This place is a sleeper. Located right outside of Parc 55 they come stacked with coffee, drinks, snacks and dessert. We got bagel breakfast sandwiches and coffees and it set up back about $36. Not cheap, but also for the area the convenience is worth the cost. For the dessert lovers, this is the place to come to grab slices of cake or cheesecake. It's a STEAL. $7 per slice. Walking around looking for breakfast. We were going to go to McDonald's and looked across the street at this cute little hole in the wall breakfast and bakery spot. The bakery items were beautiful and the breakfast sandwiches we got were delicious. We got cream cheese, tomato and cucumber on a sesame bagel and a ham and cheese on a croissant. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. read more

The sandwiches were very good. The service was also very good, quick, and helpful. Although the drinks were not very good and the crepe was tough I do think it would've been very good if it was cooked less. But the inside was nice and we were able to sit in. I went to this little hole in the wall spot since it was close to my hotel. I just needed something to drink and substantial but quick bite to eat so I could do some work. The people behind the counter were not just nice but incredibly sweet and pretty much had a positive answer to anything I said. I asked if they could do a pastrami, egg, and cheese bagel (everything bagel) sandwich and they said yes without batting an eye. It took about 5 minutes for them to whip up. I also got an almond pastry and a vanilla iced latte with oat milk. For being such a small deli style establishment the vanilla iced latte was really good. Pastrami, egg, and cheese was still piping hot when I got back to my hotel and had an amazing flavor throughout. They did not skimp on the cheese like I liked. The pastrami was good but not great but it went well with the sandwich. Almond pastry was full of almond flavor but not really sure what it was because I asked the guy behind the counter to just give me anything he recommended that was sweet. read more

This place is wack. You are all crazy. The bacon egg and cheese bagel was microwaved trash with raw chopped up bacon in it. The guy running the place was like a cabbie with an earbud in his ear. This is a super cute street cafe that sells sweets and snacks. We were in San Francisco for a few days and we came here everyday to get cheesecake and pastries. I work in the square and I am always excited for a new lunch spot to pop up. I got the marinated chicken sandwich on Dutch. Best sandwich I've had in the square in some time. Cute little shop on the corner. The pastry was yummy and the coffee was stout. They used plastic cups that I guess got warped from the heat of the coffee maker. It caused the lids not to go on correctly which made it difficult to walk around the city with. read more

This Cafe was right outside our door staying at the Parc 55 hotel and I think we went there at least once on every day of our trip. We would grab a coffee and a pastry in the morning, a snack in the afternoon, or a sweet treat before heading up to our room for the night. The variety of baklavas and other treats were great and I loved my morning mocha lattes. They would also have big cups of fresh cut fruit daily... the perfect healthy snack. We probably met most of the staff over our visit and they were all friendly and nice to chat with. It's nothing I would go our of my way for, but the convenience was amazing and we were so happy to have them right outside our door. read more

I fell in love with this place. We were here for four straight mornings about a month ago. My favorite was the bagel with cream cheese, tomato, onion, and cucumber. I have to shout out the Turkish delight too! My husband is Armenian so we eat a lot of middle eastern type foods, but this Turkish delight was insanely good! We even called to ask where they get it from and it's imported from a company on Turkey. Rats. Otherwise, it was always quick and the good we tried was tasty! read more

Well, you'd probably do what I did and check out a few restaurants close to the wedding hotel (to make things convenient for the out-of-town guests), send out some e-mails with a rough idea of what we were looking for, check if they have an appropriately sized private room for the date and times in question, and wait for the data to roll in. When all of that was crystallized, we had a clear choice - Roma Antica. Banquet Manager Andrea was quite responsive and answered our questions as we exchanged e-mails over a ten-week period. We held our dinner in the Baccio Room which served us well and even had a private bathroom for our guests. We ended up choosing a Prix Fixe dinner with four appetizers served family style, two pizzas, six entrees (ordered individually by our guests), and four desserts also served family style. We also had access to the Children's menu, and drinks were rolled up into our master bill. The food was great. The appetizers included meatballs, calamari, Caesar Salad, and Eggplant Parmigiana. The two pizzas were cheese and sausage. Our six entrees were Sausage Rigatoni, Mediterranean Sea Bass, Chicken Parmigiana, Mushroom Ravioli, Pesto Gnocchi, and Oxtail Pappardelle. The desserts were Tiramisu, Pannacotta, Biscottis, and Pistachio Cake. My favorite appetizers were the meatballs and calamari. My Sea Bass with potatoes and roasted vegetables entrée was excellent. My cocktail of choice was an Aperol Spritz. It was stronger than I expected but was a great combination of Aperol, Prosecco, Soda Water and Orange Juice. One unexpected highlight was a serenade by a server named Flavio. He must have had operatic training because he led us in a rousing sing along rendition of "Nel blu, dipinto di blu", better known as Volare. He dedicated it to my son and his fiancée who were married the next day. I just did a search for the English translation of the Italian lyrics, and found this phrase: "Singing, oh, oh, oh, oh! In the blue painted sky Happy to be up there" That kind of says it all about our experience at Roma Antica.

The pastries are all flaky and crispy, and you can tell they were crafted by a true craftsman. I think what makes Juniper so special is the selection of unique flavors they have. My favorite being their award-winning Cubano croissant, their black sesame kouign amann, and their choux pastries. I do want to call out how much I appreciate the amount of savory pastries they have since I don't always want a sweet treat the moment I wake up. To note, Juniper is typically busy, but I have never waited in line for more than 10 minutes, even on weekends. They also have a lot of tables for seating, but because of the flow of people, it might be difficult to find a spot. Stop by here if you're around the area! They are also a sister shop of Saint Frank, so you can get some coffee while you're here as well.

It's also in an area where you can shop around (across the street) if you want to grab a bite as well. Our go to orders include the Mocha Dream Espresso Cloud and the Nitro Mango, but we have also gotten the Hojicha Cloud, which is amazing as well. Stopped by Mellie's Cafe in San Francisco and honestly it was a solid experience all around. Food came out fresh, portions were good, and the staff made you feel welcomed the second you walked in. As I walked toward the back, I noticed some of the items they had on display behind the counter. They offer various Turkish delights, including baklava, which I am familiar with. I was tempted to try a pistachio-flavored delight, but I resisted to avoid extra calories.
