Have I not left a review for this place yet? They have the best breakfasts biscuit sandwiches. One of these sandwiches can honestly be your lunch as well, I actually buy one and I can have it for breakfast and lunch when I'm in the office. I always get the one that is fully loaded with avocado and all because if you were to get one, skipping on the avocado (if you are an avocado lover) feels like a crime. Additionally, their scones are one of my favorites as well. The scones are moist and so delicious. I almost feel like they bake it on the same baking sheets as their biscuits because there's an extra taste to the edges that I absolutely love. It's so hard to walk by every morning without grabbing a scone, but their price of $5.25 per scone is definitely deterring me a little bit. If you want to try their scones, raspberry is my favorite, but the blueberry lemon, is also very good. read more

food is delicious everytime, love devils teeth, that's why i'm leaving 4 stars. buuuut went to this location for the first time and the customer service was lowkey embarrassing af. asked the girl taking my order to add something to my sandwich, she sighed in my face before following with an "okay". no one is chatting in there, they look like they all hate eachother tbh. as we were leaving my partner and i still said "thank you guys take care"..... no response, not even a look up and a smile. as a person that works in customer service myself i don't really understand why you are working a service job if u don't enjoy the service aspect-- i don't think it's that hard to at least act like you care about random ppl who are tipping u. there is such a joy in working a customer facing job, maybe u guys will actually enjoy ur shifts if u try to connect with community read more

This place is so cute! Tucked away on the sidewalk in a large building. When you walk in you can tell it's chill and friendly. They have other housemade bakery items, and bottled juices as well. I got a coffee, yum! A green juice from the fridge which was good, and their very popular breakfast biscuit sandwich. I got the basic one, no bacon-sub sausage patty, add aioli. So tasty. The biscuit was soft but a little crispy on the outside, and the egg!! So creamy. Definitely want to stop by a location again for that sandwich. read more

A treat for downtown, this is making me want to go into the office! Came here and got the special breakfast sandwich and 2 lemon bars for my friend--he requested them, but I had 1 lol. I love Devils Teeth, but not this location. There's zero seating (not that the OG location has a lot, but at least there's some). If you go inside the mall area there is seating, but no tables and their sandwiches are unwieldy to walk with and eat. Food wise-the other location also seems better to me. We had the breakfast sandwich and a scone, both were good but a little drier than the other location. read more

Service and friendliness 10/10. Cinnamon roll and biscuit sandwich worth the hype? Absolutely!!! Super stoked to have stepped into this specific location and be met with some friendliness and recommendations when it came to what to order. Definitely get the biscuit breakfast sandwich and ask for the hot sauce. The hot sauce brings it to a whole new level. The cinnamon roll must be toasted so the sugar caramelizes. Excited to see a restaurant take over the old Melt venue so quickly. Hearing the praise from my friends in the Avenues, was really stoked to give them a try. While the breakfast sandwiches are excellent, their lunch items are a bit of a mixed bag. Their pastries are all delish though. Tuna Melt: I naively thought their reputation for breakfast sandwiches would translate to lunch sandwiches, but I was wrong. It kinda reminded me of something you'd find in a generic corporate cafeteria. It was more warmed a little rather than toasted/grilled like most tuna melts. No noticeable browned marks anywhere. The tuna salad that they were hyping up kinda just tasted like mayo and little bits of onion. Such a let down. Grilled Cheese: Ok, this was better than the tuna melt. The bread was nice and toasted, like a grilled cheese should be. Got to really appreciate the thick cut of sourdough that had both crispy outsides and fluffy insides. Nice amount of flowing cheese too. Tasted great with the tomato soup. Tomato Soup: A classic pairing for grilled cheese. This had a little extra with some cream, to make it smoother. And some nice herbs too. Special Breakfast Sandwich: While the lunch items were a mixed experienced, the breakfast sandwich was definitely worth the hype! Thick buttermilk biscuit that is a sturdy vehicle for all those eggs. The lemon-garlic aioli and pepperjack cheese add just the right amount of moisture to the biscuit. The bacon is awesome, because it's bacon. Also nice crispy texture to contrast the fluffy eggs. And some avocado, because why not? All the tastes and textures were great together. Carrot Cake: Was digging this cake though. It had lots of rich cream on top. The cake was moist, spiced and had visible shreds of carrots. Quite comforting. Brownie: An extremely rich and gooey brownie, even at room temperature. Very chocolatey. Much more filling that the carrot cakes. Goes really well with coffee. Cinnamon Roll: One of the better cinnamon rolls I've had. No frosting, but there is tons of gooey cinnamon sugar on top, in the middle and below. Really love how the layers are super thin so there are so many different circles wrapped around the middle. And, besides the outer edges, it's really tender. My favorite sweet item by far. read more

