So my best and oldest friend was supposed to go out to dinner with me...unfortunately he has become a hardcore bar fly and wanted to meet here. Welp you gotta do what you gotta do. I have been here several times and it depresses me....zero ambiance. Zero energy...maybe it is the neighborhood. If you live around here heck grab a drink but don't go out of your way
The blended tiki drinks here are dangerously delicious! Most tiki bars in the city don't make blended drinks, so this was such a pleasant surprise. Pricing was also very reasonable. However...the vibes were a bit uncomfortable though. The bouncer kept the front door open most of the night, so I was freezing despite being bundled in a warm puffer. I was also suffocating from the cigarette smoke coming directly from outside the door. If you don't mind the cold wind and inhaling secondhand cigarette smoke, then this place would be perfect! Note that this place doesn't actually close at 2am as stated. Everyone had to leave around 1:30am, although staff gave us a heads up around 1:20am so we had time to finish our drinks.

No food, but bring your own from the neighborhood, no worries Tell Terence and John hello when you go in for a fruity drink or a cold beer.
Sort of divey tiki bar in the inner sunset. Tiki drink options were plentiful and the glassware was super fun. We ordered the Wiki waki woo and Tiki island. Each one must've had 4-5 different liquors in them, but as with most tiki drinks, all you could taste was the juice. With that being said, the drinks were super sweet/sugary tasting. Even though the liquor wasn't noticeable via flavor, it was definitely in there. Happy we stopped in for a quick drink! Not a place I'd spend a whole night, but cool to add to a bar crawl or to get your tropical drink fix.

This time, however, I was on Noriega on my own, so I reported back and faced a dilemma: Should I try Tiki Haven as a solo tippler? OK, it wasn't really a dilemma. The bigger dilemma was whether I should wait fifteen minutes for the door to open at 4PM. The bartender was on time and quite friendly since I was his only customer. The decor had an appropriate castaway, surf's-up vibe with a tinge of "Gilligan's Island" grass-skirt nostalgia. The menu was a cornucopia of tropical libations that would please even the Howells with all tiki drinks priced at $13. I had the Mango Banana Colada which came in its own vintage ceramic gorilla head vessel. No parasol though. It was tantalizing with mango, banana liqueur, rum pineapple, and coconut...all my favorite flavors in one gorilla head (photo: https://bit.ly/3Db7dH7). I sat outside in their makeshift hut on the edge of the sidewalk. I found it relaxing even though school kids would saunter by staring at me drinking from the gorilla head. I just ignored them as I didn't want to give off a pedophile vibe. Now I can report back to Jamie that this bar receives the Ed U. seal of approval. This bar has the word 'tiki' in its name but it's more like a neighborhood bar with tiki drinks and decor. I saw a lot of regulars and people who knew each other, and those people were drinking beer and shots and not the tiki drinks from the menu. Also, the music was hip hop and rap and not the kind that makes you feel like you're on a tropical island. We ordered a variety of drinks throughout the night: zombie, mango banana colada, tiki blossom, peach on the beach, mai tai, and pink flamingo. The zombie and mai tai drinks (the ones I ordered) were very strong and you can really taste the alcohol. They were okay but not as good as other ones I've had elsewhere. The other drinks were sweeter and easier to drink. Our favorite drink was the peach on the beach which tasted like the white gummy drink from Jamba Juice. It seemed like drinks were either very sweet or very strong with no in-between. All the tiki drinks are $13 which is straightforward. It's a small space and a lot of people were standing and you might have to do the same. They don't serve food but there's a vending machine with snacks if you need. We came at around 10:30pm on a Friday night and it was busy but after about 11pm it was pretty empty. If you're expecting a fully immersive tiki bar with all those bells and whistles, this place is (mostly) not it. However, it was still a fun place to hang out and we ended up spending 3 hours here so we definitely had a good time.
It was our first time at Tiki Haven and I don't know why we haven't been here before! I love the tiki motif, the large screens with multiple sports games on, the juke box playing oldies and the delicious stiff drinks! The bartender makes great strong drinks. He's very personable and efficient. Patrons buy him drinks and toast him. The bouncer/guard Clark is friendly, does a great job, is a fellow martial artist and I like his armor. There is an old school Buck Hunt shooting game that is fun. There is a table top electronic poker game. The customers are friendly, welcoming and everyone has a good time. There were 3-4 people dancing to ABBA's Dancing Queen by the juke box. I really like the vibe and definitely will return. I'm glad we found this hidden gem.
We are tiki bar lovers and have made it a goal to go to every tiki bar in SF. However, we found this to be more of a sports bar with a few tiki themed items. Not as hardcore as some of our other faves. There was a comedy show happening in the outdoor area. We didn't have tickets but could have listened in if we really tried. THE COST Total $33 for two drinks. THE DRINKS * Mango Banana Colada ($13) - 2 stars Too much banana for me! Overwhelming and too sweet, and I like sweet! * Kokomo ($13) - 3 stars Much more my jam than the Mango Banana. Tasty and not too strong.
How come I never knew about this place? I know the Outer Sunset, and the Inner Sunset.. but missed the cool little Middle Sunset neighborhood! Walked by here and just had to check it out! Unpretentious neighborhood dive bar w/ tiki decor! Had a delicious blended drink w/ dark AND light rum! Very nice bartender, and a regular asked if I minded before they turned on the football game.
Really cool tiki bar in the Sunset. Kind of has a dive bar feel to it but the drinks are a little pricey. All the bartenders are super chill and always give good service. The drinks are good and we enjoy the different mugs they serve them in. If it's busy, don't expect to find a place to sit as it does get tight.

