While walking along the Great Highway, I decided to stop by here to pick up pastries based on the Yelp reviews of bakeries in the area. There was a long line and that initially intimated me but it moved quick. Sadly, they were sold out of a lot of pastries by the time I arrived (11am). I was able to snag some strawberry banana muffins (so good! I highly recommend), oatmeal craisin cookie (very oat filled, but a bit too sweet for me), and a chocolate chip cookie (huge and very good). I also ordered their famous breakfast sandwich, which I can see the hype is about! Be warned that the breakfast sandwich is very heavy! The buttermilk biscuit is quite dense, and the special breakfast sandwich comes with avocado and aioli that send it over the top. If I'm in the area, I definitely want to stop by again and try other items! read more

Happened to go to San Francisco yesterday to walk on the beach and just enjoy the sunshine. Little did we know that this bakery close by would really make the day a whole lot better. My friends I went with raved about this place for a while before going about the special breakfast sandwich so we decided to go again. This place is pretty small and has baked goods as some hot foods as well. We had preordered so thankfully we didn't have to wait in line and could go and quickly just pick up the order. I ended up trying the: *special breakfast sandwich - which is basically a biscuit sandwich with bacon, eggs, avocado and this delicious lemon aioli sauce that I must say really elevates this sandwhich to pure awesomeness. Its interesting that its so simple with fresh ingredients yet so delicious! All this for $8 bucks which is pretty awesome. I would recommend one to check this place out, even if you are not very close to the area! read more

I visited Devil's teeth early one Sunday to try one of their famous breakfast sandwiches. Now, my husband isn't really a morning person, but I know if I'm going to the city for something that's gone relatively viral on social, we're getting up early and out the door first thing. We were not disappointed at all with getting up and out early as this was SUCH a good treat. I will say, the biscuits aren't quite flaky, more like a bread or shortbread. So if you're picky or a die-hard flake fan, you may not like this. The line moved quick and they were very kind. If you go to the location on Noriega, you have beautiful views of the ocean in a cute and quiet neighborhood. Can't wait to head back someday. read more

walked in around 2pm. no line. the place was super cute with the way they decorated their menu board and open kitchen. I got my sandwhich in under 5 minutes, and I took it to golden gate park to eat. the eggs were cooked to the perfect softness with a nicely balanced mild gooey cheese. perfectly ripe high quality advocado. the bacon was thick and chewy. the biscuit was super buttery and thick. a very filling sandwhich for sure. it felt incredibly indulgent but didnt make me feel weighed down. i just wish i could taste more of the aoli. i havent had their baked goods but they look divine. read more

Came here Sunday morning for some yummy breakfast and while walking up to it, we had to walk all the way down the sidewalk because the line to get in was so long! It had me thinking this place must be THAT good and this place didn't disappoint. The inside is small and you have to sit outside on the benches to wait for your order and to enjoy it. I will say, they were so busy but they moved fairly quickly. The inside is cute. They have lots of baked goods to choose from. We went with the special breakfast sandwich and shared it with my fiancé. This sandwich was thick! I definitely recommend the special sandwich compared to the breakfast sandwich only because the special one seems less dry since it is made with a biscuit. The beignets were AMAZING. They were hot and fluffy and they put lots of powered sugar at the bottom so you can shake them in the bag to your liking. I was finally able to try SF's "best breakfast sandwich" at Devil's Teeth! I stopped by on a Monday morning (thank goodness for a short line) and tried their regular and special breakfast sandwiches. Customer service was really nice and there is a little bit of wait, but I can't complain, because that just means they make it fresh! While I was waiting for my order outside, the couple eating behind me had finished their food and walked back in the store for seconds - that's how you know it's good! The breakfast sandwich itself was one of the best I've had. The biscuit was buttery and perfectly crumbly, although it was a bit dry. Came to try their famous breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was filled with avocado, eggs, bacon, and pepperjack cheese in a toasted biscuit. I really liked the kick that the jalapeño in the pepperjack brought to the sandwich. The biscuit was super crisp and satisfying to bite into. I would've liked slightly more bacon and less eggs but overall very filling. But the sandwich is also pretty expensive at around $13 post tax. Our group decided to try this place after our hike at Land Ends. We shared three special breakfast sandwiches and two cookies. The special breakfast sandwich sits on a warm fluffy biscuit with perfect scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon, avocado with a lemon-garlic aioli sauce. If you love breakfast sandwich this one takes the cake. You'll be coming back again and again for one or ten. It's that good. Don't forget to add their hot sauce on your sandwich. It adds a good spice to this savory dish. The two cookies we got were the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie and an oatmeal cookie. Hands down the peanut butter cookie won. We also tried the beignets, available only on Sundays. While coffee isn't their focus, I couldn't help but feel the beverages were a tad underwhelming. One of my favorite breakfast / baked goods place! There's always a line but it usually moves quick, getting there first thing in the morning is the way to go so you can get your pick of items but also not have to wait as long. I love the cinnamon roll, it's huge and definitely can share with multiple people because it's also pretty sweet, nonetheless delicious. My favorite is their special breakfast sandwich, it has definitely gone up a lot in price for what it is and the size but still tasty. There's outdoor eating and if it's nice out, definitely take advantage of sitting outside with your treats and maybe a coffee! read more

