Pepperoni 'za for dinner last night for a full-on Friday night comfort food/nostalgia throwback. I normally get one of their delish fancier pizza options, but this simple pep did not disappoint! Next time I might go with extra toasted or a pizza triangle cut because the middle squares were a bit floppy (but I'm an outside/crust lover myself). 20 mins tops for a pickup order around 6pm and it was almost too hot to eat when we got it home. Legit such good pizza! Always friendly, too.

What a fantastic way to end our night. My friends wanted to see Beetlejuice and then get pizza after the movie. We never knew of this place, and when it popped up, we agreed to check it out. Their pizza was amazingly delicious. My friends got a veggie pizza, one got pepperoni and cheese, and I got easy on the cheese with double pepperoni. I highly recommend this place. Great staff and great food.

The hot honey and sausage marry together so well to make the perfect combo on a pizza. Delivery is available!

Sometimes people want to dig in so fast that you can't get a clean pic of the Spinach Artichoke Pizza.

Two distinct pizzas but one happy camper! In trying the spinach artichoke pizza (olive oil base; chicken) and the heartland pizza (red sauce; pepperoni/bacon), I can say that Brenz is a Jack of All Trades in the pizza game. 22 pizzas + a build your own option means that you're bound to find something that you like. Good crust and generous toppings. The only downside might be from a value perspective. At the 12 inch size, a lot of the selections were $19. If that doesn't intimidate you, a good pizza awaits.

Bomb!!!!!!!!!! So amazing and the pizza is more than pizza. It's magic in slices!!! The lord knows what he was doing!!!!

Holy pizza!!! This was so delicious. So cheesy and saucy. Toppings to pizza were the perfect ratio and the sauce was sweeter without going over board. I'll be making this a regular stop!!

Wow!! I was deciding between the soup shop two doors down and this pizza shop and I'm sooooo happy with my choice. I'm sure soup would have been delicious but holy cats was this salad and pizza satisfying! And the customer service here is super. The staff are genuine, attentive, and enthusiastic. I loved my House salad with an incredibly good fresh Italian dressing, which I'm told is made in house. Even the small size was so generous! Loaded with fresh greens, veggies, and croutons. Only $3.99! I also ordered an 8-inch specialty pizza, which I'm loving. I'll take half home. These are 4 specialty options that are vegetarian, plus you can build your own with the 30+ topping options!! Loved this place!!

In the search to find my favorite pizza joint in Columbus, I gave Brenz a try. They are currently delivery or take out only, so I called ahead and placed an order for take out. The online menu offers a good selection of specialty pizzas, and at the bottom talks about a seasonal pizza deemed 'The Local'. The Local is no longer a seasonal pizza, but rather two additional pizzas, called 'The Heartland' and 'Midwest Special' that are now permanent selections on the menu (although not listed on the website). I ended up ordering an 8" Heartland pizza -- red sauce, cheese, pepperoni, bacon, balsamic caramelized onions, roasted red peppers topped with shaved parmesan and fresh basil. Interestingly, the prices are as follows: 8" ($7.99), 12" ($15.79), 14" ($19.49), 16" ($23.49). I did a double take when I first saw this -- you can get two 8" pizzas for essentially the same price as one 12". Not sure how that makes sense, but alright! Anyways, after I placed my order I was told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I showed up right at 20 minutes to find that my pizza hadn't even been started yet -- talk about disappointing. I understand restaurants are short staffed, but I would have been fine if they told me it would take 35-40 minutes -- I would have just stayed at home longer. So after paying and waiting for another 15 minutes in the store, I finally had my take out pizza. Now on to the pizza. The toppings gave it a good flavor, especially the balsamic onions. However, I was not a fan of the crust and that's strictly personal preference. I tend to favor a thinner crust, and Brenz crust is a bit thicker than a traditional hand tossed pie. During my wait, I watched the pizzas run through the conveyer oven and noticed that during cooking, the crust rises so much that the employees have a tool (think gardening hand rake attached to a long wooden pole) that they stick in through the side of the conveyer to prick at the crust and let the air out so that is falls. Overall, average pizza combined with the extra wait time gives this joint 2 stars in my book.

Easy to order online and they had a lot of staff working! Cheese pizza and cheese bread was good. Ranch was made in house and our daughter thought it was the best! I also bought a peanut butter cookie while I was waiting. Cookies are big, soft, and yummy. Location is just off the Hamilton exit of 161. There are a few stools along the front window, but no other seating. Will definitely be back.

I ordered online and it says 20 minutes for takeout. I arrived at 20 minutes exactly and it was all ready to go! Ordering online was very easy around 1pm. I ordered 2 of the 8 inch cheese pizzas and they tasted great! The sauce, crust, and cheese all combines together for a great pizza. Each 8 inch was around $7.50 which seems fair ... but I felt like I was not completely full after an 8 inch so that's why I think I wish it were more filling or the 8 inch costed less. If I upgrade to the 12 inch for $13, I'm curious if I'd be full / if it's more financially worth it. All in, the pizza did taste wonderful and it's up there in favorite pizzas in the area! The only reason I'm not at 5 stars is the bank for your buck but still a quality pizza and I will definitely return.

