Spending the weekend in SF and started our morning out here. Got the avocado toast and the bread pudding. Along with coffee and a chai. Food was ok nothing spectacular. Toast needs more acidity - maybe tomato or a squeeze of lemon or lime. Bread pudding is super dense and a bit overly gingery. Staff was friendly. Cute little place.
No frills cafe with limited pastry offerings. Lemon blueberry scone wasnt too sweet and i appreciated that they did NOT have granulated sugar covering the scone! Their breakfast sandwiches looked amazing, would have gotten one if I was hungrier.
Grateful for this cafe near Ocean Beach. They offer breakfast and sandwiches, and beverages. It's clearly a neighborhood favorite place with tables and seating in foods and mostly outdoors in their parklet. We had a breakfast sandwich which was pretty good. Just know it is not served with anything on the side. We also had a veggie wrap which was ok but most of the filling was lettuce. The latte was fine. The lavender tea latte which I think was made with earl grey tea was on the sweet side but some of my dining companions who also had it said it was bitter. Otherwise this is a good local place when you want something simple.
We ordered lattes and the breakfast bagel. Coffee was delicious. Bagel was the perfect meal to start the day; it did not feel too greasy or heavy. Service was super quick. They offer NA beer/wine/cocktails They are dog friendly Not the most comfy seating (no back support) to enjoy a NA bottle but perfect for a quick bite. The chairs near the front did have back support. I would come back.
I am beyond thrilled that a place like Ocean Beach Cafe exists! It is exactly what the Outer Richmond needed. From the moment I walked in, the owner and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel like visiting a friend's place. The selection of non-alcoholic mocktails and retail bottles is truly exquisite it's rare to see this much variety and quality in one spot. I had the Epic Breakfast Sandwich, and it lived up to the name; it was absolutely incredible and so tasty. I also tried the seasonal Earl Grey Latte, which was delicious and perfectly balanced. I ended up grabbing a bottle of Woody NA sparkling wine to take home. I'm so excited to try it, especially knowing it's sustainably farmed by a winemaker in Healdsburg. This is a must-visit for anyone looking for a premium, intentional NA experience. I can't wait to go back!
4/5 for this place because their roast beef sandwich is the best, I only wish the side condiment was something more than chips or a choice but if chips I wish there were a dip or something. Service is generally good and fast but it's not memorable. I think the place is small but it has equal seating outside. The price is a little steep but maybe it's just SF prices.

Would have liked a different bread and to be toasted. Also they serve it with a side of kettle potato chips. Service was super fast and they have a pretty good selection of drinks.

It was a bit hot inside the cafe since it was packed. I ordered the Draft Cold Coffee. The coffee was good and strong. It took a while to receive my order because the staff was busy. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Ocean Beach Cafe. It has fun vibes and offers good drinks.
This is a great location for breakfast and coffee right next to the beach. The breakfast sandwich was so good and the bread pudding was amazing! There is outdoor patio seating and the line moves pretty quickly.
Ocean Beach cafe is a very cool cafe and NA bar. They have a variety of NA beers/wines, probably the most curated selection of hot sauces I've ever seen to compliment your food, and good vibes. They have ample indoor seating as well as outdoor seating in a parklet. It felt like a relaxing spot. We got the spicy chicken sandwich with chips and I grabbed the garlic parm hot sauce from the communal hot sauce bar to add to the side. The sandwich was solid and very packed! It was pretty big and I actually took half to-go. It is a little pricey but that just might be the economy. I recommend stopping by for food and drinks especially after a beach a day!

