The store has a little bookstore on the inside and is super small with no seats. We tried the Special Breakfast Sandwich and the biscuit was buttery and a good "flakey." It pairs well with their salsa, but I think they should offer gravy. Biscuits and gravy are the best! There were about 3 workers during a Friday morning, nothing crazy with the service. It's a grab and go spot. The parking here is so difficult, I recommend walking or using public transport to get here. If you do drive, be prepared to be in traffic and pay for parking. FINALLY gave the viral special breakfast sandwich a try now that they have a location in FiDi. i came at lunchtime on a weekday so there were only a few people ahead of me. i'd imagine the line here doesn't get nearly as long as their other locations, so that's a plus in my book. sandwich was a bit dry for me because of the biscuit, but for $11.50 i'm willing to give it another shot. i wasn't sure if you could sub the bacon (included in sandwich) with sausage for free or a smaller fee? i only saw an option to purchase a side for a few bucks, which deterred me because the cost of the sandwich would've been closer to $15. will have to try the hot sauce next time too. the cinnamon roll was $7 or $8, but my godddd it was worth it and i don't even have a big sweet tooth. not sickeningly sweet, which is something i'm pretty sensitive to. i warmed this up at home (but i think you can ask them to warm it?) and i don't regret the purchase. read more

OMG ! I had THE SPECIAL breakfast sandwich today and had to lv a review! I think this has to be the BEST breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Hot , fresh, melt in your mouth goodness! As a long time fan of their sunset location, I was overjoyed to find this gem this morning. A perfect translation of everything the sunset location offers, their special breakfast sandwich continues to be my favorite breakfast sandwich in the city, and their collaboration with green apple books allowed me to produce some lovely books while waiting for my sandwich. Such a vibrant addition to the Embarcadero Center. read more

Devil's Teeth did a great job transferring their bakery downtown, and I'm thankful for that because making it to the Outer Sunset is rarely in the cards for me. It's a production bakery coffee shop-style vibe with decent price-to-value for an urban center. They have a large customer base, but the line moves quickly, the service is friendly, and the product comes out quickly. There are many pre-made pastries and treats, and a few savory options if you want to grab a coffee and something immediately (cold brew and a scone, for example). It gets a little snug, however, there is just enough room for folks to maintain personal space while waiting for a made-to-order coffee or food item. No parking on the street. Skip the sausage - the upcharge for it isn't worth it. The sourdough is good. The biscuit is better--Flakey and crunchy but soft and layered. Sunset coffee roasters. Expect to spend about $20 for a filling breakfast and coffee. read more

Biscuits will never be the same again. I ordered the special breakfast sandwhich and it was the best decision I made. The biscuit itself is something spectacular but then they add fluffy cooked to perfection eggs, melted cheese, a creamy lemon aioli, and a scoop of avocado, lets not forget the yummy bacon, and just like that you have the performance offt breakfast sandwich. I paired th sandwich with a organic passionfruit and orange juice which was delicious. Friendly staff made it easy to order. Inside you'll find small book shop with various knickknacks and some company merch, I gladly purchased a shirt. 100/10 definitely recommend if you get the chance to visit SF. read more

I honestly have been missing out this whole time because I now know why Devil's Teeth has a line out the door in the sunset location. I've always heard about Devil's Teeth from other people, friends, colleagues, etc. about how amazing their breakfast sandwiches are and they were absolutely right. Until my brother-in-law told me that there was one downtown, I was counting the days until I can get a sandwich in the Sunset. My coworker, Supervisor, and I agreed to come here for lunch earlier this week and we were surprised at how close this was to our office. I already knew what I wanted to have, but man it sucks because I'm currently on keto - so I had to eat what I could :( The FiDi location is at the embarcadero center. It's literally down the block from Sephora, which was super convenient. This store is also a small bookstore as well, so you can order pastries, coffee, sandwiches, lunch and purchase a book from the small collection they had. There is only one cashier, who was SUPER sweet and made ordering very easy. I only ordered the special breakfast sandwich, which is roughly ~$11. With tax and tip, it came out to be around $13-14. The special breakfast sandwich comes with scrambled eggs, pepper jack cheese, bacon, avocado, and lemon garlic aoli which is sandwiched between a home made biscuit. It only took around maybe 5-10 minutes to receive my order considering that there wasn't much of a line and a good number of folks just waiting around for their order. LOOOORRD, the breakfast sandwich was thick, heavy, and delicious!! The lemon garlic aoli really ties everything together. It was not overly salty at all and such a great balance of everything. The biscuit is *CHEFS KISS*. The unfortunate thing is that I am on keto and I couldn't fully enjoy the entire biscuit, but I had a smaller portion and OMG. It's SOOO fluffy, flakey, and baked to perfection. Once I switch to low carb, I am demolishing the entire sandwich. The breakfast sandwich is definitely worth it and definitely worth the wait so far!! I WILL BE BACK!! read more