I have to say, this tiki bar was such a delight to come across while visiting our friends in SF. The area was easy to find parking and the seating was perfect. I love the tiki ambience and the welcome greeting from the moment my boyfriend and I walked in by Terrance, our delightful bartender. We had three blended drinks, forbidden island, which I loved since I love dole whip, pink flamingo which my boyfriend loved, and tiki tea, which we shared and enjoyed. Terrance was so easy to carry a conversation with. He was a really experienced bartender who also grew up in the community where tiki haven is located and he told me a lot of history of the area. I really enjoyed his cheerfulness and optimism, his delicious blended drinks were a fantastic bonus to enjoying the tiki haven experience. read more

Easy parking started us off right! The area isn't the most visually appealing but the bar staff, the comedians and the prices were very good. We will definitely be going back. Restrooms were a 6 out of 10. Not great but not terrible. Huge shout out to the quick service and amazingly funny host of the night. read more

My long, overdue review! I can't believe I haven't left one yet! My friend introduced Tiki To me a few years back and I have been coming here sporadically on and off ever since. I can't say about the other owners but John is a very nice dude. He is there often and makes sure everything is running smoothly. The bartenders there are also very chill and friendly (and cute!) The bouncer Clark is also nice and makes sure there's no troublemakers. For the most part, I haven't seen any fights break out at Tiki but better safe than sorry, right? Conveniently located close to restaurants and late night eats as well, in case there's been too much overindulgence! It's also conveniently located next to two other bars in case you want to break it up and bar hop around. I enjoy getting fire bowls as well as regular beer and shots here. One of the many best things here is probably the jukebox, so you can play your tunes and get lit! read more