Stumbled upon Ocean Beach Cafe because we wanted to use the Blackbird app. My friend got an iced matcha latte and I ordered a regular latte. Unfortunately, the app didn't work on the cafe's side, so we weren't able to get our drinks free like it was supposed to. We mentioned it to the staff, but they just said they've been having issues with the app. A little disappointing, especially since we didn't realize until after we got our drinks. As for the drinks--the iced matcha was super sweet, but my iced latte was solid. The real winner though? The Epic Breakfast Bagel Sandwich. WOW. Probably the best breakfast bagel sandwich I've had in a long time. Totally worth coming back just for that alone. The cafe itself is adorable, with a cozy vibe and an amazing location just a short walk from both Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park. Bonus: they've got a huge selection of different non-alcoholic drinks, which is super unique. Overall, I'd come back for the food, especially that bagel sandwich.
Cafe by the beach? Sure. OCB is a popular local coastal beach cafe at Ocean Beach, San Francisco. They offer a wide variety of drinks, pastries and breakfast. Indoor and outdoor atmosphere was very North Cal, chill, relaxed and hip. I came mid-morning to grab a hot Jasmine Green Tea. And it was okay. Service was spot on. Staff were attentive and professional. Parking is atrocious but there is a public parking lot right by the beach. Prices are fair. Overall, it's a nice coffee shop a block fr the beach. (NOTE: I can't actually rate the food becuase we didn't have any! We stopped in to ask about omelettes and the staff members recommended we head a few doors down to TJ Cafe, which we did, (see separate review). I just gave it 5 stars becuse everybody else has and I see no need to bring down the rating.) On the way back to our car from TJ Cafe, i noticed, through the window, that the wall of bottles was actually topped by a big sign saying non-alcholic! Having been a member of a non-drinking community since 1962, I was fascinated to see such display and dropped in to check it out We spent some 15 minutes with Josh, an ex-bar tender, explaining his philosophy on the social need for community life withoug depending on alcohol (See his Youtube channel: "Josh the non-Alcoholic" for more on this). Josh gave my wife a free cup of coffee since TJ Cafe down the road had no had free refills, and we entered a draw to win a bottle of non-Alcoholic French wine. Josh surprised us by telling us that the French wine industry is going big on non-alcoholic wines. I bought a can of Vanua Bliss - a Mango flavoured Kava drink - vastly different from the Kava served to me during my 3 years stay on Tanna, New Hebrides (1977 to 1980) which was made by youth chewing the kava in their mouths, spitting it out on to a coconut sheath, then pouring water into it and squeezing it into a half shell of a coconut and cerimoniously handing it to you under the shade of a huge Nambunga tree as the twilight deepened! Such are memories made of. While Kava is not alcoholic, it does have some muscle relaxant properties and give a weird buzz of the tongue. I wish him well in his endeavour to allow the teetotaler community to enjoy the social aspects of drinks with their meals, without worring about the alcohol destroying our brain cell and livers! read more
I strongly recommend Ocean Beach Cafe. It's in a great location, just a block away from Ocean Beach. All the employees are great people. Joshua and Wayne are such friendly people and create such a welcoming and supportive community. It is awesome that they organize beach clean-ups every Saturday. Which comes with a $15 food voucher. So you can do a good thing and then eat some good food and drinks. The cafe is very clean. My girlfriend and I each ordered the turkey sandwich and loved it. One of the best sandwiches we have ever had. You can tell they take pride in their menu and quality. I highly recommend this place and plan to come back more often. read more

Late breakfast on a Wednesday with kids in tow. They are donut muffins and we got the Epic Breakfast Sandwich. I ordered mine on gluten free bread, no chef sauce (which might not be gf?) Everything was great. Laid back atmosphere, good service, seating for about 15 inside and more outside. read more
Cute little place, no ocean view, though, as they advertise/allude to on their IG page. We were bummed that there was no actual bar to sit at since it's marketed as SF's "Only NA Bar" and it was a little cluttered inside. BUT, with the critiques out of the way, I'm happy to report that the food was tasty and the drinks were even better! The staff were very friendly, and made the food and drinks right in front of us. Overall, I'll be back, especially since there's not a whole lot of Kava bars around! read more

love this place so much!!! grabbed two of the breakfast bagel sandwiches before heading to the beach, and they were super filling and hearty. service was pretty quick and they have free water and WiFi while you wait. I really love this place. It's the perfect little beach cafe. Lovely outdoor seating, 1 block off the beach. The coffee is delicious the people are friendly and the Epic breakfast sandwich is the best!! It's huge! It turns into a sloppy mess. Be sure to request they cut it in half. HUGE awesome amazing part of this location is a phenomenal variety of non-alcoholic and alternative social drinks. Definitely worth a stop in to peruse!! read more

