Small local cozy coffee house - stopped by while in town for a quick trip. Coffee was GREAT! Service was fast & friendly! Also had a yummy cheese danish. Highly recommend this local family owned business!
This was an unexpected delight. Located next to Berber barber shop, this is the perfect stop off point either before your man's haircut or while you're waiting. Small, and cute. Decor has a cherry blossom tree and a few bar top style seats if you wanted to eat here. Here's what we got: 1. BBQ Pork Bahn Mi - 5/5 - perfect ratio of fatty pork with sriracha is the best way to start the day. 2. BBQ Chicken Bahn Mi- 5/5 - this was enjoyed more without the sriracha. They are $7.99 each which is a STEAL for the city. You can tell the French loafs are fresh: a key constituent in a bomb bahn mi. I would come back just for the bread alone.
Stopped into this tiny little coffee shop 10 minutes after they opened & there was already a line out the door. Got a latte that was tasty and a few croissants. There were a few tables inside and out, but the space is small. Service was friendly and efficient. They are clearly a local favorite & I can see why!
viet iced coffee wasn't as sweet as other places! it was only $5.45. there's plenty of other cheap foods and drinks too, e.g. $7.99 banh mis, $5+ breakfast sandwiches, $6+ smoothies...
Checked out Fresh Brew Coffee on a Sunday morning -- it was pretty busy with a small line forming inside. The vibes reminded me of a classic deli with dependable, no-frills sandwich options. Their Vietnamese iced coffee was a miss for me, but I'm hoping their other coffee drinks fare better. - Bacon Egg & Cheese Sandwich -- butter-toasted bread, crispy bacon, and a well-balanced egg & cheese combo - Ham Egg & Cheese Croissant -- crispy toasted croissant with nicely melted cheese over ham & egg - Vietnamese Iced Coffee -- unfortunately a big miss; the flavor was so off that I couldn't finish it Service was impressively fast despite the morning rush -- we got our food and drinks in short order. There are a handful of seats inside if you want to dine in, but it's also a perfect grab-and-go spot. Ambience was cozy and bustling on a wintry SF morning. Note: they prefer cash and there's a surcharge for card payments. If you're in SF and craving a great breakfast sandwich to kick off your day, Fresh Brew Coffee has got you covered!

Prices for the food is very reasonable and the Bahn Mi is on point. Some of the best I have had and only $8 at this time. Get the bahn mi!!! It's so odd but so true that some of the best bahn mi aren't at Vietnamese restaurants but randomly at little coffee and donut shops run by Vietnamese people. The bread is perfectly crunchy and all the ingredients are very tasty and fresh. Sandwich packs a nice punch at a great affordable price.
Cute little grab and go sandwich shop that offers coffee, bagels, banh mis, and smoothies. I ordered the Banh Mi combo with extra jalapeños and was pleasantly surprised on how yummy it was. The bread is soft and crunchy and meat was flavorful. The guy who mans the register and makes the sandwich was nice. Interior feels like a neighborhood grab and go, which is something I like. Will be coming back!
Honestly, I would come here every day for the banh mi. Compared to places in the TL, the portion of meat is less per order for around 50 cents to 1 buck more. I don't mind that in my opinion because I like my banh mis on the lighter side rather with good amount of veg which this sandwich has! Unfortunately, the Viet coffee was a bit watery.
I live blocks away and this is a San Francisco treasure! I love (who I presume to be) the husband-wife duo. The banh mi was very reasonably-priced and filling. I also enjoyed my iced Vietnamese coffee and have at other times gotten the Sausage egg and cheese on everything bagel breakfast sandwich. Very flavorful and well-cooked. It seems like a real neighborhood joint--there's a little seating inside and outside, and the clientele seems diverse. You have construction workers, tourists, locals, families, older women with dogs...everyone was friendly, not just the staff! A class from the nearby Cathedral School for Boys visited (not when I've been there) and left a Thank You for the owner who showed them how to make smoothies (I need to come back to try a smoothie.)
I walked down from my home to try this location. I didn't eat my sandwich right away. I ordered the steam pork with pate sandwich. The first bite, I know I will be back. Service is quick and it looks like a number of people live in the neighborhood. The ambiance is warm and friendly. My sandwich was $7.99! Support this small family run business.
Husband found this hidden gem for a quick breakfast before starting our day in SF. We got the Veggie Bahn Mi and Pork Bahn Mi and both were extremely fresh tasting, the bread was perfectly crispy and easy to bite into. The owner is super sweet too.

