Blueberry Brioche, and they have a great display of freshly made pastries.

Happy that this was adjacent to our hotel and quite the busy spot for a Saturday morning. The dripped Coffee was delicious, they have quite the variety and make their own chai, enjoy it hot, cold or dirty. :) Food is fairly priced and certainly cheaper than hotel rates. Good hours and certainly well placed next to the SFMOMA. Inside was clean and cleaned up quickly to welcome guests. It can be good for groups if you arrive together. Seating for 1-2, 3-4, and larger tables. We would definitely visit again.

the newest and most spacious Jane location in sf! it's located in sfmoma and has tons of seating as well as free wifi. I tried their special iced strawberry matcha ($8) and was disappointed as the matcha was weak and the strawberry puree was so tangy and not sweet. overall it was very milky. I usually love their lattes so I'll give this the benefit of doubt but they should stick to coffee :")

Brunchfast served all day long everyday for the win! Located inside the SFMoma this was a great place to have a meal after we finished checking out the KAWS exhibit. * My bf got the Epic Combo consisting of two eggs (scrambled), one slice french toast, sausage or bacon (sausage) and potatoes for $18. * I got the Spicy Baked Eggs with two eggs, spicy tomato and black bean stew, cheddar cheese, cilantro and toast for $16. * We also got coffee cake, KAWS ginger cookie, coffee and an orange San Pellegrino. They had some cute Jane the Bakery stickers that were free. No line when we went to place our order, given a number for our table and the food and drinks came out fast. The spicy baked eggs is a favorite of mine when I come to Jane. We were pleasantly surprised when my bfs dish came out because the French toast looked AMAZING and was so delicious!

Jane on Third is located on the first floor of SFMOMA, no museum ticket required, no reservations, walk-ins only. Due to the proximity to the Moscone Center, this Jane (there are multiple in the Bay Area) can get crowded with convention and conference participants. Seating options are generous, including two dining areas and a bar overlooking the kitchen. Baked goods are a delight, including a variety of cookies large enough to share. My favorite salads are the Niçoise and the roasted salmon. Salad serving sizes vary based on the preparer; generally, they are large enough to take some home. A luncheon with Jane is a great escape from the office, a mini vacay if you will, with lots of good (sometimes international) people watching available, given the often-diverse conventioneers. Browse the Museum Store on your way out for a few more minutes of distraction before heading back to complete the afternoon.

This is a beautiful, clean and spacious cafe built into MoMa. There's plenty of seating and they have a vast menu of drinks, full lunch options, and light bites and pastries. The service is pretty fast and they constantly made sure that every table was cleared and cleaned for new patrons. I stayed to have my delicious salmon bowl and iced matcha latte and work on my laptop for a little bit. It's a treat to find a cafe where you can work, has clean restrooms, and has a great food menu. Jane On Third checks all these boxes.

Wonderful service and space. Shoutout to manager Chris! I hosted a large group here last-minute and ran up a big tab during Super Bowl week, and they handled it with ease and grace. Great location in the MoMa, I feel like I remember going to the restaurant here when I was a kid. It's light and airy, easily accessible by bike or transit. Baked goods were delicious! They had I heart SF and football cookies for the Super Bowl. Matcha and lattes were delicious and creamy. Good quality. A friend liked their sandwich. Lots of seating in the back too. Free WiFi from the museum, no login needed. Will be back for sure!

Stopped by for olive polenta bread and a cold drink. Cute cafe in the SFMOMA but open to the public. Great place to get a bite and recharge before you set off for more adventures.

This cafe is located inside the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. I can't believe I didn't notice that this was here during our last visit to MOMA. We were here to check out the KAWS family exhibit. We haven't ate all morning so we decided to check out Jane. You have to enter through the MOMA main entrance and go towards your right. There aren't any menus on the wall, but they did place the menu on a table right before you stand in line. The prices were reasonable. There is plenty of seating and you just seat yourself before (if you're with another person) or after you order. There were plenty of options on the menu. From avocado toasts, sandwiches, to all day breakfast. I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and a KAWS gingerbread cookie (super cute!!!) and my man ordered the breakfast plate with French toast and s'mores tart. My breakfast burrito tasted really good, except it fell apart after my first bite. I had to eat the rest with a fork lol. My man's let me have a bite of his French toast and it was AMAZING! The gingerbread cookie was definitely one of the best I've ever tried and we loved s'more's tart. You can't just have 1 bite. The service was great. Staff were friendly and we didn't wait long for our food. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to grab a bite to eat. You don't need museum tickets to eat here either.