The regular breakfast sandwich is the best I've had anywhere. I don't order the special because of allergies to peppers (pepper jack, in this case). Staff is courteous and friendly, I've even bought a shirt because i like the design as well as the food. I'm there every week after the Ferry Plaza's farmers market, there is no better place. read more

Since I started working in the financial district I've been looking for restaurants that are open early and close enough for me to walk to on my 15 minute break. I decided to try this place based on the pictures I saw on yelp and I love it! On my first outing I ordered the special breakfast sandwich without eggs and avocado, and with greens. I was absolutely delicious. The buttermilk biscuit that they make is soft and buttery. The second time I went I ordered the special breakfast sandwich again (no eggs/avocado, add greens) but on sourdough bread and it was just as tasty! I will say, this place is not cheap so expect to spend at least $15 for their sandwiches and possibly more if you order a beverage too. I take my break around 10:30-10:45 and when normally all of the pastries in the display case are almost all gone so if you want a sweet treat I'd get here sooner. read more

Good for the price. Was very big and filled but dry I got a regular sammy . Wish they had a different aoili Lemon aoili seems like itonly goes with the guoc. A garlic aoili would be very good. The customer service was very much giving they only talk yo eachother and customers when they have to. read more

I ordered the Special Breakfast sandwich and it was delicious! The super melted cheese, lemon-garlic aioli, crispy bacon, and avocados were a perfect combination of flavor and texture. I ordered this to-go since they do not have any indoor seating. The wait time was not long even when they had a steady amount of customers ordering food. It's been many years since I've eaten their food. To the point, I looked back to learn that I never reviewed their original Sunset District location. After trying a new lunch place a couple of blocks away, I remembered hearing from friends about this 'pop-up' location. I entered from the Battery Street entrance of Embarcadero One and found that it is located on Sacramento Street in the space formerly occupied by Melt, the cheese sandwich place. After a quick glance, I bought three items to go. I will get this again. The surprise item was a gifted item for my friend that she returned to me. The gal who took and packed my order was patient and nice while one of the guys in back brough a light spirit to my experience with jokes and funny comments. My friend recommended that I try their staple item, one of their breakfast sandwiches next time. It was tempting as I saw it on the menu board but, having just eaten lunch, I passed on this visit. I ordered at the counter and browsed around while waiting for my sandwich. The cashier was warm and welcoming for 7AM on a Tuesday. Street parking is available, but it can be pricy and hard to find. We wanted something quick and easy for breakfast, and it seemed like a lot of people recommended this place. We got breakfast sandwiches and beignets, and they were amazing! Honestly probably the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The girl working the register was helpful and sweet and I appreciated her beignets recommendation because they were amazing. The cafe itself was adorable, with a pop up bookstore! I wish I had taken pics before I wolfed down my sandwich but I promise, the portion was generous and served hot and delicious. The sandwich was good but the biscuit was a little dry. I'd rate the sandwich a 3.5/5 but the service 2/5 because the cashier was rude. They didn't greet me then offered a half smile when I said hi. Lemon Bar: This was definitely up there as one of the best lemon bars I have had. It is a great balance of tart and sweet without going too far in either direction. Additionally, if you like corner pieces the corners on these are nice a chewy which I thought was great. If you do want a specific piece they are super nice about grabbing it for you. Cinnamon Roll: Personally, I did not think this was very good. It was served in the box with a sizeable pool of butter I ended up pouring out. They also make them without cream cheese, which results in them being purely sweet with no balance. Lastly, it is worth noting that they serve them extremely hot. The ends of the fork in the picture curled up from the heat of the inside after sitting in the cinnamon roll for a bit. Overall, I thought Devil's Teeth was ok when factoring in the varying quality of different items. Service wise, the people are very nice and helpful. The seating and small book selection inside are also nice touches. I would definitely go back for the lemon bars! read more

Must try!!!! All of my expectations were met coming here for the first time and I can't wait to go back!!! I tried the famous "special" breakfast sandwich, a latte and of course some beignets (only on sundays) everything was delicious and fresh!!! I also purchased a book that ive been wanting to buy/ read for a while now so that was a plus that they had a mini bookstore pop-up! Love this place. The cinnamon roll here speaks to my soul, it's worth the hype, that sweet cinnamony goodness oozing out of the roll in each perfect bite. Perfect for sharing but also perfectly okay to consume all by yourself (as i have done many times) Another signature of theirs is the breakfast sandwich- recommend getting the special with all the trimmings as its got more flavor punch to it and extra saucy to combat the biscuit. Perfectly crumbly biscuit and great sauce with the eggs- served warm and full of goodness. Love treating myself to a breakfast biscuit and cinnamon roll when in the area- its always both items, always. Friendly staff and quick service- not much seating really in the area- it's more of grab and go, but there are plenty of cute places nearby to take your food to sit and enjoy- and embarcadero is close by if its a nice day! I had this place on my list after seeing several other reviews highlighted here and on social media. We did go for the $1 beignets on Sundays, and they were piping hot and had lots of powdered sugar! If you are craving beignets, this spot earns top marks for price, convenience, and freshness! I was excited to try their sandwiches and while all the components were good, it ended up being a bit dry all together. The biscuits were fresh and hot and flaky, but there wasn't enough aoili to prevent each bite from feeling dry in my mouth. The Sandwiches were fresh and hot and came with homemade hot sauce that we agreed we were using just to add some more moisture to the sandwich. We didn't need the flavor, but we needed the sauce, if that makes sense. This place was fairly busy and we hung around looking at different books they have for sale. Really cool vibes, but without seating, it felt like we couldn't stay and peruse once our food was ready. My partner's latte was not his favorite and he wouldn't order coffee from here again. I don't drink coffee, so I can't say. So overall cute, small shop that makes food fresh to order. I'd come back with friends in town who want some beignets! But overall, this spot didn't displace my current favorite breakfast sandwich place. read more