The breakfast plater, breakfast sandwiches and subs are fresh and really good. Hot coffee and cold coffee are fresh. Only two people are working here but they are fast at serving the food( unless you are behind a big group/order ). We like it so much that we ordered breakfast again the next day and even took subs for to go. It was our daughter who picked this place by looking up in yelp. They really serve good food here. They deserve their rating. We will come back again only if you are close to our place. Keep up the good work ! You guys are the best! read more

SOLID place in the neighborhood to get morning banh mi & coffee! they serve consistently tasty foods & it can get quite busy--today i arrived around 7:30am and there was a line out the door. i was able to order my grilled chicken banh mi + hot coffee within 10 minutes of waiting; my sandwich was ready in about 7 minutes. thankfully i wasn't in a rush, and it's worth the wait for Fresh Brew Coffee! my order came out to ~$11.50 for the chicken banh mi and a medium coffee w/ oat milk. NOTE: they prefer cash!!! but do accept card/digital payment with a 50¢ fee. i wanted jalapeños in my banh mi; they're pretty good about asking if you want them or not. the bbq chicken banh-mi was hot and tasty, and came with a balancing amount of pickled veggies. bread used was also perfectly fluffy inside with a nice crunchy toasted exterior they additionally serve american-style breakfast sandwiches with bread/croissant/bagels options, breakfast sweets, and espresso-based beverages. i have yet to ask if they have non-dairy condensed milk for the vietnamese iced coffee (will inquire about that during my next visit, because i'm sure their vietnamese iced coffee is yummyy) service was quick and to-the-point andd i didnt feel rushed at all, despite how busy they were. i took my order to-go today but there is (limited) seating available inside and also outside the entrance. 5 stars all around, Fresh Brew Coffee is such a gem of a small-business to have in downtown SF read more
Found this spot on our SF trip for a quick breakfast and so glad we did. The banh mi is delicious! We tried the chicken banh mi and the pork & pate banh mi. Bread was crunchy on the outside and buttery soft inside. Coffees were delicious too. Highly recommend. read more

My boyfriend loves this spot, so we frequently stop here for lunch, and it's actually such a gem. They have so much more than coffee, despite what the name would suggest. Banh Mi might be one of my favorite foods, and this spot makes great ones for very reasonable prices. I've had both the Grilled Chicken and Grilled Pork ones, and the baguettes are great and toasted to perfection -- they really elevate the sandwich. They have such a big menu, so I want to try more of their sandwiches, pastries, and smoothies. Table seating is limited, but this is more of a pick-up lunch spot. I believe it's is family-owned, and they're really nice and pleasant. read more

Not too shabby of a banh mi here. Had the combination one. Warm, crispy bread. The real star is the deli meat; very tender as if it was freshly sliced! Downside is that the whole sandwich is a bit bland; the pickled veggies aren't much pickly at all and the meat doesn't have a lot of flavor either. Skimpy on the pate. Also had a cafe au lait; doesn't taste anything special. Very friendly staff. Seems like there are loyal customers here as the staff greeted some folks on a first name basis. Chill small bodega cafe vibes. Overall not a bad spot if you're already in the area and need a banh mi/coffee pick-me-up. read more

Cute little mom and pop shop that has a lot of options when it comes to sandwiches, drinks, and breakfast food. There's usually a lot of people there when I go and space is limited for seating. The family who owns this is super nice and they always know to get my Vietnamese iced coffee ready when I come. Parking isn't that bad. If you want to park in front, there's meters. If you park one street up on Pine, there are no meters. When I come here, I usually get the Vietnamese iced coffee and the Combination Pork + Pate Banh Mi. Beware, the Vietnamese iced coffee is strong but very good! When I'm done drinking it, I feel all types of jittery but I like the feeling. Sometimes I do crash hard with it tho since it is very strong at first. The Combination Pork + Pate Banh Mi is really well priced at $7.49. It comes with a lot of meat and is super delicious. This is my go-to food item whenever I'm here. read more

Ok. So I searched all morning for a breakfast spot on Yelp that was not too far from me in the Financial District, but was quick, but also had the bagel I wanted (lox), but also served coffee. Ta-da! This was the winner. AND A WINNER IT WAS. Great customer service, food and drinks were banging, and modestly priced?! Count me in. I'm going back tomorrow prob. Also, I parked on the street and I paid $0.25 for half an hour. The spot is small with 2 2tops inside and a few outdoor seating options. We got ours to go. Oh! And they prefer cash but do accept credit. Please support this small business, you won't regret it. read more

We came here for some coffee before brunch and ended up ordering a pork banh mi unexpectedly because it looked delicious! Our expectations were met because this banh mi was full of meat and veggies, the bun was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft throughout, and the pork was juicy and tender, although a bit fatty. My boyfriend got the Vietnamese iced coffee, too, which was also good, but not the strongest we've had (which might be a good option for those who like the taste of Vietnamese iced coffee but want a less strong coffee flavor). Overall, a great little spot for coffee and sandwiches! read more
