    Ending the work week!

Great margaritas at this neighborhood bar. They have a darker and more relaxed atmosphere, but the energy is always high and people are always friendly here since this is a true bar. It's actually a great sports bar too since they always have the 49ers or Warriors on. They have a couple TVs, so it's a nice place to catch a game when you don't want to watch at home. I really enjoy their margaritas, the bar tenders make great drinks and treat their customers like they're family!

Came here on a Sunday of a long three day weekend with a party of two. We were wanting to grab a drink to pass the time as we waited for our table at Burma Superstar to be ready. Originally we were trying to grab a drink at the place nextdoor but they were having a comedy show that required tickets and the owners recommended we check out Scarlet Lounge...and so glad we did! My boyfriend and I got two dirty vodka martinis ($10 each). They were tasty! Bartenders and staff were super friendly. And the vibes and ambiance were great. Will definitely be back if we are in the area.

We came across the Scarlet Lounge after a dinner nearby. The setting seemed intimate and the walls were covered with hilarious posters. The drinks were pretty reasonably priced. I ordered a Paloma and it was quite strong.

What a terrific little bar on Clement Street. If you are looking for a low-key spot that draws a good mix of locals and offers the opportunity for some good craft cocktails, this would be a spot to bookmark. Since leaving Downtown for "Avenue Life", the Inner Richmond has become "Going into Town". It's a simpler time, I guess. So, off to Clement Street to shop, browse, hit the Farmer's Market or grab a bite to eat. This is a bar for all seasons. This hits all the boxes for me. Casual but Classy. Intimate but not claustrophobic. Nice Cocktails but no pretension. Open by 12pm on Saturday and 10am on Sunday, and not full of derelicts. Oh yeah... And they have a solid Tap List and serve a BACON Bloody Mary. It's not rock your world as Bloody's go, but the addition of Bacon gives it a 4-star floor. I've met great patrons with a lot of SF history. I've had great conversations with the Bartenders, repeatedly. And, I'd comfortably walk in anytime.

Gin & Tonic, Fort Point Westfalia, and a Jameson on the rocks

My group of three was actually headed to another bar, but got side tracked when we saw Scarlet Lounge. We decided to check it out on Friday, May 26th around 7:45pm. It wasn't really busy, so we managed to find a table past the bar to the left against the wall. We started out with a Gin & Tonic, Fort Point Westfalia, and a Jameson on the rocks. If you know me, I got the Jameson on the rocks. Another friend joined us a little bit later and we got another round: Gin & Tonic, Jameson on the rocks, Red Seal and I think an Absolut Citron on the rocks? (I just know it was some kind of flavored vodka.) I paid for this round, so with tip, the total ended up being $39. (Not sure what each drink cost as I didn't get an itemized receipt.) The lounge is dark and red, hence the name. I don't know how long Scarlet Lounge has been around, but it has a pretty new feel. Feels like the tables, chairs, booths, etc, are all new. It has a sexy vibe due to all the red, but it's also very low key. In my older age, I prefer more laid back bars as I hate dealing with crowded places. Had a good time exploring a new spot. If in the neighborhood, this would definitely be in my bar rotation.

Nice, intimate, full bar with movies playing. Bar stools and lounge tables. Not too loud so you can enjoy a nice convo. I had the Scarlet Drink but switch gin for vodka.

Absolutely love this place, as a visitor to the area and when you are a little homesick and looking for a place with hospitality, ambience and that local feel this is your place . Very grateful to be given a seat at this bar !

The escape room is Alice In Wonderland themed and includes three drinks as part of the experience. Arrived on time for our reservation but were held in a waiting room for about 30 min before we could start. Didn't seem like anyone else was doing the escape room but it was also the week of their biz anniversary so maybe they were just super busy. Phoenix led our escape room and was such a delight. Friendly, great banter, helpful throughout the escape. The escape game is split across multiple rooms with a good diversity of puzzles. Don't want to spoil too much here but they were good challenges. Drinks we incorporated throughout and presented like test tubes that were drinkable in a gulp, kind of like a cocktail shot. Personally, I found the first two drinks to be a bit too sweet, but I liked the third, which was coconut forward. The price is definitely a bit more costly. It was $100/person for a party of five. I understand that it was an escape room + the staff + the cocktails. If you max out the party size, it's about $85-ish per person which I think is pretty solid. Still very unique and fun and glad I got to try it

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

I usually am very anti-ordering the same main, but it could not be helped. It sounded too good, and it was, indeed, a really good burger. The bun was soft and fluffy but didn't collapse under the pressure of being held, which is make-or-break for a burger. I don't want my buns to turn into frisbees. The patty was cooked through, still tender, and well-seasoned. Quite fatty, so just know that! The combo of the sauce, cheese, and onions was fantastic, but it did make for a more slippery experience. As a result, my hand was covered in sauce and juices by the end, but our waitress had wet hand wipes on deck, which was amazing. The fries were perfect, quintessential shoestring fries. We tried the Yuzu Custard, Peach & Basil Shortcake, and Rum Butter Cake for dessert, and all were solid!! It is a mission of mine (very casual mission) to find and promote restaurants that have solid desserts because it was hard to execute but also so necessary for Sweet Tooth Nation. We don't mind regular bar noisiness but this was next-level.   We asked the server if we could move or if they could ask the table to take it down a notch since we were seated inside. The presumed manager then came over and rather snippily informed us she can't just "ask a table to stop talking", which of course, was misrepresenting our request and framing it as something unreasonable. IMO if you aren't able to speak to guests with kindness & understanding, even if you're unable to accommodate a request, you should maybe rethink your role in hospitality.   We settled on moving outside, which was totally fine, and finished our meal there. We then come to realize the staff knew the loud table next to us. It definitely left us feeling that their personal friendships were prioritized over kindness and respect toward other guests. After dancing and enjoying the music, we got to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets I've seen from this rooftop. Such a beautiful way to start the evening. And the food made the experience even better! The menu is mostly small bites, so we ordered several dishes to share. We started with the classic ceviche, which was fresh, citrusy, and so good with the chips. We also had the al pastor tacos with pineapple, flavorful and a classic combination that worked perfectly. But the arepitas... OMG! Definitely my favorite. They come with three little arepas filled with shredded beef, and they were SO good. Between all the dishes, it was actually plenty of food for two people, and we left very satisfied. For drinks, we tried the guava and passion fruit mocktails, and both were refreshing and had really nice flavor. But this Sunday experience made me love it even more. It's also such a nice spot for a date night or just hanging out with friends.