Didn't know this location existed until Yelp popped it up as in my area. And I'm happy it did because the line here at this location was not as crazy as the sunset locations!! Sundays = Beignets. The beignets are soooo good. I'd eat 10 of them in one sitting if I didn't have my sub conscious judging me for it. I do feel like they were stingy with the lemon aioli sauce with their special breakfast sando. But it's ok. It still hit. Location has tricky parking near Embarcadero, and inside is a bookstore!! First time trying out their location in FiDi and it's solid. The biscuits are just as good as I remember and the sandwich stayed tightly wrapped and hot enough for me to enjoy at a location that was about a 10-min walk away. No indoor or outdoor seating at this spot FYI. Special Breakfast Sandwich with homemade hot sauce cured my life! They do not skimp out on the avocado, that's for sure. Very good service and cute space, currently shared with a book store. read more

Each sandwich is made fresh to order, and I took my food to-go to enjoy at the Ferry Building, a short walk away. The sandwich is definitely worth the hype! First, the biscuits are baked to perfection with a crispy exterior and flaky, buttery interior. They held their structure to contain soft scrambled eggs, melted pepper jack, bacon, avocado, and hot sauce (pro tip: get extra hot sauce on the side). The sandwich was very hearty and kept me full until dinner. Been wanting to try the famous devil's teeth breakfast sandwich for a while since it's so hyped up on social media. Came to Embarcadero location on a Saturday morning 8am ish with no line to order. But did have to wait a bit for the food. I got the "special breakfast sandwich" ($11.50) with creamy scrambled eggs, smashed avocado and thick cut bacon. The biscuits were very buttery. Not the best I've had, but pretty good. It's better than your average breakfast sandwich but I guess I was expecting something more due to all the hype. I personally do not enjoy bacon, I'd order without bacon next time. Note: I think the difference between the regular vs the special breakfast sandwich is the cheese they use and the addition of avocado. Breakfast sandwiches served all day, that's a win in my books! We were in the area and hungry around 1:30pm, and I had to try "The Special". Even though it was kinda pricey for a breakfast sandwich, it was filling and delicious. Service was friendly, and I guess there was barely a wait since it was later, so good timing on us. While we waited, we looked around in the bookstore section which shared space with the cafe. (Note, hence there is no space to eat indoors here). read more

I was fortunate to land one of the limited seats inside the bakery, although, there was also plenty of bench space in the parklet outside. The pizza crust was thin and crispy - with just the right amount of chew - and tasted slightly of sourdough. Topping-wise, the mushrooms were abundant but not overpowering; however, I wish there had been other vegetables to balance out the flavor. Paying less than $5 for a generously-sized slice (adorned with a mini slice on top) felt like a bargain, especially in SF. I would definitely make the trip back out here to give the pizza another try and to pick up some of the other baked goods.

Devil's Teeth Bakery is an absolute gem for breakfast in San Francisco! It was just a quick walk from our hotel, and we loved it so much we went two mornings in a row. The regular breakfast sandwich was incredible--stuffed with eggs, bacon, and cheese, all on a biscuit that was light, fluffy, and full of flavor. We also tried the blueberry scone with lemon drizzle, and wow--hands down one of the best scones I've ever had. Soft, fluffy, and delicious, nothing like the dry scones you usually find. The next day we went back for the dill and cream cheese scone and the raspberry scone, and both were just as amazing. This spot really nails their baked goods. If you're in the Financial District, do yourself a favor: grab some breakfast treats from Devil's Teeth and find a spot nearby to enjoy the food and the view. You won't regret it! read more

Their bowls and soups are bowl and worth trying too - they are quite filling. Be aware that 12-2pm on weekdays is competitive for indoor seating but there's Yerba Buena park right next to it, so if the weather's nice, I'd just grab my pastry and coffee to go and enjoy it outside.

For such a steep price, I expect the service to at least be good, but it was borderline unprofessional and the food itself is not worth it. The only reason this isn't a 1 star is that the ambiance was nice, so it was a decent place to talk even without any food.