I can see most everyone else liked Jane on Third but I tho k I made a bad choice for lunch today. I love the Vietnamese sandwiches banh mi do I ordered that and I was very disappointed. I assumed incorrectly it would be on a soft roll but it was on a very hard baguette. It was almost 100% made if big chi had of chicken that kept falling out of the bun, almost no daikon of carrot which is my favorite part. It was awful. My husband fared better with a salmon salad bowl. It was quite good and he shared with me. We had to wait a long time for the food. People are saying the service was good which I don't really understand. We waited in a pretty line to order. We got water ourselves. Food was dropped off after a long wait and tables were cleaned very quickly. There wasn't really any service. I will just get a pastry if I go back.

Finally, a new cafe in Soma that is open on the weekends... and it's Jane nonetheless! I have always been a fan of Jane's other locations for breakfast/pastries, so I was thrilled to see this new location on Third attached to the MOMA. The interior: modern/sleek, casual, and PLENTY of seating. Not loud, great for getting work done or catching up with friends. The service: quick and efficient. You order at the counter, they hand you a table number stand, you seat yourself at a table, and they bring the food out to you. The food: equally as good as the other Jane locations and reasonably priced. I ordered the Egg White Panini (dine in) and a Matcha Latte (to go). The Egg White Panini always hits the spot when I want something clean and filling. Jane's freshly baked sourdough bread is also incredible. For the Matcha Latte, the alternative milk options are the same as their other locations, oat or almond. Needless to say, I will be a regular here!

Date of visit: 12/1/2025 We visited Jane on Third on a Monday afternoon with my friend. We got latte and sat in the dining room. The latte was nice and we had a great time!

Ok this bakery hidden inside the SFMOMA has yummy chocolate chip toffee cookies and also an apricot and raspberry cookie tart very similar to the Pepperidge farm cookies we grew up with one 80's!!

Um cuttteee. This is a coffee shop inside the SF MOMA. My favorite part were the KAWS gingerbread cookies! They offer coffee and pastries as well as fresh baked breads that are 1st come first serve. The coffee is solid I really liked it. Smooth and robust. But what really brought me over were the KAWS gingerbread cookies which taste wise weren't that great but cute none the less!

I'm always hunting for spots like this because I have a weakness for those over-the-top, Instagram-worthy desserts that look like diabetes in a dish. Like most places in this genre, A Buttercup is small, modern, and minimalist with limited seating. If you plan to go, aim for off-hours unless you enjoy waiting in line for sugar. The decor is cute and trendy, perfect for photos if that's part of your dessert ritual. As they say, "you eat with your eyes first," and when it comes to presentation, this place definitely gets an A+. The desserts look stunning and set high expectations. Unfortunately, that's where things started to crumble. It's like going to see your favorite artist live. You've watched the videos, memorized the songs, and paid for the experience. But instead of the electric performance you imagined, you get someone lip-syncing and barely connecting with the crowd. That was this place in dessert form. We ordered the Mango Bingsoo on our first visit, and when it arrived, we were surprised by how small the portion was. The guy next to us even looked over and said, "Whatever that is, I'm getting that next time." He shouldn't have. The Bingsoo looked great but was bland, and the "snow" was more chunky ice than soft shave. The Thai Tea Roti was also not what I expected. It came with Thai tea ice cream and sauce alongside a roti that was fried to a crunch. Interesting idea, just not the best execution. The sauce and ice cream needed a stronger Thai tea flavor to balance the crispy roti, and the flavors never quite came together. Overall, A Buttercup nails the aesthetics but misses the flavor. If you're here for the photos, you'll be happy. If you're here for the taste, you'll leave with a full camera roll and an unsatisfied sweet tooth.

