Are you kidding?! I just found this place while browsing yelp for a quick bite. This cafe is a walk-up window where you order to go, they do have a few tables outside to stand at, but no seating. Not a problem for me! I ordered the egg and cheese croissant and my goodness it was delicious! The croissant was super flaky and buttery and I love that the eggs were freshly prepared. I've walked by Cafe Me quite a few times but didn't realize it because it's slightly hidden between two office buildings. Memories of pre-pandemic. I visited this cafe for a quick bagel lunch then. Recently I was in the area, and remembered it. Without office workers, it was quiet nearby. Luckily they were open. Sometimes you want breakfast at any time. Their English muffin with egg and cheese is great! The cheese is melted perfectly and the egg is delicious. Great place for a quick bite. I woke up in my hotel really early and was craving something to eat. Cafe Me wasn't far from me and they were open at 5:30am. They can be a little difficult to find because it's a small place. The menu is simple and the service is really friendly. Cafe Me has a variety of breakfast sandwiches on bagel, croissant, toast or english muffin. I got the sausage and egg sandwich and it came out hot and fast. I like that they cut them in half for you. Tiny little cafe tucked in between the brick walls of the corporate buildings. I'm sure they make a killing off of all the workers in the area. I've been here 2x now for breakfast sandwiches . They have a pretty good menu with lots of variety and some specialities too. I have only order the #2 sausage egg and cheese on a croissant (which seems to be a fan fav). Super small breakfast sandwich joint. Quite well hidden from the nearby street as it's in a side passageway. Amazingly tasty breakfast sandwiches handcrafted to order! Pastrami! Pastrami!: I've eaten a lot of breakfast sandwiches over the years and this is the first time I've had a pastrami breakfast sandwich. It was basically like a regular pastrami sandwich, but with a fried egg in between. They actually did a great job on symmetry with each side having cheese melded to the bread, pastrami next the cheese and the egg resting between two hunks of pastrami. Also, I like how the rye bread was lightly toasted, but not like crunchy toasted. Very filling. It's kinda perfect for midweek brunch to go. English Muffin Sandwich w/ Sausage: Not as original as the Pastrami! Pastrami!. In fact, it was like a riff on McDonald's Sausage Egg & Cheese McMuffin. Except way better! For starters, their egg just tastes fresher and more egg-like. Their English muffin is also fresher. Their sausage seems higher quality. And their cheese seems more ample and runnier. And the best part, it was about on par with McDonald's prices (at least in San Francisco McDonald's). Everything Bagel Sandwich w/ Ham: The bagel was a tad dry. Also didn't seem as chewy as great bagels should be. But the everything spices were tasty. And, as always, the filling part of egg and gooey cheese was on point. The ham was a hearty meaty choice. Croissant Sandwich w/ Bacon: Reminds me of those similar sandwiches at Dunkin Donuts, except way better. The croissant tasted fresh from a bakery, not packed with preservatives and pulled from a plastic bag. The egg and cheese were good as always. I found this place over Yelp and you know when it's a hole in the wall with a nearly 5 star rating that you have to try it. It took me 2 mornings to figure out where it was because I kept walking by it without seeing it and then giving up, but I'm glad I found it! I love breakfast sandwiches and croissant sandwiches always steal the show. For less than $7, I got a bacon, egg and cheese croissant sandwich that was so delicious that I nearly inhaled the thing on the spot. The service was so joyous and friendly that I know I'm going to want to return here. It's not often you find a place that doesn't cost you at least $10 without tip for something as simple as a breakfast sandwich and you have to fight to get what you ordered just right, but Cafe Me really just brightened my morning. I usually don't eat breakfast, but I can see myself making Cafe Me a regular part of my routine at least on a bi-weekly (if not weekly) basis. Their pastrami sandwich is also an A+! I had ordered it with the sourdough bread, which was perfectly toasty and flavorful. Great find tucked away down an alley. Luckily there are chalkboards on the sidewalk to mark their territory, but blink and you will pass right by and miss out on some remarkable breakfast sandwiches. Had the egg, cheese, and corned beef on a croissant. The croissant is $1 extra, but adds a little buttery goodness and soft chewy texture to a very good sandwich. This is basically an excellent corned beef sandwich disguised with the aid of a fried egg hat and croissant clothing. I'd call this a must for a hearty breakfast sandwich. The egg, sausage, and cheese on a muffin is exactly like the McDonalds version, only tasting home made and with a slightly peppery sausage patty that your mouth will be doing a happy dance for. The tiny shop is about a third of the size of a shipping container and that includes the kitchen, drink coolers, and a little standing room. Finding places like this remind me how much I love breakfast sandwiches! :-) read more

Café me is right across from the USCIS building on Sansome St and very close to the Transamerica building. Although this is a small café, it gets heavy foot traffic. Sometimes I see a line and skip getting coffee, but the times I chose to stand behind a few people the line moves very quickly. They have great breakfast options and serve fresh coffee. The prices are also VERY reasonable compared to your local favorites. = ) They have a great selection of premade lunches that is quick and convenient if you are on the go. The staff provides great customer service. The seating outside is limited to a few tables, but that's all you really need. Overall, I am very satisfied with getting my coffee here as they have cane sugar and I am charged less then $2.50 for my cup! Love it. Stop by, you will not regret it. read more

I headed toward the corner of Washington & Sansome, and a cheerful sign guided me down a little alley. I went with the egg and cheese on a croissant, and added on a cup of orange juice. Preparation was quick, only about 2 minutes. There were people seated at each of the two tables outside, so I took my sandwich across the street to the park by the Transamerica building. The sandwich was still hot. Fresh cooked egg, stringy cheese, light crunch on the toasted croissant that had good structure (not a soggy mess as some croissant sandwiches can become). The OJ was fine, enjoyable. This place is a little outside my normal path, but now that I have discovered it, I may detour here from time to time. I am curious to try some of the other options. read more

This is interesting. Cafe Me is hidden betwixt some buildings on the corner of its street. It was literally around the corner from us and took us forever to find. The signs on either corner of the alcove where it sits are supposed to alert us to it, but it not as visible. That being said, it is a nice breakfast place. It can be a bit pricey for some items. So, for instance, the boyfriend had a bagel with cream cheese and lox that was over $10, but he said it was the best of its kind that he has ever had. He isn't quite sure as to what ingredient made it so tasty, but he enjoyed it very much. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on sourdough and it was good, very well presented. I would definitely go there again simply because the owners were friendly upon our arrival which was not the same for those in the Specialtys down the road. read more