Was walking home and remembered that there is a pop-up for the Vacant to Vibrant program with Devil's Teeth. Surprised there wasn't a huge line around lunchtime and decided to try the hyped breakfast sandwich. I subbed bacon for sausage and would say it's a big hearty mess lol. There are no seats so you could walk over to another Embarcadero center and sit on a bench or table. Had nice eggy and lemon aioli flavor but I personally missed hot sauce. Bacon would have also probs added a dimension of saltiness that I feel like the sausage didn't have. read more

A really great breakfast sandwich. Shockingly, the sandwich does not feel as heavy as it may appear because the biscuit was really light. I ordered the special breakfast sandwich and really liked it because of the aioli and avocado - I recommend getting this one! I also tried the beignets (only on Sunday I believe) and they were really good! I usually think beignets are kinda overhyped, but these were good. They are only $1, but are on the smaller side - a nice sweet treat after the savory breakfast sandwich. Definitely need to give this place a try. read more

really wanted to like this place, since this area needs more breakfast places, especially those open on the weekends. First time I tried the breakfast sandwich it was just OK, but decided to give it another try. Today the sandwich biscuit was totally burnt, imo no excuses for seeing this and still wrapping it up and selling it. Will not go back. read more

My biggest problem with Devils Teeth has always been how far it was away from me! Now they opened up this one in the embarcadero, and all bets are off. The hype has been built through the other locations and there's good reason for that. The talk is all about the breakfast sandwich. Yes, it's incredible. It's a mess. It really needs a fork and a knife. The question is If it can qualify as an actual breakfast sandwich given the inconvenience of its nature. Some would say a true breakfast sandwich has to maintain its form. Assuming we call this a breakfast sandwich then it's hard to beat. The other bakery items are high level. On Sunday's they do beignets for $1 each which is just absurd. The cookie was okay, and the cruffin thing was quite impressive. I'm here to confirm devils teeth is the real deal. Get to the closest one near you asap. (4.7 Stars) It has come to my attention that this might be my 100th review. My goodness I eat a lot. See you at 1000. read more

The Special Breakfast Sandwich is of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever tasted! The biscuit was so moist and buttery. They give you a generous amount of avocado and cheese inside too. It's very filling so worth the price. Takes around 10 min to get your sandwich after you order so not too much of a wait, but lines can get long so be prepared! It's a grab and go type place, so no seating inside, but there are a ton of parks (and the Ferry Plaza) nearby if you want to have a little picnic outside with your sandwich :) I need to go back for their $1 beignet Sundays!! read more

So glad I saw the recommendations to come here. Breakfast sandwiches were good but nothing special in my opinion. However I will forever have wonderful memories here enjoying their warm cinnamon roll. It is an experience. I have never had a cinnamon roll like that before and probably won't again unless I come back here. Definitely get you one of those when you visit. The brownie and scone were also great! Perfection! I had really high hopes for this place! I've seen so many great reviews and vids ab it but was disappointed. Each element of the sandwich was decent but as a whole it fell flat. The sandwich was very wet. So wet that it fell apart after the first bite. And I even got the sauce on the side (per other people's recommendation). I really wanted to love it but it was just too much going on at once. The biscuit was delicious but almost too sweet to be paired with the bacon and egg? Avocado didn't do anything but add more wetness/weight to the sandwich and there was sooooo much egg. The staff was nice and the food turned out fast. But there was no seating so we sat on some steps near the restaurant. me and my bestie also had severe tummy issues afterwards :( Maybe we just hit on a bad day?! read more

I got the special breakfast sandwich and I think my blood became 25% more viscous after eating it. Aka it was SO heavy. I don't mind a lot of carbs, but the bread was so dense and it just kinda mushed together with all the ingredients. There was zero lightness to the sandwich or refreshing factor. I didn't even finish it unfortunately. The salsa it came with also didn't add too much to the experience for me. Overall, it wasn't a bad sandwich and I enjoyed it the first few bites, but ultimately I didn't like how it made me feel. 3.5/5 Aside from the food though, service was easy and relatively fast. read more

Got the BLT and a brownie. BLT was a classic sandwich, nothing crazy here but always good. The brownie was melt in your mouth good. Definitely need to try the biscuits next time as that is what they seem famous for. No spot to sit down and eat but you can go into Embarcadero center for seating. read more

