Great vibes and great cocktails and cider. Friendly and easy parking! Service was phenomenally again!

Today is my first visit here. It's on Ocean Ave but we found parking right away. First impression is that this is an A+ little dive. Loving the nostalgic vibe. They've got a great celestino of beer, including a cider on draft today. The bartender is super friendly. And the crowd here today is friendly. Vibe is a friendly neighborhood bar.

Hanging out and watching a Giants game at the Ave is like chillin' at a barbershop. Bunch of guys talking, sports, smack, ish', and what not. There isn't a pool table or anything else to keep you occupied but the friendly regulars are lively and will keep you entertained. They do have some old school pictures on the walls for decoration. As well as some old school class and football/basketball team pics from the local all boys HS that's right around the corner. Riordan is the barkeep's alma mater as well as mine. There's some serious male bonding to be had here.

This was the first bar I ever entered 5 years ago. It holds a special place in my heart. That is the kind of energy you will feel at this bar. It's very welcoming and neighborly. Bay Area game days are on point, and you never know who you are going to run into or how many funny conversations you're gona have. The jukebox is on point and the 90s hiphop will make you happy! I love them especially because they carry ginger beer! That is usually the missing ingredient in most mixed drinks! If you're looking for a nice lowkey place to hang out and drink, come here! You won't be disappointed. P.S. Be ready to get hit on you beautiful ladies! Hahaa

I usually dont go to bars but after going here once I'm hooked, Gaby gives the best service and the drinks are fire. You have to come and see for your self.

Unless maybe if you're not a local regular customer. As a non-local, I came upon it as I was walking on Taraval all the way from Ocean Beach. The first time I visited, I was looking to wet my whistle without resorting to booze. The bartender happily complied by pouring me a Diet Coke. I felt badly I didn't order a proper stiff drink, so I tried to make up for it in the tip. Months later, I found myself returning on a rather nippy afternoon. As luck would have, just as I took a seat at the bar (and not the one shaped like a concave set of cheeks), I saw a hand drawn chalkboard advertising "Tito's Borghetti Espresso Martinis $12". Yep, that was it for me (Photo 7). The Tito's brand really made the difference, especially the Caffè Borghetti Espresso Liqueur. Very smooth with just the right amount of kick. Meanwhile, the true regulars were socializing with each other like an episode of "Cheers". I just need to take a long ride on the L-Taraval MUNI line to get here. At Foghorn, you have the option to go all flats or all drummettes but what makes this a 5 star business? * Open all day for those who eat at odd hours like at 3 pm. * Shout out to Mary Grace for the wonderful hospitality. She was friendly, warm, and attentive, anticipating our needs by providing takeout containers, bags, and even a small bag for our leftover sauces. She also offered my doggies water. * Over a dozen wing flavors: Buffalo, Nashville Hot, BBQ, Dry Spice, Ghost Glaze, Jamaican Jerk, Pineapple Basil, Honey Crunch, General Tso's, and more. Wings come in set of five for $9.50, +$1 if you want all flats or all drummettes. - We ordered Pineapple Basil, Nashville Hot, Jamaican Jerk, and General Tso's ($9.50 x4) - wings were hot, crunchy, and juicy with the pineapple basil (sweet, herbaceous) and nashville hot (a creeper) being the favs. - Don't sleep on the sides! The fries ($6) were golden and crunchy with a light, fluffy interior, and the coleslaw ($5) was fresh and crisp, tossed in a bright, tangy vinaigrette. * Wings Wednesdays (5 pm - 6 pm): 50 cent wings w/ purchase of a drink. Wings come as a set of five with 10 wings max per drink order. * Not a beer drinker? They have low abv cocktails made from low proof vodka, tequila, etc. Not the usual sweet wine, sherry, or vermouth. * TVs to watch the game with hip hop bumping in the background. * Dog-friendly!

Her service, attention, and friendliness are consistently stellar; it's the kind of hospitality that makes you feel genuinely welcomed every time you walk in. Kelley is fantastic at helping with recommendations, whether we're trying something new or just can't decide. She also has an incredible sense for timing, especially with kids at the table. She makes a point to get their orders in quickly, which helps ward off delays (and the occasional hangry moment), and that level of awareness does not go unnoticed. Above all, what really stands out, beyond the great dining experience, is that Kelley remembers us. In a busy neighborhood spot, that personal touch means a lot and keeps us coming back. Do you love double-layered tortillas around your super-meaty tacos? Well, then Underdogs Too is your kinda place! =). A Nick's Way Taco is a taco with a crispy corn tortilla wrapped in a soft corn tortilla with Monterey Jack cheese, pinto beans, pico de gallo & guacamole. I ordered two tacos "Nick's Way" . The first was a regular Pollo taco (grilled chicken) and the other was a Pollo Asado taco (shredded chicken raised by local provider Mary's Chicken). Both tacos came with a lot of pico de Gallo, and a HUGE dollop of Guacamole! After trying both of the tacos back to back, I think I'll go back for the regular Pollo (grilled chicken) version, as I found it more tasty.. PRO TIP: These little tacos are very filling! Next time, I'll just order just one for lunch - that's plenty, unless I was absolutely starving.... I first experienced these tacos when they had a booth at a local street fair, and was happy to happen upon this little corner of 46tj/Taraval way out here on the farthest Avenues in the Outer Sunset. Despite its proximity to the Ocean just a couple of blocks down the street, we visited here on a warm day to again savor this special style of taco. Worth coming back for sure. GETTING HERE: Easy transit access via the L Taraval Light Rail line which stops just across the street. Parking is relatively doable if you are willing to walk a block (worst case).
