Well, while I got any topping that I wanted, I got so little right from the start. For example, without even knowing what I wanted, when I asked for ham, I got like 5-6 pieces. If you know the size of the pizzas, this doesn't cover much. So when I asked for a little more, I got 3 more. Again, not covering much. Haven't had Blaze for so long, have always like it. Pick your sauce and toppings, they cook it for you. I always get the spicy red sauce, pepperoni and salami, and all the veggies. Yay! I love the blaze franchise, but my experience at this location wasn't the best. The bottom of the pizza was mostly black and it was difficult to eat the pizza. Sad that the worthington location closed cause it was so much closer to home. This year was the "meat lovers" combo I tried and loved it. The extra garlic really came through with each bite too. Cheesy garlic bread was ok, probably not good enough for me to get it again unless I'm splitting it with someone since a bread and a pizza are too much for one person. The pesto was less than desirable. Not a lot of flavor and didn't add much to the bread. Shop was BUSY and only two people working. Would like to see some other help in there to make things go faster. A 20 min wait at this location just to place your order is not what I expect it to be. On this particular day the workers didn't seem too happy to be there but I'm chalking that up to a bad day since I haven't had issues in the past at other locations. Overall, I love their pizza. It's easy, fun, and totally customizable. And on most days pretty quick in and out too. What was mind blowing is that this place is right next-door to the Newport music venue and I was grabbing some pizza after a killer show by the Mike Gordon Band, when lo and behold Mike and the band got in line for some pizza behind us and we got to meet them and thank them for such an amazing show! Now back to the pizza, I love fire grilled pizza so this place is right up my alley. It's basically like a subway where you start at the beginning of the line tell them what you want on your pizza, they make it, throw it in the fire and call your name when it's ready. There wasn't a ton of staff so the same guy putting the toppings also did the register. He was busy. I did the two toppings with mozzarella, of course, then spinach and tomato. I kinda wish that blaze had a choice of lactose free cheese but that's something the franchise would have to consider someday. I'm lactose sensitive and can eat cheese but not a whole lot of it. I enjoyed it! I was definitely full, although it could've been the cheese making me feel full. I don't think you can make a wrong choice here since it's build your own. You can choose some specialty types as well if you're not into creating something. What's awesome is that you don't have to get pizza sauce either if you're not into it. So lots of choices! It looked decent originally but as I began to eat it, it tasted a little burnt so I flipped it to look at the bottom and saw that most of my pizza was burnt.