Drip coffee and vanilla latte are amazing. But the real special thing is their Kava haven. Goes down really smoothly and gives the perfect buzz with no alcohol :) Workers are very nice too and the ambiance is perfect. read more

Amazing spot, so close to the beach and there's ample parking. I highly recommend this place. The servers are awesome and kind! The food is warm and delicious. I recommend the breakfast sando! There's outdoor seating available as well as indoor and they're fully accessible as well as the bathroom in the back. The vibe is unmatched -nice music, decorated with some surf stuff and succulents. read more

I came by Ocean Beach Cafe before heading out to Land's End and we picked up a passionfruit kouign amann and a drip coffee to go. The coffee is nice and strong, perfect for the typical cloudly, cold weather around Land's End and the kouign amann was nice and flaky with a sweet tart center. It's such a nice quick stop if you're in the area and definitely one of my go-tos. read more

It's my first time here and wanted to try something new especially since it was a nice view of the ocean beach. When we came in, the lady didn't welcomed us in. You have to scan a QR code to see the full menu. I walked towards the lady with blonde hair, buzz cut hair, tattoos on her, can't miss it. She didn't say "What can I get for you" or "How can I help you" she just stared at us waiting for us to order. When we ordered she didn't say the order back to us we had to look at it ourselves. She tried to charge us oak milk too. After we paid and we were waiting for our food, she called our order and she put the food on the table, was she expecting me to reach over the long brown table infront of another customer ? Then she later put down the food closer to me but she gave so much attitude in doing so. The other lady was so much nicer, I heard how she was giving the other customers a better customer service. I wished I had her to begin with. If I had the other lady we would've tipped but with the service we had today of course not. Food was good and okay, we ordered the avocado toast, it was okay, it was small for the price of 12$. We also ordered the epic breakfast sandwich which was 13$ that was so good & somehow much bigger. I would come back for that sandwich and the matcha latte (6$). I'll come back to give it another chance, maybe she was having a bad day and we all have those. Overall, service could use some work, indoors seatings were mostly filled but had outdoors seatings which was nice. Food came out quickly and well packaged. read more
This is my favorite cafe in the neighborhood!!! The food is so delicious, I'd recommend the vegan avocado wrap (even if you aren't vegan) and the golden chai! They have an awesome selection of N/A drinks and they can also make specialty mocktails. Not only are they N/A but they can also be ~feel good~ if you know what I mean (kava, hemp, mushrooms etc). The staff is super nice and I highly recommend! read more
Food was ok. Not great , but not bad at all. Just basic sandwiches or salads. I couldn't taste the lavender in my lavender lemonade. You order your food at the register and they holler your name out when the food is ready. You also have to bust your own tables here. The place looks pretty hipster with a large selection of beers on the shelves and fridges. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's also close to the beach. They don't have a large menu so I wouldn't come back since there isn't anything else I'd actually want to try. read more

After a 6 mile walk with lots of stairs we were famished and did not want to drive too far to eat. Yelp led us to this charming cafe. It's unassuming yet has great food & nice outdoor seating (parklet with a sweet succulent garden). The prices are quite reasonable for what you get. The iced Matcha was delicious- nice and creamy. The hummus plate was so yummy. I wanted to buy some hummus to go, but they don't sell it individually- I think they should consider doing so. The staff were all very, very friendly. read more

Attended an event tonight where Josh ran a nonalcoholic bar, and it was one of the highlights of the night. The drinks were delicious, creative, and truly unique. Josh was super knowledgeable, and everyone was gathered around, curious and excited to learn more--his bar was clearly a crowd favorite. Love seeing this level of care and creativity without alcohol. Can't wait to visit Ocean Beach Café soon! it was literally the highlight of my night. read more

Great local spot for an easy breakfast or lunch. Non alcoholic beverage options only, crafted specialty mocktails and serving up good coffee with quick service too. Vibrant vibes with cool music with indoor and outdoor seating including a parklet. The warm sunny day made for a perfect outing along Ocean Beach, a stone's throw from Lands End and The Sutro Baths. read more
