Ending the work week!

Great margaritas at this neighborhood bar. They have a darker and more relaxed atmosphere, but the energy is always high and people are always friendly here since this is a true bar. It's actually a great sports bar too since they always have the 49ers or Warriors on. They have a couple TVs, so it's a nice place to catch a game when you don't want to watch at home. I really enjoy their margaritas, the bar tenders make great drinks and treat their customers like they're family!

Came here on a Sunday of a long three day weekend with a party of two. We were wanting to grab a drink to pass the time as we waited for our table at Burma Superstar to be ready. Originally we were trying to grab a drink at the place nextdoor but they were having a comedy show that required tickets and the owners recommended we check out Scarlet Lounge...and so glad we did! My boyfriend and I got two dirty vodka martinis ($10 each). They were tasty! Bartenders and staff were super friendly. And the vibes and ambiance were great. Will definitely be back if we are in the area.

We came across the Scarlet Lounge after a dinner nearby. The setting seemed intimate and the walls were covered with hilarious posters. The drinks were pretty reasonably priced. I ordered a Paloma and it was quite strong.

What a terrific little bar on Clement Street. If you are looking for a low-key spot that draws a good mix of locals and offers the opportunity for some good craft cocktails, this would be a spot to bookmark. Since leaving Downtown for "Avenue Life", the Inner Richmond has become "Going into Town". It's a simpler time, I guess. So, off to Clement Street to shop, browse, hit the Farmer's Market or grab a bite to eat. This is a bar for all seasons. This hits all the boxes for me. Casual but Classy. Intimate but not claustrophobic. Nice Cocktails but no pretension. Open by 12pm on Saturday and 10am on Sunday, and not full of derelicts. Oh yeah... And they have a solid Tap List and serve a BACON Bloody Mary. It's not rock your world as Bloody's go, but the addition of Bacon gives it a 4-star floor. I've met great patrons with a lot of SF history. I've had great conversations with the Bartenders, repeatedly. And, I'd comfortably walk in anytime.

Gin & Tonic, Fort Point Westfalia, and a Jameson on the rocks

My group of three was actually headed to another bar, but got side tracked when we saw Scarlet Lounge. We decided to check it out on Friday, May 26th around 7:45pm. It wasn't really busy, so we managed to find a table past the bar to the left against the wall. We started out with a Gin & Tonic, Fort Point Westfalia, and a Jameson on the rocks. If you know me, I got the Jameson on the rocks. Another friend joined us a little bit later and we got another round: Gin & Tonic, Jameson on the rocks, Red Seal and I think an Absolut Citron on the rocks? (I just know it was some kind of flavored vodka.) I paid for this round, so with tip, the total ended up being $39. (Not sure what each drink cost as I didn't get an itemized receipt.) The lounge is dark and red, hence the name. I don't know how long Scarlet Lounge has been around, but it has a pretty new feel. Feels like the tables, chairs, booths, etc, are all new. It has a sexy vibe due to all the red, but it's also very low key. In my older age, I prefer more laid back bars as I hate dealing with crowded places. Had a good time exploring a new spot. If in the neighborhood, this would definitely be in my bar rotation.

Nice, intimate, full bar with movies playing. Bar stools and lounge tables. Not too loud so you can enjoy a nice convo. I had the Scarlet Drink but switch gin for vodka.

Absolutely love this place, as a visitor to the area and when you are a little homesick and looking for a place with hospitality, ambience and that local feel this is your place . Very grateful to be given a seat at this bar !

Very chill. I could not figure out the scene. There were much older people there, which I liked, but they were playing Taylor Swift....? Double-yoo tee-eff?maybe the mixed messages keeps out the riff-raff, which I like...

I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

The club was set to close at 2am -- so they start getting everyone together and closing out tabs a 10 minutes or so before it actually closed. I finish my drink and gather my belongings to go to the restroom beforehand. It was occupied at the time ... so I decided not to worry anymore and walk back to my friends. As I'm doing so, I hear the guard rudely speaking to them and telling them to leave. I advised the man that the club was still open at the moment (they had about 5 mins left) and that we actually were heading out then. I also told him that he didn't have to speak to my friends like that - after he had just been joking around with them moments before. Instead of taking accountability, he immediately got an attitude with me and stated that he didn't care about that and it was time to go. Another female guard then popped up randomly and essentially told me to "fix my delivery" and that the man was her brother. To which I replied, that they were both ultimately in the wrong. I understand wanting to leave work but being rude and distasteful towards paying customers isn't the way to do jt. I hope they hire better employees it was a nice place!

There were only two service staff; we could tell they were working hard but they definitely needed more help. We made two trips to the bar and it took about 15-20 minutes to get service. Drinks were decent. A larger group arrived to the left of us, and about 20 minutes after they arrived, the male service worker told us we had to move cause our spot was reserved. Mind you, we'd been there for almost two hours at this point and nobody had mentioned anything about our spot being reserved, and there was no sign holder indicating it either. It was also advertised as a "no cover" event, so curious to know how reservations were even made. He told us we could move over to the wall; which we discovered was right next to the restrooms and the line of users. Not cool. We then noticed that the larger group had spread out and taken our spot; were we supposed to believe these were the supposed "reservation" holders and not just your friends? Overall, just another mediocre bar that caters to the people they know. Not much concern for new customers, so we have no interest in returning or recommending to anyone. Plenty of other bars in the city; better bars that won't make you feel inferior.

The concept of battle of the decades is great too! Each hour is a different decade of music, starting with the 60's. Also love that there's no cover charge for women, so I can just enjoy the night with my friends here without having to pay the equivalent price of a drink before I've even stepped inside. Even with the club frequently packed, especially the later in the night you go, I find the facilities pretty clean compared to many other similar lounges. It's also conveniently located near late night pizza and crêpe eateries that are still open after Monroe closes for the win, which makes it an all-around no brainer to choose going here versus other venues.