I found this cool little spot for some drinks as I was intrigued by their Fire Bowl ($17), which serves 2-4 people. They have many flavors to choose from and even allow you to combine them, so we got the Strawberry Mango mix. Between two people, we actually finished the entire bowl even though it was a serious struggle. It's a fun experience for groups with a huge punch bowl of alcohol and seeing your drink get lit on fire. Despite that, the taste was so sweet and full of alcohol flavor. It took me back to my college days drinking AMFs to get as drunk as possible for as cheap as possible. We later tried adding in some extra tequila to make it taste less sweet, but don't think it helped that much. So next thought was to just get extra shots on its own, which was cheap at only $5. I was getting pretty buzzed from the drink from there and needed something tasty. Good thing they have a vending machine for some drunchies. I got myself a small bag of hot fries chips for $1 to recover from the Fire Bowl. This was definitely more of a locals type of spot with the bartender chatting it up with everyone at the bar. read more

Small local bar in sunset. This bar really takes care of you. The owner here is very nice and pours strong drinks. We were here for a friend's birthday because him and his friend group comes here regularly. It was my first time here but I definitely will be returning. The cocktail that I ordered was pretty strong I was definitely feeling it after that one drink, which usually does not happen. The drinks here are strong but they still taste like a cocktail and not overpowering which is how I personally like my drinks. They have some video games in at the back of the var and a snack machine that has good Asian snacks for your drunchies. Overall this is a good small local bar with good vibes if you're stopping in for some drinks for a great price. This place def has a lot of regulars for reasons! read more

How is this place so cheap? $10 per tiki drink and mine was strong and sweet, just the way I like it! I really appreciated the service, and though we aren't regulars, we were treated as some. He made our drinks so large that they wouldn't fit in the glass, so he served the leftover into an additional glass. I was so surprised, and honestly thankful. I would highly recommend coming here after you've enjoyed a delicious dinner nearby! read more

Came here with coworkers for the first time when we wanted some tiki drinks after our shift. Made it around midnight and stayed for a couple rounds of drinks. The drinks were good and fairly priced plus the vibe was nice for a Friday night. Good music, nice bartenders, and have returned since for more tiki time. :)) read more
NYE we stopped by for a quick drink before karaoke. The four of us shared the fire bowl in strawberry mango, and it did not disappoint! It was like an alcoholic slushee. The price is right! Bartenders were super friendly. Even though we weren't there for the midnight champagne bottle pop, they offered us some leftover champagne. If we weren't leaving for karaoke we would have ordered more. We definitely gotta come by here again! read more

Pretty lit Hawaiian bar that I've been to so far. Lots of people here on a Friday night, but we were able to share a table with another party. I am assuming because the too bar is close to other restaurants nearby. The music was a mixture of hip hop and modern pop music at the same time. I celebrated my girlfriend's birthday and I had a great time here. The bartender, Kathy, was super sweet and nice to us tonight. ALSO, there was a small pug in the bar. He was the sweetest and kind dog ever! I didn't know you can bring a dog here!! The restroom was clean and nice too. So you won't be grossed out despite being a bar. Oh yeah, I bought 2 shots of Don Julio tequila shots for $20. The price wasn't too bad, especially when you compare it to other bars in the city. read more

I've had this bookmarked for awhile (totally forgot about it) and I stopped by here because my cousin recommended it for my friend & I on a Friday night. So many years ago I was all over the fruity sweet as hell drinks..you know...strawberry daquiris, B&J wine coolers, Chevy's fruity margaritas. While, I still don't like pretty strong alcoholic drinks these sweet drinks just don't agree with me as much anymore. I got a mango banana colada and my friend got a pina colada (both $8). Mine was a little heavier on the alcohol than hers, but she asked for a little more rum & got it. Nice fruity flavor, but really sweet still. Tiki Bar has a large enough cocktail menu, standard prices, friendly bartenders, cute decor and a chill crowd. Boys & girls...on Fridays you get leid here! Will try to come back sometime for happy hour. read more

When will the comedy shows on Saturday end so we can enjoy drinks without having to buy tickets again? Your neighbors miss being able to tiki without tickets!
I don't have an answer but I'd also like to know, haha. It made me laugh to see this question on the yelp page as it took me a bit to figure out Sat nights were not the time to go if you were looking for a spot to chat with friends. I just come on…