So glad I decided to try this spot. The pizzas and wings are always fresh and delicious and ingredients are quality! The crust is super yummy and they have always followed any notes and included extra sauces which I appreciate. I recommend trying their pepperoni or a white pizza with ranch or garlic butter base. They haven't missed yet for me!

Ask the Community - Brenz Pizza Co. Columbus

Is this take out only or is dine in available?

Dine-in, take-out, and delivery. Thanks for your interest. This applies to our store in Lennox near campus. Our store in Dublin has a few seats but is primarily take-out and delivery.

Any plans on carrying beer? Hate to say but when we're our out looking for a pie, not having beer is always a deal breaker.... THANKS!

No plans. All of our stores are on the edges of university campuses and adding beer to that equation is something we are not willing to do. Thanks for your interest in Brenz.

Do you serve slices at lunch?

Jen, the smallest pizza we serve is our 8" Personal. Thanks for your interest in Brenz.

    Is the crust homemade?

Absolutely! We make fresh dough every day (sometimes multiple times a day) and let the crust proof for 24-48 hrs. The recipe is ours and we use it for our sub buns and CinnaBrenz dessert bites.

We started with a Hot Apple Cider, topped with maple-infused whipped cream and cinnamon, along with a couple of hot coffees. The cider was warm, comforting, and full of cozy fall flavors. Unfortunately, the self-serve coffee station wasn't kept stocked, and after waiting quite a while for a refill, we eventually gave up. For breakfast, we ordered two Mushroom Frittatas, a Fresh Buttermilk Biscuit, and a side of Housemade Breakfast Sausage. The Mushroom Frittata featured three hearth-baked eggs with roasted mushrooms, sweet onions, and Gruyère cheese, served alongside breakfast potatoes and a peppery arugula salad. It was flavorful, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. Although I informed the staff about my peanut allergy, I was surprised to find the crispy breakfast potatoes on my plate, which left me uncertain whether the allergy request had been fully communicated to the kitchen. The Fresh Buttermilk Biscuit, served with strawberry preserves, was one of the highlights of the meal. It was flaky, buttery, and wonderfully moist, pairing perfectly with the sweet preserves. The Housemade Breakfast Sausage consisted of two peppery pork patties that were juicy and well-seasoned, making a great accompaniment to the rest of the meal. Overall, we enjoyed a delicious and filling breakfast with fresh, high-quality ingredients. While I wish the coffee station had been monitored more closely and that greater care had been taken regarding my food allergy, the Mushroom Frittata and fresh biscuit alone make Northstar Café worth returning to.

The atmosphere was so peaceful that we completely lost track of time. I ordered the Cowboy Burrito, and hours later I'm still full. It was hearty without feeling overly heavy. The eggs were fluffy, the potato latkes added a nice texture, and the zesty cashew sauce pulled all the flavors together. I also ordered the strawberry matcha and asked if they could add vanilla. They were happy to customize it, and it was absolutely worth it. The strawberry and vanilla combination made it smooth, sweet, and refreshing. Before I left, I grabbed an iced Banana Bread Latte with oat milk and asked for it without ice so I could enjoy it the next day. Formal Complaint: Unprofessional Management and Order Fulfillment at OSU Campus Location…read more To the Executive Team at Roots Natural Kitchen, I am writing to formally express my profound disappointment regarding a recent experience at your Ohio State University campus location on Father's Day. The lack of customer care, patience, and professionalism I encountered from the Manager on Duty was entirely unacceptable, and doesn't deserve even a half star, but I had to choose one. On Father's Day, my family ordered five bowls, two of which were seasonal bowls made with the original ingredients with the exception of extra lime. One of these bowls was specifically meant for my husband, who is currently in the hospital. I had raved to him about your restaurant, as it was one of the few healthy options he could safely enjoy during his stay. Unfortunately, the meal was prepared with a blatant lack of care. Even after it was made clear that this was a special meal for him, his portion size was equivalent to a half-bowl, and it was entirely missing the onions and tomatoes. Seeking to resolve the issue, I called the restaurant and was placed on hold. When the phone was picked up, the staff member did not offer a greeting, a name, or any indication of who was speaking. I politely stated, "Hi, I was holding for the manager," to which she abruptly replied, "This is." When I asked for her name, her response was unclear and unkind. Despite maintaining a calm and respectful tone while explaining that my husband's hospital meal for Father's Day had been made incorrectly, the manager was immediately combative and argumentative for absolutely no reason. Instead of offering a basic level of customer service or empathy, I was met with disrespect. Your company's mission proudly states: *"We strive to empower people through radical accessibility to natural food."* Unfortunately, the radical lack of care and professionalism I experienced completely contradicts that standard. Because of this deeply disappointing experience, I will no longer be a patron of your establishment. Furthermore, I will not be recommending Roots Natural Kitchen to anyone moving forward, including for any future corporate or community events I coordinate. I hope you address this leadership and service failure with your OSU campus team so that no other customer is treated this way in the future. Sincerely, Latisha Roland
