy bitch. All the flavors were great but the arugula prosciutto was def my favorite of the bunch and made me sad it was seasonal. The choice of getting white sauce for the green lantern turned out great. Don't know what it'd be like as is so can't compare. Overall, it was great pizza and having the welldone option made the pizza so crispy. It also felt super light for what it is and I was able to finish a whole pizza alone. No shame, fatty life forever.

    KILLER VEGGIE and Caprice Pizza
    Sarah W.

Dewey's Pizza is definitely good pizza. We ordered a cheese, veggie, and a caprice. The caprice is a white pizza with garlic, cherry tomatoes, and basil. It was by far my favorite. The veggie was also delicious. I found the cheese pizza to be fairly unremarkable but decent. The salads were good as well. The brownies were amazing which I was not expecting. No idea where they get them from but they are so good. Like best I have ever had good. The only issues we had was it was a bit difficult to order and we ended up getting an extra pizza, not for free or anything. The person I was speaking with had a really hard time hearing and said that their phone didn't work well. There also was an event uptown so we couldn't get to the location to pickup the order which is no fault of Dewey's but it would have been nice of them to give us a heads up that we would have to park somewhere else and walk there to pick up the food. Regardless I'm still thinking about those brownies so they are doing something right.

    PORKY FIG
    Jenn B.

My favorite take out pizza for a reason, especially if you are looking for something a little more upscale. I love the fun and eccentric pizza toppings. My all time favorite is the Porky Fig with fig and prosciutto, but the Dr Dre was also very tasty with a spicy kick!We also tried the salads, which were very good. Overall highly recommend - I always get a large because the leftovers are more than worth it!

Dewey's is always amazing. Their Caesar salad is a MUST. So good. We got a pepperoni and mushroom pizza and their seasonal pizza. it was good! Roasted potatoes, bacon, cheese, onions, basically a loaded potato pizza. We loved it. Always such good service here too!

Dewey's is one of our favorite pizza places we've found since moving to Columbus. The pizza crust is thin and floppy like NY pizza. They use high quality toppings and have great pizza of the month specials. But for whatever reason, this location is very stingy with the toppings. That is my only criticism. Of the pizzas we've tried, I'd say the meatball pizza was our least favorite. It was really lacking meatballs and toppings, which made it bland and not filling at all. To quote my hubby, "it was weak". LOL! Our favorites have all been monthly specials; the arugula prosciutto, Tito Santana, and the elote. They were all amazing! A while back we tried to replicate a pizza that Pagliacci's in Seattle makes (Dewey's crust is very similar to Pagliacci's). It had an olive oil base with Gorgonzola, fontina, tomatoes (added after bake), fresh basil, and oregano. It turned out pretty good but it was very light on toppings. We paid a premium for each topping, so I don't feel we should have to pay for extra toppings next time just to get a normal amount of toppings. We often find ourselves taking the toppings and trying to distribute them onto pieces that have little or no toppings at all. They don't offer any sides/appetizers like breadsticks, garlic knots, or garlic cheese bread. They do have a variety of salads to choose from though. If you are wanting pick up or delivery on the weekends, make sure to order ahead, because it usually takes around 90 minutes.

Rotten lettuce in my salad tonight. Yuck! Pizza was good.

I picked Pies & Pints from that list this month. I'll share the good things first. I loved that they took a reservation for me as there were 11 of us coming. Granted, once I got there, I realized it probably wasn't necessary as they had a long row of tables against a wall that easily accommodated groups. Regardless, it's nice to tell the group that we have a spot waiting for us. We were seated right away and service was good. They were fine with us having separate checks. I think that's become easier with the POS technology now, but it's still nice to not get the side eye when you ask for separate checks. The menu is limited - which we all should have been aware of prior to arrival. I sent the link out to the restaurant menu with my monthly invitation so women know what they are signing up for. My case - I only go for the fellowship and just get a diet soda. I intermittent fast and don't eat until after 2 PM daily. Regardless, some of the women must not have paid attention to the menu - even when ordering. At least one was shocked when she got a pizza. It had spinach and other vegetable fixings so when she ordered she was clueless. The food looked excellent. Not traditional pizzas but many white flatbread style pizzas. Even so, most women picked at their food. Maybe a few got boxes to take home the food. No one complained. No one said a word about the food. If they are like me, they are there for the company - not so much the food. I gave three stars based on a bunch of old ladies non preferring pizza. Objectively, the food looked good but do not go here if you're not a pizza person or you're looking for a traditional red sauced pizza.