I went here specifically for the sandwich. Although the filling was delicious, I think they might go a bit overboard with the massive biscuit. It felt like I had to unhinge my jaw in order to eat it. Devil's Teeth Baking Company is a bakery with several sweet + savory options, but they're most known for their breakfast sandwiches. Food (5/5): The breakfast sandwiches are solid. Very filling, very buttery. Hearty sandwich that's served on a flaky biscuit. We also had the beignets (only avail on Sundays). My recommendation: You're gonna be happy with honestly anything on the menu. Service (4/5): Line can get long on the weekends in the morning but it's worth the wait! Facility (4/5): At the time of writing this review, they only let two parties in at a time into the building, so you can only be inside while ordering or while picking up your food -- you have to wait outside (for COVID restrictions). Parking around here is pretty ok for SF. Middle of the Richmond is pretty residential so you should be fine. Other than that, nothing worth noting. Bang/Buck (4/5): Pricey for a breakfast sandwich, but a solid breakfast sandwich nonetheless. I think it's definitely worth it but it's not *fantastic* value. Stopped here after my first Fat Cake Club ride on a Thursday morning. We mobbed the place with 50 people, but they worked through the line pretty rapidly. One of the Fat Cake members came through the line and let us all try a bite of his cinnamon bun, which was the BEST cinnamon bun I had ever tasted! I only got a smidge, but it melted in my mouth and left me wanting more. I ordered the Special Breakfast sandwich, which came in a delectably buttery and melty biscuit with eggs, bacon, avocado, and a creamy lemon garlic aoili. It was pure heaven - one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever consumed. The whole thing was a gluttonous overload, probably not earned after our 13 mile jaunt, but thoroughly enjoyed. Anyone who grew up with me knows my absolute hankering for sweets. But, since growing a bit older (hopefully wiser) and a bit more health conscious, I've suppressed a lot of my sugary habits... Until now. Oh Lord, forgive me for I have sinned. Even the thought of consuming sweets sends me into a guilt trip. That being said, I have heard so many great things about Devil's Teeth Baking Company and decided to make the trek from SOMA to the outer Sunset District just for this place. And with a name like Devil's Teeth, who wouldn't be slightly seduced? And like the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden, I knew I shouldn't have been anywhere near it. Oh well! Sometimes you just gotta YOLO it! *throws scruples to the wind* Upon arrival, as I opened my car door, I could immediately smell the aroma of delicious baked goods permeating through the air. It was like a delicate lullaby to my nose tempting me to come closer. God please help me to resist temptation as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. As I walked into the store, my heart skipped a beat. There they were. Cookies, croissants, cinnamon rolls, danishes and a plethora of other delightful delicacies sat behind the glass display ready to be devoured. I really really really really DO try hard to make healthy choices, but today was NOT going to be that day. The first thing my eyes settled on was a large peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. The angel on my shoulder said not to, but the devil on my shoulder said come on, just try a little. The chocolate chips were so large and numerous throughout the cookie that I was convinced that maybe a small bite wouldn't hurt. Next my eyes shifted to the crumb cake. I grew up eating cheap ol' Little Debbie's and thought that even then, it was the greatest thing in the world. Since those Little Debbie days, I've learned a thing or two about quality and let's just say that this coffee crumb cake had it goin' on in all aspects! Soft, delicately sweet, with a bit of a tart flavor from the rhubarb. Sweet Lordy Jesus. By now I had no conscious at all. Just give me the goodz! I also purchased the cinnamon roll. Words cannot describe what I tasted and felt, but let me go ahead and try. Soft Gooey Sweet Cinnamony Crunchy. You name it. This forbidden "fruit" was better than I had ever imagined. I needed something to wash this all down before leaving, so I decided to go with one of their house made mango juices from the fridge. A perfect way to end such a sugary trip. Prices are a tad high, but for the quality and flavor you get, it is well worth the extra pennies. They have outdoor seating that is great for relaxing with your coffee or pastries, or to even just chatting with your friends. This place is kid friendly and has colorful chalk for children to draw on the city walkways with. They also serve savory dishes, sandwiches and sourdough bread. So, if you aren't in the mood for something sweet, there are plenty of other options to choose from at this bakery. The only excuse I have for going on such a sugar crazed frenzy is "The devil made me do it." Yeah, that's it. I want to start off by giving a heads up to the owners, who decided to open such a fantastic bakery on this street. It is exactly what the neighbor hood needed. The owners are wonderful, always very interested in who you are, and what your about- It makes one feel good to be asked questions- because it shows they truly want to get to know their customers. I have a lot to say about this place.. so hold on to your seats. The staff: About 95% of the staff are sweet, and overly attentive. But lately the same two young girls, have given me less than standard service.. For example, when I came in by myself to get a few things- the young Asian girl with glasses and black hair and another girl with brown hair and blue eyes- ignore me- especially if there is other young men in the bakery. Normally I wouldn't consider this a problem, but it has happened now more than a few times.. It doesn't make any sense to me, because EVERYONE ELSE is SOOO overly nice and polite!??!? BUT I still come here because I love the food and the location.. right by the beach. OK now for the food: In the latest issue of 7x7 magazine that frequents my office... there was an article about the "top 10 places to eat in the outer sunset". What made me SO happy, is that Devil's Teeth scored 2nd place out of 10 for their breakfast sandwich!!! The breakfast sandwich I have had it REALLY good- and then other time disappointing.. but hold on let me emphasize that when its GOOD- its REALLY GOOD. It's a home made fresh biscuit, cheddar cheese, bacon, and what they call their "two egg-er"- which is an enormously sized scrambled egg.. When it's "good" it's due to the perfection of the ratio portion of the bacon, egg, and cheese.. I read in the article that there is to be 3 strips of bacon when in fact... it is ONE piece of bacon folded over. Last time I brought one home for my wife, she opened it up and saw little else but a daunting 4 inch egg-er in the sandwich.. I hate to say this but she just threw the egg to our two labs.. they seemed to like it. it was way too much and over powered the rest of it. But either way I cant deny it is one of my favorite things on their menu. -Pie: The strawberry pie is by far my favorite. Lately they have been doing a strawberry and blueberry blend- which is alright, but my favorite is the plain strawberry! The banana creme pie is second to none and I dream of it often :) -Muffins: My favorite muffin- by far is the black berry muffin.. the blackberry banana is also great as well as the blueberry banana. I can woof down these heavenly muffins in a sitting- that's how good they are. I also highly enjoy the donut muffin, but the fruit muffins are by far the BEST, possibly that Ive ever had in my LIFE! - As far as the rest: The Cheese cake- is AMAZING. I love this little topping they put over it.. its almost like an extra creamy topping.. since cheesecake can b somewhat dry. I love the lemon cheesecake as well. The quiche is AMAZING, the crust is perfect buttery and flaky. Pretty much everything is wonderful. I highly recommend this place! read more

