Best pizza and calzones I've had in the state of Ohio and neighboring Kentucky/Indiana. That have good salads, that someone who understands food came up with. It is NOT just cheese and dressing on iceberg lettuce. I have a signature calzone - black olives, Kalamata olives, and mushrooms. Phenomenal, when dipping your calzone in marinara. I'm not from Cincitucky, and I come from the land of great pizza in the east. And I like Dewey's. I lived in Cincinnati and moved away years later, and Dewey's is one of those places I wish I could have taken with me. And it's inexpensive! A huge calzone and salad for $20 before tax and tip?! They messed up I'm extremely disappointed. My order has been messed up four times in a row, and not once was any real resolution or effort offered to fix it. Mistakes can happen, but four consecutive times shows a serious lack of attention to detail and quality control. To make it worse, this is the only pizza place where I can pick up my order within minutes and the pizza is already cold and hard to eat by the time I get home. It feels like the food has been sitting out long before pickup. Poor consistency combined with no accountability is unacceptable. My first "go to " , every time I land in Cincinnati! I love how fresh the ingredients are on their pizza, and that their pizza dough does not make me feel too full and bloated! Their salads are super fresh and big enough, so we always share the house salad. Service is great and ambience is clean and open. * I have noticed that when ever we eat at the harpers point location their pizza tastes even better and has more toppings than the Kenwood location, so it's almost worth the drive further to Harpers point, just to get the tastier pizza! Unfortunately, we had high expectations on these pizzas. Not sure on all of the raving here? They just didn't do it for us. Dried out thin crust, and not big in taste. Toppings were lame and in quality. Next time probably we'll choose another pizza joint that can 'deliver' in better taste, and that quality for two 13" at over 50 bucks. Always good pizza when we stop in a Dewey's. We were at Kenwood Towne Centre and stopped for some dinner before heading home. My daughter and I decided on salads and splitting a pizza. Came in on a Sunday evening around dinner time and had a short wait. Once we were seated we were taken care of very quickly. We got the harvest salad and did a small create your own pizza. Perfect amount for 2 people to split! And it was delicious. My gf and I are both gluten free (allergy) and our server was great about checking with the kitchen to make sure everything was safe for us. Dewey's has great food, there's never a doubt about that. The pizza toppings are large and plentiful, the cheese is high quality, and the dough is fresh and made throughout the day (you can actually watch into the kitchen to see them make it). What really blew me away about this Kenwood location was the staff. I placed my order over the phone for pickup. When I arrived, the manager came out and told me the pizza was too dark on the bottom for her liking, so they would be remaking it. I didn't mind waiting at all, but she still offered me a drink while I waited, and also told me the order would be on the house. I was blown away and impressed by the courtesy. It didn't take long at all the bring the final pizzas out, and she even gave me the darker pizzas as well for free, saying they would have just been thrown out anyway. I dont think I have ever eaten inside this location, but have utilized it for take out when in the area. On this day I got an email saying that for rewards members, the special Tito Santana Pizza (basically taco pizza) was available a day early!! I was so excited I quickly placed an order by phone! The girl on the phone was super friendly and helpful! I arrived at the time promised for my food. There are a ton of marked parking spaces for curbside pickup. I parked in one of them, called the number on the sign, and my food was brought out promptly! Everything was delicious from my favorite salad, the House, to the Tito Santana pizza. If you get a chance to try the taco pizza for the limited time they have it, usually in May, its a must. We get carryout from Dewey's a lot. I called June 16th around 6pm to place an order. In the middle of my order I burst into tears. I apologized to the gal who answered the call and told her our pup had crossed the rainbow bridge earlier that day. The compassion I got from her was amazing. Family Vacation in Cincinnati! We always find a pizza place and thanks to Yelp, we found one of the BEST pizza places we've ever eaten - DEWEY's!! We got the Don Corleone substituted the salami for bacon and got the Dr. Dre and one half we got Hot Chicken. Let me tell you - this was a game changer!! The hot chicken was sooooo delicious. There's something about the crust at Dewey's that I just LOVE!! The service here is also excellent. The servers we've had here are attentive, efficient, and seem to love their jobs! We tend to build-our-own pizza, and we have to order the 17" so that I can have leftovers for lunch the next day :o) . We also like their salads. We usually split a side house salad, which is so yummy with toasted pine nuts, dried cranberries, and goat cheese. The ingredients are always so fresh!! The pizza has been special in the past. The last time I went, in the Kenwood location it was OK. I got roasted garlic on my veggie pizza less fresh mushrooms and it was ok. I sat at the bar and my view was of the wait station and not really appealing at all. So for what I paid, the atmosphere was 3 stars. I had a couple servers so a bit confusing 3 stars. Decided to drop in after a long day of holiday shopping! I absolutely must commend the staff at this Dewey's pizza what a class act! We received some interruptions from disruptive patrons and the staff handled this very professionally. I must commend them on the food as well. I ordered a Caesar side salad which cost $6.25. It came out and amazed me because it contained a generous serving size for a side salad. Then I came the main dish the pizza. The pizza was absolutely wonderful. The Don Corleone was spicy, salty and savory. Every bite contained a hit of salami, salty ham and cheese. It was delicious and there was the option to enhance the spice level with the red pepper flakes. Next was the South West BBQ chicken. This pizza definitely had more of a sweet element because of the corn and bean combination & the addition of the bbq sauce. Though the flavor wasn't overwhelming. It was delicious and a great addition with the Don Corleone because they balanced each other out. Lastly the desert at the end was delicious. It was served cold but every bit of chocolate warmed the inside. Overall service was great and would recommend this Dewey's. The staff were friendly and quite attentive. Been to this location several times and have always had good service. Dewey's is hands down my favorite speciality pizza in Cincinnati (with two cities pizza in Mason a close second). We ordered the 17" half and half. Edgar Allen Poe (a consistent order for us) and a new try - the Hawaiian. I'm not sure I'd do the Hawaiian again but to be fair, I'm not a huge fan of Hawaiian pizza in general. My husband really liked it tho - a little too sweet for me. We also split a small peppercorn ranch salad. And added bonus - my son has a peanut allergy and he did fine with the pizza and salad. I had called ahead to make sure and was told there aren't peanuts in the kitchen. So. I felt confident to give it a go as a family. We will definitely be back again w our Buddy. read more

We visited Dewey's Pizza on Kenwood Road at 6:15 PM last night. Upon entering we noted quite a few people waiting for a table. We gave the hostess our name and waited. And, waited. And, waited. There were five table open, but no one was being seated. We inquired with the person who appeared to be in charge and she gave us a sharp answer. "You have a half hour wait." We left unlikely to ever return. We understand the staffing problems restaurants are having. So, placate your waiting and hungry customers by walking around with a plate of small squares of pizza or garlic bread. Make us feel welcome and let us see that you're apologetic for being understaffed. We'll stick with you. But, never take your customers for granted. There are plenty of other places that serve pizza. read more
