The hot honey and sausage marry together so well to make the perfect combo on a pizza. Delivery is available!

Sometimes people want to dig in so fast that you can't get a clean pic of the Spinach Artichoke Pizza.

Two distinct pizzas but one happy camper! In trying the spinach artichoke pizza (olive oil base; chicken) and the heartland pizza (red sauce; pepperoni/bacon), I can say that Brenz is a Jack of All Trades in the pizza game. 22 pizzas + a build your own option means that you're bound to find something that you like. Good crust and generous toppings. The only downside might be from a value perspective. At the 12 inch size, a lot of the selections were $19. If that doesn't intimidate you, a good pizza awaits.

Bomb!!!!!!!!!! So amazing and the pizza is more than pizza. It's magic in slices!!! The lord knows what he was doing!!!!

Holy pizza!!! This was so delicious. So cheesy and saucy. Toppings to pizza were the perfect ratio and the sauce was sweeter without going over board. I'll be making this a regular stop!!

Wow!! I was deciding between the soup shop two doors down and this pizza shop and I'm sooooo happy with my choice. I'm sure soup would have been delicious but holy cats was this salad and pizza satisfying! And the customer service here is super. The staff are genuine, attentive, and enthusiastic. I loved my House salad with an incredibly good fresh Italian dressing, which I'm told is made in house. Even the small size was so generous! Loaded with fresh greens, veggies, and croutons. Only $3.99! I also ordered an 8-inch specialty pizza, which I'm loving. I'll take half home. These are 4 specialty options that are vegetarian, plus you can build your own with the 30+ topping options!! Loved this place!!

In the search to find my favorite pizza joint in Columbus, I gave Brenz a try. They are currently delivery or take out only, so I called ahead and placed an order for take out. The online menu offers a good selection of specialty pizzas, and at the bottom talks about a seasonal pizza deemed 'The Local'. The Local is no longer a seasonal pizza, but rather two additional pizzas, called 'The Heartland' and 'Midwest Special' that are now permanent selections on the menu (although not listed on the website). I ended up ordering an 8" Heartland pizza -- red sauce, cheese, pepperoni, bacon, balsamic caramelized onions, roasted red peppers topped with shaved parmesan and fresh basil. Interestingly, the prices are as follows: 8" ($7.99), 12" ($15.79), 14" ($19.49), 16" ($23.49). I did a double take when I first saw this -- you can get two 8" pizzas for essentially the same price as one 12". Not sure how that makes sense, but alright! Anyways, after I placed my order I was told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I showed up right at 20 minutes to find that my pizza hadn't even been started yet -- talk about disappointing. I understand restaurants are short staffed, but I would have been fine if they told me it would take 35-40 minutes -- I would have just stayed at home longer. So after paying and waiting for another 15 minutes in the store, I finally had my take out pizza. Now on to the pizza. The toppings gave it a good flavor, especially the balsamic onions. However, I was not a fan of the crust and that's strictly personal preference. I tend to favor a thinner crust, and Brenz crust is a bit thicker than a traditional hand tossed pie. During my wait, I watched the pizzas run through the conveyer oven and noticed that during cooking, the crust rises so much that the employees have a tool (think gardening hand rake attached to a long wooden pole) that they stick in through the side of the conveyer to prick at the crust and let the air out so that is falls. Overall, average pizza combined with the extra wait time gives this joint 2 stars in my book.

Easy to order online and they had a lot of staff working! Cheese pizza and cheese bread was good. Ranch was made in house and our daughter thought it was the best! I also bought a peanut butter cookie while I was waiting. Cookies are big, soft, and yummy. Location is just off the Hamilton exit of 161. There are a few stools along the front window, but no other seating. Will definitely be back.

So glad I decided to try this spot. The pizzas and wings are always fresh and delicious and ingredients are quality! The crust is super yummy and they have always followed any notes and included extra sauces which I appreciate. I recommend trying their pepperoni or a white pizza with ranch or garlic butter base. They haven't missed yet for me!

I ordered online and it says 20 minutes for takeout. I arrived at 20 minutes exactly and it was all ready to go! Ordering online was very easy around 1pm. I ordered 2 of the 8 inch cheese pizzas and they tasted great! The sauce, crust, and cheese all combines together for a great pizza. Each 8 inch was around $7.50 which seems fair ... but I felt like I was not completely full after an 8 inch so that's why I think I wish it were more filling or the 8 inch costed less. If I upgrade to the 12 inch for $13, I'm curious if I'd be full / if it's more financially worth it. All in, the pizza did taste wonderful and it's up there in favorite pizzas in the area! The only reason I'm not at 5 stars is the bank for your buck but still a quality pizza and I will definitely return.

Brenz has been on my list for a while now and I'm so glad I finally made it in! Tried a little bit of everything and loved. The pizza is great -- doughier than traditional Columbus style with a respectable ratio of toppings and dough. The pizza is wonderful but then the CinnaBrenz... that'll have you hooked. After being quite full, my husband and I finished this entire tub. Savory and sweet perfection. In total we tried the greek salad, mushroom trio pizza, spicy Hawaiian pizza, cinnabrenz, and a couple cookies!! Firm believer that jalapeño should be on every Hawaiian pizza now! So good and would definitely return.

Awesome pizza! Fast service. Few places to sit but I'd get the pizza and sit in the parking lot. Will be back as often as I am in Columbus.

Ask the Community - Brenz Pizza Co. Columbus

Is this take out only or is dine in available?

Dine-in, take-out, and delivery. Thanks for your interest. This applies to our store in Lennox near campus. Our store in Dublin has a few seats but is primarily take-out and delivery.

Any plans on carrying beer? Hate to say but when we're our out looking for a pie, not having beer is always a deal breaker.... THANKS!

No plans. All of our stores are on the edges of university campuses and adding beer to that equation is something we are not willing to do. Thanks for your interest in Brenz.

Do you serve slices at lunch?

Jen, the smallest pizza we serve is our 8" Personal. Thanks for your interest in Brenz.

    Is the crust homemade?

Absolutely! We make fresh dough every day (sometimes multiple times a day) and let the crust proof for 24-48 hrs. The recipe is ours and we use it for our sub buns and CinnaBrenz dessert bites.

Unfortunately, the Gina's Gem was nothing like what was advertised. I was expecting warm, crusty bread with a roasted cheese dip on the side so you could tear pieces of bread and dip them into the cheese. Instead, the cheese had already been spread directly onto the bread and toasted together. Because of that, the bread lost the texture you would expect--it wasn't crusty or dippable at all. It ended up soft, almost soggy, and the cheese was baked onto the bread rather than being a dip. The whole appeal of the dish was supposed to be the warm bread with the roasted cheese to dip into, and that part was completely missing. Included with the bread was a hot honey that missed the mark on being "hot" and some kind of jam. These options just made everything even more soft....which should have been impossible. The salad was actually the best part of the meal - even though it was a bit spicy. I've always had good experiences here in the past, so this was a big letdown--especially for the price. I just wish the to-go version of the dish matched how it's described, or that expectations were set correctly when ordering. Unfortunately, this experience made me lose all trust in ordering from here again. I can't believe we waited until exactly 3pm (when they opened) to order this.... At the very least the pizza should have been hot.

No "best pizza in town" ego. Just a quiet little window cranking out square pies that deserve a standing ovation. I ordered the classic red top -- already a bold move -- and added pesto because balance matters and I like to live a little. The result? Beyond reproach. Fresh, loaded toppings. Sauce with depth.
