Friendly bar tender and cool open parklet for some afternoon drinking. Good time hanging out with my bud, enjoying the day and people watching. They serve beer in a can, which is good since we were walking back and forth from parklet to bar a lot! No spillage!

Fun tiny pub...dark and intimate as an Iriah pub should be. Prices reasonable and service good. Must go to bar as they only have one tender.

I grew up in this hood, always saw old drunk people stumbling out. When I was younger I was scared of what goes on in there..I saw old people doing secret knocks to get in at 7am...Oh hell no I'm not going in. I imagined a old dark dive bar with depressing people hanging around, you know like what you see in the movies! haha. My friend said, lets go!...I'm now 36 and it was my first time stepping foot into this scary place I imagined... Oh dang! It's not scary, or dark, they are super friendly and I am addicted to the string ring game! Cheap drinks compared to the rest of SF, cool bartender, mixed crowd, all friendly! I'll be back to win $50 prize ring string competition, I don't know the name of the game :)

Cozy pub on the corner, the bartenders are literally the sweetest, occasional live music out front, no food served but plenty of nearby options to bring in

This is one of my favorite bars in SF. This Irish pub is a hidden gem, and has been a great kept secret for natives of the Sunset. It's hard to believe that I've been drinking here for close to half a decade. They have a great selection of beers on draft, and terrifically themed days of the week for drinking. My favorite is Tuesday, which is also Bacon Night! True to the name, they'll actually have a crockpot full of bacon in the back, and everything you'll need to make a BLT sandwich. They have a jukebox, darts, and a rings game in the back, and you can smoke in the alley too. They also have flat screens which will play all the local Bay Area sports games. It's cash only, but they have an ATM inside if you forget. My absolute favorite drink here is the Grand Slam, which is only available on Tuesdays. Simply named because it tastes like Denny's! This is really the main reason I keep coming back. I've seen many different bartenders here throughout the years, and they've all kept the tradition going; however, I was really disappointed when I went back a few weeks ago, and the new bartender didn't even know what it is! For the record, the Grand Slam consists of: 1 shot of Bulleit Bourbon, which is topped with butterscotch liqueur. And the drink is chased with orange juice and a piece of bacon. [To the Owner] Please, please, please keep the tradition of the Grand Slam going!!!

Decent bar to go to on Noriega Street. After everything is closed down, this place is poppin' because the other stores surrounding this bar is closed! What's really cool with this bar is that the drinks here are not overpriced at all. Pretty good vibe and atmosphere here. The only downside was that my boyfriend wasn't able to get a drink because he used his expired driver's license. I've been to bars that accepted expired licenses and this bar is the stricter one. I mean, yes the ID is expired but his birthday never changes... Also, the fact that the bartender was rude to us. She disregarded my party when we were there and gave condescending looks and responses. We didn't know why but we just got our drinks and never bothered about it.

The high decorative ceilings, stained glass accents, dark wood finishes, vintage-style lighting, and unique artwork throughout the restaurant give the place a warm and authentic feel. It feels like stepping into a historic Irish gathering spot right in the middle of San Francisco. The inside has plenty of character, with cozy booths, classic pub seating, and a spacious layout that somehow still feels intimate and welcoming. The décor and atmosphere alone make this place worth visiting, whether you're there for drinks, dinner, or simply to take in the ambiance. The food definitely lived up to the setting. I ordered the beer-battered fish and chips, and they were excellent. The fish was flaky and fresh with a crispy, golden batter that had great flavor without feeling too greasy or heavy. The fries paired well with the dish, and the tartar sauce added a nice finishing touch. I also tried the loaded potato skins, which were packed with cheese, bacon, sour cream, and green onions--flavorful and a great appetizer to share. Service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out hot and fresh. Between the quality food, generous portions, and one of the most unique interiors I've seen in San Francisco, Johnny Foley's Irish House is absolutely worth stopping by. A great combination of atmosphere, comfort food, and classic Irish pub charm.

It's generally a good place to watch a game because they have several TVs, but during my visit, they were showing way too much baseball. Having multiple screens on baseball was a bit boring; they definitely need to prioritize the NBA more when the playoffs are on. The pub food is good, and I noticed that the burgers and sandwiches are surprisingly priced lower than the wings. On the recommendation of my server, I opted for the Philly Cheesesteak over the Fish & Chips. The cheesesteak was okay--not the best I've had, but certainly not the worst--and it was quite large and filling. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, though ultimately a bit mid-tier. Service can be spotty at Kezar, but it was perfectly fine during this latest visit. Overall, it's a reliable Haight-Ashbury staple if you're looking for a filling meal and a place to catch some sports, provided they have the right game on the screen.

However, the game we wanted to watch was being shown in the back of the bar and they had the nerve to charge $20 a head! In order for you to go to the bathroom you will need to go through the back. When I walked to the back there were like 4-5 people tops on the benches watching the game I wanted to watch while the front bar was packed. I'm not a bar owner but wouldn't it make more sense to show all the games for free while people spent money on drinks and food through out the bar. The waitress was also not good she gave us a thumbnail size of ranch for an order of wings. She also got our drinks wrong and when you ask her for more ranch it also came with a side of attitude. Needless to say I'm never going back to the Kezar Pub I didn't like the ambiance it was small dark and cramped plus they only showed some of the games for that day and when we asked to put another game we wanted to watch on the small TV (That was free) they said that the fire stick is not working. So the Kezar Pub does NOT show all the games. I give them 2 stars for the homie that was guarding the door to the pay per view section yes, there was a security guard charging $20 to go to the other empty room and he was so sympathetic he was like yeah bro "I know it's some BS I know but u can catch the score if you like." A real one.