Definitely have to agree with everyone that Devil's Teeth Baking Company is very FRESH! I came in ready to start my morning off with one of their breakfast sammies and the banana blueberry muffins. I have a huge soft spot for breakfast sandwiches. When I saw that Devil's Teeth serves breakfast sammies, I was super excited to try one! I really appreciate that the sammies are made fresh - right after I placed my order I saw them crack the eggs into the skillet. The portions are also huge, but then again the breakfast sandwich was $5. So how did the food taste? Well...I was slightly underwhelmed by the breakfast sandwich. The biscuit was soft and flaky, but the sandwich was dry and lacked flavor. They should add some hot sauce or ketchup on the side. Also, I really wish they put sausage in the sandwich. There are 2 strips of bacon, cheese, and lots of fluffy scrambled eggs but where's the sausage?? The banana blueberry muffin comes topped with whole blueberries baked into a banana bread muffin. The texture of the muffin was a little too doughy and tasted a bit bland. Just an extra hint of banana flavor and these muffins would be perfect! Only got their ginger cookie because I went a little late in the afternoon and most pastries were gone. I wasn't hungry at that time so I decided on the cookie so I can save it for later. The ginger cookie was delicious!! I wasn't even hungry, but decided to try it anyways and it was yummy! It is about the size of your whole hand (pretty big cookie) for $2.50. There are actual soft ginger candy chunks in it that are sweet/very ginger-y and the cookie itself is a good blend of saltiness and sweetness. Very chewy cookie and did not turn hard or dry out after a day. The staff were very friendly and you can help yourself with some water if you'd like (located at where the sugar/creamer are). There are limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating. They serve not just pastries/brownies/cookies/cakes but also breakfast/lunch sandwiches, lunch dishes..etc. Also have beignet Sundays for $1 a piece...too bad I went on a Saturday.