Despite not being super traditional, I still really enjoyed the treat. With the chocolate chip cookie, I loved the giant chunks of semi-sweet dark chocolate embedded within it. I appreciate that the cookie itself wasn't overly sweet. The store is larger than it looks with some seating along the sides and back. I opted a small cup of the lychee black tea and auntie Kendra's garden. The lychee black tea was INCREDIBLE, strong, strong tea and fruit flavor, perfectly creamy, and not too sweet. The more memorable of the two, however, was definitely Auntie Kendra. It was a vanilla base with salty plum juice, passion fruit, and preserved lemon peel. The delicate vanilla, the lemon aroma without the sour tang, the floral, exotic passion fruit, and the unexpected punch of salt and earthiness from the plum juice, this is a WHOPPER of a flavor. Every bite allowed me a new appreciation of the layers of flavors in this scoop. While a bit pricy, Garden creamery is on par with the other local ice cream spots in SF and well, the flavors and my enjoyment of them speak for themselves. I will definitely be making more trips out here to try their other flavors!

Kiss of Matcha is a dessert café centered around matcha-based drinks and Japanese-inspired sweets…read more We walked into a cozy, compact space with a focus on matcha flavors, offering everything from soft serve and parfaits to lattes, hojicha drinks, and small desserts. The concept works well for anyone looking for a place that treats matcha as the main ingredient rather than just adding it as a trendy flavor, and the energy of the shop stays calm and inviting, making it a good spot for a focused dessert stop. The biggest highlight is the matcha soft serve, which has a stronger tea flavor compared to many sweeter matcha desserts. We ordered a cup and found the flavor leaning slightly earthy and bitter, giving it a more authentic matcha profile while still staying creamy and approachable. The Kiss of Matcha Parfait is another standout, combining different textures with matcha, toppings, and dessert elements that make it feel more complete than a simple scoop. The layers of the parfait were well composed, with the matcha soft serve, mochi, and crunchy elements coming together in a way that kept each bite interesting. The hojicha options are also worth trying if you prefer a roasted tea flavor that is smoother and less intense, and the hojicha soft serve offered a warm, toasted note that contrasted nicely with the brighter matcha. The menu has a nice mix of drinks and desserts, with items like croffles, mochi, and dango adding more variety beyond the usual matcha latte. The croffle is a good pairing with the drinks since the crisp texture works well with the richer flavors, and we found it held up well against the cream and toppings. There are also non-matcha options like vanilla soft serve, which makes it easier to visit with a group where everyone has different preferences, and the variety across the menu gives you room to explore beyond the matcha offerings. The space is smaller, so it feels more like a quick dessert stop rather than a place to spend hours. Seating is limited, but the cozy decoration and outdoor seating options make it a comfortable spot to enjoy your order when space is available. The indoor area is thoughtfully arranged, and the outdoor seating adds a nice option for warmer days. Service can vary depending on how busy it gets, but the overall experience is centered more around the quality of the desserts, and the staff are friendly and efficient when handling the flow of orders. Kiss of Matcha is a strong choice for matcha lovers looking for desserts with a deeper tea flavor. The combination of quality matcha, creative dessert options, and a cozy atmosphere makes it a spot worth returning to, especially if you enjoy trying different matcha creations. The balance of authentic flavors, thoughtful presentation, and a relaxed environment makes it a destination for a more intentional matcha experience.

I knew this place was the real deal from the yelp pictures and I'm so glad I came here for dessert. It was so hard choosing a base flavor, but opted for the strawberry with passion fruit glaze and oh my god this was life changing. The texture of the ice itself was light, airy, and not too sweet, which is perfect for me. The passion fruit glaze added that depth of fruity flavor and honestly this large size was more than enough to share with 2 people. Parking: it's hard to find around the area, so good luck. The shop itself is small and you can't really eat inside but they have tables outside you can enjoy. I will be back for more and bring some friends to check it out!!

I think if I went back I'd try a fruit flavor instead. I think it's worth another try and I may go back sometime to try a different flavor.