I just want to say morning staff on 03/13/25 suuuckkks ! I ordered a side of bacon and they literally handed it to me without a box without a bag . The foil burned my hand hence because it was hot ! I treated myself to a hearty, loaded special breakfast sandwich and beignet on a Sunday morning. I waited in line for about 15 minutes and then waited another 15-20 for the food. I think that's fairly reasonable for a place that's busy on the weekends and makes each sandwich to order. The beignet was light and fluffy, and it came dusted with a lot of powdered sugar. I love a good biscuit and breakfast sandwich so I was so excited when I saw the size of the special breakfast sandwich. It was packed with a couple slices of bacon and healthy servings of egg and avocado. I needed to take a break halfway through the sandwich because it was just that filling! Definitely take a couple of salsas on the side for some added spice. Such a delicious way to start my Sunday! read more

My friend got this to go and we brought it to the beach to eat. It was an easy food to take on the go but it can get a little messy so make sure to have napkins on hand. It would have probably been better fresh and hot but the sandwich still tasted good. The texture was a bit squishy and the biscuit got soggy since it was to go. read more

Devil's Teeth near Embarcadero has some pretty tasty breakfast sandwiches. I got a regular breakfast sandwich and the biscuit was light and fluffy. The breakfast sandwich comes with salsa so you can dip your sandwich in for added spice. While you wait for your order, you can take a look around the bookstore inside. The sandwich was a pricy but overall great eat. read more

We also enjoyed their special breakfast sando- the biscuit was buttery, and had just the right ratio of avocado to egg with a creamy aoli sauce. My friend works near this Devil's Teeth Bakery temporary location in Embarcadero One and has been frequenting it. It shares a storefront with Green Apple Books, a San Francisco bookstore institution located on Clement St. This temporary location is one of nine businesses that opened in downtown San Francisco through a city program called Vacant to Vibrant, where City financial assistance grants are given to businesses to take over vacant store fronts to revitalize the area and promote economic recovery. I just heard on the news that they will extend their leases until at least March. My friend got me the Regular Breakfast Sandwich. It consists of two scrambled eggs, bacon and cheddar cheese on a buttermilk biscuit. This was a hefty breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. You can taste the quality of the sandwich. No fast food breakfast sandwich here. Hope to be able to check out the restaurant soon and check out their other offerings maybe try the Special Breakfast Sandwich. read more

These breakfast sandwiches are hyped up and for good reason. I've never been a big breakfast sandwich person, but I LOVE these: the buttery and flakey biscuit, tangy and rich aioli, hefty serving of avocado, and thick cut bacon. It all goes together so well-- you don't even need their house-made hot sauce. They make beignets on Sundays which are $1/donut and also pretty delicious. No seating inside this location but you can find seats in the Embarcadero centers. Usually staff is super nice, but one week they were so rude. Don't know what was up with that. read more

The pastries are all flaky and crispy, and you can tell they were crafted by a true craftsman. I think what makes Juniper so special is the selection of unique flavors they have. My favorite being their award-winning Cubano croissant, their black sesame kouign amann, and their choux pastries. I do want to call out how much I appreciate the amount of savory pastries they have since I don't always want a sweet treat the moment I wake up. To note, Juniper is typically busy, but I have never waited in line for more than 10 minutes, even on weekends. They also have a lot of tables for seating, but because of the flow of people, it might be difficult to find a spot. Stop by here if you're around the area! They are also a sister shop of Saint Frank, so you can get some coffee while you're here as well.

The interior is more industrial and small and definitely more of a grab and go, or sit down for a quick few bites type of vibe. My friend and i got a few things to try, but the standouts were the mulberry danish, and the kimchi bacon Danish. All the pastries were crisp, with many buttery layers and were clearly well made but these two had the most flavor and stood out as offerings that are a bit more unique compared to other bakeries in the city. We also tried the black sesame kouign amann, which was more reminiscent of a morning bun type pastry, and the cubano and the ham and cheese croissants, which were good but just lacking a little in flavor. Overall, Juniper has excellent pastries, and I'll definitely be sure to grab a plain croissant next time to try it out as well - some pastries pack a bit more flavor than others but given how quickly the like moves I'll definitely be back again to try some of their othering offerings soon!

They used a strawberry cream top instead of a puree, which I actually enjoyed. It added a nice creaminess to the drink, and the matcha was very smooth and strong. It worked well together. I also tried their double hojicha, and while I enjoyed how nutty and strong the hojicha was, I did find it a little bit grainy. I wish it was a little smoother like the matcha was. I usually don't drink/like coffee, but the guava cold brew sounded so interesting I couldn't resist. The fruity jasmine tea somehow paired so well with the coffee and made it a nice refreshing drink. I was also lucky enough to try the matcha crepe cake, which I believe they get from Lady M. It had really nice layers and was light, but unfortunately it was a little too sweet for me. Overall a very solid matcha/coffee option in SF. They have a beautiful interior too, perfect for catching up with friends. Servers were sweet as well!
